Printer and all functions work fine.  However, lately I sent a doc to print who just sits in the queue.  When I look at the printer by clicking on the tray icon I sde is offline.  So I turn the printer off and back to get it on the network.

I don't really have any options to change my home network and hope it is some of the printer which will avoid going offline like this, or a faster way so he can go online without turn off and on.

my continuous wireless printer going offline - how can I 'stabilize' the connection?

    Hello gerrie,.

What I would do is put off the printer and the router so

-essentially them turning off for about 10-15 seconds

-and then feed the router back on waiting for all the lights turn on completely

    - and after that is back in the market I would re - turn on the printer and re-establish the connection between the printer and wireless network

  • C7180 HP printer goes offline when it is connected with the wireless network

    Hello

I have a problem which seems to be common, but I can't find a solution simple 'step by step'.  So my apologies in advance for you who are technically much more advanced that I am and know that this has already been answered.

I have a sony vaio laptop running Windows 7.  At home, I have a printer all-in-one HP C7180 I connected wireless on my home network.  FYI, I have a netgear wireless router.

Once I have installed the printer on the network, everything works fine until I closed my computer.  On restarting, the printer is detected as offline by my laptop.  Now, my solution is to uninstall the printer and reinstall it.

If someone would be kind enough to give a detailed set of step by step instructions on how to solve this problem, it would be much appreciated.  I read on the definition of a static IP address rather than dynamic, but I would need one together instructions if this is indeed the way to go.

    Thank you.

Rich - desperate to finally solve this nuisance.

    Hi rich,

As you mentioned that the printer goes offline after a reboot, please refer to:

"Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the HP printer does not print

  • Error printer mechanism: the print cartridge cradle cannot move

HP Officejet Pro 8500 has 910g

The printer will not print: the message is: error printer mechanism: the print cartridge cradle cannot move.  Without the cradle of the cartridge and press ok.

How free the cradle of the cartridge?  I sent a message to 13:30 and I got a notice that they will contact me within the hour, he is now almost 19:00 and nobody sent me back.  Help

Try the steps in this troubleshooting page.

  • mechanism error print cartridge cannot move. C3180 all in one

It will not be printed.  I got this error

mechanism error print cartridge cannot move.  Turn the printer off.  Free cradle of cartridge.  I checked the cradle.  He moves very well.  The only way I can get the red light to go on top of the computer is to disconnect the two cords for 30 seconds and reconnect.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software from the disc that came with it.

In desperation, I tried anything that might help - checked for paper jams, changed two inks, processed on.  Restarted the computer.   A prayed and begged for it to print.  Nothing has worked.  My computer was purchased in 2007.   Maybe it of just old and has mechanical problems.  I don't have the time to go printer hunting this weekend and want to print something today.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be very happy.

    Thank you.

Reset the printer - turn off, remove power from the back of the printer (not the wall), wait 5 minutes, plug back in and turn on.

Indeed, it may be stuck and dead, but it's really the only thing you can do to get it back.

Thank you!

    Hi @JNBLanocha

My stomach says mt that perhaps you have the printer USB cable connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer instead of a 2.0 port. The image below is some examples of 3.0 ports.

3.0 ports are supposed to be backwards compatible, but I've seen questions arise.

    I wonder if the cable you are using is the computer and causing problems pulling power. All I can do at this stage is to assume and to gather information. Please post back with the answers to the following questions;

    1. You have a USB connection
    2. If the USB is connected, you use a 2.0 port or 3.0?
    3. Again, if you use a USB connection type, have you tried another USB cable? It could be a cable problem.
    4. You put XP or you remove XP and install Windows 7?
    5. You have your printer connected directly to a power outlet, or you are using a power strip/bar, or a surge protector?
    6. Now this may sound silly, but you have a timer on your computer, such as the hibernate after so many minutes and maybe the computer and the printer are set at the same, it is possible the moment closures / sleep coincide.

I look forward to hear from you and to work towards a solution.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630: Test Print "error - printing".

    Hello

I have problems printing in the main printer in my office, the HP Officejet Pro 8630. Some work colleagues print to this printer without problem, and others have gave up on it as well. I have no printing problem with HP Officejet Pro 8600 to an office close to home.

I have finally connected to this printer manually, using its IP address, because it does not appear in the search "add a printer". When I try to do a test print, in the print queue of the printer window, it shows its status as 'Impression' for a brief moment before changing to "error - printing".

Honestly I don't know what else to do without disturbing the few people who are successfully using this printer. I hate my work colleague whenever I need to use their printer bug.

    Hi @klewald,

I want to help you with printing problems you encounter. I understand that you can not print, but your colleagues can. I am convinced that I will be able to help you find a solution, and I ask only that pay you it forward. When address us the issue, I would you kindly mark the appropriate post as accept as Solution so that others have the same or similar problem can find what worked for you.

In my opinion, the best approach is to start to run printing HP and doctor Scan because if it does not solve the problem, he could at least help to identify the root cause and point us in the right direction.

Printing HP and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly solve common printing, scanning and connectivity problems, including but not limited to:

Ah, also printer is off and the laptop and turned back on!

Any other suggestions welcome! Thank you

Would like to say that this has been resolved by reference to the solution posted by error-printing-restart: all to the bottom out of power leads to laptop and main market (while the laptop is turned on), count 15 seconds and reinsert the power leads to decision-making and the printer. • I can print Microsoft Word and Excel documents, but I am not able to print from the web. I get an error message that says: "Activation - Code 20' - error"Printer Not Activated".

    Activate printer F4580

I run Microsoft Vista.  I have a printer HP F4580.  I can print Microsoft Word and Excel documents, but I am not able to print from the web.  I get an error message that says: "Activation - Code 20' - error"Printer Not Activated".  What should I do to correct this?

    Hello

    ·          What browser do you use to connect to the Internet?

The error may occur if the wrong printer is set as default, the printer driver printer is missing, or if there are conflicts in Device Manager.

Step 1: Make sure that the desired printer is set as the default printer:

I tried to print in IE and Foxfire with the same result.

    Thanks for help.

    Shane,

Thank you for the diagnosis. I have no idea what happened, but with 0 error messages, he said all checks OK and ran a "test print" OK. From there, he works in all applications. Thank you very much.

  • HP Officejet j5750 error print saying "on paper" but it is not

HP Officejet j5750 error print saying "on paper" but it is not, there 20 sheets. I remove and replace the paper and press OK and the same error.

Typically when you get an error "on paper", the rollers slide and need to be cleaned.  The document below should help you work through the problem.  If this does not work, you will need to replace the printer.

"Out of paper" Error Message is displayed and the product is not look upward or feeding of the paper:

  • HPLaserJetP1102W "error-Printing" message "

    I can't print with my printer HPLaserJetP1102W.

When I try to print there is no answer.  The printer does not turn on as before.

When I check in the print queue, the document appears as "error - printing".

I'm able to turn on the printer manually, but even when I do this it does not print.

I checked the cable from the printer to the computer and it was fine.  I even disconnected the two ends and reconnected it to confirm this.

I ran the HP diagnostics and it didn't come with anything upwards.

You can provide any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Shane, thank you very much for your answer.  I'm using Windows 7 OS.  I am able to print now.  My choice of automatic printer on the list was "HP LaserJetP1102W" who was always on display by mistake.  I noticed that there was another choice on the list of ' LaserJetP1102W HP (copy 1) "."   When I chose this option, he said that it was 'ready', and I was able to print with it since.

    Thank you for your help.
