HP Envy 5660 - message of paper jam

Our printer HP Envy 5660 is 2 weeks old.  It was purchased in a store of electronic chain.

Implementation has not been easy.  No problem until the second week of ownership.  An error message pops up pointing a problem of paper jam.  Follow-up of the instructions to remove the jammed paper.  Note, there is no jammed paper or all pieces of paper stuck in the printer.

I thought that maybe the attention need paper tray.  Not the case.

No changes have been made to our system, until the problem occurred

Someone, please help us to clear up this problem.

Thanks, Tomodachi

Hi @Tomodachi

This is the document that you used to solve the original paper jam message? A "Paper jam" message on the control panel.

If this is not the case, check to make sure that you have done all the necessary troubleshooting. If the problem persists, I suggest to leave the printer and unplug the power cable for a minute to perform a hard reset.

If the problem is still resolved, I'd call HP. If you are in the Canada, U.S. dial 800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP worldwide.

HP printers usually have a warranty of 1 year from the date of purchase, you can check the warranty using the following if you wish; guarantee cheque.

I hope this helps.

    Hi Alan,

The information provided in your post is not sufficient to diagnose your problem. To at least tell you if it's a hardware or software problem, we need to know the name of the printer manufacturer and model number, when exactly meet the problem and what are the symptoms you see.

Usually, a paper jam is caused by a hardware failure in a printer. So, at this point, I also suggest you go to the website of the manufacturer of the printer support and ask for help on their part. This can help you better.

Hope that this information gets you started in the right direction. Please respond with more information about the issue so that we could help you more.

  • C309G. Will not feed photo paper and give the message of paper jam.

Using 8.5 x 11 photo paper that he will feed not and I get a message that there is a paper jam.  I can then turns off the printer and it will be by himself through the paper and eject it.  If he he'll come when I close it took off why it won't pick it up and print.  I cleaned all rollers with distilled water.  I had the printer a couple of years and it has always worked well.  It is a new problem that has just begun.  Nothing has changed.

I sent the steps to your Forums HP box.  Let me know how it goes.

    Hiya Dexter

    Finally - a result!

I rang HP and they went through all 7 procedures to correct the problem, the last message on the printer was paper jam, it's then the guy said that it would replace my printer and it would be delivered on Friday and UPS would collect the old one without cost to me. !

If it had not been for your advice, I don't know I would have been fobbed off by helpdesk UK and would probably buy a new one.

So, many thanks to you for helping an old lady.

  • I have a hp lj4 paper jam problem. How can I chat with an expert today?

The printer lj4 passes the self-test.

The printer merges the front page that the message of paper jam.

The paper is not wrinkles just stops.

She does it with a number of different toner cartrages.

The printer had only light home use.

I suppose it may be a mechanical or electrical sensor problem

Is there a service manual for this printer showing sensors and

    mechanical training courses?

    Hi wsinger,

I suggest you find a service center to help you remove the output assembly. This requires you to remove all the covers and withdrawal of all carefully don't not to damage other internal parts. You might be able to buy the exit assemble from the link I provided earlier, but I don't think that you will be able to replace just the belt. Let me know what you find?

  • OfficeJet 6500 e709: printer carriage stuck far right - no. paper jams

    Hello community,

Recently my carriage of the printer on my HP Officejet 6500 E709n simply ceased to pass on the right side. I turn on my printer and he came with a message of paper jam.

I checked and traveled all Paper Jam troubleshooting steps and the steps to move the printer, nothing helps.   said videos and done all suggested steop nothing helps.

The last thing I printed has 3 addresses on envelopes. I have placed all three envelopes in the tray at the top of a stack of paper that was already there. The first envelope print, while the second has picked up two envelopes - but printed on the top - except, I noticed the corner of the return address, although entirely in tact, had a small spot of ink. I replaced the third envelope and it printed fine.

Please, can someone help me solve this problem?

    @JohnnyBones, welcome to the forums!

I read your post about the question of jam of transport that you are facing with the Officejet 6500 Wireless printer. I understand that you have already tried the recommended troubleshooting guides, I posted below, does not.

The following suggestion I have would be to ask to HP directly to see about having the printer repaired or replaced. If the issue was fixable, the troubleshooting steps should have helped!

    1. One "original jam: clear jam and press OK"message for HP Officejet and Photosmart all-in-One Series Printer.
    2. "A 'carriage jam' or ' 0X610000F6" message for HP Officejet 6500 (E709a) and 6500 wireless (E709n and E709q) all-in-One printers

  • OfficeJet 6700 gear grinding noise and paper jam

When turned on, our 6700 OfficeJet 6 - months, goes through the boot process, makes a gear grinding noise and finally stops with an error message of paper jam.  I went through all the steps to remove a paper jam (there was no paper to clear) except the cleaning rollers.  It of as if the gear in the duplex unit is not quite the tail with his partner in the printer, but not sure.  I checked to make sure that the rollers turn freeling.  The duplexer gear is a little tight, but it does not move.  Any ideas?

It seems that this printer has developed an internal problem.  From the sounds of it, the issue is the release mechanism for the transport of the print head.

There is a document to help out the noisy operation found printer here.  This can have a few extra steps for troubleshooting paper jam you have already done.

I would also try re-allocation of places the duplexer if she appears out of alignment.  However, if the problem persists, then it will be a hardware problem that the next step is replacement of the product.

If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • HP 5530 Envy: Envy 5530 load sticker paper

I bought the Cricut Explorer and I am trying to use the function 'print then cut.  My HP printer will not load Cricut printable sticker paper.  I use matte brochure paper type and quality.  It starts to load, then crashes and gives me an error message of paper jam.  I'm surprised because this printer has been cited as the top 2 best for this Cricut machine!  It is fairly new and not widely used, so that the rollers should not be a problem either.

    Hello @spikerdoos, greetings!

Thanks for joining us. I'm happy to help you

The problem you are having with the 5530 desire, could be caused by 2 reasons:

    1. Incorrect paper settings
    2. Not taken media type supported by the printer

Most likely, the problem can be solved by using the correct paper settings when printing. Try the following steps:

    • Click Start - printers & faxes - give a right click on the 5530 like and choose Printing Preferences.
    • Select the paper settings correct according to the type of paper you are using. Paper size and paper type should be mentioned properly.
    • Then try opening the page you are trying to print and even once, make sure that the correct paper settings are selected before printing.
    • You can visit http://hp.care/2c0qNsR and also http://hp.care/2c0qka8 for more detailed information in the selection of correct paper settings.

If the step above does not resolve the problem, then it might be largely because the matte Brochure paper type you are using is not supported by the printer.
Note: It may be possible that you use a Laser Matte paper, in this case, make sure that you use paper ink-jet itself.

Please let me know what happens. Thank you!

    See you soon

  • False paper jam in nine HP LaserJet Pro 100 M175nw

I have a brand new unit never printed a page.  As soon as I plugged it in, I got the error message of paper jam.

"Feeder jam clear doc, reload" press [OK] to continue.  By pressing 'OK' or the Cancel of X button does nothing.

I made (double, triple checked) there was no Ribbon, paper, packing anywhere on or in the printer.  I can even coax to print a page, but the error never stops.  It does not copy and does not print a page 100% correctly.  I cycled the printer power switch unplug the printer about 5 times and no change.  I took each cartridge and reinstalled the drum and what looked like she could be removed easily.  No change.

    Help

OK, so I followed the instructions online for the "jam" and "false jam" at least a dozen times.  Also, I stayed and followed the suggestions of the HP cat.  A few hours later and no success what-so-ever, I finally called HP customer service for a refund.

The gentleman I spoke to the HP Customer Service was AWESOME.  Long story short, he walked me through a few things that I already had, but at the end he told me:

1 roll each roll that I could reach in the document feeder, just to release what it is stuck.

    2. place a document on the flat bed scanner and try to copy.

#2 fixed my problem!  It's somehow reset the printer or caused the error to "look" somewhere other than this error.  He took a solid 2-3 minutes to "think" about the analysis, but eventually copied the document and executed perfectly.  It's been several days and the printer has played perfectly every time.
