DVD / CD-ROM non-active device due to configuration problems
Hello, I am trying to use my DVD / drive of CD-ROM, but it does not. In the administration of devices, I received the following notification in HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT20L ATA Device: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19), I tried to find a solution, but this would not be possible, could you please help me?. Thanks and greetings
Rather than use the fixit try following the steps under "Windows 7 or Windows Vista" in the MS KB article:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/982116
These measures, to remove the UpperFilters and LowerFilters, values if they exist, in the registry key named can help.
Create a System Restore Point beforehand and restart the computer later.
You can also copy and paste the following text in Notepad and save to a .reg file (save with the .reg extension and give a name like fixcd.reg):
First create a system restore point, and then double-click the saved .reg file, add to the registry and restart the computer.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]
"UpperFilters" = -.
'LowerFilters ' = -.

DVD CD-ROM on Equium A200 - error Code 37 problem
Hello
My laptop does not recognize not the DVD or CD even if the laptop is only 2 months old. When I go to Device Manager came up with an error message: Windows cannot initialize the device of this material (Code 37) driver.
Anyone know if it is an easy problem to solve?
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Perhaps this accelerated procedure could contribute to:
Remove the drive from the Device Manager CD/DVD and restart the laptop.
Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}Restart again

DVD/CD rom drive reads CDs but does not read the DVD.
My Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop has a DVD/CD rom drive. It loads all the CD I want and them automatically opens on the D drive. When I put in a DVD movie it will not play. I open my computer, and then look at the D drive, and it does not even recognize that there is a DVD inside but it shows a screen of a CD that I put in there. This tells me that it works and it has a green light on the side which shows. Also, when I insert the DVD it makes sounds as it tries to recognize, but then it stops and does not appear. Can anyone help? I really appreciate it. I'm not very savvy computer. I know that some in this topic because I am a teacher and try to catch up with things, but I'm certainly no computer technology. Thank you very much! Let me know if I need to give more info. I think the reader is Sony CRX835EK but I'm not 100% sure on this one here.

(5) delete "upper filters" and "lower in the right window.
(6) right click on my computer in the start menu.
7) click on properties
8) go to the Hardware tab

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
New CD-ROM/CD-RW, or DVD-ROM, etc., usually never come from the factory with
the parameters of the right stem. Take the device, look at the back, place the jumper pin plastic.
set to slave or master, if possible, install it on another cable IDE, set another pin device
According to the needs. XP will reinstall at startup.
In addition, most of these devices is "firmware" updates, go to his web site from mfg & install it

My CD-ROM/DVD-ROM does not work. It says on the Device Manager "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) ». I want to try these steps I read on the forum:
Can you please try these steps? Be very careful when you edit the registry. If you would please do not delete anything immediately. If you must please the following steps... If upper and lower filters is not in this registry key, simply leave the registry. To resolve this problem, remove the affected filter drivers. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click StartCollapse this includes this image
type regedit in the Search box, and then click regedit in the programs list.
Collapse this includes this imageIf you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Warning There may be many instances of the registry subkey that is mentioned in step 2. You must ensure that you are in the appropriate registry subkey before modifying the UpperFilters and LowerFilters values. To verify that you are in the appropriate registry subkey, make sure that the default data value is the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM and the class data value is CDROM.
- In the pane, click UpperFilters, and then click Remove.
- Click Yes to confirm the deletion of the UpperFilters registry entry.
- In the pane, click LowerFilters, and then click Remove.
- Click Yes to confirm the deletion of the LowerFilters registry entry.
- Exit the registry editor and restart the computer.
If you please you would follow with me as best as possible, I'd be very happy.
Thank you

DVD-CD ROM DRIVE SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING
My DVD - CD rom suddenly stopped working. It does not appear on my computer. In Device Manager, it shows the exclamation point in a yellow triangle and has the following: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). I tried updating the driver, and he said that the best updated driver is already installed. But it won't work. When I put a disc in, the green light as it tries to work, but nothing. In the properties in Device Manager, he suggested looking for a microsoft solution and I did it and there is no solutions. Help, please! I have install all the recommended and important updates, I have this game automatically. I have Vista service pack 2. Apart from this, the computer works fine. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.
Hello
Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.
Do this - control panel - Device Manager 1 - click double-click on the drive - CD/DVD
Driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the drivers of certification). Now LAW
Click on - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
them before.A MR FIXIT

How can I fix an error code 10 with my dvd/cd rom drive?
Hello
I have vista a window and my dvd rom drive has an error 10 code on it. He has demonstrated since the end of August and I'm not sure how to get rid or correct the problem. I was wondering if I did system restore to the day before where the error showed that would work? Although I don't know how to that date on the restoration of the system, I thought I'd ask. I have a hp pavilion dv9000 and I tried to delete the upperfilter thing and even used Microsoft solve this quiet a few times and nothing has worked, and since I downloaded Service Pack 2 a week ago he would keep trying to disappear and reappear in my device manager. So if there is anyway you can help please let me know!
Thank you

MY DVD - RW DVR-112D ATA DEVICE IS ONLY PLAYBACK DVD VIDEO (EX MOVIES). BUT NOT READ ANY OTHER TYPE (E.G. SOFTWARE). Everytime I put a dvd movie it plays automatically, but any other type of cd it will say insert disk. One has had this problem?
Hello
You have disk problem as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (burn CD & DVD and CD and DVD read).
Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.Several good info here:
http://Club.myce.com/Notes on the troubleshooting and repair of readers of compact disks and CD-ROM Drives
http://www.repairfaq.org/repair/F_cdfaq7.html#CDFAQ_014----------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 1: Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
solves the problem.Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.
Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

My CD drive disappeared. I ran the Microsoft Fix It tool, and he said he solved the problem, but he also says that the software device driver has not been installed successfully.
The Fix - It tool tried to download the device driver, but it says that it failed. Is there anyway that I can get this device driver that I am able to use my CD-Rom drive again?

Windows 7 when I turn the laptop it says check cable connection pxe - mof: outgoing intel pxe rom no boot device insert boot disk and press any key
Hello
1. What is the brand and model of the laptop?
2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?
Method 1: Change the boot order in the BIOS settings:
See the following steps:
Important: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
(a) start on typing Dungeon either F1, F2, F10, Esc, or DEL to enter the BIOS Setup.
Warning: some manufacturers use F10 for recovery of the system.
(b) glance to "Drive Configuration", "Boot order" or similar
(c) check the second drive the first boot device CD/DVD and hard drive.
(d) to save the settings and exit.
Method 2:
Step 1: Trying to boot into safe mode and see if that helps.
Start your computer in safe mode:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
If step 1 work, try step 2
Step 2: A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: when you're done to diagnose, follow step 7 in the article to start on normal startup.
