HP Deskjet 970cxi

Hello

The possibility to align the printcardridges does not appear in my anymoren interview.

The only available service is the cleaning of the printercartridges.

How do I align the printcartridges or what program should I install in order to align again?

I tried to solve the problem with 2 PC'x.

With windows XP and with windows 7.

With two printers, I always "dimmed" samen printing problem

Thanks in advance.

Best regards, Bernard

The Deskjet 970 has an automatic cartridge alignment built in.  The cartridge aligns automatically when a new cartridge is inserted.  I think that you can also force an alignment as follows: put on the pritner and wait for the green light.  Press in and hold the power button.  Holding down the power button press and release the button to jump to page three times quickly.  Then release the power button.  At this point, an alignment page will print.  For alignment succeed black and color cartridges should print correctly.

  • HP Deskjet 970Cxi: HP printers - install another driver in Windows 7 to print USB connection cable - PROBLEM

    Hi - I have a HP Elitebook6930P running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and a printer HP Deskjet 970Cxi with a USB connection.

I try to get printing to work.

There is a 970Cxi pilot in the laptop, but it won't work.

HP have a support document - "HP printers - installing year Alternate Print Driver in Windows 7 for a USB connection cable" - and I tried to follow this exactly a number of times without success.

The problem is that it is inaccurate and contains instructions that do not work and refers to procedures that do not exist in Windows 7.

Therefore, I have no success in the conclusion. I can not communicate with HP for assistance, or no explanation as to why their document will not so blatant.

    Can anyone help please?

  • DeskJet 970Cxi: Deskjet970Cxi prints only one color

My Deskjet 970Cxi prints only red in the color mode.  The cartridge is new and everything is cleaned.

When the cover is open, the pointer on the cartridge holder stops at the position "OK to print cartridges".

I tried reinstalling the driver, but I don't know that I managed to do that.  I got the idea that HP doesen't supports this printer more they told me to use the driver that is built into the software to my Windows 7.

    Any clue?

The question is probably a very old #78 cartridge, even though it was new in the box.  You can verify that this is the cartridge by gently dabbing the printhead on a damp cloth.  A working cartridge will have a strong task of cyan, magenta and yellow.  Your cartridge will show only magenta.

You can check the date of end of warranty for the cartridge as shown in the document here.  So that the 78 cartridge has not any expiry as such that they may not print in one color if stored for an extended period.  There are a few "home remedy" measures that could be taken to recover printing cyan and yellow, but the best solution would be to get a new cartridge (fees).  You can find the end of warranty date (two years from the date of production) in the bottom right of the back side of the packaging unopened.

If you want to retrieve the cartridge, you can try one or more of the following:

    • Treatment of the cup of tea: get a glass of water and put in 1 "more or less very hot (but not boiling) water.   Deposit of the cartridge into the Cup and let soak for about 10 minutes.  Then, take the cartridge out and Pat the nozzles on a wet tissue.  Wipe the contacts with a clean or similar coffee filter not fluffy.  Install the cartridge in the printer and print a test page.  (You can print a hardware test page in accordance with method 4 of the document here.)
    • Sock of treatment: get an old sock that bothers you not ruin.  Put a wet cloth against the nozzles, then put the combination in the sock with the nozzle pointing in the toe.  Now go outdoors to an open area and quickly swing the autour sock in a large circle for a minute or two.  When done remove the cartrdige and gently pat dry the nozzles on a wet cloth, then put it in a printer and see if things have recovered.

[Did I mention the best bet is to get a new cartridge?]  ]

  • Fix the size of the file most recent driver DeskJet 970cxi full features for Windows XP 32-bit

    Gentlepersons!

I went to the HP Support pages to download the driver of long (970 - enu - xp.exe) for the Deskjet 970cxi printer.

I clicked on the "Download" button and a download of (according to the Firefox download utility) unknown file size has begun. He ended 402KO later. Obviously this isn't the correct file for such a file size, so I refreshed the page and tried again. This time the download stopped at 7.69 MB. It's a little better that way, but I still don't know if it's the full correct size for this file because HP has not seen fit to provide these data with the download.

Other sites offering drivers have the map file size, so could someone please tell me what should be the appropriate size of file. If this isn't 7.69 MB, where can I download the driver full, correct?

    Your interest is appreciated!

  • DeskJet 970Cxi impressions eject does not correctly

He pushes paper most of the exit door, so that the printer considers that it has finished and starts printing the next sheet.  But sheet n ° 1 is not far enough to lie flat on the output tray, so something in the works mechanical grabs the back of it and snarls to the top of the next sheet as well.  And so on, so I have to look at the printer like a Hawk and whisk every leaf there at the right time precisely.

I hear fairly well with mechanical things and feel that it should be simple to put it right, if only I could observe.  But everything happens too fast, in more of course, it will not be printed with the cover open.  The only clue I can see is that the main action of the spin is on one side.

Everything by moving the printer a year or two before, I made the mistake of putting on his side briefly.  It is the only cause I can think of, although it doesn't seem to affect his performance (once I had cleaned the ink off everything!).  Recently started paper supply problem.

I bought a new printer to use when I need high quality images, as I work with them and need the settings that the printer Deskjet does not more (as I now have Vista).  But I do a lot of writing too and hoped to operate using my Deskjet nice, reliable as a workhorse for the text (and images of basic, every day).

  • Deskjet 970cxi in W7 install

    Hello

the suite en updated my OS from Vista to W7 32 bit, I was not able to use my printer. The driver should be incorporated in W7, but next to the printer icon, a yellow triangle appears. Subsequent faultfinding does not improve. When I try to print a Word document, the print window opens and the program says printing but the printer window says 'error' and the printer does not respond. Once a test page was correctly printed. It seems to me that if the operating system cannot find the printer, which has always worked very well. I tried the HP troubleshooting procedure, but without success.  If we need more information, I'll upload it. I would appreciate your help.

    Hi Hanstead,

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, it is good to use the other pilot.  In the standard, I find that it seems that this driver is closely related to the driver for the printer and will offer the same features, but sometimes another driver may not produce the same results accurate as the specific driver of the model.  This should not be a problem, but I wanted to make sure that the possibility was communicated.  What the doctor printing and scanning indicate to the driver in an error state?  For this printer, the operating system is designed to find the best driver of this printer when you plug in the device.  If you are satisfied with the print quality and the functionality of the driver replacing, so it would be nice to use the other pilot and delete the other.

    I hope this helps!

  • printing cyan only

My Deskjet 970CXI only prints in cyan and not black.

I tried all the solutions opted in this forum (cleaning, reset) but nothing helps.

The print of the testpage is perfect, cyan and black.

The probable cause is a cartridge empty or faulty #78.  If you print with the selected photo paper (or with the automatic paper type settings, and the paper is detected as photo) the black cartridge is not used and the printer will try to brand black using cyan, yellow and magenta.

If you are printing text with the chosen paper the printer should print correctly in black.

  • Printer-B109n-z - custom print blue ink

IM reluctant to buy new cartridges as these is all levels of 100% brand new and the poster.

Ive run the 'clean' printheads twice and printed a test page - its only blue that does not at all appear.

Ive had only a year ago (can't find my info of mandate) and have never used genuine HP stuff...

My HP printers last two were brilliant - and had for 5-7 years each, the most recent is the deskjet 970cxi professional and always have this spare part.  With this printer its summer of all the hassles, even the paper is driven in, 2-10 sheets at a time.

In any case, the Blue cartridge is wet and not a ink on the stamp - so Ive no idea what to do next.

    Hello

Have you tried to check that the cartridge is properly ventilated? You mentioned "the cartridge is wet and has the ink on the stamp" - seems to be a leak? If so, you will need to contact the HP support by phone for a replacement.

  • T400 Windows 7 64 bit can't find printer driver

    Hi all

Maybe someone can help with this confusing problem. Just bought the T400 w/Win 7 64-bit on the Lenovo Web site. That's great, except for one thing.

I have a ThinkPad T22 of Win2k on the network with a port parallel printer HP laserjet 6L and a port USB HP DeskJet 970cxi. When I go to add a printer to the T400, Win7 search on the network and detects printers. For the 6 L have downloaded a driver and it works fine. For the 970cxi, he tries to find a driver MS website but can not find a driver.

When I connect the970cxi printer directly to a USB port on the T400 Win7 it finds a driver and it works fine. But not on the network? Even after he found a pilot when it was connected locally?

The network is a Linux Debian machine that can print on both printers. I turned on printer sharing on this topic. The T400 can find printers in the Linux box and print 6L and 970cxi.

I loaded VirtualBox on the T400 and then install Ubuntu Linux. The Ubunu Linux can find printers and print at the same time.

Nobody knows what the hell is going on here? Why the T400 can not find a driver for the 970cxi printer, but when it is connected directly that he finds the printer driver and works?

Is this a problem with Win7 64 bit?

    No driver available?

    Communication w/printer problem?

Buy a new printer and throw a printer perfectly well?

    Thank you

    Rich

I did as you suggested but now get a different error: 0 x 00000214

I googled this and found others with the same problem. I tried the solution and it worked!

    Here is the link:

    Problem network printer connection

In case the link is broken, I cut and pasted here:

    1. click on start, click on Control Panel and double click on devices and printers.
    2. click on add a printer.
    3. Select "add a local printer.
    4. Select create a new port ". Select "Local Port" as the port type.

    5. in the "Enter a port name" box, type the address in the following format.

\\Network address host computer\ [the share name of the printer

    And then click Next.

    6. choose the driver in the list of drivers. If no driver available, click the Windows Update button, wait the process finishes and then search for the driver again.
    7. complete the installation.

Thank you! Your suggection made me a mistake, that I could identify. And a solution. I hope others find this useful.

  • hp deskjet 990cse printer driver

I have an old HP Deskjet 990cse printer which needs a new driver.  I've recently updated for MacOS Sierra, and now the printer does not work.  I can't find an updated driver on the HP site.  Disappointment because the printer still works fine.

I managed to make it work.  I went into system preferences and deleted and then added the printer.  He now uses a generic driver.

  • Deskjet 710/720/810/820/1000 Series printers - Patch for 64 bit Vista and Windows 7

There is a problem with the 64-bit, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 or 8.1 drivers which causes the spooler crash with the following HP Deskjet printers:

    DeskJet 710

    DeskJet 712

    DeskJet 720

    DeskJet 722

    DeskJet 810

    DeskJet 812

    Deskjet 820

    DeskJet 822

    DeskJet 1000

The attachment contains a fix for this problem for Vista and Windows 7.

[The patch does not work for Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 x 64 systems.  There are efforts to this address, if a solution is developed it will be shown here.  [{Edit - I did not progress by getting the patch to run in Windows 8 x 64.}]

First of all make sure that the driver for the installed printer.  If the driver has not been installed go to start devices and printers, add printer, the local printer, choose the appropriate port (for the converters, USB-parallel, the port likely USB001: or maybe USB002 :), then click Windows Update then choose HP for the manufacturer and select the appropriate printer.)

Apply the patch as follows: log in to the computer with an administrator account.  Download the patch by clicking on this link or on the trombone at the end of this post.  Save the hotfix on your computer, then unzip it.  Then, copy the three DLL files in the following directory: %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3

Note that %windir%\System32 is a system variable that points to the location of the Windows directory. For most systems it will be C:\Windows.  You can click Start, computer, and type %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 in the address bar and it is in the right place.

This can be done from a DOS command prompt if BACK is opened with the "run as Administrator" command or to explore with a copy and paste.  Depending on your UAC settings, you may need to provide confirmation.  Also allow existing files to be replaced if you are prompted.

This patch is not necessary and should not be applied to a 32-bit version of Vista or Windows 7.

Thanks to extraordinary Microsoft engineer Alan Morris forguidelines for patch.

Update - here is that of the more detailed installation instructions:

Download the patch on the DJ_Patch.zip at the bottom of the page and save it on your computer.  Now click on the file and open it, and then extract the fix in a directory that is easy to find. (I use c:\temp. If this directory does not exist you can create it as follows: open the administrative BACK prompts by clicking Start, all programs, accessories, and then right-click on CMD. EXE and select run as administrator. Click in the DOS window, and then type the following command:

    MD c:\temp

    CD \temp

Now extract the patch files in the c:\temp directory (all, extract c:\temp chose as a destination).

[Update - Windows security settings can prevent these files from being used, please open computer, type c:\temp in the address bar and then right click on each of the dll files and select Properties.]  If there is a message indicating the properties file has been downloaded from the internet and can be blocked and then unlock the file before continuing.]

Then, click back to the administrative DOS prompt and type the following: (the green stuff are comments, do not type them...)

*. DLL DIR (just to check that the files are there, it should list hpvdb720.dll, hpvdb820.dll and hpwm5db1.dll and perhaps others).

Net stop spooler (ensures that the files are not in use.)

Copy hpvdb720.dll C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (this is for the Deskjet 710/712/720/722)

Copy hpvdb820.dll c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (this covers the Deskjet 820 and 822)

    Hpwm5db1.dll c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3(this covers the Deskjet 1000 copy)

    NET Start Spooler

    Output

[Edit - note that these DLL files will already be in the directory.  You will get a warning asking if it's OK to replace the files, say "Yes".]

At this point, the patch is installed and ready to print.

Note that here printers do not support USB connections, they have only the parallel ports. [Edit - if your printer has a parallel port to use, it will be probably much less problematic than the use of a converter USB / parallel].   If you use a make you converter USB / parallel it is supported in your operating system.  The following messages are reported by cables USB-parallel that are supposed to work in Windows 7.   A driver is required for the converter USB / parallel besides the driver of the printer.  For converters supported, it is usually provided automatically in Windows 7.  Note: the appropriate to select for USB-parallel converter port is often USB001:.  I've heard of cases where the port was USB002: or LPT3: as well.  If the port you are using is unable (after applying the fix) try to change the port by going to start, devices and printers, right-click on your printer and select printer properties, then click the Ports tab.

Mick4 wrote: the problem is that I only could unzip the 3 dll files but don't know how to replace the bad dll files. Mick 4

If you use Windows 7 do the following: log in as a user with the administrater properties.  [The following assumes that you are using IE as your browser] Click on the here link and select "Save".   Once the download is complete, select "Open folder", then right-click on the DJ_patch.zip file and select extract all.   If extract all is not an option, then click on "Open with" and select Windows Explorer.

Leave the default directory and check the box "Show extracted files when you are finished", excerpt.   Click Start, computer, and type % windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3.  Arrange the windows so that you can access the two parts of the window.  Go in the first pane and select the three files dll, hpvdb720.dll, hpvdb820.dll and hpwm5db1.dll.  Now drag and drop them to the % windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 window, select copy and answer to 'replace' in the dialog box.

Note: %windir%\System32 is a system variable that points to the Windows directory.  For most systems it will be C:\Windows, but it can vary depending on the configuration of NDO of hardware configuration of the computer.  If you type %windir%\SysWoW64\cmd.exe in the address bar in Explorer or in start, search programs and files, it will find the right directory.
