When I turn the volume of the volume meter which normally appears in the center of myscreen is missing, the volume always turns upward, but it no longer displays the on-screen volume level. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

(It is standard drive is a 1 TB of HARD drive).

    If so, how?

    Thank you!

    Hi Mike,.

    You are welcome

There should be no problem with Bios recognizing the 2nd HARD drive, however it may not appear in Windows (under the Start Menu, computer) until the drive has been formatted.

You can format the second HDD as follows.

Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type compmgmt.msc , and then press ENTER.  Click disk management in the left pane and let readers load upward.  Right-click on your new HARD drive and select Format to start the wizard.  Windows 7 will affect a Volume label so if your happy with it, just leave the default.  File system is NTFS.  Allocation unit size must be left by default.  Select the option to perform a quick format if it is not already done.  Leave all the other default settings, and then click Ok, and then Ok to start the process.

Once this done, your new HARD disk should now appear when you look under the computer.

  • could not initialize volume meter

I have no sound at all and the message (could not iniatialize volume counter), I also had in adjustment of volume menu no audio device.

Install the latest audio drivers for your PC/laptop from the manufacturer's website.

If you still get a message on the volume meter, re-post.

  • missing volume bar

Hi, I use an iPad 2 and for some reason any volume bars have disappeared. The volume always works and is adjustable, it is only the bars that are missing.

Does anyone know how th can be fixed?

    Thank you.

First, try a reboot forced the iPad:

Force the restart (does not affect the settings/data/music/apps/etc)

    1. press and hold the sleep/wake button

    2. press and hold the Home button

    3. hold both buttons until the screen turns off, then back on with the Apple logo.

If no luck and the problem persists, see these topics:

Volume icon missing from ios9 upgrade

If you are on iOS 9.x (which means that all versions) and you use a Smart Cover, there is a bug when using the Smart Cover to to unlock the device. I don't know if it applies to the iPad 2 you mention. I know that the problem exists on the iPad 2 Air and the mini iPad 2 (at least).

I don't really know what devices here as it is not indicated. The other problem is that the volume buttons do not work. It is more updated available through the TVT system so update... • Missing volume indicator

    Hello

I have more green or indicator of intensity of the screen volume indicator. They disappeared after uninstalling the presentation Director. I reinstalled it but no volume or intensity indicators are back. It is a minor inconveniance but I would like to have them back. How can I do this?

    I found a solution!

It comes to the register which is not too attractive, but it's a simple change so not so intimidating. Would it make sense total, when you look at the value of font size OSD his set with the lowest possible value (00 00 00 00). Not surprising that we cannot read what whatsoever...

I followed what was offered in the following thread and everything works fine:

    http://Forum.ThinkPads.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=72502

P.S. I would cite to back up before you mess up the registry keys...

  • HP Pavilion dv7-3170el: graph volume bar disappeared

    Good evening everyone.

I have a problem on my laptop: grey, graphics, bar, reception of touch sensor under the screen, is no more shown on screen when I try to adjust the volume. The volume can be adjusted properly (the sliders of the slide of windows Mixer works normally) mute control is ok, and the dvd control works well.

I had updated my machine with a copy of Windows 7 Home premium x 64, without HP software installed, I installed all drivers requested, downloaded from the HP service page, and they are listed in the Manager of devices, without errors. I would like to know, what is the software required for the proper display of this utility. Can someone help me?

I thank very you much for the replies.

3RVX is pretty cool, actually better than HP OSD. Only, I don't really like for everything.

    4. Select the tab area of Notification and under the system icons section, place a check next to VOLUME
    5. Click apply and then click OK

It should be visible in the toolbar again.
