Graphics update rate waveform

Hello

I have a request I'm two signals to measure voltage in and feeding these signals to the mask and limit test VI to check if the signals are at your fingertips.

I want to have 1000 samples7sec (1 kHz sampling frequency). The software works well but the only problem is with graphical waveform updated. If I run the loop of producer with 1 ms, in the log file, I have 1000 samples/s, BUT I see nothing on the waveform table (the second graph on GUI). I mean, I do not see the tolerances and my i / p signal.

When I run the loop of producer with 2 ms, I can see signals on form of wave, but in the log file table, I have 500 or lower than that of the samples/s. I tried to change the rate of smapling but without success.

Any help would be appreciated.

see the attached example VI

1. with a continuous sampling, you do not want to set the size of buffer.  Just let him be the default (which is quite large).

2. you really do not want a waiting in your loop of producer.  Instead, you must inform the DAQmx Read to read something like 100 samples.  Waiting for the upcoming data will limit your loop rates.

3. your second table is actually a chart.  A graph has the whole story and shows exactly what you gave him changed.  So, if you were trying to get all of the samples every 1ms when you are sampling at 1 kHz, you get 1 sample buffer playing and only 1 sample will be on the chart, making it appear as there is nothing in the graph.  When you go to 2ms, you get 2 samples to appear on the chart.  So I think you want to replace it with a chart.

    Hello

I would create a vi containing a while loop, however I want the graphics data updated every second. Which is the right way to do it then?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean...

Is your loop acquisition/generate data to more than 1 Hz?

If so, I guess you want to update the chart only each iteration of loop of 10 or 100.

Here's a quick example (documented in LV 8.6).

I'm using labview 7.0 which requires a driver NI DAQ 8.1, not later. I think for example to 6 channels that a 1 ms pulse can make a rate of 1 to 1000 points but to 2ms, it can only make 670 k rate with 1340 points and a 3ms pulse can go no more than 560 k rate in 1680 points.

I performed this test using the measurement and automation program.

  • The graphic evolution of waveform details updated?

Hi all, hope everyone is having a wonderful July 4.

-Very well, so I'm new to labview and find my things around simple things well enough, but not having never taken an interest programming, Im a little behind in the logic of the machine, so I thought I would ask here.

EDIT: using labview 2009.  Vision package

The research that I do is to analyze the electron Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) images and their fringes to observe weaknesses points/potential fracture in different materials and others.  I made a simple VI which allows me to draw a line on the image the ESPI and exit of the intensity of the light to a waveform chart to make it easier to objectively determine the size of the area (area where the fracture is more likely to occur) plastic.

What I would like is to be able to draw or first set the coordinates of the line, then somehow, be able to move vertically - using just my mouse or a digital controller - and have the graphic waveform updated in real time, as I do.

Any suggestions?  Ive attatched my programs, one called "line.vi" uses digital input to determine the coordinates of the line.

Also, since I did not sem to be able to set the bitmap images, Ive uploaded a sample of image here http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/3566/espiimage.png I don't know why imageshack converted into a PNG image if

    Thank you all

    Hi itschad,

have you read the context-sensitive help for the chart? Here we show what kind of data you connect to draw more than one line on the graph of some...

"Does a weird issue where once I select the line, the intensity profile keeps itself adding time and time again on the end of the table, so a table that could have initially 100 datapoints, stop of is longer and longer."

That's how cards work. They keep a story (that you disable constantly). You can set the size of the history buffer. If the default value of 1024 points, it's too much for you, you can cut it to 100 - it is just a right click away... Otherwise, you must use a graph as a graph plots only the points that are currently wired to him (it does not keep a history of previous values).

  • Waveform behavior of strange graphics update

I have a strange problem with a waveform graph in a VI in LabVIEW 8.5.  For some reason when our diagram must autoscale the y-axis, all of the graph will redraw.  This causes a noticeable delay and is visibly distracting. At first, we thought it was a problem with the style of point, as we see only this question in our application by using a style that uses individual points for each data point, rather than connecting the dots with lines.

To test, I made a sample VI to ensure that he was not a problem of performance with any of our other codes and slipped and fell the graph of our application in a new VI.  I made a simple pattern that simulates the data written on the chalkboard.  I was a little relieved when I saw the same problem because it made me think that it wasn't our code that was the issue.

Then, on a whim, I decided to replace it with a 'new' waveform graph.  After you set up a certain number of things, I tried to reproduce the behavior, and I can't!  I tried to make the two graphs as identical as possible through all the settings, but I can't understand why it is shown the repainting issue, while the other does not.

I have included the two screws, and I'd love to know if others see the problem, and if anyone has an idea as to what is the cause.  To see what I mean, turn the knobs Amplitude and prejudice to force the chart to repaint.  GraphUpdateTest.vi will NOT show a problem, while GraphUpdateTest2.vi will be.

    Thanks in advance!

    -Ron

    Hi Ron,

I could see what you're talking about, and I created a demand for corrective measures for this issue. Thanks for the bug capture.

  • Graphics update HP Pavilion p7-1421

I have a HP Pavilion p7-1421 desktop is integrated graphic running supplied with the pc. I would like to put in a better graphics card for the high-end gaming, but I do not know what card would be best for my needs. I was watching the GeForce GT 630 2048 MB GDDR3 link here. My biggest concern is that the computer is running 300 watts and I really don't want to mess with power if I have to. Advice or suggestions on a better type of card (better than what he has now / integrated) who would go without having me more power? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

Stay with the recommendation that is made by the manufacturer of the video card.  This recommendation is based on the unknown electric charges in the PC, the quality of the power supply and efficiency under maximum loads with the 5 volt and 12 volt bus. Some try to skirt recommendation of the manufacturer of the video card. This may work for a while until the PC is put under load and/or the next update is made and the finger pointing began. It's your decision. The map that you referenced can work with your current diet.  It is a call to close.

  • Satellite L650-16V - graphics update required

    Hallo

I have a Satellite L650 16V, with the graphics card card Intel(r) HD graphics.
Now, I've had this computer for about 2 years, so I still consider it new.

The problem is, he can't play a lot of computer games, many of them lagg like crazy, and some may not even be open. There is a website called canirunit, where you can check if you cable to run a game.
And when I check the games, the problem always is the graphics.

Not because my graphics card are not big enough, I meet all the requirements, but is still says:
Suggested update: Unfortunately, your video card does not meet this requirement.

So my question is, if there is some sort of update I do or so?
    I've updated my drivers.

    I hope you can help!

    Hello

Because there is a big difference between s computer laptop and desktop PC, design the graphics chip is not extensible.
In most cases, the GPU is a part of the motherboard and not removable.
But even if the GPU should be plugged only, the other GPU would not work and that it would not compatible.

So if you are a heavy gamer, its always better to have an office for the games because the desktop PC are more easily extensible and all parts such as GPU, CPU, motherboard, even can be improved.

Upgradable portable parts are: memory, HARD drive and in some very rare cases of the CPU.

  • G505s not start after AMD Radeon HD 7640 G + R5 M200 double put graphic updated

Hi, I have a Lenovo G505s currently running on 10 to win. This weekend, the computer received an automatic update (Windows update) for the AMD Radeon HD 7640 G + R5 M200 Dual Graphics. After this update, the computer does not, with the result a blue screen. I start safe mode, install a driver, and on the next reboot, the system starts. But then, to start the automatic update of windows install the new driver again and the computer stops and cannot be started. A hint anyone?

    Thanks in advance.

Good day and welcome to the community.

    Sorry, you have any questions.
In your case, you may need to disable the ability of Windows 10 update the drivers for hardware devices.

If you want to explore this, see: http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/stop-automatic-driver-updates-windows-10

The dialog box has changed a bit after update 1511 (10586), but the process of getting it remains the same, and updates the driver through WU Win10 are stuck for me. I've updated one of my Win10 machines for the update of the anniversary and it apears that things are maintained.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards.

  • T420 graphics update

    Hi guys,.

I am interested in the development of 3D models and animation using Maya as well as delve into the design of games using Unity 3D. I already had licenses for the two programs installed on my T420.

However, Maya tells me that my graphical output is not sufficient to run some things. So I did some digging on the Internet and learned that the T420 lacks a slot for graphics card and only uses the GPU chip on the motherboard.

I know that I can increase my RAM by adding a 4 GB key as well as speed up my hard drive by exchanging it for a faster SSD drive.

I was wondering if there is anything I can do to improve my shading machine.

    Please let me know?

    Thank you!

It is a problem common in many users.

There are interesting upgrades with HDD SSD, RAM, CPU, screen, etc, but also since the GPU Nvidia NV4200 card is integrated - SODA COMPONENT (as I am informed) - in the T420, there is little or nothing to do. You will find a few users to talk eGPU as a solution, but in my case, my opinion is that it becomes royalty and practically it lead to many components external HW, at a voltage higher, several of them with parts of office, and it becomes impractical, as equipment kit is not a type of laptop.

Miserably, in the way that you adopt the updates for your laptop T420, the GPU becomes the BottleNecking, hard to enlarge.

In any case, I hope that the community is able to add more comments...

  • Update of waveform outside under VI

    Hello

I have a fairly complex (for me!) program with several sub VI, pressure measurement loop calls main VI a VI void is a while, each value is plotted on the graph of the waveform is measured in real time. I want to display this graph in real time in the main VI. However the table of waveform in the VI main shows only the last delivered value of sub VI after the sub VI has finished its execution of the loop.

Is there a way to configure the waveform table in primary VI to only show data in real time to know duplicate what the table VI of void?

    Thank you

    It seems simple enough.

Refer to the map of waveform control (by right-clicking on the graph > Create > reference) and place it in the main VI Subvi. The sub VI must have a point of order of the same type. Within the Subvi, you can update data using a property node. If you want to update the chart in each iteration of the loop, use the node property inside the loop.

  • Prevents the graphic update/scrolling

    Hello

I have a VI where periodically I have to prevent the permanent table scroll. The scroll rate is excessively high and I can't seem to stop or slow down at least. Currently the graphic entrance is connected to a business structure that allows to choose between acquiring data or by using a default value. Using the event structure is not possible that the section is incorporated in a while loop and a part of a larger application.

  • Import the graphic image of waveform

    Hello

I would like to import a waveform saved in a format (PNG or JPEG) image and display them in the waveform graph. I checked with the property node 'images of conspiracy', but I cannot specify the path of the image using this property node as in my case, the image is modified with different experiences to compare the two waveforms (a wave is in the format of the image and the other comes from an instrument of the oscilloscope). Could someone please suggest how I could do.

    Best regards

    Julien

The entry for this property node is an image, not a file.  Use playback JPEG File.vi under graphics and sound to open the file, then draw flatten Pixmap to transform the image data, a photo.
