Exchange 2007 blackBerry smartphones

Hello!

I love the blackberry "BOLD" 3000. but before buying it: is it possible to sync mail/contacts/todos with ms exchange 2007?

I want to say without installed Blackberry enterprise server... Connect just with the phone (pushmail) like the iphone for the new office on snow leopard has a pleasant Exchange integration.

Thank youe!

but I don't want any carrier involved in my email conversations...

According to the scenario that you have set out, he has no other choice. Without BES, you must use BIS to access their E-mail address internet accounts... and BIS is hosted by each carrier. In addition, even with BES, you are always horse your carrier network such as transport between systems of BES and your BB... so the carrier remains committed. Maybe I wrong once again...

newc0mer wrote:

Unfortunately, as suggested is no alternative for me.

I do not understand this statement... you are saying that they have not internet facing OWA, POP, or anything to associate BIS to?

newc0mer wrote:

If you install a BES in my company. any other costs will I then the OBA of my company data?

"OBA"? Hmmm?

For BES, you must install a complete infrastructure of BES (server, connectors for systems, holes through the firewall and a host of other things that I'm not qualified to discuss the e-mail). Then, you must also have the personnel to support that infrastructure. And you must have good data plan from your carrier to allow BES traffic through their network to your BB. In general, for one, the economy simply don't unfold for the implementation of BES.

  • ActiveSync Exchange of blackBerry Smartphones

The Torch 9800 does support Exchange ActiveSync (EAS)? I can't e-mail to work with the setting they call outlook "Exchange".

The fields do not seem to be the same as what the iPhone instructions call for.

My company supports Blackberry and iPhone. The first with the company's server and the second with EAS. AT & T charges a $30 / additional MB for the company ($30 / mo for 2 years is $ 720). If I can't get EE work, this phone is going back to the store to be replaced by an iPhone4 (for $720 I could buy 3 iPhones and still save $120 over 2 years on a corporate account).

    EAS? No and Yes.

    Not natively

Yes, with astrasync.com and others too.

You have OWA? You can configure the torch to use OWA with BIS.

Perhaps you could ask your IT Department BES Express 5. It's free and uses a BIS dataplan.

  • Since April 2007, blackBerry Smartphones Messages cannot be deleted 8700

    Greetings

I have a BB 8700. A month ago with a value of messages from April 1, 2007 - 1 May 2007 which cannot be deleted. Iused prior delete from the top of the Inbox and everything except messages from the 4/07 has been deleted. Neither the prior deletion not the individual message delete function seems to have no effect on this block of messages.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Addison

    You can go there.

If you have the OS 4.5 on the 8700 (look at the Options > about, third line down, starting with a 'v.4.xxx') you can use the easy method.

If OS 4.2, you will need to follow the instructions of the longest.

It is one of the only two blackberrys in the Agency (and likely to stay at this rate), so BES installation is not an option.  Outlook works fine, we deleted then recreated the Outlook profile and the sync folder in the folder settings for the application - no luck.

Is there something in particular that must be set on the server Exchange to enable the Blackberry communicate with her?  The specific services that should be running?  The Blackberry is replacing a Nokia that synchronized without problems on the same Exchange Server.

Thanks for your responses and suggestions.

Just a small clarification here - there is never any direct communication between a BB and the Exchange Server. All require ducts (BIS/OWA, BES, Desktop Redirector).

  • BlackBerry smartphones, I can't configure BIS with our Exchange accounts

    Hello

my company has an Exchange 2007 SP1 server.

Some of my colleagues have configured your Exchange account on their Blackberry using Blackberry Internet Service, by using the URL of Outlook® Web Access configuration.

Everything was OK until last Monday.

Monday, they received a message requiring to change them on the site of the password of the account of their Exchange BIS and they can not receive or send the email from BB via Exchange account.

I tried to connect to www.mobileemail.vodafone.net for a bis account of BIS of my colleagues on the site of www.mobileemail.vodafone.net : the Exchange results invalid account.

If I try to validate the password for the Exchange account this error is reported: "your password to the email address is invalid. Please try again. »

If I try to modify the Exchange account this error is reported: "an error occurred during validation of the email account. Please check your information and try again.

If I try to set up a new email account using one of our Exchange accounts existing, this error is reported: "a connection could not be established to the server address.  Please check that the server name is correct and that the server is available.

Can you help me to solve this problem?

Exchange certificates could be the reason for this problem?

I renewed the self-signed certificate expired created by Exchange 2007 installation.

OWA does not use https, but that the http protocol.

    Thank you.

    PROBLEM SOLVED

Configuration of the ISS does not require SSL for OWA folder, but SSL is required for the default Web Site.

I removed the request for SSL.

  • BlackBerry smartphones 5 to 15 minutes behind on all emails received via Exchange using BIS.

My 9700 receives an email from my exchange using OWA server, but there is a huge gap in the delivery time. When I had used OWA on my iPhone it is instantaneous and rivaled my Boss BlackBerry running on the company. I'm trying to understand why this delay exists and why reconcile does nothing.

My gmail account which is also configured through BIS works fine, email delivery as they are received.

    Hello!

Some configurations of GMail use push-IMAP/pseudo and can thus have (nearly) instant delivery. OWA is I think strictly traction, which is regulated at 15 minute intervals within BIS. Therefore, it may seem to be WAD - works as expected.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Here are a few things to try:

    • KB03133 How to integrate an e-mail address to Microsoft Outlook Web Access with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
    • KB18567 BlackBerry Internet Service cannot connect to an account, Microsoft Outlook Web Access using Microsoft Exchange 2007 or Microsoft Exchange 2010
    • KB04804 Error message when you try to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2010 account
    • KB02858 Unable to integrate an e-mail address to Microsoft Outlook Web Access with a BlackBerry Internet Service account

In addition, sometimes it's just not possible to configure via the interface for device... and your BIS carrier, from a PC/browser, Web site may be able to do so... here a partial list:

If you can't find your carriers, you would need to ask for the URL of it.

In addition, since your BB browser, you can try this url:

There are some limited circumstances where BIS cannot integrate properly in OWA... but this is usually a mismatch on the server side (for example, ISA) rather than anything else.

You can also ask your network admins to check this:

    • KB11036 Requirements of connection and firewall for the BlackBerry Internet Service

Finally, if something does not work, details will be much more useful... "nothing seems to work" provides us with nothing to diagnose any and so maybe you better frame. Step by step of what you try and exactly how each step results is always more useful. In addition, if the present error messages, the content accurate and full of people is extremely useful.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry not syncing with Gmail

My Blackberry Bold 9900 stopped sync with Gmail. I only synchronize e-mail, contacts, or calendar. I mainly use Gmail site on my PC to read and delete emails. I have more than 70 unread e-mails on my Blackberry that were already deleted from the Gmail Web site. The option 'balance' has no effect. I can receive new Gmail on Blackberry messages, but if I have to 'Mark as read' or 'Clear' an email actions does not sync with the Gmail Web site. The same is true if I 'Mark as read' or 'Delete' an email on Gmail Web site. The actions are not synchronized with the Blackberry. I have 2 Android devices and a Windows Phone that syncs with Gmail without a problem. I just have the problem on my Blackberry.

    My device information:

    BlackBerry Bold 9900

    7.1 bundle 2435 (v7.1.0.862, platform 5.1.0.662)

    Reconciliation of BlackBerry e-mail settings:

    Delete on: mailbox & Pocket

    Wireless reconcile: checked

    On conflicts: mailbox WINS

    Gmail settings:

Inbox, and garbage are included in IMAP feeds

Also, I tried to delete Gmail from Blackberry account. When I did he told me he would remove all Gmail messages from the phone but it moved all the Gmail unread messages in my main mailbox. (I keep Gmail and Exchange separate emails on my Blackberry). It is also impossible to select multiple messages at the same time to remove if they are not in a consecutive order.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • E-Mail messages to skip Exchange 2007 POP3 Simulator

Hi, using either 'e-mail BlackBerry and Services SDM 4.1.2 simulators' or 'email BlackBerry and Services SDM 4.1.4 simulators' my (OS4.2/8100) Simulator is setup and works well in stand-alone mode, against a local perspective, but connected mode is unable to retrieve messages from Exchange 2007 POP3 service.  Newspapers of the ESS include:

    : [34] ::
    : [35] ::

The logs indicate that authentication is working properly.  Why did he would jump new messages, I add to the Inbox?  I saw another link for the same problem that suggests that maybe it's a bug with the ESS and Exchange 2007.  Is it?

    Thank you

I was not able to reproduce this.  No problem, messages received when connecting to an Exchange 2007 server.  Are there other applications, access to the mailbox that can change the State of the message (delete, mark as read, etc...)?

  • BlackBerry smartphones I want my BBM back! BBM contacts switched between two phones I own, my wife and me

Hey, my wife's friends are nice, but I can't be in their discussions... I have 2 bb Torch 9800. For no apparent reason about 3 months ago the bbm contacts exchanged between them without any reason. I've been in contact with my phone provider, and they are perplexed and said that it is a problem of bb... How can I get the bbm is switched back to good phones?

I tried to remove and reinstall applications, same old contacts...

Note: I share the same e-mail address on both phones, this could be and question? When I got the phones of MTS, a few years ago, they said it was very good and quite work very well to the top until there are a couple / few months.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Sharing the same e-mail address is no problem... e-mail systems is generally accessed from multiple customers, and the application of enamel on the BB is just another type of e-mail client.

But, if you meant that you share the same BBID on both devices, then it indeed is probably the cause of the problem. It is inadvisable to associate a BBID to more than a SmartPhone BB. Strange things can happen, including the tangle of BBM contacts, as has happened to you.

Since BBM7, BBM contacts are not stored on the device itself... on the contrary, they are stored "in the cloud" with the BBID. Before BBM7 (indeed, "a couple of years"), the BBM contacts were stored on the device itself and therefore would not mingle if a BBID has been shared between several BB devices.

Here's what you need to do:

    1. Decide which of the two devices will retain the existing BBID
    2. Manually clean the BBM contacts to reflect only what desires this device
    3. On the other BB, you need to prepare by making a full backup of the device, because the "fix" will wipe
      • See the link in my sig auto on this post for instructions to complete backup
    4. Once you have this backup, you should separate this another BB the BBID existing and create a new brand for the single device
      • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet
    5. Once this is done, you can switch to manually re-create all BBM contacts on the 2nd device (no, there is no way to automate this process for you)

    Good luck!
