HP notebook pro 655 g1: port of Dvd do not eject hp notebook pro 655 g1

I recently bought my hp laptop pro 655 g1 and the port dvd doesn't open, I do not know to open it as I press a button on the side, and nothing happens. Help please

If you are sure that the button is depressed, then the only recourse is to insert a paperclip on the trombone in the tiny hole next to this button.  Who should release the load mechanically mechanism.

  • The CD/DVD does not work with El Capitan 10.11.5 on Macbook Pro

Hello everyone, I spent the time to research on the here and the other site on why the CD/DVD does not work with El Capitan 10.11.5 on MacBook Pro mid 2009. This discussion forum has said that he will not work with the El Capitan software. Any idea or suggestion? Back to Marverick or Yosemite? I tried to use SMC reset, restart, recovery and still the same issue.

    I thank in advance.

    ~ Mike

I have my doubts that the (10.11.5) software is the problem.  Are you sure that the DVD player is simply not defective?  Have you tried to clean the lens?  What is the State of the disc?

  • Satellite Pro L100 - DVD will not turn even upward

My friend gave me an old Satellite Pro L100 PSLA4E 005009EN to look at. He acknowledges not or read the DVD. I tried using multimedia Nero, Cyberlink and VLC players, but they can't watch a DVD. A CD will play without a problem, but a DVD will not yet run abreast.

When I look in my computer it says that a TSST Corp CD/DVD TS-L632M is installed, but when I look at the edge of the disc itself, it says DVD. R/RW with lightscribe? The software is also the original software yet.
Since the downloads for this model of Toshiba page, I see that the TSST DVD - RAM drive was equipped initially to the laptop so I'm assuming that a DVD - RW was equipped afterwards?

I find the hardware changes in device if Manager shows nothing. If I try to update the drivers found nothing? In desperation I tried to reinstall the drivers from the Toshiba site, but it does not help?
If this is the case why Windows XP does not recognize a DVD - RW?

If someone sees something I missed please?

    Hey,.

Different laptops come with a different material maybe if the laptop was supplied with this player, but in my opinion it of important either.

The fact is if DVD is not recognized it seems to be a hardware malfunction, but what you can do is cleaning the lens of the player with a Microfiber towel. Do it carefully you don't zero or destroy the lens (dust could be on the lens). After that he try again if it will recognize a DVD.

Otherwise, the disc must be replaced and contact an authorized service provider. Guys can order a compatible drive and replace it. :)

  • Re: Satellite Pro L450 - 13P - CD / DVD does not auto play

    Hello

Recently, I've provided a customer with a new Satellite Pro L450 - 13P (Windows 7 Professional). He came back to me the a few days saying it was a great laptop but CD / DVD will not auto play. I googled this problem and I tried all kinds of solutions suggested, including the various changes of registry, uninstall and reinstall the device DVD driver, unchecking and rechecking always use AutoPlay box everything has failed.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 (Vista) and thought I would try to insert an automatic game disc in my drive. To my astonishment, my laptop had developed the same problem, it used to auto play, but now it doesn't.

Any assistance people can give me in this matter is accepted with gratitude.

    Thank you very much
    Mark

    Hi Mark

As far as I know autoplay can be set to Autoplay settings (Control Panel).
There you can define what should happen when you insert each type of media or device.
For example, I have all the options set to ask me every time.
Have you tried to change these settings?

Have you tested with different media?

If you have noticed that mean the same thing on your laptop computer you have tested with the same support as your client?

  • USB ports, CD/DVD player, and Mike just does not work

So I'm pretty sure that these things are happening at the same time, although there are risks my trying to troubleshoot the USB ports have contributed to the failure of the microphone (internal and will not capture sound) and cd/dvd drive (not open). Perhaps? It is true that I know little about these kinds of things, but I'm much less following the indications which is what I did to try to tackle the problem of USB port, which was the first I noticed. I followed all the advice I could find online for troubleshooting when all usb ports do not respond. I used Device Manager to disable in its regular and safe mode. I also uninstalled them all in both modes (even if they reinstall until I'm able to restart). I unplugged and wait 5, 10, 15 min etc. There was a difficulty mentioned about watching the. Mine and INF files do not contain the mentioned error. I'm tempted to all my files backup and restore the computer to factory settings, especially now that the CD/DVD player and the micro does not work. This would solve the problem? If these things are related? Could even restore settings because I can't have in the cd/dvd drive? It's a dell inspiron 1721, and it crushed while you restart for almost a whole day just all the time I've began to notice all these malfunctions. I really appreciate any guidance!

Good so I solved all of these problems. I don't know what did the trick, but when I went back in the BIOS to re - activate the ports they have worked!

  • Music CD and DVD do not work on satellite notebook

    Hey people

I have a problem. I'm not very good with computers, but I know the basics. I have a Toshiba Equium with windows XP. It of my girlfriends, so when I got it was really slow with all its stuff student.

So I deleted everything and re-installed the computer to what it would have been when it is new, but now, nothing works. Music CD and DVD does not infact everything I put in the drive does not work. The orange light is on the cd player suggesting there is a CD player, but the computer is not picking it up.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello Klark

If the laptop is installed with the recovery media, there must be preinstalled WinDVD application and you should use it to watch original DVD movies. Have you already tested?

If you try to use original music CD try to boot with Windows media player. It should work. You can also install the latest version (v.11). What is with mp3 files? You hear mp3 files? Seems works well?

  • Satellite 1400 DVD will not play DVD

    Hello

After cleaning the notebook of the cousin of my fiancee, who had a number of viruses, the DVD player will play is no longer the DVD (it will play data CD, however, can read data DVD as well, but I don't have any of those). When I put a movie disc, it will try and try to read it, and in the end, he gave up. If I click on the drive again, it asks me to put it on a disc.

I tried all sorts of things to fix. The DVD-Rom is a Hitachi GDR-8081n. I uninstalled and let Windows detect it again, I uninstalled the secondary IDE channel is on, to ensure implementation in DMA mode (it was in PIO), no effect. I loaded the latest version of WinDVD, no luck. I uninstalled WinDVD and installed PowerDVD, no effect. I manually deleted cdrom.sys and had put Windows back, without result. I found an update of the firmware somewhere, but unfortunately it simply does not work (it calls for the CD/DVD is not actually present).

Someone had a similar problem and figured out what to do? Search online for those who have had similar problems with other DVDs, the usual assumption is that it is a hardware failure. It is quite possible that this is the case, I guess, but it would really be a coincidence for making it happen the same day wherever I tried to wipe the drive, so I am doubtful.

Any assistance that may be provided is much appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Elio,

From your description of the problem, I think that your DVD player has a problem with the laser. IN a combi laser scanner uses two different frequencies, one for CD and one for DVD.

I suspect that the frequency of DVD is not working properly. The fact that the player to repeatedly try to read a DVD when you insert one indicates to me that the software works correctly, but the laser is not able to focus properly on the DVD.

Unfortunately, your only real option is to consult an authorized Service Agent or replace the drive yourself if it is the least expensive option.

    Best wishes

    Hello

I wonder what site Toshiba driver did download you the drivers?

Mhhh is s a Toshiba model we designed and delivered by US.
Thus, you should use the Tosh site to download driver.

I have check the pilot US page didn t find the XP drivers and it's one reason why I asked.
I would recommend when even update the Win XP OS on the latest state. This means that you should visit the Microsoft site and should perform a patch test!

  • My USB ports and MIC do not work. I hope that this is not the motherboard. Someone knows how to fix this?

Initially, it was a port that would not work. Before the USB ports out I did pay my phone with the USB cable. Before that my microphone stopped working. Deactivation and activation of the ports as well as uninstall then re install the USB readers and I tried a system restore. I also tried to take the battery for an hour or two and restart the PC. None of this has worked. Today, I heard some hope of my computer... I heard the sound of him recognize a dongle that is plugged. This sound is produced after starting my PC. I have not heard in a while and still haven't when I unplug and plug back in to the dongles. My computer (a laptop) like also to restart auto sometimes when I close the lid and open it, the screen does not light and it will be off and try to restart itself but the screen never lights up and he'll stop and try several times to start. In this case I have to hold the power button down to turn off completely and take the battery out and put it back in, then turn it on. I feel that it's a hardware problem but I'm not that great with computers and I don't want to give up yet on this computer. It cost me a pretty penny and I am a broke student.

If anyone had the same types of problems and has a solution I'm willing to try anything.
    Thanks in advance
    -Mike

    Hi Mike,.

You can consult the following wire link and check if it helps.

Tips for solving problems of USB devices

It seems that you have to re - enable ports in the BIOS (Basic input/output system) settings.

NOTE: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk. Be sure to observe the manufacturer's instructions or contact the manufacturer for the same thing.

  • Audio & CD/DVD drive not working only not with Vista

I have a laptop HP V6500 Pressario, with Vista Home Basic installed recently. I have two problems with my laptop:

1 > there is no sound, and I see the error "no audio device is installed" with a red cross on the "speaker" icon.
2 > drive CD/DVD is not visible in 'my computer '.

These two problems are persistent, but begin to work from time to time, say once 20 times when I turn on the laptop, I see the CD drive and also audio works, but these work only for about 10 minutes...

I tried the Dr.Fixit and it did not help and have also installed the latest drivers for my notebook to the hp site:

    Hey riri,.

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Delete the invalid registry keys
    1. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    2. in the navigation pane, find and then click the following registry subkey:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    3. in the right pane, click UpperFilters.
Note: You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You don't have to delete this entry. Click UpperFilters. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you may still have to delete the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step 6.
    4. in the Edit menu, click on delete.
    5. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
    6. in the right pane, click LowerFilters.
Note: If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content cannot help you further.
    7. on the Edit menu, click on delete.
    8. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
    9. exit the registry editor.
    10. restart the computer.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: see How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
Step 2: Uninstall any software CD/DVD burning.
    1. Click Start, type appwiz.cpl and press to enter.
    2. from the list of programs, select CD/DVD burning software and click on uninstall.
    3. once the uninstall, restart the computer.

Step 3: Install device drivers in a new user account.
    1. open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.
    2. click on manage another account.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. click on create a new account.

    4. type the name you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click on create an account.

    I hope this helps.
