  • Looking for a block of POWER 500 ~ 550W that fits HP pavilion 500-023w desktop

I bought a Dynex 520w ATX PSU for HP pavilion 500-023w.  This power supply is about 1.5 cm longer than the original and just, it does not in my computer.  It is too big.

Previously, I had Thermaltake TR2 430w PSU.  This is of same size as the original power supply. But it won't last even 3 months. IDK, maybe it's not enough for geforce 2 650.

I'm looking for a PSU that adapts to the 500-023w Pavilion and able to run 650 geforce.

Please can someone recommend some PSU?

After watching the dynex 520was reference, it is noted that it is the depth 6.3 "on this case. What you asked has a power supply with only 5.5 "deep. These meet your requirement.

Rosewill 530W or 630W, as these two are depth 5.5 ".

No OCZ in the range of 500W which is depth 5.5 "

Corsair 500w 5.5 "depth, the Corsair CX600 might be a good choice, but it is sold out at this time.

Any of these will provide a GTX 650 card needs. I love the Rosewill 630W. It will draw only what suits him.

  • Must regularly restart the DHCP Client - HP Pavilion 500-205 DT - Windows 7

    HP Pavilion 500-205 DT - Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller - pilot 7.67.1226.2012

Bought 3 identical machines for our daycare. Set up the same. All work fine except ONE of them becomes inaccessible periodically (every day more or less) on other computers on our small LAN-to-peer Windows. You can see, but cannot access any shared folder. To access OTHER computers on the local network of it there is NO problem. All 3 machines have the same profile sharing, workgroup, permissions, AV, firewall, all settings. I realized by restarting the computer solved the problem immediately but temporarily. I reduced to restart the DHCP Client service. Do all works well immediately, but temporarily.

    I tried the things:

Call support HP - not useful at all. It is under warranty.

    IPv6 disabled

    Disabled wireless

Disabled network card stopcock energy saving

Definition of recovery CLIENT DHCP on:

First failure = restarting the Service

Second failure = restarting the Service

Subsequent failures = restarting the Service

Reset Fail Count after = 120

Restart the Service after = 0

But again, this is not the case for other machines with the default settings. Nothing works except the Client DHCP service is restarted. Loss of access occurs with or without someone connected or using it. It has happened since its first establishment.

I don't know if the HP warranty covers the OS loaded at the factory. I don't want to restore the thing and start over. I'm not a Pro, just the guy in the office who did these things, but it seems that the network card may be faulty. I don't know if I can convince a person of first level support phone to have me bring the machine in an approved place.

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Larry

First of all, try to click on the Windows icon, type services in the start search box, and then click or tap on the advice of local Services. Scroll down to the Windows Installer. Startup type must be - automatic and the service status should be - has begun. Restart the computer after this stage and try to reinstall.

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook and P2PP Burnboot could not install. I have seen that date back to 2012 first of all, and then by a default BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. • Pavilion 500-054: reloading Windows 8 new hard drive

Hello. I had a drive hard failure and have installed a brand new. I don't have the recovery disk. My question is how can I get Windows 8 original OS back on my new HDD without having to buy a whole new full version of Windows 8? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I'd be discouraged for sure.  If you want to reinstall Windows 8 and that you can get at least that works, maybe you can run recovery of the value inside the OS after installation.  SEE HERE for installation of the OS, but you will need all the drivers for the HP support page to make it work.  I think that if I was going to all this trouble, I then install Windows 10 for free.

  • Pavilion 500: Not the Windows partitions?

Got a desktop Pavilion 500 series computer.  No recovery disk came with it.  Is this so its been now, or disks were supposed to come with the machine?  If you have a HD failure, contact HP for a set right there?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You should find that the PC has a manager called recovery software that allows you to create 1 set of your own recovery media - see the document on the link below for more details.

  • Pavilion 500-164: motherboard replacement raises Questions

Thanks, Malygris1, for your very comprehensive answer.  Unfortunately, I'm looking forward and installed the new Board of Directors.  For those faced with replacing a motherboard HP, I will elaborate on my trip.  The most important step was in buying for the motherboard.  I have no HP, but from a dealer on Ebay.  I DID, however, carefully note the model of the motherboard AND the designated HP part number of alternatives on a small paper on the motherboard label.  The same motherboard model is used in several models of HP Office; but, if the number of HP spare parts is matched, the info on the model should be on the motherboard.

My original problems were solved with the installation of the new Council.  After a router struck by lightning, the ethernet port had stopped working, and when told to stop, or in standby mode, the machine would invariably restart.  The new motherboard solved both problems, which seem to be related to the power surge.

I installed the new Board of Directors of the Windows 10 updated 500-164 and held my breath I have it powered for the first time.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that everything looked the same as when I left it.  Recognized support assistant the new Board of Directors as part of a desktop computer 500-164.  I have not tried; but I hope that the recovery media will work, if necessary.  Malygris1, do you think that if Support Assistant recognizes the info on the model, the recovery disks will work?  I'm curious to know how it works, but, if not, no big deal, as I now have a new image Acronis 10 Windows installation, which works perfectly on the 500-164 Pavilion (without "Pitfalls", as some have reported with audio, etc. of the wireless card.).

My second concern was whether or not Windows is always activated with the installation of the new Council.  He said that he "Windows is not activated.  ... Rats and other profanity.  I know it can take time to be put in correspondence with the info from Microsoft, so I updated the bios and checked the rest of the ports for the features of the machine.  I returned in configuration/system Panel and he told me that the activation information were "unavailable" - different from the message 'not active' sooner.  I've been waiting on this screen for a few minutes and the message changed to "Windows is activated"!  I was ready to make Microsoft telephone activation and I had run a keyfinder to get the original MS product key for Windows 8 from the hard drive, but I didn't have to use both methods.

So, in summary, if you want a card mother 'replacement', shop for the exact number of spare parts HP; not only the MFG part number.  It will save you a lot of grief.  Obviously, if you want to 'upgrade' from your motherboard, all bets are off, because it's a totally different scenario with different issues to deal with.  My project was a complete success at a cost of $103 for the new motherboard and several hours of my time.

  • 23-1015 Pavilion: Pavilion 23-1015 installed windows and now not wifi

I have a HP Pavilion while a 23-1015, he had some virus on it so I tried to restore the plant. Ended up having to reinstall windows 7 on it. He said that was not installed the driver for my network connections, so I downloaded the hp Realtek driver. Still no luck. It says device disconnected or broken. Wireless was fine until I have restore. Someone has an idea what is happening?

    Hello:

I think you need this driver so that the wireless card to work... The Realtek driver is for the wired network adapter.

This package provides the driver for Ralink Wireless LAN Card solutions in the supported models that are running a supported operating system.

    Integrated Intel HD graphics

    10 64-bit Windows Home

    Marc, welcome to the forum.

Yes, I think that your motherboard should be compatible with the video card.  The card requires UEFI in the motherboard and your mother should have.  Just be aware that the specifications concerning the State of the map that it requires only a power supply (PSU) with 300W power.  Many members have reported that it is rather 400W.  You can try with the current POWER supply, but if this does not work I suggest one made by Corsair.  I recommend at least 500W.

I think you're right and I should trash the drive. As a test I put it up to clone the drive. I used a good working computer thinking I'll clone from a player well known to those in question. Guess what!  The test did not clone to disc. Since that was the case he told me that the drive is history. While I was there I cloned the drive well known to an SSD with the same configuration and everything worked fine!
