HP 309 has: HP309a paper tray

The printer reported a paper jam that does not exist.  When I removed the top of the tray paper (the part that you would use to load photo paper, it seems that the inside of the separate part of the status bar itself.)  To explain better, which, according to me, used to be in the door-photo is now a flat sheet with what looks like a bunch of gear tooth flat on the right and the adjustment of paper size for the photo on the left paper.  It is now separated from the box that use to contain.

How can I get this back together?  The unit will not work until this tray is installed properly.

Help!

I solved the problem and your reference document has helped.  Thank you.  My problem was that the inside of the photo paper tray came out of the slot.  I managed to horse it back and finally got things working again.  Thanks for the help.

  • PCL5 printing codes to turn off paper tray switching when the tray is in the paper

We have a HP P4015n with 3 trays, tray we letterhead, tray 2 has plain paper, tray 3 preprinted forms (all dimensions 8.5 "x 11" paper ").  This is related to a Linux system with printing from a legacy software - they are mainly text documents that have integrated the PCL control codes.

The problem, when a drawer is empty, print will continue to the next state bar, which can have a header of letter or preprinted form, etc.

Can I turn off automatic tray switching?  Either using a code printer PCL or via the printer control panel?

If I print on tray 3, this tray is empty, I want the printer to wait until the tray has paper once again and do not use a different tray.

I played a bit with the 'document type' (letterhead, pre-printed form, etc.) setting found on the built-in printer web page, but when I send a job there, the printer needs someone to hit the 'OK' on the printer. I guess that the printer is looking for the paper incorporated in the corresponding document type.  Is there a print PCL code for that?

I have done research on PCL5 printer control codes and can not find, or another command.

On the other hand moving up to the next plateau, depends on the printer.  Some let not work continue to the next bar if the paper type is defined differently, but it is more common that the printer will just continue.  The only solution I have found is when big jobs you know will exceed capacity of the tray should just make sure that the right paper is in all stores.  The other thing is too, to keep the full trays (just make sure to put the fresh paper under the paper that is in the status bar to reduce interference issues).

I am including the link to the history of PCL/PJL because inside under the additional Documentation, it links to PDFs of the technical manuals detailing everything that you could ever want to know about hand coding for printing using these languages:

  • Problems with the operation of the Second paper tray - HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more

I just bought a second paper cartridge for my HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more. It shows up on my printer paper tray 2.  However, I can't understand how to go between the paper trays to get items to print from the individual trays.  A choice should not result when I click on PRINT?  Or if I should not be able to set up a default tray for printing on letter size, but be able to change in the other side, when I want to print an envelope?

I will be happy to help you with this problem.

The 2nd test is an accessory. It is not downloaded in the drivers. You will need to do the 2nd tray DEFAULT tray for stationery. Go to your settings on the printer. Choose Preferences and go to the default tray.

The envelopes and any other type of paper in addition to the letter will be put in TRAY 1.

    Hi Greg,.

At present, the 8600 does not support this feature of Microsoft. Unfortunately, there is no work around. You must manually select tray 2:

1 Ctrl + p to open the print dialog window.

2 Select the printer of desire and click the preference.

    3. go tab paper/quality, then select "Tray 2" on the decline of the Source of the paper in the menu dropdown.

Once solve us the problem of Fax, we will be able to adjust your print settings to confirm that your printer is configured to print on the correct paper and with appropriate support tray.

  • HP Officejet Pro - second paper tray 8600

My Officejet Pro 8500 Premium printer no longer works. Bought a new printer Officejet Pro 8600, the basic version. Is it possible to reuse the 8500 second tray paper on my new printer?

I can't say with certainty, but a couple of data points suggest 'no ':

    • The part number for the 8600 Officejet and Officejet 8500 extra paper tray are different.  The Officejet 8600 extra paper tray is the CN548A, the 8500 is CM759A.

  • Dell 2155CDN paper tray empty error

    Hi Dell Community

We have a 2 month old Dell 2155CDN laser color (with numbers) running in a Mac OSX Australian Government environment.

The printer intermittently but continually reports paper tray empty in the printer driver and does not print documents.  Restart the printer sometimes but not always solve the problem.  Open and close the paper trays sometimes but not always to solve the problem.

Contact the support of Dell in Australia is an exercise in frustration and futility, having been informed variously that:

-they are "too busy, please call back another time" (Yes, really)

-Should be a diagnosis online, for which we would be charged from the start

-the waiting queue was at least 15 minutes

    - and al.

I would be interested to know if anyone has come across this error in the past, and what measures have been taken to solve it.

I'd also be interested to hear about the general experience Dell support.  It's the first Dell, we bought fleet, and I am just considering decommissioning and it if we can get support when needed.

    Concerning

    Anthony Friday

Chief Executive Officer, of the regional Council of Pilbara

    Australia

    .

I had a similar problem, but in my case, that the documents were printing, the printer just kept Dell have reported it was paper when he was not really and seemed impression as long as one minute late.

I found this online solution: put a piece of paper in the multipurpose tray and then print on the printer to the Mac (s). We can then remove the paper (if it has not been used for printing), and the message of paper goes. Apparently this ferry reports out-of-paper for Macs, even if for the most part - it SHOULD be in paper. Once you put a piece of paper in it, even temporarily, he clears this flag of error and the driver is no longer reported it.

As I said, it's different than what you reported, but it could still work.

Another thought would be that the software is printing of your staff is failing to set this product, rather than the main paper tray.

The extent of Dell Support will - I worked with them for over 8 years, and generally they have been remarkable, especially compared to some other manufacturers. I suspect, however, given their current financial restructuring and corporate, that all their departments are missing right now. I know they have completely restructured their commercial service here in the States, and I can only assume the same for their support and operations around the world.

I asked a sales quotation for some new equipment more than an hour ago and have not heard of my new sales team yet. My old Rep Sales would answer in a few minutes. It could be an isolated incident but...

I am concerned by ongoing support for their printers, since they have publicly stated that they are planning to leave all but the server, network, and storage markets. Because they provided quality and good value and at least for me, had a low failure rate, I was buying their printers for a little more than three years now.

  • problem of 8600 printer install paper tray

I've been reloading the paper tray and impossible to insert the tray into the printer.  Out of the printer, it sticks about six inches.  Can't see anything blocking it and the paper is inserted correctly.

    Hello AJayR,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see you have a problem with the paper tray goes all the way back into the printer.

I suggest that you take a look at the sliders on the paper tray and the printer to make sure that nothing has caused a blockage and if it is clear and the tray still won't, the next step would be to call HP Total Care.

I suggest to call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you if you can not always get the tray in the printer. This could be a hardware problem with the printer. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

  • 7410 no option to select the upper/lower case paper tray

Problem solved!  By chance, I stumbled on the solution of the problem in another HP forum.  There is something lacking in the register, and when you add a key word, the issue is resolved immediately.

I found the solution below Resource Center Forums > multifunction, copier, fax & > multifunction color, then the thread titled paper tray Officejct 7410 by default (as of February 4, 2006).  When I added the registry HPDJEnableSecondTray key as Marshall has suggested, it solved the problem.  As also noted, it seems to be a bug in the software when you reinstall.

I got lucky stumble on this solution after a few searches on Google and write here for anyone else having a hard time to find.

  • HP business inkjet 1100dtn how choose the paper tray + stop printing calib random pages.

Hello. After I finally got my 9 year old HP business inkjet 1100dtn to start printing with 8 years, print heads who threw coward (printer output) for the past 2 years last night, progress post it here:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/Ink-toner-cartridge-printhead/HP-business-inkjet-1100dtn-first-wouldn-t...

Now I wonder how I can choose which paper tray to print from. Since I use Windows 7 and you must use the driver for hp business inkjet 1000, I guess that the problem here? Someone else you have a solution or better another driver which works better?

In addition, the printer keeps print calibration pages after each printing I do. The print quality is still not 100%, if only he keeps trying to calibrate because the calibrationpage it prints is of too poor quality?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Ben of the Norway.

I tried the driver for the Microsoft 1200dtn instead of the 1000dtn that HP has suggested. Now everything works. Duplex, tray selection, etc. Good times. :-D

  • HP Photosmart C4680 paper tray Extender

    Hello

I shot to the top of the paper tray Extender. Now I don't know how to close the paper tray Extender. Does anyone know how? I don't want to break the printer.

The extension of the tray seems to catch something inside the paper tray.

I guess I'm happy for anyone who gets their equipment replaced under warranty, but this seems a pretty silly way to address a minor problem of machanical with a functional device otherwise.

Here's what I did to solve the problem with my C4780 off-warranty:

Find a light and rigid tool which is longer than the distance between the left edge of the extension of the tray and the left edge of the paper tray. (I used a knife to... not very safe bread.)

The tool must be long enough to reach the edge of the inside of the tray Extender to paper.

Insert the tool into the ditch in the paper tray (where the Extender goes when it is closed) as close to the body of the printer as possible.

Press gently on the edge of the Extender that is in the paper tray.

The Extender should give a little. Now it is loose. Remove the tool and close the Extender.
