E4200 closed NAT Xbox

Hi, I tried to get NAT open on my xbox for months. I followed several guides and tutorials (portfoward.com, youtube.com, this site), but no matter what I do, I can't get an open NAT.

When I directly connect my modem, I get an open NAT, it's just this router.

Here's what I did. I have NAT enabled under advanced routing, UPnP is enabled, I have passed, single-port range of ports, and triggered port: 3074, 88, 1863 and 53. In every possible combination/solo. I tried DMZ my router, but it don't not gave me results. Any help would be greatly appreicated!

Add: I have a 4300 sagemcom with windstream modem as my ISP

Follow these instructions to put your modem in Bridge mode.

https://Windstream.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/467/~/bridging-Gigaset%2Fsagem-4300-modem

Then reset factory default E4200 and follow these instructions to configure your E4200:

http://www6.nohold.NET/Cisco2/UKP.aspx?VW=1&articleid=3687

You will probably need to manually set your mtu to 1492.  You will also need to know the username and password of your DSL as the E4200 account will make the PPPoe.

Optional:

Simple port forwarding.  88 UDP and TCP/UDP (the two) 3074 you can even not need port forwarding if UPnP works for you.

Don't mess with port 80 and port 53 or you will have problems of the internet.

  • Linksys E3000 NAT open Xbox Live settings

    Hi all

    I recently upgraded my the WRT160n V3 to the E3000 router. I had the port to the front of my old 160n to get my game Xbox Live NAT settings to OPEN.  When I switched on the router for the new E3000, my Xbox Live settings are returned to the Medium (medium). I assumed that this would have happened since this is a new installation/router.

    Can someone help me configure my E3000 and Xbox Live so I can have my open NAT settings?  I only need to configure the Xbox 1. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

    The previous is large enough and generally useless for the configuration of the E3000 to facilitate capacity NAT open xbox live connections. 1 make sure you have a static IP assignment for the xbox an assignment of dhcp for the mac address of the xbox in creating or statically assigning an ip address to the xbox outside the dhcp scope, you set but on the same network / subnet of course. then go to the tab under applications and games and the prior port 3074, single port forwarding, both internal and external, to the IP address of your xbox. Name the rule openNAT or something that you will recognize. put a cheeck in the box to enable the rule and click on save settings to activate. Your xbox should now work without complaint about the need for open NAT xbox live test and gameplay should work just fine.

  • Static external IP addresses

    I am a current user of Lab Manager and plans to move to vCloud Director 5.1.

    In the laboratory Manager, VMS receive an address external IP assigned from a pool of addresses using NAT closed would be the option.  The big complaint is how the external IP address would change whenever the virtual machines have been cancelled and redeployed.

    In the latest version of vCloud Director, I guess that there is a similar option for closed NAT would be networking on virtual machines.

    Can someone comment on whether or not the external IP adddresses change each time that virtual machines are on/off voltage and/or canceled/redeployed?

    Any info would be much appreciated.   Thank you.

    You can imitate NAT had Lab Manager functionality by creating an internal network of vApp and then connect it to your external network within the organization.  If you have a Pool of IP configured for this network and choose this catalogue on your VM is in your TIME it will work as did Lab Manager.

    When you create the connection to the external network within your TIME you decide if you want would NAT and/or firewall had.  You can also see a box on the far-right to force it to keep the IP addresses on the external network IP Pool.

    The downside is if the config is cloned IP addresses to go with it.  You will only be able to start a paralytic at once unless you change the networking on the cloned VAPP.  We do this for some test/development vApps long-term where we create a different network ACL in order to connect to it.

    Eric

  • Add the network connection of the Organization to all VMS in TIME

    I am tying to create workaround for the vCD.  When you deploy a VAPP model from a catalogue published in a different organization of the network of the organization does not automatically connect to the virtual machine if the VAPP model had its captured network settings.  Currently, this happens for us within Lab Manager and not in vCD.  Also, we must seize the networking that we use a closed/NAT model and it's too complex have our users configuration whenever they deploy a configuration.

    I don't know if it's the right way to go with this yet, but until VMware comes back to us, we will test this route.

    I have a workflow to get all of the virtual machine within a paralytic and problems by pulling their network settings.  If I can get that I can draw the organizational network for the organization that the vApp is in course and then assign it to each virtual machine.

    I don't know how we can use this, but I think we will make deployments of vCO instead of vCD or AMQP allows to listen to new deployments in the vCD and then the kickoff of this workflow to fix the vApps.

    If you wonder why we need this, we're a large store of LM and the 500 running the vApps by organization limit forces us to have more than one organization.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Eric

    For a virtual machine to connect to a network, create a new workflow with a scriptable in task...

    Flow of work/Scriptable task entries:

    nicNumber (number)

    ipMode (String - must be MANUAL, POOL or DHCP)

    newIpAddress (String - only required if ipMode == MANUAL)

    Network (vCloud:OrgNetwork)

    VM (vCloud:VM)

    Output of the scriptable job:

    task (vCloud:Task)

    Script box: (I have a bunch of entries System.log under logging/troubleshooting - feel free to comment each line starting with System.log)

    vm.updateInternalState (); Update the current information...
    var networkConnectionSection = vm.getNetworkConnectionSection ();
    System.log ("Info:" + networkConnectionSection.info.msgid + "(" + networkConnectionSection.info.value+") '");
    System.log ("required:" + networkConnectionSection.required);
    System.log ("PrimaryNetworkConnectionIndex:" + networkConnectionSection.primaryNetworkConnectionIndex);
    var connection = networkConnectionSection.networkConnection;
    for each {(var connection in connections)
    If (connection.networkConnectionIndex == nicNumber) {}
    System.log ("NIC Match found...");
    System.log ("IP address:" + connection.ipAddress);
    System.log ("Current Mode IP:" + connection.ipAddressAllocationMode);
    System.log ("Connected:" + connection.isConnected);
    System.log ("mac:" + connection.macAddress);
    System.log ("current network:" + connection.network);
    System.log ("networkConnectionIndex:" + connection.networkConnectionIndex);
    Our changes here, the ipAddress property is only applicable if ipMode is MANUAL
    connection.ipAddressAllocationMode = ipMode;
    If (ipMode == 'MANUAL') {}
    connection.ipAddress = newIpAddress;
    }
    Connection.Network = network.name;
    connection.isConnected = true;
    }
    }
    Now apply the changes
    var task = vm.updateSection (networkConnectionSection);

    End of script task code

    Make sure you link all your variables and it may be a good idea to bind the attribute 'task' actionable 'VclWaitTaskEnd' before proceeding to other operations

  • Bandwidth optimized for XBox w/E4200

    Normally I have any problems with my Xbox cable to my E4200.

    It would not be a problem, but the woman seems to realize that I said problem, while it is fair to use it whenever I'm on.

    I tried to give my priority 'High' XBox with the QoS feature, but that did not help at all.

    I'm lost when it comes to Port Forwarding or Port Range Forwarding.  These would be the best options for my problem?

    Other divorce, is there something I can do to optimize my bandwidth XBox?

    Thanks in advance.

    Try the following steps:

    [A] with the help of the Cisco Connect software (if at all, you have installed the router using this software)

    1] open the software and go to the option that says "settings of the router.

    [2] then click on the option that says 'Advanced settings', which will take you to the router configuration page.

    [3] lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) of 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on the main page / basic configuration of your router). Here is the link to determine and implement the right size MTU: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=fbf8e8564632422eaa8ea80bf9dcba64_386.xml&pid=80&re...

    [B] If you have not installed Cisco connect then you can connect to the router's user interface using its default IP address in the browser which is 192.168.1.1 and enter "admin" as password empty username field. This will take to the web interface of the router and then follow the steps as indicated above to make the changes.

  • Tried everything - everything still lost. Open NAT but cannot connect to some people on Xbox Live.

    Title says it all really, really.

    Strange thing is that it happened out of nowhere. In November/December of last year we were all playing fine. In January, my NAT went from open to strict, so I opened it back up quickly. Out of the blue I can't seem to connect with the two people I actually want to play with, and I'm the only one that they could not connect with either, so it must be on my end, I guess. We can play together if there is someone else in our lobby or part, and we have both to join them.

    I tried everything under the Sun I could find, DMZ, disable the SPI, Portforward, etc, and none have set this little problem, although my NAT is open.

    Things I've found strange:

    • Port forwarding, in one of three ways does not work with UPNP turned on or turned off, although off-series me bare back.
    • Giving my Xbox a static IP given strict, however the auto assign gives open continuously.
    • My ports are never truly open from the test.

    I already put things:

    • Reserved IP which now auto-assigns itself to the last manual IP I tried the Xbox and continues to open, as well as the MAC address in the DHCP.
    • I tried following portforward.com and set up my computer to a static IP address and then set my ports. List them all yet closed the port checker sites, as well as the software to portforward.

    Setting up:

    • Xbox (reserved, automatic IP assigned by Xbox) > WGA600N Wireless Gaming Adapter > E3000 router (Firmware upwards so far as I can tell from the site)

    I hope someone can find a solution here, because I'm completely puzzled. I know there are a lot of topics similar to this but it seems everyone is a custom case and not answers to the problems of the other. Thank you all for any idea that you can provide.

  • NETGEAR AC1900 R7000 several Xbox those open NAT Type

    Hi all

    What is the best solution for those multiple Xbox on the same network. I have two Xbox.

    My question - get an open NAT Type on both those of Xbox. Both systems have a NAT open but not for multiplayer games. More specifically, black ops 3. I have UPnP turned on, but my black ops 3 nat type is moderate. When you look at the list of UPnP, I see a port for Xbox Live service in the list as 3074, but black ops 3 requires the port UDP 3075. At the same time, 3075 UDP has been registered for one of my Xbox and now it is no longer the case. So, what I have to do is setup port forwarding and add only my IP address of the Xbox as a personalized service with the port UDP 3075 and it works. That's fine and all, but my IP address for my Xbox (both) will not change from time to time. I thought UPnP would take care of this for me.

    How should I handle this so that both those Xbox use the port UDP 3075 and I don't have to worry any change my IP? Or need to be updated for my router to Negear as Black Ops is no longer using port 3074 Xbox Live?

    I'm on the last update of the firmware as of today (November 9, 2015) of V1.0.4.30_1.1.67. Yet once, I thought active UPnP would solve my problems with Xbox runing both on the same network.

    Your ideas/suggestions are appreciated! Thank you for your time and help in advance!

    p.s. I want to summarize... I have a NAT open for two small Xbox (if I go to the Xbox a settings/network settings tab), but I'll get one Xbox, one with an open NAT and the other with a NAT moderate when you play multiplayer on black ops 3. Treyarch said they use is no longer the same port as Xbox Live, now they use port 3075.

    Hope this makes sense... Please let me know if you need more information or have any questions.

    You can keep changing IP addresses using the address book. Log in to the R7000. Go in ADVANCED > Setup > LAN Setup. Inside will be the address reservation section. Add two entries to your Xbox.

    Yes, that's all. So, your ISP is NATing your traffic. Your situation is similar to the guy with the WiMAX. I went and found this thread.

    This guy had to call his ISP and ended up paying for an address public IP NAT problems. You will need to contact your ISP and either ask a public IP address, or ask them how to configure their gateway port forwarding. Read the other thread.

    You have a few options.

    1. use the bridge instead of router

    2. Requests Comcast to allow you to use a residential modem instead of the SMC.

    3. use the DMZ to set the router on the gateway firewall.

    4. my personal favorite, ask ComcastLarry to set the bridge mode bridge for you so that the E2000 works as the router. For this option, look at the 37th post

  • Open with a Xbox NAT problems.

    When I got my 1900ac I used Media Priortization to get NAT open for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on my Xbox One. prioritize the Xbox. It worked fine for about 6 months until what I changed my operator of cable/net of Nextech in Ks. This company uses the 1900ac to connect its system to all it's customers (since I already had one they use mine). Unfortunately, I am unable to get an open NAT in this game I tried almost everything, NAT forwarding, triggering, prioritization of the media. Support of NexTech & Xbox Live support, useless. I tried Portforward. com, nothing. Redirect port 53 breaks the connection to the network & making the static ip address change for Xbox has not helped. Almost everything I looked at seem obsolete & I am at my wits end. It would seem by now Linksys should have available solutions, any ideas?

    Chin_pamz13 thank you very much for your answer. I tried to check if my modem had a public or private ip address, but I don't know how to do this; I read on double NAT elsewhere. Nevertheless, I think I finally found a solution that seems to work so far. I went to the website "tech - recipes.» com "& found an article, 'Xbox one open NAT' by Aaron St. Clair.» I tried his first suggestion regarding the port of release, with additional ports I had'nt seen before. Who has not worked for me so I followed his instructions to the Xbox in the demilitarized zone & it works! I think that my problems from before were the result of bad to configure the static ip address for my router & Xbox. The previous instructions had me change the ip in the console with the router. Aaron said does not do in the Xbox, leave the router to do the work, it's supposed to do & make sure the console settings are on automatic. In the router in the DMZ, I was'nt sure how to proceed, but at the bottom is a section called list of reservations DHCP; clicked on this, XboxOne saw, clicked on that & he filled the top for me MAC address. Then I went to network settings Xbox, advanced & clicked settings on "automatic" to the ip address, subnet and DNS. I checked the connections mutiplayer, toured "hold bumper & trigger buttons" & finally got a NAT open; pulled up to cod Advanced Warfare & also got open NAT it. I could have screwed up when I did the port triggering, but given the difficulty of the DMZ seems to work I'll let things alone. Hope this helps anyone else having problems NAT open.

  • WRT160N - V3 Xbox NAT strict issue

    Xbox 360 NAT issues resolved! (WRT160N v3).

    I followed the instructions in the link above, but also at least 20 other posts, but I always get strict NAT with a unique XBOX.  I think I tried all combinations and I can't understand why my situation is somewhat different.

    Question - when I go to the STATUS, under the 'Internet connection', "IP address" tab, I see 192.168.1.64 (internal address).  I read somewhere that in other words, there is an another NAT also beyond my router. What is the problem?

    This problem started when I replaced my (default) combination modem/DSL router by an old 2Wire-Homeportal-1000 s, with a brand new Motorola model 2210-02-1022 (modem only) of the AT & T store and combined with a WRT160N V3.

    I tried all combinations of UPnP enabled, redirection port, serial port triggering and DMZ range.  I used a DHCP reservation to affect my Xbox a static IP address and checked that works very well.  But even in the DMZ with UPnP off, I get strict NAT.

    I think I have to empty the Motorola + 160N and buy the current combo modem/router 2Wire AT & T, but I do not do that when I don't know for sure there will be more.

    Others seem to have great success get this cleared up.  Can someone shed light on why none of these techniques work for me?

    Thank you

    I want to thank you because after endless hours trying to remove the XBOX 360 strict NAT son - your advice finally put me on the right track.

    With my particular combination: AT & T DSL, modem Motorola + WRT160N-3 - Bridge mode did not work.  As soon as I put the modem in Bridge mode, the light of the Internet on the front does not to come.  Maybe, if I called AT & T I could find a way around it.  This setting seems to affect the PPOe connection to the router instead of the modem, but some PPOe setting I use (including by providing the user ID and password, etc.) brings me an Internet connection.

    What worked was in the modem settings.  There was no obvious parameter to enable/disable NAT, instead, it reads: "Let device LAN share Internet address?   Choice: "No, use the private IP address", "Yes, use the public IP address.  This is the power switch modem NAT and it must be set to Yes (default is NOT which is what created the 2nd NAT).

    Even in non bridged mode, with the removed modem NAT, the NAT router and other work now setting.  I could put the Xbox successfully in in the demilitarized zone.  The idea is, in the STATE of the router tab, you see now a public IP address instead of the internal address of the modem.

    WOW that was difficult and time consuming to get to this point!

  • WRT1900AC NAT OPEN Xbox problems.

    I dove in the forums for days looking for a solution, but I can't get my Xbox to have an open NAT. I booked the IP address, port, and made sure that UPnP is enabled. What Miss me? NOTE (I did not open port 53, which causes only the router lose access to the internet for some strange reason.) Help, please!

    I think that it is a private IP address. Anything on a 192, 172 or 10 is a private IP address.  You need a public IP address which is #. ##. ###. ###

    Link >http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm and http://computer.howstuffworks.com/nat.htm

    I recommend you ask at the service of the ISP and ask questions to get a public IP address of the router in order to obtain if possible OPEN NAT.

  • NAT on XBOX 360 with WRT150N problems

    Hey guys,.

    For some reason, we had some problems with our NAT type for our xbox. We have a good (green) connection, but the NAT type always appears as "moderate." Right now, we use the (configured for the xbox) standard wireless card to connect to our router (WRT150N).

    I tried power cycling, manually enter the IP address, mask and gateway, but nothing has worked... any suggestions?

    Generally a moderate NAT problem is due to two devices on a network running NAT.  Your router is probably related to the ISP device providing NAT service.  East - similar to the configuration of your network?

    To remedy this, you can put your modem in Bridge mode device, which will require a little research according to the make and model.

    An easier way to get around this problem is to configure your network so that your router runs only as a switch.  You will need to attach the modem to the router's LAN port and keep the unused WAN port and turn off DHCP on the router.

    If you have already taken steps to eliminate any other NAT device, you can view more details about your ISP, networking and other components and maybe get a little more help.
