  You can try the HP scan diagnostic utility first, but in general the failure of the Scanner is a hardware problem that must be repaired. You can find the number of the media on the link below as well as the link to the Diagnostic utilities.

  EDIT: I couldn't find it before, but you can also check the Scanner failure article to reset your printer and check the connection of the power supply.

  I've recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 now my Officejet Pro L7780 will not scan.  No scan option does not appear, anyone having this problem and do you have a fix for this problem.

  I reinstalled and hardware (scanner) is recognized but will not give the ability to scan. I use Windows 7 32-bit but also windows virtual XP.  This problem has been uninstigated.  Does not work under XP 7 or virtual.

  I found this document which indicates the front button functions are limited in Windows 7, so if you try to scan form, it just will not work.  I also found this document which shows you all the different ways that you can scan with Windows 7.  Hope these helps.

  I was wondering if someone could get an idea about this problem.  I can't use my driver 'HP StudioScan' because the 'profiles' will not load.  It goes like this:

  • I opened StudioScan HP.
  • A window opens that says: "none of the profiles customized for the device selected."
  • He invites me to choose the device, what I'm doing.
  • But then nothing happens - I am unable to select all profiles or click 'profile settings' or anything like that, so I can't scan.

  I tried to remove and reinstall all of the HP software.

  It worked all fine until yesterday.  I don't know what happened.

  It is a separate issue, but I also tried to analyse using ImageCapture in the overview and who says "no device found" and does not give me an option to try to find the device...

  Very frustrated!  Please help and thanks in advance.

  Updated - when I said that I already tried to uninstall, what I actually did was to place the entire Applications HP in the trash and then empty the trash folder.  I had not used the real HP uninstaller program.  So finally I used HP uninstaller and now it works!  Yay!  Thank you!

  I have an iMac and upgraded to Mavrick. Now my scanner, Photosmart C4780, does not scan. I have HP scan, 2.4.0(5), that has worked well before.   I saw your post on the problems you are having with a sweep on the Mavericks.  I checked the drivers available and there is no driver available for the Mavericks scanning. However, there are solutions to analyze.

  Click on the link below and choose 'How to scan with the Apple Software Update driver?' and then you will see 3 methods, choose one of them.

  All of a sudden that my printer (Photosmart C6380) refuses to scan what either on my Mac. I go to the scanner that I would normally the Photosmart studio and select scan. The scanner then begins to initialize, then: "an unknown error has occurred" pop up appears. I did not what is wrong because it's all pop up says, he won't go into details in addition so I have no idea what actually is this error. I tried scanning my other printer HP (Deskjet F4280) and it came with the same error. I even tried the scan using my Macbook and I get the same error too. I also tried scanning the Mac to the printer, then the printer initializes and freezes I have to restart the printer.

  I recently installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard on both Mac and that could be the reasoning of the problem, but the printer works without any problem. It just seems to be the scanner itself.

  On the right column is where you tell the file name, type, location, etc.  When you click on the Scan button it saves it (he actually does scan yet).

• notes from the iPhone will not sync for Mac

  I use iCloud-based limited - find my iPhone, iCloud Drive, reminders, Notes, and news. Settings for iCloud shows these three elements under tension. Unfortunately, Notes does not sync to Mac now or never. Settings for iCloud shows that the Mac and the iPhone are connected to iCloud. I don't know if new is sync for iCloud, as there is no icon for it on the web page of iCloud.

  In settings iCoud on the Mac, it is not a single entry in notes even if there are 15 different notes on the phone which are changed daily on the lists. On the phone, there is a 0 for the notes in iCloud.

  As far as I know, Notes should work, but I can't say what the problem is.

  In settings > Notes "on my iPad" - account checked or not?

  I used this in a printer successfully for over a year.  Recently moved and now I can't scan only.  All other functions work. I reinstalled the driver software (full) twice.  Do not HP Solution icon on the desktop. Cannot set display scan button. Use Windows 7 on this computer and XP on another computer.

  Your 2410 is maybe defective.  Reset it by holding the # and 6 keys while turning.

  I see that you are looking in your scanning options. I would try to help.

  Due to the age of the printer, there is no HP software for this printer on Mavericks.  You can, however, use the characters of basic Mac OS and drivers to scan.  I'm including a document on the installation and using the printer on a Macthat should help you to solve this particular section of the document titled "How to scan with Apple software update driver?"

• DeskJet 4500 will not scan to PDF

  My Deskjet 4500 G510g-m will not scan to PDF. The Solution Center does not show a scanning pane. Printing HP and Scan Doctor indicates that an update is required for the Cener Solution, however, the update link goes to an update to the Pro 8500 and the update will not be installed for this printer. The software has been installed from download the latest driver from the Web site. Uninstalled several times, including from the file bat of the cd. Printer is connected by USB to a Windows 7-64 bit computer.

  I recommend the following solutions:

  • Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the printer software.
  • Clean boot the computer. How to perform a boot in Windows.
  • Re-install using the printer HP install wizard for Windows.

• Canon mp 210 will not scan

  My Canon mp210 printer/scanner will not scan for the top of Tower computer hp pavilion dv7. It will scan directly on paper. It prints also other things coming from the computer. I removed the driver and downloaded an updated driver. Any suggestions?
