G62-407DX lost rubber bumper

My G62-407DX lost one of the bumbers four rubber. These are the things rubber around the perimeter of the screen, how can I get a replacement?

HP had rubber display kit in stock. I called the 800 support number. The Indian technical support service was very good, as they set me up with the kit. HP FedExed the kit for me in 2 days.

According to the documentation on my laptop, it supports up to 8 GB of DDR3.  It is currently installed with a key 2 GB of Kingston and a 1 GB of DDR3 Micron as it was configured by HP.  I tried to improve it up to 8 GB of memory PNY last night and met with complete failure.

When starting the BIOS detected that 8 GB of RAM was installed like Windows.  However, Windows indicates that 3,79 GB of RAM was usable and 8GB has been installed.  About 2 months ago, I got this exactly the same problem on a desktop computer.  The question is not in Windows because it is the 64 bit version of Windows 7.  It's actually the BIOS that is to blame.  On my desk, I had to contact the manufacturer to get a new version of the BIOS (the version I needed was not available on their website).  The problem with the BIOS, is that he lacks the feature "remapping memory."  Without the parameter, Windows will not be able to use all of the memory installed in the system.  The BIOS on this laptop seems to have basically all normal BIOS settings deleted, which is strange, but I can understand since it is a laptop and not a desktop computer.

After having the problem with memory, I checked my BIOS version and went on HP website to see if there was a newer version.  To my surprise, the version in my laptop (F.25) is newer than the version on the website (F.23)!  It seems that all the drivers and utilities on this laptop HP support page are old.

Can someone help me find a BIOS with memory remapping?  If there isn't one, I hope that HP sees that their BIOS has a problem...

    Hello snike3,

Sorry to hear about your memory problems. I came across your post, shortly after the purchase of 8 GB (2x4gb) of new memory for the same model specifications, and I started to worry that I would have problems too. I installed modules and all the 8GB are recognized and usable. I bought the laptop (HP G62-407DX) last week. Running the version of BIOS F.25 with InsydeH20 Setup Utility Rev. 3.5 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, like you did. The new modules passed the test of the memory configuration utility (I'll run it through something more rigorous later).

I know that this does not solve your problem and I apologize, but I hope that it provides an overview. Maybe you received a module of memory of buttocks, or it is not fully inserted into the slot of memory? Maybe the PNY memory modules play well with these laptops? If it's any consolation, the memory that I use is model G.SKILL F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ:

If possible, you might want to consider RMA'ing your PNY memory and buy memory, that I linked above. He has been working for the last two hours firmly. Please reply/re-post when you have a solution to your situation.

  • HP G62-407DX notebook computer Bluetooth does not

I have a HP G62 407DX laptop running Windows 7 OS. It's my first attempt to get the Bluetooth running on this system since I bought it 2 years ago.

Please correct me if I've done all this evil.

-Module Bluetooth has not been detected on my device manager or Wireless Assistant so I checked the specifications of my computer. I realized that Bluetooth drivers may be missing for my model and decided to download the same on the site.

-I think I found the correct drivers here - http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5...   I took the Ralink/Motorola Bluetooth card driver from this list.

-However when I try to run the software I get the following error message "" Bluetooth hardware must be put on run this installation package.

-I don't know how to solve this problem. I read somewhere maybe some BIOS for Bluetooth setting must be enabled, but I see no mention of Bluetooth in my BIOS settings.

I'll be unable to get the bluetooth works until I have buy an external Bluetooth device, or something?

    Please notify.

    Hello

As mentioned above, your machine doesn't have a built-in Bluetooth, it is a piece of hardware, the software alone cannot do this job as if by magic. Yes, the BT dongle should come with a software/driver or it can be integrated into Windows.

    Kind regards.

  • Spare hard drive stops tray and rubber for X 201

    Hello

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X 201. Due to the nature of my job I am frequently necessary to start a variety of operating systems. Recently I moved Ubuntu on a spare HARD drive to protect the integrity of the BONE, so now I have two hard drives - one that start in Windows 7 and another that starts in Ubuntu. The problem is that if I connect hard drive via the USB port to start Ubuntu, it's slow death and I had cases where the hard disk has developed bad sectors because the USB cable came loose and disconnected the disk. The only other option I currently use is to manually exchange internal hard disks every time I need to change operating systems. I was wondering if I can buy a platter of spare with her rubber mounts hard drive so that all I have to do is unscrew the cover of the drive Bay (one screw) and swap discs rather than to have to unscrew all and and screw on the other HARD drive repeatedly.

Could someone please provide me with a FRU number for all of the SATA HDD assembly (less the HARD drive itself, of course, but including rail rubber).

    Thank you

  • G62 laptop don't boot-DST short failed

Hi, I have a 2 years, HP G62 - 407DX Notebook PC that will not be in service.  It doesn't have the start, lapping, sytem update and test drive with a short outage DST in each.  The error is QE07W4-5HK6GC-XDO141-60WQ03, hard disk 1.  Any suggestions on how to proceed?  Thank you.

    You are the very welcome.

Replacing a hard drive is easy to do.

See the manual on the link below, Chapter 4.

    http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02641795/c02641795.PDF

If you don't want to purchase recovery discs for your HP PC (that you can find info on the link below), you can also make your own Windows 7 If installation disc you can read the 25-character windows product key 7 on the bottom of your PC.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/bph07143

Here is the info on how to make your own install of W7 disc.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • Error code 52 on HG62 Notebook PC - cd/dvd drive does not

    Hello

BIOS recognizes my cd/dvd rom drive, but if I insert a disc, nothing happens. Can't find the workstation link player.  I tried to figure out how to download a new driver in the hope that the problem will be resolved, but continues to run into dead ends.

My product number is XZ267UA #ABA and model number is HP G62-407DX notebook PC.  The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit (6.1, build 7601).

In Device Manager, under my CD/DVD Rom drive, I get an error "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)'.

Can someone please help with this problem?  Thanks in advance!

    Kristen

    Hello Kristen,

    Try the following.

Shut down the laptop.  Here tap f8 as soon as you press the power button to start the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Disable driver signature enforcement" and press ENTER.

When windows is loaded, the optical drive now shows under "computer"?

If it now works Ok, try restarting the laptop - if the error doesn't happen again not great then, but if this is the case, the best option would be to replace the CD/DVD driver as follows.

    1. download the utility which will add "Take Ownership" to the contextual right click menu.  The download is on the following link.

    Appropriating

It is a zipped file.  If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip (if you have a 64-bit version of Windows, you need this version of 7-Zip ) which can be used to open it so that you can run the Setup program.  Then just right click the folder zipped, select 7 - Zip and extract the files.  When you're done, open the newly extracted folder and you can find the utility to add "Take Ownership" to the right click menu.  Double-click it to install it and then close the window.

2 open windows control panel, open Device Manager, open CD/DVD-ROM drives.  Click with the right button on the drive and select uninstall and click on the prompt to complete this.

3 click on the Start Menu, open computer, double-click Local C drive, open the "Windows" folder, open the "System32" folder, right-click on the "drivers" folder and select Take Ownership.

Just below this folder, open the folder "DriverStore", open the "FileRepository" folder, open the folder that starts "cdrom.inf", right click the ' filecdrom.sys' and select copy.

Close all open windows and then paste this file to your desktop.

4 still once, click on the Menu start, open the computer, double-click Local C drive, open the "Windows" folder, open the "System32" folder, then this time Open the folder "drivers", right-click and select Paste.  You should now get a prompt that the file already exists - select the option copy and replace and click on all additional guests to complete it.

Once finished, close all open windows and reboot the laptop - see if this has corrected the error.

    Kind regards

  • dv5-2070us screws for hdd insecure on the laptop

I watched the service manual for this laptop and images on hard drive showed the screws to secure the hard drive on the laptop, but hard drive of my notesbook does not have slot machines, a carter or holes to put the screws on. The hard drive is just lying with cable connection on the motherboard.  Without screws to fix the hard disk, it will be sensitive to vibrations or 'clash '. Could be a factor for the hard disk to fail?

A question unrelated to problem laptop let l. can reach us screenshots in our messages? Thank you.

Yes you can attach screenshots. There are icons in the toolbar above the 'Show the Message' box, and one to the right the 'link' is to display images.

  • I2/I3 magnetic charger compatible with Z3C?

The Thailand just the Z3C this last week and I bought one today.  There is no true "Sony Stores", but I bought in a store licensed to Sony and asked about a magnetic charger, I can see it getting old real quick to keep flipping open the lid of the charger to the USB charger.  They said charger mag Z2 was compatible with the Z3, but not with Z3C.  They don't have one in stock, but are planning to get a few "ARS".

If I2/I3 mag charger is NOT compatible, a mag Z1C charger compatible?

In addition, there is any rubber "bumper" as for iPhones?  I am upgrading to an iPhone4 and really liked having the rubber bumper to protect the phone when he puts on a hard surface, especially if I drag and drop it.  I would have preferred a 'bumper' rather than a 'case', but a case would be Plan B.  Impossible to find all the stores with a compatible box Z3C yet, but I don't know that it won't take long.  BUT... the Z3C rubber bumpers?

DK31 cord has the orientation frames on the pins. If you inspect them closely, they are not identical. You cannot plug it otherwise even when it is used outside of the docking station.

Regarding the cable itself, it is the same cable and Connector for Z1C Z1, Z2, Z2, Z3, Z3C, Z3 Tablet tablet.

    I use it for Z1C, Z1 and Z2 Tablet.

You can just buy DK31, remove the two screws from the bottom, remove the cable and use it for your Z2 and Z3C.

  • YouCam not answer it PLEASE HELP

Hello. I have the laptop G62-407DX with the HP Webcam 101 Windows 7 64 bit.  It came with YouCam. The program worked very well when I came to the computer. Then all of a sudden, it appears that I need an update to use it. I click ok to make the update, goes to a page to update to version 3.2 of YouCam for HP users. I did the update, had first to remove the old version (which was not working because he says he needs an update to use). Then when I go to open the program, it rises, but I can't use it because he says does not. No matter what I do, it does.  I checked the drivers for the camera and the video card and they all say that they are up-to-date.

I have contacted CyberLink and told to contact HP. The problem is my warranty is over now and I can not afford the cost of technical support.

Please help how to solve this problem.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download the Setup program for the next version of Cyberlink YouCam HP on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    CyberLink YouCam.

Once the download is complete, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click the entry for Cyberlink YouCam and choose uninstall.  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows rebooted, open your download folder, click with the right button on the installation of YouCam program and select "run as a tool to start the installation.

When the installation is complete, restart the computer again and let Windows load fully before checking it in.

  • Adding additional SSD for dell xps 15 with 256 GB SSD

Hi, I just bought a dell xps 15 9550 with 6th gen i7, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB ssd. Is it possible to add an additional SSD for the location of hard disk 2.5 inches remaining. If possible do I need to buy the cable for SSD too or is that what cable already included here?

    Thanks in advance,

There is a support and a set of rubber bumper needed to connect a disk 2.5 "hard.  In general, these are not delivered with the system unless it is controlled with a hard drive - you must remove the base of the cover to check if - some reports are that some versions can be delivered with the necessary equipment.  If not, they are likely available from spare parts from Dell and from other sources such as EBay and third Dell parts suppliers such as share - People.com.
