DV8P recovery Image (factory settings)

I'm fallen on the BSOD problem a few months ago and only managed to solve this recently, however, by using a DV11P recovery image to restore my DV8P, but I would feel much safer if I could restore the original factory settings/files DV8P, the problem is, I don't have a recovery partition.

Could someone Please provide me with a copy or a link to a picture of recovery of original DV8P 5830 32 GB 32-bit Windows 8.1. It would be much appreciated.

If you contact Dell support, I think it will give it.

  • Satellite C850D - error 10-FC12_045D during recovery to factory settings

    Hello

I own a C850D satellite with Win7 64-bit, and for several days, the system became extremely slow and inadmissible. I first thought of a virus so I started it in integrated security mode and running antivirus (MS security essentials), another analysis has been made to a live CD antivirus Kapersky but no virus was detected.

I took the decision to restore the whole system parameters according to the instructions of the user manual, and the restore process will fail with an error 10-FC12-045D.

I suspect that the cause is a faulty hard drive. 2 quesntions:

    1. can anyone confirm this diagnosis? Should I seek other ways to diagnose a hardware problem on this laptop?
2 - if it is confirmed that the HARD drive is broken, as I suspect, what is the process to get a new one and reinstall the OS Win7 to factory settings? I don't have any recovery media.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Yves.

    Hello

If your laptop still has factory settings follow the user s manuals recommendation and create recovery discs. Test you like these discs and try to install the recovery image. If the same problem occurs again and again I m afraid HDD can be the troublemaker.

I put t know if the warranty is still valid, but I recommend you to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and ask for help. Addresses and phone numbers, you can find on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/

  • When I'm not a recovery to factory settings.

Once you do a restore to factory settings, you can not back.

This isn't like the system restore.

If you have lost data, you can try this:

If you have an installation clean back to factory settings, you normally wiped your hard drive clean during the process.

    You can try this program:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/Recuva.html

Recuva is a file undeletion tool that allows you to analyze your hard drives or media cards for files that have been deleted or formatted. It presents you a list of files that have been found, as well as an assessment of their potential for recovery, a preview option, and a hex viewer to inspect the content. You can limit your search to files of a certain type (e.g. images, audio etc.) and choose between a quick and a thorough analysis approach. The program also includes a secure deletion option that allows you to permanently delete files that were found while parsing, to avoid any future recoveries.

I have recently updated from vista to Windows 7 and now I press F8 during the restart of my pc and access the repair mode option configure initial Setup no longer, even if the files on the second partition of HARD drive for this purpose remain there and intact

I also made a recovery CD using the software provided, Toshiba, just in case but that doesn't seem to work either, or am I missing some piece of software so that it can work?

Please help, I need this place and works with emergency

    > I have recently updated from vista to Windows 7 and now I press F8 during the restart of my pc and access the repair mode option configure initial Setup no longer, even if the files on the second partition of HARD drive for this purpose remain there and intact

I guess the Win 7 update has changed the Boot Manager and this is why this option does not appear in any case.
The Toshiba Recovery disk that you have created can help you restore the laptop back to factory settings. But this means that the HARD drive all over would be formatted again and you will lose the Win 7 again.

To start the installation of the recovery disk, you must start from this drive and will have to follow the news on the screen.

  • Qosmio F60 - 14Q: after recovery to factory settings, don't be loading not windows?

I have a Qosmio, F60 - 14 Q, yesterday, I got an error "Windows has detected a hard disk problem. I contacted Toshiba support who advised me to run checkdisk which I did and 1 bad cluster was found, but the problem has not disappeared.

Then they advised me to get back to the factory setting and save before I do, then I made backup and also made a recovery CD. Then I ran the Setup program that went well, but windows has not been loaded and blue screen came.

It restarted again and request to insert a CD while I inserted the cd of restoration which lead me to the same place that I ran from recovery. The difference being it did not run this time when I tried?

I think that it does not detect the hard disk, any help would be appreciated.

You can see the details of the HARD drive in the BIOS?
Verify that access to the BIOS (press F2 during boot) and the details of the HARD drive must be mentioned on the first page.

If the HARD drive is not... Well then the HARD drive is faulty

    Hi all

    1. Install of Win7 64 bit is dead and has been reinstalled at the same time another installation of WIN7. Now it's getting back to the original stand. Due to a regular WIN7 version has been (re-) installed, I can not exceed the recovery "TOSHIBA HDD RECOVERY" option!

The HARD drive got D: drive with the folder of HARD disk RECOVERY.
Is it possible to return to the original install of WIN7 from Toshiba?

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

    Hello

    > Due to a regular WIN7 version has been (re-) installed, I can not exceed the recovery "TOSHIBA HDD RECOVERY" option!

This means that the BMR is eliminated and changed and so the HARD drive recovery option isn't appearing any more in the start menu.

The option can be the use of the recovery diskette.
You can order a disk to recover here:

  • How can I reset to factory settings if I formatted the hard drive?

Hello, so long story short the two drives on my Alienware m17x r4 have been formatted (the 32 GB SSD and HDD of 750 GB). What I didn't realize at the time, was that the image/factory settings are stored somewhere in there. So now, I wonder if I can get a picture of system to factory settings or if there is another way to return to the factory settings? Any help would be appreciated.

I am running Windows 7 in addition, in the case where what matters.

If you want to create an image of Win7 or Win8 factory restore use AlienRespawn (all that came pre-installed), you should do so before you installed Windows 10 (and/or your formatted disks). It must have been written to a flash drive and stored in a safe place (not hit).

Re - install Windows 7 (or 8.1 is similar).
    en.Community.Dell.com/.../19376654

If you need media of Windows OEM Dell-Alienware to clean-install of Windows, contact Dell.
    www.Dell.com/.../Media

You can get Windows-10. ISO from Microsoft, or possibly Dell support downloads
(for your specific Service of some machines label that comes with Win-10 preinstalled).

    My notes:

Alien-Respawn is simply a version of the Alien on the theme of Dell backup and restore (DBaR)

    dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/.../Dell-Backup-and-Recovery

It doesn't seem to work correctly under Windows-10.

    www.dell.com/.../EN

You should now use Win - 10 backup Imaging or a third-party software such as Acronis and Macrium Reflect.

  • How to restore a computer hp pavilion dv6500 entertainment to its factory settings?

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion dv6500 Entertainment PC. Ive downloaded so many viruses and other things by chance (thanks the sisters-_-) I was wondering how I could restore it to its factory settings, thank you!

    Hello

Press F11 at startup is the normal way to start the recovery process to factory settings on an HP machine and do the guests

HP normally allows you to make a destructor or a non-destructive recovery to factory settings

    Select the destructive recovery

Here are some other ways to reinstall vista:

    1. contact HP and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    2. that vista is preinstalled, you should have a recovery partition

You can make your own recovery disks to reinstall back to the factory settings in the event of a future hard drive failure

ask HP or read any manual that came with your machine on the way to do

    3. or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

  • After a restore to the factory settings, where personal files are?

I recently had a problem on my laptop (gateway) that prevents Windows to boot the system.  I went through the automatic tests on splash screens.  Files were good, the disk check was good, went to a restore point, but still was not able to start.  I got a message that there was no specified "configuration change".  So I chose the option to restore factory settings.  I didn't need a disk to do - it took place without no boot disk required.  There was a message related to the restoration who said that my files could be stored on the hard drive partitioned part.  I couldn't get to my personal files anyway, so I decided to take the chance to do the restore and hope that Windows would save my stuff.  Well, Windows is running, but I can't find my files.  The page of my computer shows 2 hard drives, 'Local' and 'Recovery', but I don't know how to access recovery or if my files are still there.

Is there a chance that my stuff is still in this machine, or I'm just the GROUND?

Thanks in advance for any kind souls who can solve the riddle!

    Hello

"Recovery" partition will be the software that was used to perform the recovery to factory settings.

We should never touch except to make recovery disks, failure of hard disk for you to reinstall Vista on a new hard drive.

Windows does not save your data when you perform a restore to the factory settings.

Your recovery software factory settings is provided by the gateway.

It is an Option in their software.

It is the gateway to this topic information.

    "Restoration with automatic data backup.

All files and existing files are copied to the C:\Backup folder on the hard drive and a new copy of Windows is installed.

You will need to contact Gateway Support and ask them where to find your data saved their recovery process if the information above did not save where gateway said it would.

  • I'm trying to restore Vista OS to the factory settings and it requires a password that I never created.

It is an Acer Aspire 5315 that my mom gave to my daughter. She says that she has never created a system restore point that requires a password so how to do this? Oh, and I have no disc as it came preloaded.

    Hello

A System Restore Point is not the process of factory settings recovery.

Using a System Restore Point puts the settings of the computer to an earlier date.

Recovery to factory settings is to reinstall the operating system to how it was when new.

Some Acer models have a default password that you use to start the process of the "hidden" recovery Partition Recovery

Usually press you Alt + F10 at startup to start the process of relocation and Acer default password should be 6 zeros, unless someone has changed.

If not, give Acer a phone call.
