  I have a stupid problem.
  I use my laptop for over 4 years now and I'm very happy with it. It's the Qosmio X 500.

  Now, I've been stupid enough to use ONLY the TFPU login and using my laptop for all the time. I think I entered my password once and never again. 4 years later, I forgot my password and TFPU is now unresponsive.

  I can't in my laptop that I forgot my password... And TFPU no longer works.

  Didn't register the fingerprint using the Finger Print Toshiba utility in addition to the TFPU password?

  Usually, the password must be used where the fingerprint would not work correctly and prevents the user from laptop to connect.

  I don t think you can delete an unknown password. I guess the sensor must be cleaned and this can be done by an authorized service provider.

  I've had my Tecra A9 for over 2 months now and I've found recently that whenever I have my finger on the fingerprint device, the usual message appears, but it crashes.

  The box remains, I can't close it, I can't click on Yes or no. All I can do is to restart my computer to get rid of the message box, or drag it right while his does not.

  Any suggestions as to why this is happening? And how can I solve this problem?

  I put t know why this happen, but your first step should be updated of the fingerprint software.

  Have you noticed that on the first day of use?
  Have you tried to delete the model being fingerprints and create a new?

  Try to remove the preinstalled version and install the latest version of the Toshiba download page. Maybe this will help.

  You also need a compatible fingerprint reader and a driver to run it - or you can buy a USB Mini fingerprint reader (assuming you have a spare USB port).  The 'mini' offers its pilots.

  Just to tell you that I have this same problem, except my touch screen just stopped working out of the blue, never went to the service in the first place. TPT2 updated to 8.1 Windows, bought in April 2013. I also have the yellow bangs in Device Manager, but in my case, they seem related to the pen holder, my model was not (3679-23U)

  Going through the forums, I saw someone with similar problems saying magnetic interference could send the crazy Tablet for a few days. I myself remember I put my Tablet next to a balcony, where there was a nearby refrigerator. The guy said after a few days, his reworked screen.

  Just my new iPhone 6s had installed at the local AT & T store. Footprint security has been set as usual.

  It works with your right thumb but not the left. My old phone doesn't have this problem.

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that after updating to iOS 10, you are unable to use Touch ID on your iPad. I know I can use this guard your iPad secure and makes it easier to access your content. I'm here to help.

  Please, try the following steps and test Touch ID after each step.

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of iOS.
  2. Make sure that your fingers and the Home button are clean and dry. 1 for Home button, use a clean, lint cloth to wipe off any dirt or debris.
  3. Your finger should completely cover the Home button, touch the surrounding metal ring. Contact ID is scanning, you should not type too fast or move your finger.
  4. If you use a case or a protective screen, make sure that it does not cover the Home button or the surrounding ring.
  5. Go to settings > Touch ID & password and make sure the Unlock iPhone or iTunes and App Store is on and that you have entered one or more fingerprints.
  6. Try to register another finger.
  7. If you cannot register your finger, take your camera to a store Apple Store or Apple authorized service provideror Contact the Apple Support.

  Yes, you can use the access code and touchID for unlock iDevices.

  Go to settings == > Touch ID & password == > activate iPhone Unlock == > activate iTunes and App Store

  Please note that ONLY your access code can unlock iDevices after a restart (or reboot).

  With the iPhone 6 s, you have the option to set up a fingerprint to unlock your device and also for the use of Apple pay. This support document explains Setup Touch ID with your fingerprint.
