• Creating native MSI bundle which is "per user" - based (no 'system' - based)

  I'm collecting all the information to create a native MSI package which 'by user' is based - but failed.
  
  This means:
  (.) The MSI should install to the local directory of the user
  (.) There should be no admin permission required
  
  When you use the default < fx: deploy... nativebundle = 'msi'... > element - ANT-, the MSI is created "system-wide" basis, installation in ' / Prorgram Files "and asking the admin permission.
  
  There is no concrete indication in the Oracle documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/deployment/self-contained-packaging.htm) how to create "per user" basis of MSI files. Maybe, someone already did it and could tell the imprortant steps...

  I created a profile MYPROFILE and set the value of simultaneous (per user) Sessions on 30. DB has rebounded after the creation of the profile. I made this default profile for a specific user 'MYUSER '. I checked that questioning DBA_USERS (select profile from dba_users where username like "MYUSER") I checked v$ session with this particular user after awhile and noticed that it showed 34 sessions. Certain ASSETS and the INACTIVE.
  
  My question is, if I set the maximum number of concurrent sessions per user on 30 to myprofile and made it the default for MYUSER profile, so how did I am still able to see more than 34 sessions of myuser regardless of the State? I don't know if it's relevant or not, but the IDLE TIME is set to 15 minutes.

  You have the parameter resource_limit = true ? You must do so before test sessions_per_user. You can do the following,

  alter system set resource_limit=true;

  I put maxujobs = 60 in the Scheduler configuration, so that a user can not have more than 60 jobs running at once.
  But what about the parallel jobs? If a user sends 60 parallel jobs (for example - orte EP 8), he will receive 480 slot machines!
  I would like to set a limit on the maximum number of sites that a single user can get running at once... something like "maxuslots"...
  
  I know that I can put the var 'niche roles' in the parallel configuration env, but would limit the number of parallel slots for all users as a whole, not on a per user basis.
  
  Any comments/advice/help very welcome.

• f4fpackager 11 error: error in the encryption library

  (I posted this on the forum HTTP Dynamic Streaming, but advises him to repost it here. In addition, there is an old thread in this forum with the same subject, but it develops differently).

  I am trying to run Packager for HTTP Dynamic Streaming (f4fpackager) to encrypt the content as well.

  I packaging several bitrates successfully without encryption.

  Also, I have the Flash access package (the application references flashaccess - packager.war) running on tomcat successfully. I can use it to encrypt and content downloaded from a regular HTTP file server. The conditioner and the license server I package against are run successfully on a Linux platform (I also have a windows platform, but I focus on Linux). I run package manager using the Flash Access Manager application running on a Windows machine.

  I now try to run the f4fpackager on this same license server, using the same credentials of package that I use for Packager refimpl Flash Access but I get error 11: error in the encryption library.

  The common-key file is a binary file with 128 bytes (generated using OpenSSL).

  Identification-pwd information comes from flashaccess-refimpl - packager.properties.

  The certificate is a certificate of the trial is the same for the license server and transport. It is still valid for at least 4 weeks. As I said, Packager Flash Access works correctly.

  I don't see any network attempt to access the license server, and nothing comes in the server logs.

  Hi Naomi,

  The password of identification specified in your configuration XML file appears to be scrambled.  The f4fpackager.exe tool requires no password to be scrambled.  Please try using the clear original password and try again.

  I have a MacBook Air with active FileVault 2012. There is no significant difference in performance. Note, however, that there will be a performance impact until the original encryption is complete and that it doesn't have a way to stop it.

• Why should I get invited to back up the encryption keys

  Running Vista Ultimate today downloaded a program called "Win32 Image writer" in order to write an ISO on a USB key file.

  I was unable to "just run the utility" as stated in the note "readme", just kept flashing to a BACK window when you try to run it.

  Tried to remove the program, but was told repeatedly that it was in use.

  Since that time I keep getting warnings of dire consequences if I don't support up to my encryption key.

  Restarted my PC and then managed to 'Remove the shift' all partners/records, some of whom are green in the Explorer tree.

  I've learned since that denotes encrypted files!

  I never asked to be encrypted, and now they are gone I always tells me to save these keys.

  I see that I have no other files encrypted on my machine.

  Can someone help me get rid of this warning, or tell me how to check if my machine has all of the encrypted files?

  This is the point, I have never actively sought encryption of one of my files.

  Encrypted files, I saw in the Explorer (shown in green) have been created by a program called "Win32 Image writer", which I had downloaded in order to write a file ISO of Linux on a USB.

  Immediately this program has been installed these encrypted files appeared and started to the harassing!

  I have no idea why the program should act with such stealth, I suspect it was something bad!

  I was totally unable to launch the application and decided to remove it, but it has not been listed as being installed in Progs & features and since there is no "Uninstall" file, I was reduced to "Move/remove" program folder and subfolders encrypted.

  After the second reboot, I had no other please "backup encryption keys", and I see there is no other "green" article in the Explorer tree.

  I am pretty sure that I eradicated the problem, unless there is a way I can force the system to show me if there are other encrypted items.

  If you want to encrypt a file or folder by using EFS (ENCRYPTING File System), but the Advanced button is not displayed on the Properties dialog box or the encrypt the contents of the box secure data is grayed out, it could be for one of the following reasons

  You don't have an edition of Windows that supports the EFS. You can use EFS to encrypt files on Windows vista edition full, professional and Enterprise editions.

  The drive that you want to encrypt files on is not formatted using the NTFS file system. EFS only works on computers that use the NTFS file system. If the file you want to encrypt is on a drive that uses the FAT or FAT32 file system, you must convert the drive to NTFS to display the Advanced button.

• Unexpected Windows 7 Pro Message on encryption of files, asking Me to back up the encryption key and password

  Have a desktop HP 590 t 2 - months old, Win 7 Pro 64-bit running.  Two days ago, I received an unexpected pop-up Windows message, saying something like "Files EFS in Windows."  When I click on it, I get 3 options:

  1 certificate of encryption and the emergency key and create the password
  2 ask me later
  3. do nothing... If you don't back up your key and the password, you will not be able to access the files.

  What is strange, is that I did nothing (that I know) which would cause no files to encrypt.  I don't know yet what it is, other than what I read in the help Windows.  I called HP Tech Support, they advised me to choose "REMIND ME LATER", that's what I selected.

  After that I turned the computer off yesterday morning, then turned it back last night, I had the same command prompt.  But he appeared at the start, then went off on his own.  I did have to choose anything.

  Since it is a new computer, I was installing software, but legitimate all software, such as Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Dreamweaver, etc..

  Here are my questions:

  1 - is Windows, or could some software I have installed, start encrypting files ON it's OWN?  I thought files could only be encrypted if I expressly and explicitly started encryption of files.

  Thanks for the tips.  I think I may know what it is.  It could be the edition of SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer, I had installed recently.  Apparently, it encrypts certain files as part of its operation.  I read where it makes the encryption/decryption of files in real time.  I hope it's something 'internal' for SQL Server and will not affect anything else on my PC.  I use SQL Server 2000 on Windows XP for 10 years and has never seen this message.  Was only my PC Win7 64 bit for 2 months, so am always install software.

  If the OS Win7 can be noticed this and simply prompting me for a key.  I don't know if I should get just a key/password or not, just to be safe.

  But the message popped up when I used an option in a program to copy files to an external flash drive.  I checked, and none of the files on the flash drive, or in the folder root of the program on the desktop are encrypted.  So the time the message appeared might be a coincidence, as the copy of files from the flash drive.

  So far, everything works OK and have only seen the message once more, when I restarted Friday, then the message disappeared on its own.  Have not restarted since then but little time.

  I'm trying to read data from a file and write it in another file after encrypting. I use 16-bit AESEncryption thing Key.Every is fine. I am able to encrypt the data correctly. But when the decryption is done BadPaddingException.I lil bit of research and find that it throws a Badpadding Exception, because there are a few escape sequences in the encrypted data, such as \n, \r, \t, \f etc..

  One thing is if I encrypt and decrypt the data immediately without saving it to file it works fine. {But when I encrypt the data and file writing and later, when I decrypt the data, then I'm the exception (as I am reading line by line) if suppose my encrypted data is like this b}@\n<> and when I write file o, b} @ will be written on one line and

  As a quick ground, I tried this if the encryypted data is less than the length of the block which is 16. then I read another line and merge these data of bytes in 2 lines, by adding a 0xA in the meantime and passing this to decipher. Its not working properly. But what of the escape of another sequence like \r,\t and all. Can someone suggest me please how to deal with this.

  I solved this problem by myself. We cannot replace \n, \r with a different value for byte. Because all the values of bytes will come up some or another. For my needs, I should identify each row of data. So here I can't identify each line \n and \r are present in the encrypted data. And I can not put any value to indicate the end of the line. So after working wrapper, I got a medium and it is. I will read the data to the first file, encrypt the byte data and convert each byte in the byte array resulting from float and will write that float one by one in the new file. And when playing I've read a floating point number and converts it into bytes and added to DataBuffer.Here I can identify easily, end of the line by putting my own val (when writing to the file) is not in the range of bytes val (i.e.-128 to 127), so if the defined end of line happens I get the byte of the buffer array and and this byte array data and This process continues until the end of the file is reached. I don't know whether there is a correct approach. But at least it solved my problem. I give this info here because if another is facing the same situation, so at least they will have some info from my exp.

• The switch SLM224G does support VLAN per port?

  I'm looking for a simple solution create two LAN. One for my own and the other for my clients, who will be able to use the desktop computer with internet access. I only have one internet connection (ADSL over ISDN) and wil not get another just for my clients.

  My own network should not be accessible or visible to users who use the PC clients. The other way around is authorized, but not really necessary. My setup requires me to connect to the switch to the (ISP) router, and the router has a LAN port not able to do anything related to VIRTUAL networks.

  I read on the VLAN port to put here, where it is stated that creating separate LAN is just the ports in VLANS on the switch, nothing else to do... However, they used a NetGear smart switch.

  I checked SLM224G of Cisco because it is affordable, has 24 ports (instead of 8 for the NetGear) and must support of VLAN. I read a lot about VIRTUAL networks, including:

  «- Means the VLAN per port that you can reconfigure the ports to be in different VLANS.» VLAN per port does not confirm the 802. 1 q supported VLANS.

  -802. 1 q VLAN means you can mark the VLANS with 802. 1 q headers to create a trunk between two devices carrying frames for several VLAN. 802 1 q VLAN confirms that there are also supported VLAN per Port. »

  I knew by the sheets that the SLM224G supports 802. 1 q (tagged) trunking. So it should be, given the text above, also supports VLAN per port.

  My question is if it indeed will support VLAN per port?

  I am able to use it directly behind the router of my ISP and create two separate LAN?

  If so, a supplementary question: how are the PC behind the switch (inside the two VLAN) removes the ISP router IP addresses? It will serve only of the two LAN or do I have to install a DHCP server in the other LAN?

  I read what you posted and I don't think the slm224g will do what your configuration you want to.  The reason behind all this, if you have installed 2 VLAN you will need 2 gateways for each network.  Since then just the ISP router and a network.  I'd get a router capable of VLANs and plug it into the router of the Internet service provider and then you can have up to 4 networks behind your router.  The rvs4000 is a router excellent gigabits, which supports up to 4 VLANS.  So if you need additional ports, you can get unmanaged switches and plug it into the router for added ports.
