Fingerprint Software will not work after reinstalling

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the fingerprint, version 3.2.0.341 reader - 20/04/09.  When I try to register a fingerprint, I get the message "Fingerprint Registration: FPApp.exe - cannot locate component" saying "this application has failed to start because css_banner.dll is not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. »

I have re-installed, choose the repair, but I still don't have the error.  However, I see css_banner.dll in \Program Files\Lenovo\Client Security Solution.

How can I solve this problem?

Update: I uninstalled the 3.2.0.341 version and installed the version 3.2.0.116.  I have the same problem.

I solved the problem: I had to fix the Security Client Solution.

I noticed that if I tried to open the Client Security Solution, I had a similar error on css_banner.dll is not present, message followed by a message CSSLauncher.exe has encountered an error and that it would be closing.  So I decided that since the css_banner.dll belongs to Client Security Solution, it was logical to try to reinstall or repair the application.  I downloaded version 8.2 of drivers and software, and it offered a choice of "repair".  After the repair, my request for fingerprint reader worked.  I've updated the fingerprint reader to the new version of the 20/04/09 3.2.0.341 and it seems to work very well.

    I am running Windows 8 on a new computer dv6 HP Envy.  I use Norton 360 anti-virus.  Norton apparently does not work with Windows 8 correctly b/c every time I have download updates via Norton I can't run all the tests.  So I uninstall Norton 360 and reinstall, which allows then to Norton 360 works correctly.  HOWEVER, whenever I do that (which is at least once a week and is VERY VERY VERY VERY BORING!), HP Simplepass DOES NOT at all.  It says in the device, biometric devices Manager:

    Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).

    HELP HELP HELP HELP!  You pay tons of money for a new computer and it has constant problems.  Can not a fix it or give me some help to fix it?  This irritates me a LOT and will probably cause I DO NOT to BUY another product HP or Norton MORE EVER!

    Well, you could just not use Norton.  I confess that I'm not a fan of Norton, so the decision would be easier for me that it could be for someone else.

    There are a lot of other options out there that will work for you.

    If you want, take a look at Avast Anti-virus.  There are paid and free versions.  The software has a good reputation and is easy to install and use.   The paid version (Avast security) has a number of features, including network monitoring, control rules and a 'sandbox' in which you can run restricted access programs (for banking, etc.).

    My personal experience with Kasperky includes some of the same adventures that I had with Norton - I have succeeded with an older version of the software, so closely bind things that I managed to block the system.  It's real easy to Bumble and more difficult to manage that I liked.  Great software - I doubt that anyone else could have hacked the system easily - I could not get anything to run, I doubt that anyone could have dug made far away in the computer either.  The smile.

    I improved my internal hard drive and used superduper to copy on my existing mac partition.  However, my xp partition has not transferred because superduper does not recognize this.  I ended up reinstalling windows from scratch via bootcamp.

    I can boot windows very well.  The problem is that the merger will not start my windows partition.  I get this error message:

    «You have your IDE (disks/CD-ROM) devices configured in a State that won't work - you have an IDE slave with no master to ide0:1.»

    While this works on some BIOS and some actual machines, it doesn't does not correctly on a virtual machine. "Please place your disk/CD-ROM in ide0:0 to ide0: 1 in the configuration editor.

    I have run the uninstaller for the merger and then reinstalled but it does not work.  (It also remind my series, so I do not know it is how 'uninstalled').

    Is there a way to reset the merger?  I'm on 2.0.1.
