My HP Color Laserjet M476nw MFP made a crowing noise when printing envelopes.  Require lubrication?

If you use non HP / recycled / fill the ink cartridges, then the first step that I would say is to replace these cartridges a genuine HP toner cartridges.

If not the toner cartridge, then it would be one of the components of hardware printer that is at issue, where a Tech HP may need to perform a physical inspection of the aircraft and the error condition.

    Try to install the following package to make sure that your drivers are perfectly up-to-date:

    Then restart your Mac and try to scan the image.

    If the same persisnts open the JSCA-Packard folder and move the HP scanning application to the trash.

    Then install the HP Easy Scan app instead (which is the latest version of HP scanning):

    https://iTunes.Apple.com/us/app/HP-easy-scan/id967004861?MT=12

    Now try scanning using the application and check for the difference.

    I am now unable to print wireless from my laptop computer on our home network printer after upgrade Windows 8 to 10 of Windows. Now, everything that I try to print from Microsoft Word by default OneNote 2016. Indeed, original default printer HP Color Lasejet MFP M476nw, do not even appear in Word as an option. The printer is, however, listed under printers and Scanners in the settings, even if it is registered with the statement "Driver is not available." I'll be very grateful for any help to solve this problem if things will run as well as they did before the upgrade. Thank you, in advance, for helping me out this jam.

  • M476nw: Color LaserJet MFP M476nw Fax Test failed

    I bought a new LaserJet M476nw, but my fax test fails each time through the configuration laserjet and HP utility software.  The Laserjet Printer is connected on a network and using Vista.

    I have a dedicated fax line that is connected into the socket on the icon with the socket at the rear of the laserjet printer.   I can hear the tone on the fax line when it is connected to a phone.   I called the fax line and it's normally rings and no response.   I also tried to connect a phone to the phone laserjet icon, while the fax line is connected to the laserJet printer, I hear the tone of the phone.

    I don't know what I have to do to get the fax test to pass, so I can start fax on this machine.  Any suggestion is appreciated.

    In fact, this problem is now solved.

    It's a whole new machine, so since I didn't really have all the data I did a restore to return by default.  It restarts and now he spends.

    I just installed the software for the MFP476nw. When I scan a page 8.5 by 11, it scans it on a larger size which must be grown before the Save as pdf. This creates a lot of work for a large document when you need to crop each page before saving. What is the best way to scan the page 8.5 by 11 to the same size of paper to PDF using the MFP475nw?

    Of course, on Mac, you can use the HP scanning software, located under Applications > Hewlett-Packard.

    Once by clicking new scan you need to click on the button to view the details and change the scan to letter size.

    Altervative another is to scan using the tools of OS like Apple Preview, Capture of Image or screen breeders & Scanners.

    Remember undeck the option custom size in the scan settings, and then select the LETTER size.

    Help, please!

    I tried for days to get the scan to E-mail feautre to work and continue to get an error "Cannot resolve the SMTP server". I tried to use both @gmail.com and addresses @hotmail.com as a result of indications on each single post, that I could find related to this topic on the forums of HP, making sure to try every possible combination of SMTP/SSL/Port according to the parameters indicated by each email provider (including this special setting "app not secure", that I need to activate it for Gmail) and NOTHING.

    I use the web server HPs to set up the configuration.

    I'm desperate and start a new post on the forums is my last resource before you put this printer to sleep.

  • Color LaserJet MFP M477fdn Pro: M477 Software Installation fails at 99%

    Like others who have posted here, I have been unable to get the printer software to complete the installation. The printer is a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdn, 3 months. I'm trying to install the software on a new workstation HP Z240 performing Windows 10 (64-bit). The connection is via USB cable. The printer and the software have been previously used with a Windows 7 machine without problem.

    I tried, repeatedly, to install the software from the disc supplied with the printer and also a 126.6 mb download HP Color LaserJet MFP printer M477 Pro series full software and drivers. The results are the same with a source - installation apparently progresses up to connect it the indicator product of progression from screen reached 99%, how it gives an error message "a Setup operation took too long to run. It is a fatal error, preventing the use of the product. Restart your computer and run this installer again. If the problem persists, please visit the web site of product support for your product. "It takes about 20 minutes for the phase of installation to go from 0 to 99%, and then later hooked up to 99% for 2-5 minutes, the error message is displayed.

    I am able to print to this printer, but at least do not have the ability to scan from the computer there is no indication that the I.R.I.S. OCR software is installed.

    I have updated the firmware of the printer to the 20160331 version.

    Printed printer configuration report will not display any errors, nor that the printer itself indicates something is wrong and confirms the update of the firmware.

    I deselected the optional software, the devices experience HP and I.R.I.S. OCR, trying to install only the required files two more program scanning HP.

    I think I understood the question, 10 windows installs its own driver, and the installation program expects the hp driver to install.

    DO this FOR THE HP INSTALLER PROCESS (when the percentage meter goes)

    1. go into the Device Manager and find the printer in the list of devices

    2. right click on the printer and select "Update Driver software"

    3. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".

    4. choose "Let Me pick one...» »

    5. Select the named driver: HP Color LaserJet MFP M477 PCL-6 Pro (make sure it's one with a dash between the pcl and 6!)

    6. click next and back to the installation of hp box and must now see the printer and continue the installation.

    When I'm trying to 'print the information sheet', for example, the printer is not able to connect (stay on 'Sign in' loop indefinitely).

    My printer is less than a Vodafone EasyBox router, with firewall disabled and no specific barriers defined by me.

    Should I set some port forwarding (even if they should apply to ignore the firewall, when turned on) or any other specific configuration in the router?

    To enable Web Services fumctionality, you'll need to install the latest firmware on your printer (version 20160525)

    You can locate the current version of your printer by selecting configuration > reports > Page of Configuration, the firmware version is listed under the information section on the printer.

    Updated the firmware on Linux by following these steps, but I don't know if the latest firmware is available for Linux or not, try:

    If the latest firmware is not available for linux, temporarily install the printer on a Windows PC or a my and install the latest firmware:

    Turn off IPv6 on the printer.

    Go to configuration, network configuration, network, IPv6 Services and turn it off.

    This DNS works better for Laserjet printers. Please change the settings to see if this will help the printer built-in Web server.

    Preferred DNS address: 209.244.0.3
    Auxiliary DNS address: 209.244.0.4

    Power cycle the printer.

    If you still have questions, please continue with the following steps:

    Update the firmware of the printer by a USB connection. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP Firmware update M177fw.

    Configure a static IP address for the printer. Proceed to Solution 3: printer of the assign a static IP address.

    I understand that there is no drivers for your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw on Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra. I am pleased to see that for you!

    You are right that there are currently no drivers available at this time. In the meantime, I suggest trying the rest of this guide, of install a printer Mac driver by using Apple Software Updateand then try using the Apple Image Capture.

    Otherwise, all we can do is wait for the drivers and software provision, or plan to use an older version of Mac OS X.
