Failure of the Vista Wi - Fi networking and

Help, please.

My problem started after installing the Service Pack for Vista on my Satellite A200 (psaec). I am now unable to connect to my router via ethernet or a wireless adapter.

I tried now to solve the problem.
Installed the latest drivers from the Toshiba support site.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the two devices (with delivery to zero before re-Setup).
Congested DNS, reset the stack tcp/ip etc.
uninstalled Vista SP1 and tried the above without success.

Wired devices and wireless are configured to pick up network affecting automatically (tcp/ip v4 & 6).
The wireless adapter can see the router and connect (reports as being "connected with limited access), but does not have an IP address. I can't access the control panel router etc. and recreate the connection does not work. I also tried to put the ip/dns address etc manually but not joy.

The WinXP machine on the network has connectivity and the router is configured to allow the laptop to the network.

One last thing... There is a warning exclamation on the Miniport (SSTP) WAN.
Tried to update the driver but got the error "a section of installation of service in the INF is invalid.

hardware and operating system
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium (build 6000)
Family of Realtek RTL8101e PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIC 6.0)
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

Thanks in advance,
Bath

Quick update,

I found that I can connect to the internet using a modem dial-up on usb.
I am also waiting for a response from Microsoft on this one.

Please note that all the safety devices (firewall etc. has been disabled or uninstalled).
When I started the machine after the installation of SP1, a warning message was displayed on an old file left by a firewall zonealarm installation which I removed while the SP1 is always installed.

Thank you all,
Bath

Try these steps and check if that helps:

** Turn it back on. Sometimes a reboot will solve this problem.* *.

    1. close all programs and stop the laptop.

    2. remove all power supplies (battery and power cord)

    3. empty the remaining power by pressing the power on button for 30 seconds (even if you have no power).

    4. put the battery back and start the computer

    5. once fully loaded, right-click on the system tray and select Properties.

    6. This will bring to the top of the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialog box. The "Notification area" tab.

    7. at the bottom of the tab, is the area 'icons systems. " There is a checkbox for "Power". "check" the box and click on apply or OK.

Also update your graphics card drivers.

It works! Tanks a lot Johnny D.81!

32-bit to 64-bit is NOT an upgrade path.

It must be done with a clean installation using a Vista FULL 64-bit disk/license.

Buy a version of disk/license FULL Vista 64 bits of your local computer, or online store: amazon, newegg, etc.

I recently updated my window preloaded 8 to 8.1. However, after the update, it accepts not my old window key 8 and asks me to activate with a product key. Here is the error code: 0xC004C003

My DELL XPS came with a preloaded copy of window 8 and yes there a 8 to the rear window sticker

and fully enabled until I updated to windows 8.1.  And as far as I know, system which comes with preloaded window 8 has its key product injected into the motherboard and 8.1 is free for users of window update 8.

So why the update do not accept my window key 8 and ask me a new key? I know that my 8 window key can be used to any other system because the key is injected into the mother board and I don't even know the key myself.

So what can I do now to my window be reactivated?

No more frustration, it's that I can't go back to windows 8.

I tried to reset it to the original image using DELL backup & built in system recovery software.

However, after the image of the factory it does not accept embedded product key.

If the updates of Windows Vista Security above could not install, should I worry about this, I need to find a way to correct the failures and then installed correctly, please advise. Thank you

Yes, you need to solve the problem and install them in particular because they are updated for security.

Try to download and install manually by download on your desktop and install them one by one. Insert the number of KB to get updates on the right and choose the one corresponding to your version of Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  Disable your security software.  Then try the updates again. Once this is done (if it worked) don't forget to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

  • Problem with wireless - Vista Network and Sharing Center does not recognize my connection!

I use the Home Visa software and my network and sharing Center does not recognize my connection but I can access the internet without any problem. Previously, I was using a wireless router Linksys with an old box of AT & T internet with no problems. The problems started after I updated my AT & T internet box that made obsolete the linksys router and now the network share does not connect. I just have the problem of getting the network and sharing device recognizing that I am actually connected to a wireless network. I can't use my printer or share files with other people. I can't get my wireless printer to work if I restart my computer and I have the documents I want printed already sent to the printer. My network and sharing Center also works very well for a few seconds when I start my computer then it turns off again.

    Dear Sir/Madam

When I turned off my laptop and the switch once more, a problem occurs usually suddenly and my operating system "Vista Ultimate" done before and Windows 7 now do the same thing as well time and time again.

The problem is often occurred when I start my PC which is the operating system attempts to create a new different OFFICE that is completely different to my usual DESKTOP with this message:

"C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Make sure the office is inserted correctly, or that you are connected to the internet or your network, and then try again. If it can't be located, the information may have been moved to another location. »

I did format three times and reinstalled my OS Vista and 7 and the problem still occurs. But sometimes, and after passing it off several times the problem disappears. But when my work of operating system there is no problem at all. That's my problem.

  • "UDP receiver.vi" does not work on the type of "public" network but on a private type and the field. Why so much?

I have a configuration Ethernet with 'UDP sender.vi' and "UDP receiver.vi" basically back in as the eponymous example shipped in LabVIEW examples i.e. pair. Nothing special and quite basic.

The UDP sender regularly sends out UDP (30 bytes) packets to the receiver using the number of receivers IP and port 80. However, the port number is not interest to the problem.

The sender and the receiver are different machines, but the two LabVIEW 2011sp1/32, Win7/64
If it is running on a domain network, it works very well. If it runs on a 'public' (Windows Firewall terminology) using the network - IP number data comes through in the Receiver.vi 'UDP '!

    I checked what is obvious:

    1. The packets arrive actually in the network interface (checked with Wireshark) UDP receiver computers. For example. Connection via the sender's public network and firewall it meets on his way there.
    2. firewall on the receiver PC is open for incoming traffic on port 80 for the public (and private + domain name) and open for all programs and allowing the crossing side (there is a router with NAT translation upstream). We even tried to disable the firewall completely - no change.
    3. A program with a similar function as ' UDP Receiver.vi ' but written in C++ running in the same exact state, works as expected.
    4. same "UDP Receiver.vi" running on a target RT (sbRIO9606 or cRIO9024) and off the coast of the exact same cables copper - works as expected.
    5. It is tested on several PCs with the same results.

For example. everything is, as far as I can see, according to the 'books', and again, I must have missed at least one book. The data arrives in the PC network stack - otherwise the program c ++ would work either. So what is done differently in LabVIEW?

Any suggestions as to why a C++ program or a RIO can read the 'public' port UDP, but such a LabVIEW program cannot? And especially what can be done to solve it.

    Thank you
    Henning

There are many other services that is blocked by nature in Windows when you use a network connection of type 'Public '.  Have you added an exclusion for LabVIEW so LabVIEW is not blocked when using a network of type "Public"?

It is said that there is something not working only not with the driver

You probably need to install some network drivers for your wireless card.

    Download drivers

Visit the manufacturer's Web site and select your computer model (this is usually done in the Support section). You should be able to download drivers for your model. Download the driver (s) and follow the instructions to install - every computer is different, so I can't give you exact directions. You can also try to use Windows Update to get drivers - it is located in the start menu.

  • What is the diffrence between HA, FT and Vmotion?

    Hi guys,.

What is the diffrence between HA, FT and Vmotion? It would be ideal to use in which situations?

    Concerning

    Sylvie

Take a look on VMware site to have more holding on these technologies...

VMotion prevent planned service outages and can be used for live migrate a virtual computer through ESX hosts.

It requires a license (included from the advanced version), vCenter, a network for VMotion, shared storage, and a "compatibility" between CPU.

VMware HA resolve host unplanned (and VM) downtime and can be used to restart a virtual computer on other ESX hosts in there is a failure of the host or restart a virtual computer if it freezes.

Downtime is usuall about 2-5 minutes (the time needed to start a virtual machine)

It requires a license (included from essential Plus edition), vCenter (only to set up HA), shared storage.

VMware FT avoid unplanned downtime host and can be used to create a standby virtual machine that will take the place of the primary, if there is a failure of the host.

There may be several primary-secondary couple according to the power of your network and host.

Downtime is usuall less than 1 sec

It requires a license (included from the advanced version), vCenter, a network dedicated to FT, shared storage, a feature of the device CPU and a "compatibility" between CPU.

  • Satellite U300 unable to operate after the Vista upgrade installation

A couple of days, I did a Windows Vista upgrade on my laptop Satellite U300 and since that time, my computer does not work. I do that and then the! 0xc0190036! 4099/69249 (Security-Licensing-SLC-Component-SKU-Home...) appears with a black background. I tried to launch the product recovery disc but computer wouldn't it.

Can someone offer me some tips?

    Kind regards

    Barry

    Hello

    It's very strange
How have you tried to install the operating system recovery disc?

Boot you from the CD and have you followed the instructions on the screen?
    Or what is exactly happening?

Usually, the recovery disk must format the whole HARD drive and the laptop to the factory settings.
In addition, the Vista is already activated and it s not necessary to put keys series.

I see in the error message something about safety licenses. I m not very well what this may be, but perhaps could be a problem with activation, who knows?  :|
But as I said above, the Vista on the recovery disk is already enabled.

  • Networking the cDAQ-9188 - no 'network devices' Max

    Hi all:

I have problems connecting my NI 9188 cDAQ via ethernet to my computer. MAX does not display it in his repertoire, or it displays "network devices". Based on the guide NOR offer, I don't know what else to do (I can't access the modules in a LabVIEW project which is my problem).

I used the tool online browser that seems to be the equivalent of MAX and works very well - I can see the IP address of the controller and it shows what chassis slots are used by what the map.

I tried manually inputing this IP in a remote system to the MAX, but that hasn't worked.

Any ideas on how I can networks controller on my computer so I can actually use in a LabVIEW project.

I have LabVIEW 2012 32 Bit. Would a student version be the cause of the problem?

    Thank you very much.

    cuaerospace wrote:

I am familiar with the method you describe, but I agree with all the power cycling to get some of these products to work. I had to do this several times with the cRIO. Any chance you could give a little more than a description step by step explcit of your approach? Thank you!

Good so here's what I did to try to reproduce and to have a step by step of what I had to do.

Firstly I have reset my cDAQ so that it would be if all goes well in the mode that yours is.  To do this, I pressed the button to reset for 5 seconds then.  I have also all my network devices defined to "Obtain an IP address automatically" in the IPv4 settings in my network connections.

    After that, I start MAX.

Go to devices and Interfaces > network devices, then I right click and choose Find devices.  It took a lot of time and the list was empty, but then I noticed that while he was always looking in this window, the MAX window showed my cDAQ-9188, who was a white device.  There, he registered the IP address as 169.254.93.149.  At this point if I went to the device to the MAX I saw where he sometimes States under network settings that no network adapters found.

So I closed MAX and open my "view network connections" in Windows, I just searched that term in the start menu.  Then for my device properties, went to the IPv4 properties, set the IP address of 169.254.93.0 with 255.255.0.0 default gateway.  It is, so I'm on the same subnet as the appliance.

I then restarted MAX now when I go to the device under devices, network and network settings I can set static IP and subnet is 255.255.0.0 10.10.10.100 then save.  Then closed MAX.

Then I went back to my view network connections, the static value of what I really wanted is 10.10.10.0

MAX then launched.  Find my device that is always white, click Add the device.  And then all is good.  I don't know if all these steps are necessary, and I don't know if there is an easier way, but it worked for me.
