HP 4500 envy: photo printing

I bought a hp envy 4500 Saturday mainly for printing photos. I got some pictures already saved on my laptop and when I try to print out smaller as they should be, even if I set the size of 6 x 4 paper and size of the image. It seems to be the right size on the preview before printing but still comes out smaller.

Thank you very much

Ian

Hello

What software are you using to print? Please use HP Photo Creations (that came with your printer) to print.

  • 4500 HP Envy Photo printing problem - out with a look of sepia tone

    Hello

I recently installed a HP Envy 4500 printer and have problems printing of photos on my iPhone 5 (ios 7.1.2).

When I print from my camera pictures come out in a sepia tone color scheme.

I tried with 2 different pictures and the results were the same.

I printed from my PC and the color was on the spot.

A way to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Hello Talkoon,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that photos of the iPhone printing are not the same color scheme when the photo is printed from the computer.

Try printing the HP ePrint App photo and let me know what is the result.

  • HP 4500 Envy: Not print entirely on the image printed

I use HP 4 x 6 glossy paper. I loaded the paper correctly, (until I hear the click). When I choose to print 4 x 6, it prints only a portion of the paper not full-size.

I have selected to 'Fit', but then a part of the photo is not printing on paper, which means that one party gets cut.

I chose 'Full' again once a part of the photo is not print on paper, part gets cut.

Finally, I chose "Custom", but same results when I chose paper 4 x 6.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Hi @Leafy,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that your iPad is unable to locate your printer over your network.

I would like to start by turning off the printer and the iPad. Then disconnect the power from your router for about a minute. After the router was plugged devices and back on, try a test print.

  • 4500 envy: This printer is unavailable message

Will cause receiving message "this printer not available" when tent direct printing but nothing has changed since the last successful print job and only one single user. How can I get the printer to work?

-Very well, we just spread the problem to your network, as it does the same thing if bypass us the router. Next thing we will do is to see if you have the same problem with ePrint. To do:

    1. On the printer, click web services icon that looks like a tablet with a phone beside her.
    2. If the screen you now ask the web installation services then do.
    3. From your tablet, send an e-mail to the address of the printer that appears on the printer display.

If it prints normally, follow-up with ASUS will be your next step that the printer is fine. If you receive instead of a blank page, the problem is with the printer. We will try to update the firmware by clicking on the icon Web Services, press the button "-" next to settings and updates scroll and press OK.

Please let me know if you have any questions while following these directions and what happens after you complete these steps.

  • 4500 envy: how to print in black or grey only

Go to the devices folder and printers, right click on the 4500 Envy, select Printing Options, paper/quality, advanced, Options of the Document, print grayscale, black of ink only, OK, apply.

  • HP Envy 4500: HP Envy 4500 - photo print half off the page. Print very well.

All of a sudden, my HP Envy 4500 failed to print all the images; documents continue to print OK.  For photos, the printer acts like it's works fine to start, but print only about half of the photo on the paper - it seeks to print the rest on the back of the photo a lot of ink rollers...

Research forums, this is the EXACT problem I have:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/inkjet-printing/HP-envy-4500-prints-only-half-of-the-photo/TD-p/3781222

I have uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, try to print from a different computer, laptop and even tried what was suggested in the post above - to copy a picture of the scanner on the printer itself.  Who printed still only half of the picture...

The consensus from the link above was a hardware problem.  My printer is no longer under warranty, so unless there is another thing I can try I will buy a new printer.   This one isn't worth it for me to pay to ship somewhere to remedy.

Any last suggestions until I have this gift to local traffic (with a note that it only prints documents)?

  • Want to 4500 All in One Printer: Envy 4500 and Photo paper

Recently, I tried to use my 4500 want to print photographs, using HP Premium Plus Photo paper. Each attempted printing resulted in the printer telling me that there is a paper jam. I would open it upwards, remove the paper (which has never been really stuck - just looks like he started getting into the printer and stopped) and try again... Paper jam. I don't have the paper in the tray - went out my plain paper. I am able to print correctly on plain paper, but it won't take photo paper. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Looks like there could be a problem with the rolls of paper, print settings, or the paper tray.

Please work your way through this guide to see if you can solve the problem, a 'Paper jam' error on HP ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one HP Deskjet Ink Advantage e-all-in-one 3540 Printer series.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

You have a photo that you can try to make a copy of, as a test? It would be to help eliminate the printing as the cause.

Please make sure that the paper type/quality settings are correct, for more information, please see this guide. HP ENVY 4500, printer Deskjet 3540 - change the Mac OS X print settings.

In addition, if you have access to a Windows computer running Windows 8.1 or earlier, it is an update of the firmware available for your printer. HP Envy 4500 series firmware upgrade to improve the performance of the printer.

  • HP Envy 4500 series: print 'Photo printing without borders' and 'best quality '.

Problem: It only prints in the borderless Photo printing option.

Text in black it prints appears in gray.

It prints only in quality adjustment 'Best '.

The test (after cleaning the print head) page shows the 6 colored rectangles but no black text.

I cleaned the print head, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the software.

The cartridges are NOT original HP cartridges.

    Of course, color works fine.

I replaced the black cartridge with a new one, twice.

I can buy a new printer for the price of these replacement cartridges.

Should I worry about trying to fix this problem or should I throw it out the window?

In the here document troubleshooting steps can help solve the black print is not on your printer 4500 desires.  Note that when printing in paper mode Photo black cartrdige is not used because the black pigmented ink is not compatible with photo paper.  If the photo paper is selected the pritner will use color ink to print in black.

My guess would be that you have a black cartridge faulty, not unusual for third party cartridges *.  You can try to mop up the printhead on a damp cloth.  A good cartridge would have a strong black ink spot.  You may be able to recover the cartridge by soaking the print head in warm water, nozzles down to the 1 "of water for about ten minutes.  After soaking, dry the electrical contacts and reinsert into the printer.

  • HP Envy 4504: Envy 4504 photo prints too red with print quality = better

    Hello

    I hope someone can help.

On my HP Envy 4504 photos are printed OK print normal quality, but when the print quality is set to best photos are printed to the red. In addition, with DPI Maximum printing photos are much too red.

This takes place two times printed on paper Normal and on Photo paper

With the GIMP, I tried to make an example of how a photoprint looks like.

I made the example by changing the color Balance: Red cyan - about + 40:

    (my GIMP is Dutch...)

    Here is the result:

LEFT: Photo printed in normal quality; Photo on the RIGHT printed in better quality:

I have already completely remove the software HP Envy and did a clean reinstall. No change.

I have print-head - cleaning cycles (2 times); color of HP-testprint strips looks very good: all are strong in alignment is correct

Unfortunately: No picture change in best quality still too red.

    The ink levels are okay.

Any suggestions what is wrong and what can solve this problem?

    Thank you for your support
