How can I get my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more to scan a full legal size paper? He cut scanning letter-size, but the specifications say it will scan the legal size.

    Hello

The analysis of parameters need to be changed to HP Scan App. launch of the HP scan application from your computer and select the option left (PDF or JPEG...) and then choose the size of legal scan on the right.

    Save and close the application.

Now you can scan in legal.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500, change to yellow when heated

Hi, I use my Officejet 8500 to print T-shirt heat transfer. When pushed to 350 degrees, I get a slight yellowing of ink. In the past, I used Epson printers and had similar results. This could be corrected on the Epson by slightly reducing the amount of yellow ink applied, with the Epson software you can set each individual color individually, IE: Magenta + Cyan 0, 5-10 yellow. This would correct the problem on the Epson, and since the problem is the same, I think it would solve my problem with the HP also. Unfortunately HP software do not allow me to adjust the ink levels as the Epson has done.

Is a HP software or a 3rd party that would allow it? Do you know of other possible fixes? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I couldn't have the 7410 driver to work, but taking your head, I've tried a few others. The driver for the L7600 did the trick and allows me to make adjustments to individual color, I need. Thanks for the help, Mr. Headrick!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: HP Officejet Pro 8610 does not recognize ink cartridges

My printer has ceased to recognize its ink cartridges. In a first stage, the problem happened occasionally and could be fixed by installing and reinstalling the cartridges or just wait a few days, but now it is continuous.

When I turn on the printer, it immediately gives me an error (without code), saying that it cannot find the cartridges. All four are marked on the screen as not found. I followed the instructions of troubleshooting here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04090902

The cartridges are genuine, they are the ones that came with the printer. I removed the, checked the contacts of the four. They look damaged or dirty, but used a cloth to clean all anyway. Put back them, did not help. Checked the latch, it was in the correct position. I even tried the restart without result.

I tried to replace the cartridge with a new one (again, product HP genuine), but does not replace the printer either. And because all cartridges have failed at the same time, I can hardly belive the problem lies in them.

I come from Finland, and I've not found a phone number, I could ask for help. Does one exist even for my country?

  • HP officejet pro 6830: SNAPSHOT of HP INK

My officejet pro 6830 is replaced under warranty after the printhead developed a fault. I had recently installed the first ink cartridges of replacement from the account of the instant ink that I put in place and my question is this, can I return these cartridges with printer broken as an email suggested that they would not work in the replacement printer then just register a new printer with ink instant or what I have to cancel the account and create a new one? Would appreciate some advice before delivery in a few days please. I live in England.

    Hey @NickHarvey,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I understand that you are curious about the Protocol regarding the State of ink and registration of the subscription when you replace an instant printer ink.  I would like to advise you on this.

First of all, I would hold on these instant ink cartridges.  If they are unused, you can still use them in the new printer.  Even if you have used them before you can return them separately in the same box that comes with your next batch of instant ink.  Essentially, your replacement printer must be "joined" to instant ink and will require a few subtleties of an instant ink HP agent account.  This is where your original account is obsolete and your existing HP connected and the printer identification information entered in a new instant ink account.  Note that these administrative procedures are not something you can do for your self as quickly or effectively as an agent, then you will need to reach out for support.  If you prefer to do business by phone, click on the link below to get help from your region number.

If you would rather manage this chat live or email here's how:

Click here to log into your instant account of ink.

Then use the following screenshots to navigate your way to all the available support options:

    Click 'contact support '.

Then, fill in all fields to create a deal (I skipped this screen that I didn't post any personal info) - this will lead you to the final screen where you can select Chat or by Email.

I would like to know if it is useful.  If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to say "You rock!" by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 always in color ink

I have 4 computers, printing on this printer and I put printing preferences on all levels of grey: black ink only, yet I am still uses ink of color for a reason any.  All faxes and copies that are made on the machine are in BLACK.  Please help me understand this.  Y at - it a setting I'm missing?

There are a few things to check.  Some ink will be used to keep the "plumbing" and clear print heads.  If you never run cleaning cycles (in the front panel or computer palette) ink will use black and all colors.  If the printer is off of an external switch that will serve the most ink - the printer must always be connected to a live outlet.  Finally, when you automatically print duplex some color ink will be used on the first page to set the ink more quickly so that the ink will not smear when the page is pulled back into the printer.

The document described here how the ink is used.  In the terminology of this document the 8600 Officejet Pro is an IIC printer.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus tinted yellow

I've recently upgraded to an HP Officejet Pro 8600 more than a HP Photosmart Premium. I started printing the photos from my computer running Mac OS X 10.8 and my photos have a yellow tint (whites are not really white) or are darker they appear on the screen. This only happened on my previous printer. I searched online for solutions, but none of them helped, or they have mentioned that the printer have ICC profiles. Is there a way to fix this or download ICC profiles for this printer? Regular print on the paper are fine, but when it comes to printing on photo paper, my photos are not what I expect them to be. I went through several sheets of photo paper to try to solve this problem so I want a solution immediately.

After printing 20 + test photos, I finally solved my problem. It turns out that the pilot needed to be updated and the printer is not installed/added correctly in the preferences "print and scan. It was installed using AirPrint, so I reinstalled the printer and manually selected the driver. Then color options appears in the print dialog box and the yellow tint, for the most part, disappeared (I had to change some options, such as ColorSync). http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907 driver update, though according to me, an update system would also do.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 depleted a color ink cartridges - printer will print not except if replaced

When one of my color ink cartridges is empty ink, my printer does not print until the ink cartridge is replaced.  Of course, I go out and buy new and install it then get the message that another cartridge needs to be replaced!

I only print in black ink in all cases.  Is it possible to print only black ink without replacing color cartridges are empty ink?

In addition, if a color is exhausted, I should automaticall replace all color cartridges?

    Operating system: Windows XP

Officejet 8500 printers individual ink cartridges (IIC); This machine requires that all cartridges to be installed to ensure that the printhead not damaged. In the printer, the ink is used not only for printing, but retain the printer and the print head. We can reduce the amount of color ink, the printer uses by changing the print in grayscale settings or use black ink only. Page 34 of the Manual shows how to change these settings when you print the documents. For more information on how the ink is used in the printer; It can be considered as this page here where he goes into detail about the different ways that ink is used in the printer.
I would just replace the color cartridge the printer says needs replacement when the machine alerts you of low ink. I would replace all the colors at a time when only needs replacement.
    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a Premium yellow will not print

I am not able to print Yellow.  The quality of the print head is 'good' on my two print heads.  I cleaned the Black/Yellow Printhead (which was dirty) and electrical contacts.  There is no break in the inktubes.  Original HP cartridges were full (although with all attempts to realign and clean, they are now all almost empty).  Print quality report shows no white dark lines or gaps in the Test focus3.  The reason for Test 1 shows and connected lines.  Focus 2 shows not yellow, but without streaks white through any of the colored blocks.

So I think I've covered everything except the replacement of the print head.

The question is to know if I can wait that it will change the situation to change the print head or if I have to get the printer serviced - and, as it is out of warranty, if it means that the cost of the service outweighs the balance of the cost of obtaining a new printer.

What do people think?  Is that what sounds like a new printhead will correct the situation?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Cherniack,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

On the Officejet 8500 has not not printing yellow and all the troubleshooting steps you have done, I would say that Yes. Replacement of the print head would be your next best step.

Even if the printer is out of warranty, the print head may be covered. It is guaranteed is distinct from the printer and is located on the side of the printhead:

If your print head is under warranty and you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all the other regions, click here.

I just change my ink cartridge for the first time and when you're done I received a message that I should write in ink instant program.    I am registered at the time that I bought the printer.   How can I check that.

    Hi @DanMcCarter.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you are asked to register your printer after installing Instant ink cartridges. I would like to help.

You can check your registration by connecting to your instant account of ink at instantink.com

It could be that the printer is unable to connect to the server or he fell the account. It may be a replacement printer?
