Future video free Jabber

With the announcement of the Enterprise version of video Jabber Telepresence (Movi), jabber-video-telepresence-movi/eos-eol-notice-c51-732787, what is the future of the free video Jabber beta?  It will continue on, or end up like the business version.

Thank you

I'm registered for free a Jabber account and have my client Movi works well. I am trying to set up my profile 42 C20 Tandberg to connect to the account, but have problems. My SIP profile is configured as follows:

    The default transport: Auto

    DisplayName: SIP profile 1

    Outbound: on

    TlsVerify: Off

    Type: Cisco

    URI: proxy.global.jabber.com

I don't think it would be possible, because free video of Jabber service is supposed to Jabber available video only and not meant for something else.

  • Video 'free' service hosted by Cisco Jabber

Going through different posts in this forum I came to one where someone has mentioned the free video Jabber service hosted by Cisco, which lies on the following link.

    https://www.ciscojabbervideo.com/home

Can someone give an explanation of how it works.

It seems to be a less costly and useful for the small depolyments solution.

"What I had read before, the jabber service free cisco does not support composition, or host names ip addresses. "don't know if this has changed, perhaps, an srv record might be a workaround"

You can call a public IP addresses by calling "[email protected] / * /'." "

  • Don't deleted videos free no space?

My hard drive is nearly full, so the other day I spent hours and hours in Photos (hate the name, by the way - cannot seek help online) removal of videos my kids did... nothing.

No space has been cleared up. ACK!

As I understand it is because that the files actually still live in a directory of iPhotos, in order to remove them from Photos does not remove them - that needs to be done... where, exactly?

Need help please, my hard drive is going to explode soon (2 GB free!)

    Thank you very much!!

    NO.

Videos are on the disk and are hard linked to iPhoto and Photos if they were migrated from iPhoto - so if they were migrated from iPhoto, then do not delete two places - as long as there is a hard link file is not removed from the disc - if you are sure you are finished with iPhoto , then you can check the iPhoto library in case you need it later, and then delete the iPhoto library all

And you must have a min of 10 GB of free space or your system is working properly, we must act now

  • Cannot use video when Jabber is in command mode of fixed phone

    Scenario:

The use of Jabber 9.2.1 to control a Cisco 7945.  I compose a Cisco SX20 by DN video unit, and call connect in audio mode only.

Jabber usually allows for me to start the video after the call connects in audio mode only, but in this scenario, this option is not available.  If I change Jabber to use the device of the CSF, the video works perfectly.

To do this, you need the MSI. Also make sure that the video is enabled on the phone (you will see a camera icon in the lower right).

Please remember useful frequency responses and identify useful or correct answers.

  • Video of Jabber Cisco Telepresence band bandwidth provisioning

    Hello

We have deployed video jabber cisco for telepresence 4.5 with VCS 7.2 and TMS 13.2.2.  We use jabber to take interviews. The candidates will be sent the link to download the jabber with the required authentication settings. The Jabber is configured with the Public Max and minimum bandwidth of 768 Kbps.

My question is related to the downspeed of bandwidth. If we configure the bandwidth of 768 Kbps prvosining and internet bandwidth of candidates is less than 768 Kbps will be the Downspeed VCS to accroding appeal to the bandwidth of the network of candidates.

for example if my internet connection from home is just 512 Kbps and the use of the jabber to make a call to ex90 in my office. Bandwidth settings is preconfigured in the jabber as 768 Kbps. When the call is established will be VCS downspeed the call at 512 Kbps.

    Krishna.

You cannot configure a minimum bandwidth, which is always the maximum bandwidth jabbervideo will use.

The user can only set this value downward but not upward, but as the client detects a loss and stores a database

with information on used networks recently and its quality.

So, should not be a big problem the faster speeds available and allow the customer to do magic.

I woud recommend to (re) read the Jabber_Video_Administrator_Guide

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/MOVI/admin_guide/Jabber_Video_Administrator_Guide_4-5.PDF

This gives you more information concerning automatic bandwidth adaptation and capabilies of bandwidth detection.

  • video authentication Jabber on VCS vs that import of TMS

Hi all! Thanks in advance for the help

I am correct in my reading that can authenticate users video Jabber two different ways? A direct for VCS by configuring the AD on the VCS itself and the other is important users on the TMS itself in the configuration TMSPE tree?

I am running VCS 7.2.1 and 14.3 TMS.

I have a lot of video to users supplied manually Jabber. I want to migrate the entire installation of AD but am not sure about this (which path is best).

I have an extra touch. Due to an unfortunate planning, the manually created current database of users have accounts with the same user ID as long as their current accounts in AD. I don't know if I have to delete these accounts first (a bit) before connection AD on the VCS or TMS.

    Hello Douglas.

Yes, you can authenticate two ways, however, only one method at a time.

When you have set up manual accounts in TMS for the configured users, you can authtenticate using these user accounts/passwords that you created.  Accounts are configured in the TMS and are stored in the local database of the VCS.

Import users from AD in TMS improrts only the information of users (name, usersname, comapany News), it does not matter the passwords.  You need to configure VCS to use the Active Directory Services to join your domain.  When a user tries to connect, they authenticate and then announcement through the VCS.

If you try to do an import of pub in your configuration directory, you need to remove the manual accounts, as import will give an error when it tries to import/create a user who already has a manual account created.  I can't say for sure, but you might be able to leave the manual accounts and run with it in this way, just remember that these particular accounts will not moved or deleted if the structure of your AD changes.

I would recommend that you take a look at the deployment of device Guide authenticate your version of VCS, it can help a lot.

  • Future of 'FREE' software Acrobat reader

    Everyone:

I use Acrobat reader software that came with my scanner Epson V37.  It is connected to an Apple Macbook Pro laptop computer running the "Snow Leopard" operating system.

I use this to create a family history of CD-ROM containing photographs historical, letters, documents and contracts.  Some documents date from 1940 to the present day.

50 to 100 years from now someone will always be able to open and read this information?

Please send employees to Adobe if you know someone at Adobe.

    Thank you

    Ralph

The PDF/A standard is designed to ensure that the files will be opening as far forward as possible, by prohibiting any technology that could be removed or blocked by a seller (encryption systems for example trademarked, video codecs, etc.). The Committee does not guarantee a lifetime of a PDF/A file, but is expected to be at least 50.

It is true that we do not know what material will exist in 50 years, but the public ISO specification defines all that a future programmer would need to know in order to make the file. Adobe didn't need to be involved at all.

CD-ROM engraved, on the other hand, is a terrible choice for archiving. They degrade over time, and there is no guarantee that same 10 years computers will be sold with CD players. It may seem strange, but you are better to store documents in the cloud (in several places), because they will be migrated automatically on the latest technologies of storage as and when they come out. The Internet cannot House you can burn.

  • Video of Jabber: Push SIP config out users

    And the next question:

Y at - it a guide which describes the transmitter howto SIP outbound configuration to users?

We subsequently deployed a VCS cluster and many of our users have only a configured VCS.

    Thank you

    Jürgen

Use you MSD - EP at their disposal?

You should be able to establish what follows in the Movi model:

Multiple connections to the server = we

Server address SIP = name of the SRV record for cluster

And then the point SRV record for the hosts of two (or more) of your cluster.

  • TMS Provisioning Extension required for Jabber Video

    All,

I'd check that commissioning Extension is not required for TMS (14.x) allow video exterenal Jabber users to participate in a video conference on a microcontroller.  These will be not registered in VCS video external Jabber users.

    Thank you

    John

I guess video Jabber users will be registered to someone else is VCS or using the free video by Cisco Jabber service?  If so, that Yes, you don't need TMSPE, it is only necessary if YOU are commissioning and providing video Jabber service to others.

  • Integration of Active Directory with telepresence - Jabber video

    Hello

I would like to have a clarification on the integration of commercials with the existing infrastructure of TP.

    We have A VCS - C 8.x, VCS-E 7.2.2 14.3 TMS with TMSPE.

We need to have our video Jabber users using their accounts and authentication of the user accounts existing on AD. All the other codecs authentication will be local VCS - c.

Where can I configure the integration of ads?  The TMS only? VCS - C only? or both?

Any document that clearly explain this configuration?

    Thank you.

If you want to check the credentials on the control and Jabber clients video to send their requests for authentication to control VCS, where you have the setup of ADS, you must configure the default and traversal zones to check not the credentials on the highway.

Regarding your comment on authentication to the highway, just to be clear, before the customer can actually create a record on the freeway, do you want to authenticate, meaning the subzone where they will register to check the credentials, if so, ADS a problem here.  As the video Jabber client will always use NTLM to send its credentials when ADS is used, the highway will be presented with the username/password user name field.  As the highway is not connected to the announcement of check these credentials, it will not allow recording.  Authentication of registration requests always happens on the local server, because that's where the record should be.

Zac in the discussion below, covers this very well and how to get around it when using ADS and video recording Jabber to Hwy.

  • Jabber (Internet) video->->->-> Jabber CUCM VCSC VCSE for windows

First of all, I tried Jabber Video (Intranet)->->-> Jabber CUCM VCSC for windows, video and audio are fine, by establishing a SIP trunk between VCSC and CUCM and Zone rule settings and VCSC research.

Secondly, Jabber (Internet) Video-> VCSE-> VCSC-> Video (Intranet) Jabber, audio and video are very well by estalishing TraversalZone between VCSE and VCSC, as well as the search area in VCSE and VCSC rule.

There is an obvious idea comes... Jabber (Internet) video->-> VCSC VCSE-> CUCM-> Jabber for windows.

    I tried by two means:

Option A: I try through Jabber video (Internet)-> VCSE-> TraversalZone-> VCSC-> SIP Trunk-> CUCM-> Jabber for windows, acutally, there isn't any configuration required in VCSE/VCSC/CUCM, because when you dial [email protected] / * /, the VCSE will route the call to the VCSC and then it will move the call to CUCM, but I couldn't get to this subject, the logging of the VCSC He always showed in the message below:

    1. received VCSC VCSE SIP protocol prompt, call [email protected] / * /

2 VCSC answered VCSE SIP 407 Proxy authentication required.

3 VCSE answered the VCSC SIP ACK

I don't know what is the problem here, or additional configuration required, but the call to certainly VCSC already, but I don't know what is the way of the authentication of 407 proxy here... If the Jabber (Internet) Video-> VCSE->-> Video (Intrante) Jabber VCSC, it isn't this 407 proxy authentication in logging.

Option b: I'm going through Jabber video (Internet)-> VCSE-> SIP Trunk-> CUCM-> Jabber for windows, with the rule of necessary research, in this way, when Jabber (internet Video) composition Jabber for windows, it sounds, and when picked up, one way audio (from Jabber for windows to Jabber video) set up, no video.

It is normally an authentication problem. I think that you run a software X7.x on your SPRDD? If so, try to activate "treat as authenticated" on the crossing area 'Authentication policy' (both directions, if it is set to "do not verify the credentials") and see if you get the P - asserted-Identity "authenticated" a header then and make a call from the internet, routed throug the VCS - c to your CUCM.

Are your rules of research on the VCS - c, the value "request must be authenticated = Yes"?

    Hope this helps,

    Arne

  • Directory of video Jabber Cisco Configuration problem

    Hello!

    We have a facility with

VCS 7.2, TMS 13.2.2. and a lot of video of jabber users. TMSPE uses for commissioning and etc., TMS and VCS are configured to import users from the AD:

VCS in AD domain, AD srvices is configured, default Zone is configured as check credentials, sub-area by default is configured as authenticated. MOVI users are configured and imported into TMS of AD - I can see them in the management of the telephone directory, Movi version 4.5, in configuration model [email protected] / * /(asb.by = local to the sip domain) is configured. With movi users group has access and permission to search for the phonebbok. The problem is that when a movi user trying to search another user - failure of the attempt to find: he gets nothing. However it is the contact searcing is connected with movi and appeared in the devices put into service. For example the EX60 ep is configured with directory - it has a full ist of users (contacts) imported from AD and created locallly.

    Hello

Can you check the TMSPE diagnoses in TMS and see if the phone book button are red.

Also check the source directory activity in TMS and see if you see errors.

Make sure that you perform a full synchronization with the TMS of VCS (Configuration tab, click on "Synchronize complete now")

Also on the VCS you can actually check if the entries in the directory exists in the VCS and the users have access to them.

    Status--> Application--> TMSPE--> directories

Let me know if you see errors about directories in MSDS.

    / Magnus
