  Hello, I have a HP Envy 4500 all in one printer that is only a year and have had many problems with.  Recently, when I turn it on, it displays an error code; 0XB3F4F4F8.   I bought my Hp Envy 4500 all in November last one. It worked like a charm for the first 2 months. I tried to print photo 4 x 6 a day. 2 first impressions were good, and the third image has begun to fade from the half. Documents not threatened by more than a few pages. I tried to uninstall/re-install, printing via USB, set static IP address on the print and followed by other solutions on this forum. I was lazy to lift a question myself on this forum. Now, I'm totally frustrated and disappointed by this product, I wanted to just try my luck.

  Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

  I understand your ENVY 4500 HP e-all-in-one printer is not printing documents to the end and there is a print quality problem when you print photos.  I would like to help.

  I have some suggestions that can solve these problems.

  First, I recommend that you only perform a "hard reset":

  1. press the Power button to turn off the printer.
  2. unplug the power cord at the back of the printer.
  3. wait 60 seconds.
  4 reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
  5. press the power button to turn on the printer.

  Click on the title of the following article:

  Try Solution two.

  If this clarify two questions, great!  If this solves the problem of document but still the problem of print quality with photos, click on the title of the following article:

  Printer prints a blank Page or does not print black ink color for the HP ENVY 4500 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 3540 e-all-in-One Printer Series

  Work your way through the Solution one and go until you are satisfied with the print quality.  Test photo print - does clarify the issue of the photo?

  • Uninstall the printer software.

  You cannot delete but you can add custom formats. This can change when you change your computer, change OS, re - install the driver. Printer driver keep his list by default only.

  When I scan to my PC from the printer control panel it shows only 'other' as the destination computer.  When I press on the help button (""? "") I can see my default printer without having to select 'Other' I am made to make this setting in the HP scan software.   Futher investigation I'm directed to a "Print & Scan" icon.  The problem is I have no icon "Print & Scan" and did I not any reference to the analysis in my HP printer Assistant I installed the latest drivers on the web, search the installation CD and can't find anything on how to get this icon to customize and preview my scans.  The scan fuction works fine otherwise.  I'd appreciate any help I can get with this configuration.

  First time installation of HP Envy 4500 all-in-one happening on Mac with os x 10.9.4.  However I can't get the printer to work with cable. HP instructions were re - insert the CD and follow the instructions in the "reconfiguration without cable" However, this was not an option on the CD, he just tried to repeat the installation.

  Hi thanks for Jamieson, for getting back to me.  We have now resolved the issue - '' We '' being myself and mark of the HP support team.  I tried all methods mention you several times and uninstalled, re-installed updates 3 times on etc. before contacting the forum.
  Finally, we found that the software of the printer was responsible and don't not all parameters.   Mark used Remoting to clear the printer software and start again and now it works a treat.   On the negative side I lost 8 hours of my time, not wanting to not give up the printer when we realize now it was never going to work. On the rise, Mark has been absolutely fantastic to talk me through the process of correction and the end result is a satisfied customer.  I also subscribe to e-print, which will be extremely useful to me in my travels

  I tried to solve this problem for over 3 hours now so apologies if shows my frustration.

  Equipment:

  MacBook pro under OS X 10.9.2

  Apple airport express router

  HP Envy 4500 all in one printer/scanner

  I can print without problem.

  Using the HP Scan application, I get this message:

  

  My camera looked good in regards to connectivity on my computer in system preferences, then I went to the screen of printer control in the menu 'Wireless' and I tried to redo the wireless configuration. I typed in my network name and the printer can't find my network. I have continued in any case, left the network name in and typed the wi - fi password, still no luck.

  So I tried the WPS in place. The screen just kept looking, and nothing connected.

  So, I tried to download the drivers from the HP site and guess what? The driver is installed on my hard drive, but then set it up the window of the HP utility can't find my device is:

  

  I tried to connect the printer directly to the computer with the USB cable, just so he could download the driver, he got as far as the next step, "Configuring device" and who doesn't work anymore:

  Note: I WAS able to scan before without a problem. The only thing I can think is that I put my printer off for a few days because I was not using it.

• HP ENVY 4500 does not print a PDF file

  I have Win7 HP laptop HP ENVY 4500 all-in-One printer wireless and iMac OS X 10.9.1 desktop. It prints all good document file formats, except a PDF file. When I try to print a page of a PDF doc't, via Adobe Reader (11.0.07), it prints 6 equidistant tiny portions of the original PDF page on a single sheet. All six parties are in the same area of the upper quadrant of the original PDF page. I tried many portrait, landscape and size configurations, but in vain. It will not print PDF of my iMac and PC browsers files. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and its driver a couple of times. It installs OK without error messages, but it will not print PDF. Also, I don't get any error messages when I try to print a PDF file. I don't see any documentation supplied with the printer printer to say that this HP all-in-one cannot print PDF doc'ts, and it seems to me that it would print a PDF file until several weeks ago. Please notify.

  I was finally able to print PDF files. But it's been so long ago because it was fixed that I don't even remember what was the solution. But four possibilities come to mind: (1) is of course the "print as image file" option has been activated; (2) re-installed printer driver; (3) re-installed Acrobat Reader and ensured that browser and extensions of processing of s/w, if any, have been correctly selected for my printer. (4) corrected a wrong paper, the type, quality, or size option layout which may have resulted in a page layout or a different format from what should be the 'standard' to a PDF file. Sorry I can't be more specific than that. But if I have to determine exactly what I could do to get PDF printing to work properly, I will go straight to you. BTW, I certainly don't rely on an intermediate file conversion service or s/w to transfer my PDF files to a printable format. I hope this helps.

Print is often delayed-- a whole day! - or doesn't print at all. Sometimes restart printer will do the trick.  Most often, second user must send me the doc that he printed, and I print it without any problem. This delay - printing or not is with Web sites, word, google docs documents
