• Satellite P750 - wireless card does not work

  PSAY3A - 02q 001. Laptop is around the age of 20 months. Turned on this afternoon and the Wireless does not work. Atheros AR9002WB-1NG. Can't b on / off switch material. The switch will beep when pushed. Network troubleshooting indicates the card is not activated. Card is always detected in windows.

  I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L300 (PSLBCE) that came without any operating system and the dirvers. I installed WXP PRO SP2 above and downloaded all the drivers from the Toshiba site. Everything has been installed ok and functional except for the WLAN card. The wireless network card, it is a Realtek RTL8187B but it is not recognized by my laptop: if I Check Device Manager it does not appear (it does appear that "Network controller" with yellow mark). Then I went to Realtek website and download new drivers from there and installed again... also with these dirvers WLAN card still not recognized.

  No idea this coud be the problem? I don't know that I have downloaded the correct dirvers from Toshiba Web site as well as the Realtek site... but none of them helped. The chipset drivers have also been installed and also the last BIOS version (my BIOS version is newer than the one on the site of toshiba with the drivers for this model)
  May this be a conflict with the other dirvers or WXP PRO SP2?

Access your routers webpage bios and go to network security, if possible on your PC to cable and take note of the security settings and compare them with the security of network adapter settings.

  I don t think that there is something wrong with the driver because you can receive signals from router (green bars). If the driver WLan would be a mistake if wouldn t receive all signals.
  Please check device manager. If the wireless card is recognized if you are using the correct driver and the driver has been installed correctly.

  In my view, the message "network cable is disconnected" appears because your (NOT wireless) LAN cable is not connected. This post has nothing to do with the question of Wlan.

The laptop is equipped with led however one is damaged and can not be connected, these cards may work with only one side and I even read somewhere that they can work on a short range with no led. My problem is the Device Manager indicates that the device cannot start code 10. I have a fresh install of XP Pro SP1 (not from the original restore disk).
