HP OfficeJet 4650 All in One: Ethernet

Sorry, figured this out myself.  I have no idea why I got this message.  He is fine now. No need to thread.

I got my printer connected to my desktop - which is not wireless.  It worked great, until I had to unplug move them.  Now, I can't understand how they connect.

I'm unable to find videos or diagrams that show how to connect a computer to ethernet not wireless.  Please show me how!  I do not understand which wire goes to the printer to the computer and exactly where.  I can print fine but when I try to scan, it says that I must connect to the computer.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Think that you are referring to the USB connection to connect the printer to the computer.

In addition, you may want to consider downloadng and install the FULL features software.

The following resources will help you:

HP printer install wizard for Windows
http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL50403/MP-150580-2/hppiw.exe

Hope that helps.

  • Is the HP OfficeJet 7410 all-in-one ethernet ability limited to IPv4, or does it include IPv6?

A new replacement of the router has been installed and I suspect that fast OEM install by default to IPv6, so I may need to break the detailed installation tips to see how to some device limited IPv4 parameter for this ancient printer.  TIA!

I'm sure that its IPv4 only.  You can just disable IPv6 on your router, you really don't need it for your local network.

  • OfficeJet 7310 all-in-One: the device is not complete - Officejet 7310

Initially, a 10 on my network windows desktop could no longer communicate with my Officejet 7310 all-in-one ethernet connection.  The Office recognizes the 7310 as a printer, but not as an all-in-one.  I tried to reinstall the software using the prescribed protocols, without success. I decided to ignore the problem.  The Office could still use the 7310 as a printer, but not as an all-in-one. In addition, my two laptops could always use the all-in-one features.

Today, no reason apparent, the all-in-one feature has stopped working on my windows of 10 laptops.  When I tried to scan a document, I received a message that says: "device to complete installation. Attach the usb cable or reinstall the software. "I am more able to reinstall the all-in-one software.  Just like with my office, my laptop can use the all-in-one printing function, but cannot use the functions of HP Solutions Center.

I used the protocols recommended - uninstall the 7310, running windows disk cleanup, run ccleaner registery cleaner, closing all devices on the network except the 7310 and a laptop.  Nothing works, despite several attempts on various computers.  Is no longer, I can install the software of HP Solutions Center on any of my windows 10, 64-bit, PCs - wired or wireless.  The 7310 is essentially a 'brick', because it no longer works as an all-in-one.

What can I do to fix this? Help.

    Hey @fatz2fly,

I don't think that you have missed something, but I recommend you uninstall a more holistic approach at this stage. I know that this appears at first sight very complicated, but I burst in instructions step by step to make it easy to follow

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type % temp %

      • Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    2. Delete the printer devices and printers and the driver from the properties of the server. See the instructions below before proceeding to step 3.
    3. Download the software and choose Save as, save to desktop >AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe
      • After downloading software and extracts, reopen the temp folder, use the instructions in step 1.
      • Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
      • Open the Util folder
      • The CCC folder
      • If you have a computer HP run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have acomputer no HP run the L4uninstall.exe
    4. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
    5. Download and run CCleaner - How to use CCleaner.

Installing software on the computer with a registry key, its place would be like trying to paint a wall with a hole in it, you need to patch the hole first. Repair the registry, and then install the software. Registry cleaners can be useful tools to solve certain types of problems in the registry, as those that are created when a program does not properly uninstall or a malware infection is not cleaned properly.

This suggestion is not a document of HP, it is my own opinion. My preference is CCleaner, I use it on my computers. If you have a registry cleaner already, or that you prefer, you can use it.

  • Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
    • Hold down the key of the Windows Logo on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run
    • In the Open box, type msiexec /Unregister, and then click OK.
    • Hold down the key of the Windows Logo on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run
    • In the Open box, type msiexec/regserver, and then click OK
  • * Note: there is a space between the c and the /.

If you do not at this stage, use this link to perform another way. Restart Windows install

    1. Run the system Accessories\ tool disk cleanup <> How to delete files using disk cleanup
    2. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
    3. Restart the computer
    4. Download and run the HP printer install wizard for Windows
    5. The HP printer for window installation wizard was created to help Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 users download and install the most recent and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance. Thank you!

    Multipoint unresolved printing problem:

HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 had printed out successfully all the three above mentioned computers since the purchase of the 04/04/2015. End of August 2016 he started intermittently refusing to print wireless, sometimes do not connect wireless or holder from job to job.

09/06/16 I posted the question on the Forum of community HP between 07/09/16 and 08/09/16 had dialogue on possible solutions. I followed the Commission received and interpreted it following recommended tasks - all without result:

    (1) sequential power off and cord power to the router Range Extender, OfficeJet 8610 Pro and iMac and removal after 60 seconds of powering the devices in the same order. Result: would not print.

    (2) off wireless to iMac. IMac connected to a printer via an Ethernet cable. Printer would not print.

    (3) tried to scan the printer for iMac's wireless: would not scan.

    (4) tried Scan via an Ethernet cable from the printer to iMac: Scan worked.

    (5) connecting iMac via an Ethernet cable to the router and printing system reset iMac to remove the printer and then added printer as directed by its name: HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 [455491]. The results have been mixed:

    (a) wireless to iMac to the router and Ethernet cable router for printer: test page printed.

    (b) the iMac to the router and wireless router for printer: test page will not print.

08/09/16, having nothing specified by HP Community Forum, I contacted AT & T, the provider of my router and all my services (wireless, broadband, Internet, fixed phone) for the Support service.

    AT & T: recommended

    (1) make a new Setup wireless printing HP itself using my secure wireless network name and password, and then perform a reboot of the router. Between the two actions (new set-up and router reboot), the printer starts and print a previously submitted test page. To confirm that the printer was actually working, I turned off the printer, waited, he turned back and tried to print Test page: the page not print.

    (2) AT & T then told me to do a new manual of the printer setting. Just as I got Set Up on the screen of the printer, the printer prints the Test Page.

AT & T told me that the printer should work fine now.

Once I have shut down my system and restarted the 09/09/16, I found that I could not print anyway:

Wireless to the router for printer

Wireless to the router and Ethernet cable for printer

Ethernet cable to the router and wireless to a printer

    Ethernet cable for printer

Another experiment on 11/09/16 led to erratic printing depends on the original machine:

1 iMac for HP printer: wireless printer for iMac gives not the Page of Test sent for printing, but a series of blank pages, followed by several pages of code and followed by more white pages. Code pages are all the same and then talking about the Cambria police (body).

    a. the first pages all State: %! PS-Adobe-3, 0% APL_DCS_Encodiong: UFT8% APLProducer: (Version 10.11.6 (Build 15 1)

    b. human beings second page with: 14 start/FontName dict / TJOLUV+ def Cambria

Page 2 on three subsequent print reading attempts the same as above, except for a different set of letters before "+ Cambria". A UAXKPA, a JJCFBS, and the third is WOKHHG.

    2. yet, when I tried to print the Test Page of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro wireless, printing is successful (i.e., the test page prints and do not print pages blank and coded.

I'm sorely need a remedy to this overall situation.

  • All-in-one HP Officejet J4550: hp officejet j4550 all-in-one

My moms computer was installed by my father and already the installation of the printer. She then began having some problems when printing lines by slots empty words in words. I tried cleaning the printer option, but that has not worked, also tried the alignment of cartridges but that also had problems, sometimes it could not detect the scanner test sheet and then we would say a mistake and return to the default settings. I was then going to the computer application, but he missed. I guess that when it was installed, it was not a complete installation.

I then started to re - install from the cd without uninstalling it first. Thought it would be OK and just replace the existing files. Sometimes, this works for programs and sometimes you will need to uninstall first. When I loaded the cd it says that this version of windows was not compatible. Then, I searched the net and found this thread of Hp.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-all-in-one-install-Setup/Windows-7-and-OfficeJet-J4550-install/...

I downloaded the new installation for win 64 files and down them, before he installed it there was an error (empty white error with a red x) and it wouldn't install. Then sent information to HP and said it has found a solution and downloaded to the desktop. Basically, he wanted to fix my installation but unplug the printer. So I did this and it worked fine during installation. Then when he got at the end during the setup I got a fatal error. Something about the configuration has expired or has been too long and we also found several files of HP. So he started to uninstall itself. I thought having bad uninstall programs, then put it back. So I did, worked well until the config part and then he did the time out or another error. The mistake of never came however duplicates. So I cancelled as fast as I could. I can print and scan from the program on the pc. But it lacks the features of the printer itself. As if I hit him scan it tells me to consult the manual. I just want to complete installation work. Any thoughts?

I did all the steps, downloaded the packgage, uninstalled using l3.bat, did drop cleanboot, reboot, update adobe Flash Player as well as cleaning. Download the hp installation wizard. When running the wizard, it says there is a problem with my driver, then it starts to connect to the internet to download the software, but then said the download was cancelled, click Retry to try again but the retry button does not work. I have mcaffee AV, the only way ive seen turn off is to disable on the analysis of access and the firewall.

Don't you have an another clean boot and no driver error, but the same error message when the installation wizard attempts to download the full software. Simply use the version of the software from the link has me http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Officejet-J4000-All-in-One-Printer-series/3645081/model/3645096#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

    FINALLY HE GOT WORKING:

Downloaded the basic print and scan driver package, ran the installation and it did not work. I started to think there must be a driver problem. Had similar problems with itunes where it wouldn't read my ipod even after an uninstall and reinstall. And for that I had to remove the driver and reinstall it, for some reason any it was causing problems.

Make sure the name is exactly the same as the folder. After its extraction do the same for the complete package. After extraction, a HP screen may pop up, just close for now.

    1. If the printer software is installed, uninstall it.

    2. with the connected printer go to devices control panel\ Manager, right click on your printer and click on uninstall. Check the box in the lower right corner that says something like "Do you want to remove the software driver or files" then click on uninstall.

If box is displayed, and then click cancel, right-click on your printer and select Properties, click on the driver tab at the top, then the Details button pilot. make a new file .txt on your desktop and enter in all of the files and the locations of eveything that appears. After that click OK, then driver tab, click on uninstall.

Here are some of the files and locations but check they are all listed and not missing anything.

    c:\Windows\system32\drivers\usbscan.sys

    c:\Windows\system32\hpotscl1.dll

    c:\Windows\system32\hpowiav1.dll

    3. open a new file and copy and paste the address of each file in the search bar. It will look something like this

    c:\Windows\system32\drivers\usbscan.sys

before hitting enter each need to be edited windows otherwise think you try to open the file rather than access the folder. So for the modified example will look like this

    c:\Windows\System32\Drivers

the drivers folder is what you want to be in and the usbscan.sys is the file you want to check is removed. Do this for everything in your list. If the files have disappeared that has, if not manually delete them or move them to a new folder on the desktop until installation is complete just in case.

    4. (computer may or may not need to be restarted) and then unplug the printer, open the software package and the base driver and double-click setup.exe. Do the installation and when it asks you to connect the printer.

    5. after its installed according to your needs, you can either test its features to see if it has what you need or you go to install more packages / programs from the full version.  Double-click setup.exe for the full package, then it will ask you that you if you want to uninstall or install more software, select the installation of the software. He can just show 1 or maybe a little. If its does not display those you want to click on the buttons more or less recommended until you find what you are looking for. You can try to install more then one at a time, but for me it did not work, I had to do one at a time.

As far as the folders on the desktop used for extraction, it is a good idea to keep those with your backup files unless you use a restore image, but it good to keep because the backup even images may have problems. I would recommend save their be on a cd/dvd, USB drive, external hard drive, the cloud storage lol somewhere just in case you need it again as well as installation instructions. If you have moved all the files in the driver instead of delete and your printer now works, you can remove them.

NOTE: If keeping the package for later use, Exchange compressed files for those who have been extracted because they take less space. Unless you want to just the ones extracted. (Compressed are those you downloaded from HP in the folder downloads, extracts are those in the office used for installation folder.)

And thank you Gemini02 for helping me with this.

  • HP Officejet 4630 all-in-one printer print cancels in the workplace

    Hello

I recently bought a HP Officejet 4630 all-in-one printer, and it automatically cancels the work in the middle of printing. The computer I use is a dv7 HP Envy with 64-bit Windows 8, and I print on a wireless network connection. My computer receives an error that HP Officejet 4630 series could not perform printing and the printer just says Cancel. I tried all the steps in the sections troubleshooting, both printing and network connections problems. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times, I created a manual IP address and everything, but nothing seems to work. It seems also that the issue when using HP ePrint. It occurs in all sorts of programs and formats such as word, pdf and html. Unfortunately, I did not receive a USB cord, I can't see if that will fix the problem at all. I hope someone can help me with this, otherwise, it is obvious that there is a problem with the actual printer, I have had and I have to return something else.

    Thank you

This is how I fixed it:

    1. Find out what IP address, is that your printer uses.
    2. Go to control panel, then click "View devices and printers."
    3. Look for your printer right click.
    4. Click on "Printer properties" and a new screen opens.
    5. Along the top, you will see some tabs. Click on the one that says "Ports".
    6. Click on 'Add Port '.
    7. Highlight "Standard TCP/IP Port" by clicking on it, then click "New Port".  A new screen opens.
    8. Click "next".
    9. Type the IP address of your printer, and then click "next".

Your computer should find your printer.

Click 'Apply' and your printer should work fine.

  • I have a HP officejet J6480 all-in-one printer. The screen is white and yellow light flashing

I have a HP officejet J6480 all-in-one printer. The screen is blank and there is this little yellow light flashes on the Cancel button.  I can not print or fax anything because the screen is empty. Since the light started to Flash the entire printer has not worked. Can someone please HELP! : womansad:

Well, if you haven't tried this and then create a coercive power reset:

Do not activate the wide (although you can), remove the power cord at the back of the printer. Wait at least 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Turn on the printer. If that clears up the flashing light/white screen, then try printing etc...

If this is not the case, see if something visible is originally the error state such as paper jam, odd items in the printer, nothing fancy. Also try to plug the printer directly into the wall outlet as opposed to a look/power surge Strip, or even try a Jack in another room if it is not successful.
