  I just installed a HP Envy4500 printer, and that works perfectly. Today, the experiences have begun and we tried to print from our iPhone and iPad. The connection was no problem and it printed instantly, but was cheating the page orientation.

  How do I change the orientation (and probably the color) of the iPhone please? Not a lot of sense if you must go to the printer to change these settings on the screen?

  For more flexibility in terms of selection/board of media, orientation, scale etc, please download the HP e-Print app on the app store and use it to print wireless.

  Problem was new printer, new black cartridge but cartridge did not work! Installed another and all = ok.

• Do the "keys" on each side of the Envy4500 lights when the printer is turned on?

  I just bought two new Envy4500s and at the same time on them, the "key (i.e. up/down, 'ok', etc.) on each side of the display screen does not light up when the printer is turned on."  HP rep said they should, but on any machine they light up. Thus, all "keys" are essentially impossible to see. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  I see that you are curious about the screen of the HP ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one printer.  I would like to help.

  The arrow keys do not light up when the printer is on, but as you can see when you look at your own models, they are clearly identified.

• ENVY4500: UP/DOWN, ISSUE OF HOME LIGHTING, BACK, ETC.

  I just got TWO printers Envy4500 where the up/down, home, back, question mark, keys etc. DO NOT LIGHT. I got HP pull together and may not understand what is happening. Also I got contradictory answers as to if / when these keys should BE lit.

  Seems to me that if you do not see the keys when they are not lit, they should be on permanently.

  Can anyone confirm that these keys should be lit PERMANENTLY?

  I can answer you on the lighting of the screen on the 4500 desire.

  You can see in these YouTube videos, that the only thing that comes on is the display screen itself. The buttons on the outside framing do not light.

  I jumped through all the hoops of tech and there seems to be no perfect solution to this problem. However, can I change my settings wireless direct on with security on without security on Off, and at any time, I am doing this, work in Quebec will begin. But I have to do it almost everytime I have print something. I need to scan from my remote IO. Let me know if HP has a better solution. Obviously, the computer is not properly talk to the printer. I started having this problem after Windows 10, but yet curiously, so I don't think it's a matter of Windows.

  Thank you for using the HP Forums.

  You can try this:

  Creating a TCP IP port
  
  1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
  2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
  3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
  4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

  Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

  My HPENVY4500 is connected to Windows 10 PC by USB. I can print but not scan. I downloaded the software. He says he can scan but how you do it. I can print and scan of wirelsss connected PC on the same printer.

  Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.

• HP Envy 4500: ENVY4500 a wifi fall and do not find him

  Great printer... but falls the wifi router.

  Had previously connected well what configuration. Works for a few weeks and then abandons the connection and during a installation - there is no sign of my available network router.

  Settings running through the 'app'-, it just says: it does not find the printer (obviously because it is not on the network)

  If connecting via USB then it works. But I don't want to connect with a USB key!

  Note - This has happened but I actually reset my modem to factory settings and it reconnected to the new 'network settings' but it is NOT convenient to continue to do.

  Uninstall the printer via the control panel and then reinstall the driver software of media supported by the manufacturer.

  What program you scan from, it's HP or Apple Scan scanning and when you save the file, you have the opportunity to appoint?

• envy4500: envy4500 print and Scan Doctor 4.9 has stopped working

  The deleted files on laptop for free space, must have deleted something important, like the printer does not work well.

  Tried to uninstall the software and then remove device.   Inserted the CD, then reinstalled.  I can print with USB cable.

  Print and scan doctor 4.9 ceases to work, so have difficulties to find what the problem is.   Any suggestions?

  I ended up uninstalling programs printer, restart, then deleted the printer device, restart, then goes on HP site and download software and implementation.

  Always impossible to use printing and scanning doctor. Same message as it closes. Hope that I won't need it. Don't know what the problem is with the diagnosis. Will retain the option of restoration in mind.

  I can print with USB and wireless, so I guess I'm ok now.

• Envy4500: Want 4500: Printjob stuck on Galaxy Tab

  Last week I printed part of a big pdf file of my Galaxy Tab my urge to 4500.  The finishing work perfect. But since then, I get an error on my tab, saying: "error file pdf Printer". I can't delete this message.

  I tried to:

  1 Restart tab

  2 clean caches of "HP print serviceplugin" and "Samsung service-plug-in print."

  3. these two apps to stop and restart

  4. turn printer market

  Nothing helps. The message keeps appearing.

  When I touch and hold the message and choose "App info" I access the spooler. I Cleard thar cache too and even stopped it. The message disappears. But after a reboot, the message reappears.

  So, how can I get rid of this message?

  I found the solution myself, I think.

  On my label, I scrolled to the bottom of the screen of your messages (I hope I say it's good, you know, when you collpart down when you're at the top of the screen). Always, I saw the error, that I could not get rid. I support on this error. I chose 'Open App' which brought me in the spooler. I chose "delete data".

  The next print job, my printer was not present in the Google Print menu settings. I could search for printers, so I did. It is my desire, I chose him and my job was printed. And finally, without error!

• HP ENVY4500 & want 5530: wired connections

  It seems that I need to replace my Photosmart7762 (too bad, it has served me well) and is considering one or the other of above (4500 ENVY OR JEALOUSY 5530) but as my regular wireless system fails I want to connect through a USB cable. They are both announced as a Wi - Fi connection, but I have to use the USB connection.

  I want to be able to Scan and e-mail directly from the 4500 envy. I went to the scan to email app saying printable and it's my app is not supported on my printer. Help!
