Dv7-6b57NR system recovery error ' The Recovery attempt failed.

I hope someone can help me with the following problem.  I bought a DV7-6B57NR of a sale by auction online (not Ebay) and they said that they removed the BONE using a program called 'Blanco', because it is a returning customer and they wanted to clean up before data of re - sale.  I ordered recovery disks from HP by product and serial number in order to restore the operating system.

SN - [removed for privacy]

PN - A1785UAR #ABA

I received three recovery DVDs.  2 DVD system recovery and recovery of Driver and Application 1 dvd.

I tried to restore factory reset.  The process took 30/40 minutes and installed all three discs.  Then the laptop has rebooted and started to load windows, windows 7 logo came and went through more than a few steps.

Finally it came to a window (Recovery Manager) with the following msg

"The recovery attempt failed.  Select one of the following buttons"

There are three buttons

Save log |  Details |  Retry

The following is details.  Something attracted my attention is, see below in red (my version of Win 7 should be Home Premium 64-bit).  HP sent me DVDs bad?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I was trying to do a restore with the discs I bought at HP and I had this "Recovery attempt failed" message with options for the recovery to restart or show details. So I restarted the recovery and inserted disk 1 as she asked. He went through the process again and it came with this same message "recovery attempt failed." This time, I clicked on the details and it came with Notepad called CTOERROR.flg with the following:

    [13:17:34.28] ChkErrBB.CMD:

My hard drive is completely erased and I can't preform a system recovery by pressing f11 and I can't access Windows.

My question is why can I not successfully complete the recovery process?

On my fourth attempt, I got Windows 8 successfully.

Thank you both for your help.

What I did I went into the BIOS, I changed the date to 01/02/2012 and then secure boot disabled and enabled legacy mode.

I put in the recovery discs, with the exception of the supplement disk and leave them in their process and when it prompted me to restart, I did, but I went into the BIOS again and changed the date to 01/02/2012.

I then let him complete the recovery process, it took about 6 hours.

After that, I was in Windows 8.

I then went into the BIOS and set the correct date and enabled secure boot and disabled the legacy mode.

  • Recovery attempt failed 15 TS envy

I bought a laptop HP Envy TouchSmart 15 about 7 months ago, the model 15-j152nr, the E7Z52UA product. I installed office 2013 on that and worked very well. Four days ago, I tried to use MS word, but it crashed immediately. I tried every application for office, and they all did the same thing. I did some research and found to fix it, I would need to do a cleaning of the HARD drive. Therefore, I tried to use the disks I burned but they wouldn't appear as a boot option. So I ordered a new series of HP. I got a USB key with everything I needed. I plugged it in and booted the computer, everything was fine, he installed the software and drivers, then he tried to load the office, but when he did, a message came from the Recovery Manager box. He said that "the recovery attempt failed. Select one of the following buttons. These buttons allow you to save paper, knowledge or try again. I retried to use this key 5 times to perform a system recovery, but each time, in the same exact spot I get this box. I also ran a computer complete diagnosis to ensure that it is not a hardware problem. Everything going brilliantly.  If I hit the button Details, the message I get comes Notepad and stipulates the following:

ChkErrBB.CMD: Detects an error in the PININST_BBV.

    ChkErrBB.CMD: Check C:\system.sav\logs\BurnBootWarn.log
    ChkErrBB.CMD: or, visit c:\systems.sav\logs\BurnBootMerge.log

There were several discussions on this issue, but they are all by people using physical disks. I unfortunately have a USB key. Any help with this issue is much appreciated

Have you tried referring to the date 01/01/2012 in the BIOS? This trick works several times you use any recovery media.

Your laptop is still under warranty. If you cannot resolve it contact HP Support:

    Hi there @ako89kurdish.

Let me welcome in the HP support community where you can ask questions, find solutions, and get help with problems you encounter.

Cables and devices to disconnect all the connected such as personal media players, USB drives, printers and faxes. Remove support for internal hard drives and remove any recently added hardware internally.

It may be necessary to disable startup secure in the BIOS to start the computer using recovery media (CD/DVD or USB key).

The new recovery for 2015 fall update manager must be downloaded and installed to successfully carry out a recovery of the system using HP Recovery Manager.

It takes a minimum of 3 GB of free space to install the update in the Recovery Manager.

Do you back up all personal files and read all of the instructions required warning before performing a system recovery? To backup your files will result in a loss of files and information you don't want to lose.

To get the instructions back up and save your files, see back up your files (Windows 10: 8).

The full recovery process may take 4 to 6 hours or longer to complete. For best results, the computer must not be connected to the Internet. The computer will restart several times during the process. Do not turn off or interrupt the recovery process until the prompt to log on Windows.

Here are a few links to a thread in forum where other people have experienced similar problems and solved it: detect an error in the PININST_BBV

  • HP g5000 system recovery disk fails 1002

    Hello

My frends daughter took the computer hp laptop in America and then the hard drive failed with no recovery disc, she went to a repair centre and had a new fixed hard drive.

I ordered that the best2serve system recovery disk but the laptop would not boot from it?

I tried the disc in my HP desktop computer and it worked fine this DVD player is also suspect.

I then tried my Dell C521 Office Vista recovery disc and worked well.

If I then mounted the disk recovery was going well and I could read that all just strange content cannot boot from it.

At least downloaded Bios HP update in the case who would fix it (not good still no boot)

then I went back to my office and built a flash drive USB Bootable with the contents of the recovery disc

It starts very well and started the drive to rebuild some recovery Manager (don't remember the exact words)

and shortly after failure of contact error 1002 HP

searched error 1002 and WoW wish I had lost any time to buy the drive for recovery as endless calls all say that they do not work!

PS he also destroyed the Dell Vista work making

can someone suggest where to start

    (1) to install HP real recovery disk recovery image (with suspect dvd)

    (2) to recover money if possible

    (3) ps AS USUAL out of WARRANTY

After more than 24 hours now and the laptop has been rebuilt and updated.

  • Laptop HP Emvy 15: System Recovery keeps failing

    Hello

I'm trying to reinstall original OS (WIN 8.1).  I use three DVD recovery discs provided by HP, but unfortunately for some reason any recovery keeps failing.   Besides the machine will start only in the first DVD.  According to the BIOS, the laptop was built in 2014 (which apparently has some influence on the recovery someware).

    Any assistance woule be appreciated

    Tony

    Hi CherylG,

This somewhat embarrassing.  My problem was solved when the operating system has been reinstalled.  Initially I contacted HP customer care with a view to see what my chances were to have replaced the operating system.  You see the recovery partition has been deleted by mistake when I was convinced to give a Linux OS a go.  I could not get used and decided to return to Windows.

Anyway somewhere in the conversation with the customer service "re-install" became "valorisation" and a few days later, a system recovery DVD set arrived on my doorstep.  As you know, I tried various methods to try to resolve the problem without success.   Yet once, I talked to CS and it was decided that I send to the machine to HP (AWA) to Sydney for repairs. One day ortol later that I have received a call from a technician who asked if there were files or data on the hard drive that I need to be saved.  I said nothing on the HARD drive and he said thathe would like to reinstall the OS.  That's what the report says, reinstalled OS and the device.

I guess the moral of this story is to recover whatever it is there must be something to recover.  That's why I kept getting the message "try to restore system failed" or words to that effect.

  • Unable to connect error headset/Bluetooth Headset: the pairing attempt failed in an unknown error, is the reported error code: 0x80070005

Original title: Bluetooth headset not connecting

I have a Plantronics 9xxBackBeat headset, and I'm trying to connect my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6000)

However, when pairing the headset I gives me the message
    "Device pairing failed.
Matching attempt failed in an unknown error, is the reported error code: 0x80070005
Contact the manufacturer of your device. »
However, there is no driver for the 9xxBackBeat headphones and when I contacted their support, I'm referred my OS manufacturer, but when I talk about Microsoft, they tell me to go to Plantronics.
Can someone tell me please how to fix this error?
If it is not a mistake on the side of Plantronic, and if it's not a mistake on the side of Microsoft Windows, and then what happens?

    Hello

    1. are you able to connect other devices via Bluetooth from your computer?

2 - is this compatible with your operating system device?

First thing I suggest you to check the manual and if this device is compatible with your operating system.

I suggest you try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.

Method 1: The problems with Bluetooth devices: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Troubleshoot-problems-with-Bluetooth-enabled-devices

Method 2: If the problem persists, then try to update driver:

    a. click the Start button.
    (b) in the search box type devmgmt.msc and then press ENTER.
    c. Select Bluetooth peripheral device and right click on it.
    d. now, select Update.
    e. restart your computer.

Method 3: Also I suggest to add as peripheral to your Bluetooth computer and later check the required services running on your computer.

    Set up a Bluetooth device:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/set-up-a-Bluetooth-enabled-device

Change settings for a Bluetooth compatible device:

    Hope this information is useful.

  • The HP dv7-6135dx recovery attempt failed

I have a HP dv7-6135dx post-warranty hp specs say he had windows 7 Home Edition premium 64-bit, the hard drive went bad, so I replaced the 750 GB drive with a 500 GB drive, they are the two advanced Format drives but not the same manufacturer... anyway, I ordered a new recovery disc for my hp laptop and down them... It goes through the process of 3 hours and at the end he comes up with the message that says: recovery failed. And then it gives me three options: save the newspaper, details and retry. If you press details, it shows you a CTOERROR. FLG file...

The said file p2pp burnboot verification failed...

    He also says...

    (registrydevicecheck)
    result = failure.

    Device failed #0
    Description: unknown device
    PnPDeviceId; usb\vid_0000 & pid_0000\6 & 283b6af9 & 0 & 2
    Code (43) (43).

And at the bottom it says...

    Sysprep_succeeded. There is no tag...

Bbvlast.cmd: (20 x) CTOERROR.flg is detected at the end of the process of PBO

I really need to get this figured out...

No you don't need all. For example in the category Chipset, you need to Installation of the Intel Chipset and Intel Management Engine. But there are 3 different USB drivers only one matches your hardware. Also, you will not need driver Intel Graphics. The AMD graphics driver should include the two Intel & AMD for switchable graphics. Under network drivers you have Realtek for the wired lan port of your laptop, don't know not what wireless card you only 1 driver will match.

Details. Most likely it is hard disk problem. When you restart, see if you can get into the diagnostics (F2 as you turn on) and run a full test of the material loop.

  • System Restore error: "the changes to the G: drive after this point cannot be reversed, because the drive has been either excluded from monitoring system restore or has been disabled or deleted.»

I had some problems with my computer recently I knew could be solved with the system restore.  Then I went into system restore and went to a restore point that was a few weeks back.  After I clicked on it and pressing the ok button, the following message appeared: "the changes made to the G: drive after this point cannot be reversed, because the drive has been either excluded from monitoring system restore or has been disabled or deleted.»  I let it continue and do the restore.  My computer has rebooted and came up with an error in system restore that says restore failed.  It's the same thing with other restore points.  I don't know why I get this error because I not made any changes to this hard drive except for copy of a document word on him.  I thought that the System Restore monitors removable disks.  Anyone know what is happening here and how I can get the restoration of the system to operate without the mistakes to come?

I have Norton.  Disable the Tamper Protection works.  I also noticed that since the G: drive was a portable hard drive, System Restore wanted to exercise oversight.  He wants to monitor all hard drives.  Turn on external and portable hard disks prevents tracking system restore changes to the readers.  I don't think anyone would have the system restore review external drives anyway.  It is not necessary.

  • Cannot start, had to use safe mode. Event Viewer, event system properties, error "the device / Device / Harddisk:O / D, has a bad block.

I use my desktop computer to post my question, my laptop has the error.  First, he appeared on the journal 09/12/2010.  Said event properties' Source: disc, it gives the date and time, category: no, Type: error event ID: 7, critics: n/a, computer: laptop, Description: device/Device / Harddisk:O, / D, has a bad block for more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp

It has not helped me, does anyone have any suggestions?

This means that the player has / is a failure and should be replaced.

Your laptop may have preinstalled utilities test which can be consulted before starting, manufacturers mobile site would give information
