It has Windows 7 with an Intel Dual core processor T4400 with 4 GB of RAM. I can remove the hard drive from the laptop with a broken screen and put it in the new book recover tofactory conditon and replace in the original specifications? Thanks in advance Fred

Thanks fot help Mumbodog.

I found that - CTO is custom order is not the card online

I could get the computer provided the factory. Fortunately I had an about four inches of screen on the right side of the built-in screen. I could open the HP Recovery Manager, and then drag the screen where I was able to make the appropriate selections.

I have a keyboard and wireless mouse and hung the laptop to a TV flat screen 42 inch.

Thanks again

  • Pavilion G7-1368dx: the factory recovery failed

A few weeks ago, Windows Update downloaded 10 Windows on my laptop. I tried a few days and decided I didn't like it so I uninstalled and reinstalled Windows 7 on my laptop. I lost the hp Recovery Manager, and by some people on this forum, I ordered the hp dvd recovery. I received the DVD and saved all my personal information. Then following the hp instructions that I started on the DVD and the recovery driver and application of discs. Records downloaded and after installation it says "failed to retrieve from the factory. So I retried 3 times with the same results. I searched the site of hp and found my problem and he said that you must have the wireless switch, but I tried and there is now nothing when I hit the button wireless. I am in desperate need. How can I fix it?

In fact, I realized that I was wrong to installation with the hp factory recovery disks. If your laptop has wifi the you must have the WiFi button before using the HP factory recovery disks, otherwise it will fail by the Service the customer of HP. Thanks for your help.

  • X100e factory recovery from USB

I have just had a X100e and tried to create a factory recovery disks. He gave me the choice to use a USB key that I had plugged. I chose who, and it is passed through stages that said he was reformatting the drive, write the startup commands and write the other stuff. In the end, I have a stick with more than 5G of things on it, very much resembling a full backup of the collection material. However, it does not start. Try to boot from this stick says he has no operating system installed.

This is the first time I tried this generation of drive recovery factor for a ThinkPad with anything other than the CDRs. I can't try again, you get only one shot. Can someone tell me what is the problem?

  • Re: Satellite A300 cannot start, cannot use the factory recovery

Hi all, I have a Satellite A300, which gave me problems in the past few weeks...

    I use Windows Vista

There are about 2 months in the beginning of the laptop problem, it restarts itself automatically before enter in windows (while in the windows loading screen, no blue screen, screen just suddenly darkens and restarts itself), but it will get finally in windows successfully after a few loops

but about 3 weeks ago, it just keeps looping and never get into windows, good news, it is that it can capture mode safe without problem

I've done everything I can to try and save, as play with msconfig, drivers, removing the Rams etc, but not luck

so, I save everything in safe mode and decided to restore the machine factory, but the problem is that when I boot up the computer by pressing 0 and enters the recovery screen, reboot loop will happen!

any idea? or y at - it another way to restore to factory without touching the windows installed in my laptop? is it a hardware problem or software?

I thought about the creation of recovery disks but my cd drive is not working properly, and I don't want to take the risk of buying an external cd drive not knowing not if the problem can be solved...

    Thank you very much!

    >.. .i don't want to take the risk of buying an external cd drive not knowing not if the problem can be solved...
That of right, but you must understand that it is not easy on this virtual path to offer an accurate explanation and diagnosis for your problem.

It is not easy to tell whether it is hardware or software related issue. best way to test is installation of recovery image. Recovery image is tested and if there are no some portable hardware problem should work fine. How to install the recovery image, which you can read on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

    >.. .or is there another way to restore to factory without touching the windows installed in my laptop?
Something like this is not possible. Windows that you use now needs to be reinstalled. I don't know why you the laptop restarts, but it's also the risk of recovery image installation. In case this recovery image installation will be interrupted, you will have two problems:
-image of original recovery saved on your HARD drive will be unusable
-you will not be able to start t

In your situation the best is to minimize this risk and have original recovery DVD that can be used if something goes wrong.
    > but the problem is that when I boot up the computer by pressing 0 and enters the recovery screen, reboot loop will happen!
Can you please explain what is exactly happening? Is - this laptop is simply cut off / go to the coast and then reboot again or what?

+ Fabrieksherstel kan niet worden uitgevoerd. Een vereiste stationspartitie Land. +

+ Resumption of the factory does not work. A required partition of a station is missing. +

Can someone help me what to do please?

You said that you have inserted Win 8 DVD to do a cover of the plant.

You use the Microsoft Windows 8 DVD or do you use the Toshiba Recovery DVD 8?

I put t know which model of laptop you have, but on newer models preinstalled with Win 8 some configuration changes are needed in order to boot from the disc.

In the BIOS, you must disable secure boot and have switch to MSC mode

  • Factory recovery finished, now several devices in system without driver

Hello! I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7 - 1236 s with Windows 7 Home Premium x 64. I got the factory settings last night using recovery discs HP bought for my specific model. I have not installed/uninstalled all programs, drivers, etc., and now, Device Manager lists several devices of system without a driver.  The list includes: 2nd generation Intel Core processor to DRAM Controller-0100; direct memory access controller; high precision event timer. Intel 6 series/C200 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller - 1 22; 5 instances of resources of the mother; digital data processor; programmable interrupt controller; 2 instances of card system; and the system clock. Before you recover my system last night, I had uninstalled the Intel RST 11.0.0.1032 program version. I have a single 1 terabyte hard drive (no RAID) and use the computer for my home-based business, and I had read elsewhere that it is not necessary for such a situation. Following this recovery, I see that the pilot in the path: C:\SWSETUP\DRV\Storage\Intel\RST\11.0.0.1032; However, the program is not in the programs of the devices & or Device Manager. -What is originally is current driver problems? I'd be VERY happy any idea that you could provide. Thank you!

  • What is the best choice, factory recovery Vista, or upgrade to windows 7?

Hi everyone, my hp Pavilion a610t/Vista premium, 2.2 G cpu, 3 G ram is begginning to get slow and my registry has been damaged (my cd player does not work because the driver does not not despite all troubleshooting, will not read SD card, task manager blocks and other minor problems that I could continue... etc...) I have 2 years from the end of my studies and need a reliable free trouble PC bu cannot afford to buy a new PC now. What would be the best solution? total factory using recovery disc/Vista OS restore or upgrade OS set to windows 7? I heard windows7 is allot more reliable and trouble free but do not know if my system would work well considering its specifications. Factory restore would give me a new start but eventually vista will act up and is no longer supported... Any advice would be welcome, I'm strictly amateur, and it would make by a Tech unless, its worth trying to fix my problems, but don't know where to start.

    Thank you, Alan

  • HP Mini 210 factory recovery - not a HP Recovery Option?

I searched through many positions for anyone who could have this problem but have not been able to find someone, so I'll put it here and hope someone can help out me.

I'm working on a HP Mini 210 - 4150NR which must be restored to factory fresh State. Many assignments in various forums indicate that it is easier to restart, press ESC, select f11 and then recover to factory settings. However, there are several problems with this (at least for this Netbook). Pressing f11 will start windows normally, it is absolutely * not * bring up the recovery options. However, it is always possible to start the HP recovery from the menu (7 Starter) windows start. From there, however, the only option not grayed out is to use the Windows restore option. Restore factory settings is not available for me.

I checked what is hidden (D recovery partition is present on the hard drive, but it doesn't seem to be possible to get a recovery to work.) I am currently taking the tack of the execution point to the "reinstall drivers and Applications" for all the drivers and applications identified by the program of HP Recovery Manager and who can help, but I'm very unhappy with the inability to restore the factory State.

Someone had this problem? Is there an other poster somewhere that you can tell me (and I thank very you much if you can)? Ideas on the follow-up, that I can take to get this system back to square 1?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice that may be offered.

I understand that the data is present, but obviously, recovery manager sees something wrong with the recovery partition, I would return it for a full refund or Exchange for another in a box factory sealed.

  • Lenovo to create factory recovery disks = FAIL

OK, so the first thing I do when I get a new PC...

    1. charge the battery

    2. start at the start, go through the wizards to get into Windows for the first time

    3 restart once

    4. connect to Windows

    5. CREATE RECOVERY DISCS

I want to say I don't know how long, but the trend has been to put sellers is a recovery partition or provide Imaging for HD software as it is the image and here your recovery discs... no problem...

So I start the creation process of recovery disks and naturally he fails the 3rd disk... but he is told to put in another disc and will...

Now, once I created a recovery disc I always put them to use and make sure they work... of course it's not... results in a Blue Screen of Death.  No problem because I already knew I could reinstall from the provided recovery Partition (I don't have a full recovery from the HD wiping out the recovery partition) I managed to recover well and tried to do a new set of discs of recovery... now, here are the best:

I get a message saying "you can have only one copy of the Microsoft Windows operating system."  The product Recovery Media Creator will leave now. "LOL

Wouldn't be too a problem if they would have provided Windows 7 recovery discs w / purchase instead of XP Pro only.  That I understand not at all.

If anyone know how do to reset the recovery media so that I can created a NEW set of recovery disks?

It is a problem of license; Why is it a failure?

Just delete Q:\FactoryRecovery\service_done.ini if you want to create another game...

  • Aspire switch 10 factory backup recovery

Performed factory recovery backup on USB 32 GB, such as recommended by the Aspire manual switch of 10 who said "a minimum of 16 GB of space would be needed.  Instructions on the required 8 GB just says Backup screen. Backup actually resumed only 5.8 GB!  Back up again in another 32GB USB drive to check it & took only 5.8 GB.  Neither the manual nor the backup screen are seemingly correct as to the amount of space is required. Why this discrepancy?  I don't know if I have a good backup, or not since I'm only 5.8 GB on my USB on both of my attempts. Had a similar problem with backup drivers & Applications.  Manual says it may take several DVDs, but backup screen indicates that a single disc, or about 0.33 GB.  This backup twice and both times I got on my key USB was a shortcut for 1 KB for the 'resource centre', whatever either!  Has anyone else had similar results.  It would seem that two backups could be made on a 8 GB USB key if my results are correct.

Yes, there are some differences on the recovery of the backup.

I suggest you to use the windows built-in 8.1 instead of the Acer erecovery utility.

You can make a complete image of the system, so you don't have to reinstall everything (programs, settings) on a USB key and create a support to boot from USB and re - load the image of the system and help you solve problems starting recovery.

I suggest you do a system image when you have all your programs installed and tested the system is stable.

    Recovery drive:

  • Missing option recovery discs factory - where to download the installation file?

    Hello

I just installed new operating system (Windows 7 Pro) on my T420. Unfortunately I can't find the right URL to download software such as below:

Lenovo ThinkVantage tools Office is well known. I got it in the previous operating system pre-installed, but now, after a fresh install of the OS, I did not managed to download the module factory recovery disks (can not find)... So my question is - where can I get it? And how can I see me as on the attached screen?

Another thing is thinkpad icon in display devices in the control panel. Previous installed OS I had rather nice T420 icon, icon now ordinary pc. How can I change?

And finally, I also had a recovery Partition. Now I don't remember what I did in order to have in the previous Windows pre-installed. Could you please explain it to me?

    Kind regards
