EoS/EoL SCE 8000

Hi guys,.

What product Cisco will replace the CPE 8000? I have a client who control traffic by application in the frontier of the internet using these boxes and want to replace them. The ASR1K with STROKE would be a good choice?

Thank you.

Paulo Jr.

HI Paulo,

I could test the STROKE software and it does not come even close to granularity of information that makes the CPE. Unfortunately, it seems that the STROKE cannot be used in large environments because of this reason.

RIP

Recently, I saw the announcement of EOL EOS 15305 15310 and I sow substitutes. That Cisco has plans to develop new platforms to access?

    Hello Sir,

the product belongs to the primitive stages, so I don't think we can reveal.

    will be available around mid-2014.

If a customer is interested, we can have the team account to chat with business unit.

  • End of sale (EoS) / end of life (EoL) information on Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP

I have a question about the EoL (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collaboration-endpoints/eos-eol-po...) policy and the announcement of EoS/EoL Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints...).

According to the policy of the EoL, paragraph 4 ter, "after the first year and for the operating system SW - if available - we will offer bug fixes, versions of maintenance, workarounds or patches for a period of 4 years for operating system software."  Therefore, it is 5 years after the Date of the EoS, which could make the OS support close on 28/02/2017 EoL products.  I'm one to believe that a product and its applicable operating system are good as long as the company provides patches for bugs/flaws.

My question is about the migration of the product suggestions.  The suggestion is to "migrate to the Cisco EX Series (the EX60 or solution EX90) telepresence system."  However, when the announcement of EoS/EoL EX60 inspection, the "SW maintenance communicated End Date of: HW, SW OS ' 06 07, 2016.  Note that it is not the end of Maintenance SW verbiage in 1700 MXP EoS/EoL announcement.  I'm under the assumption that the new product within OS support only one model exceeded?  Why anyone would follow the suggested migration if I get fewer months support OS than an older model?  Should I go out of date on the announcement of the EoS/EoL, or use the 5-year rule as shown in the end of life policy.

If I am interpreting this wrong, please do not hesitate to correct me.  I am trying to understand the explicit verbiage in the end of life and ads EoS/EoL policy.

As the 1700 MXP announcement was published in 2011, at that time, the EX60/90 was a legitimate substitute. However years later, endpoints EX Series are now EOS, you should look at alternatives for the EX series instead.

The announcement of the EOS/EOL indicates a date of end of software support, you should go there. The reason that ad 1700 MXP does not list one could be that the date of assumption of the software had already spent or they simply don't have the list at the time. Looking at the latest version of the software for the 1700 MXP, it's F9.3.3 in 2014, I highly doubt, there will be another, but you never know given that other points of MXP endpoints that are not past their published end date of software support.

  • EoS the MFELX1

    Hello

The SFP MFELX1 will be EoS in May.

The replacement is the MGBLX1. It's on fiber gigabit single-mode and not 100 Mbps FX on multimode fiber.

Do you need a way of packaging of cable to work?

GLC-FE-100-FX = is supported of the SMB switches?

The MFELX1 supports 100BASE-FX on up to 2 km.

    Please refer to the EoS:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/small-business-stackable-managed-switches/EOS-EOL-notice-C51-736791.html

    Thank you!

GLC-FE-100FX should work.  We have tested other GLC modules in small business switches and not had any problems with them.  That said, you should still be able to order the MFELX1.

  • Backup of configuration Cisco Codec C40

    Dear all,

Can I know how to take backup of the configuration of the Cisco Codec C40, please?

And also help me with the document of the administrator?

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Syed

You can simply copy the output of the xConfiguration and paste it into the SSH client.  You may need to change the output a bit to get the correct formatting, however.  For example, the output registered since my SHH client contains a preceding * c which must be removed before that I can stick again in the SSH client:

    *c xConfiguration Video Wallpaper: Waves
When you perform a software update, codec configuration, including the keys installed option is not affected and will remain in the process. Keys options include Premium (PR), double (DD) display resolution and Multisite (MS). C40 has been end of sales since June 2015, so it is not possible to order anything for this, see eos-eol-notice-c51-733467. Procedure to upgrade the software codec is on pg 28, the same page mentioned in my previous answer. To upgrade codec software, you will need a release key when switching from one major version to another, as TC5 to TC7. You can request a release of the Cisco Licensing Portal key > obtain other Licenses > telepresence free software key, as long as the device has an active support contract. If you do not have an active support contract, you can contact TAC and get the free unlock key by referencing the Security Advisory cisco-sa-20160504-tpxml, which you can get a key to unlocking TC7.

    Hello

We still have customers existing-DME-10 c, what is the EOS / EOL for this module?

What is the upgrade version of software always accommodating 10-DME-C module?

We have tried to insert a DME - 10 c module to a chassis version 10.1. Although the bos has been able to detect the module, the applications does not work, i.e. FC, FICON, GE.

Greatly appreciate your thoughts in this...

  • Sourcefire DC1000 support?

Cisco continues to support DC devices or clients who already have Defense Center devices need to purchase them trash and go FMC devices?

Also is the same as the Cisco FirePOWER 8130 8130 3? Just different naming?

For most Cisco products, we usually see a document EoL that lists all the EoL, EoS information and what is the upgrade path.

the Sourcefire 3500 3, I found the EoL, information, EoS, but no upgrade path. That we go to?

    Thank you

Defense Center devices continue to be supported until they have individual EoS / EoL announcements - like all other Cisco products. Only the name of the product has changed.

That said, the DC750 and the DC1000 may have slipped through the cracks. There was an EoS DC1500 and DC3500 and the other two products (750 and 1000) no longer appear in the Cisco ordering system. (Although you can always order a new service contract).

I believe that this version of the software 5.4.1.1 is available for older domain controllers.

The 8130 3 is just a rebranding. It's the same product under running the same software.

Upgrade for the Sourcefire 3500 3 would be along the lines of a power of fire Cisco 3 7125 or AMP 7150 (based on the flow rate and the General numbers interfaces). However, your environment should be assessed more closely to make an appropriate recommendation. We would take in required interfaces, current and projected account, features used etc.

  • Cisco ASA 5500 Series end of life

    Hello

I noticed that all 5500 series (5510,5520,5540,5550,5580) ASAs are all end-of-life announced in March 2013. However, I don't see ASA 5505 on the list. Can anyone confirm that 5505 EOL has not announced?

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/security/ASA-5505-Adaptive-Security...

    Thanks in advance

The 5505 is not yet announced EOS/EOL, but the announcement can * t be extreme as 5506-X will be available soon (well, I hope... ;-)).

  • SA540 end of life

    Hello

I tried to give a sense of end of life policy and notifications for the SA540 unit. The "last day of support: HW" is on 30 April 2016. This means that updates of firmware to address security issues will be available until this date, or firmware update have already been arrested?

    Thanks in advance,

    Richard.

Whatever the EOS/EOL announcement, IMO the EOL practice has already taken place. Just look at when the last firmware update was published (December 2012) and then think about what happened in the area of security since then. For example all SSL/TLE-problems in recent years.

It is time to replace these units.

  • TMS - export the settings of extended endpoints?

    Hello

I'm trying to locate two of the following parameters in the TMS and find a way to export for TC series devices.  Unfortunately, I can't find this option in view of the system.

    XStatus systemunit productid
    camera model 1 XStatus

I have nearly 100 end points I want to check this setting on because of the EOS/EOL, and it would be a lot of time if I had to manually go into the settings of each unit extended in navigation system.

We run 14.6 TMS and I don't see this option in MSD 15.1 - so far, I think it is not a way to do it through TMS and it might be be done via the script.  Has anyone else found a way to do this?

You can gather the product information for the codec using TMS, under systems > overview of the system.  In the right column, select the option 'Specific Type Description of the system' under general settings.

The only way to gather information specific to camera are either view extended settings of each managed TMS endpoint, or connect you to each endpoint manually via its web interface or SSH.

  • Failure of poe SG300 - 28 p

    Hello
    I am in possession of a switch SG300 - 28 p
I'm having trouble with poe power access point Netgear WG102
Can you tell me if the two devices are supported?
    Thank you

Hi Luca, looking at the site of Netgear access point is eos/eol

    http://www.NETGEAR.com/business/products/access-points-wireless-controllers/access-points/wg102.aspx#two

He says that the product is no longer available and to look for the WG103.

View product say it's compatible 802.3af

Integrated IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE)

Have you used this front access point? In an environment of production at one point worked with POE? When did you start to use the SX300 switch? Is the SX300 on the latest software? Do you see an indication of the State of the connection of the switch (orange or green light)? The access point works with a power adapter? Do you have any other switch POE try with? You have all different POE switch connect devices that work?

  • Counterpart 24 / SF102 is not available?

    Hello guys,.

I would like to ask if how can we counter offer to the SF102 case - 24 24-port 10/100 is not available.  I tried to watch SF90-24-AS, but it does not come with it 2-port mini-GBIC Combo.

    Thank you

Hey Rey, hope everything is going well.

As far as I know, you would need to look in for the 2 gbic slots gigabit models. Both SR2024T and SR2024CT have 2 GBIC.  If you can't get your hands on a SF102-24, to the best of my knowledge, that would be the alternatives that are not of the EOS/EOL.

  • Abandoning the router IPS Modules?

I attended a training IPS a few weeks back when the instructor stated that Cisco would be giving up the ability to have IPS modules in routers.  Is this the case?

Yes, that's right. The NM - IPS was EOS/EOL announced two months ago, but I think that the AIM - IPS for the ISR - G1 is not yet announced EOS/EOL.

  • SX20 with Smart Board

    Hello

My client is looking for SX20.

They would also like to integrate SX20 with the smart board to display the smart board for remote sites.

My question is, if I do not include the option to dual license, going to work with the Smart Board.

Or is it necessary to have the double display for this particular case.

    Best regards

    Titebiket

    Hi titebiket,

Yes, you can share your screen through SX20 - but you will need to be

    (1) get a telepresence unit SYNCH

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps11653/index.html

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/software/synch/synch_release_note_v4-01.PDF

    Camera EOS/EOL

    (2) download the video switch video/duplicater that splits in two. In the projector cable, one cable at the entrance to the presentation of the codec.  Please note that this is not something that is officially supported by Cisco - so you won't be able to buy the switch/duplicater home.

    (3) you can try to use the SX20 and the dual display option. But I don't know if it will work properly, because I have not tested. However, I tried option 2.

    Thank you
