HP Pavilion g7-1311nr Notebook: have a question

My girlfriend has a HP Pavilion G7-1311nr computer laptop Laptop. Now his laptop is almost the same as mine. Except the serial number and the product are different. But I can use my recovery dvd on his laptop? cause when she ordered the recovery kit. It came with the first recovery disk. It came with the second and the third disc. Not the first disc. I have all of them. I'm not sure why HP did not include the first recovery disc in the package she ordered. This back in 2013.She still has a copy of the invoice.

I have known of some models of desktop sharing a common defined recovery if manufactured in the same neighborhood, but it's a longshot with your two laptops. There is a part number disks and check to see if it matches his record.

Some models are delivered with only two drives. Whole says disk 2 of 3 and 3/3?

Fact F11 for > boot in the recovery of the partition of hard drive still work?

  • HP Pavilion g7-1311nr: I have a problem.

My girlfriend has a laptop HP Pavilion g7-1311nr. Now I have commanded him a set of drive recovery in 09-18 - 2013.And, that it came with the first recovery disk. It came with the second and the third disc. I know I've waited for a long time. But how she can use them without the first disc of reocvery? She thinks that she should have to rebuy cause of error of hp. They should have included the complete kit. And not ship with one of the disks. I understand its too late to get his money back. But she wants answers on how to solve this problem.

Really? two years later? What do you reasonably expect to have done? The sets are no longer available at HP. What version of Windows is it? Is the original software to factory still on it? They come with a program that will burn its own recovery disks and hard drive came with a partition that will make a recovery without disks. The hard drive has been replaced at some point?

  • HP Pavilion g6-2249wm Notebook: RAM upgrade question

When I ordered my laptop a few years, there is, it came with 4 GB of RAM standard, but you could spend up to a maximum of 8 GB to 6 GB. I bought it with 6 GB. I want to move to 8 GB, and I know there are 2 RAM slots in the laptop. My question is, did they use a 6 GB stick in one of the slots or the fact that they use a 4 gb one and one 2g in the other? Im hoping to get a response, so I don't have to open it up and look for myself. I don't know if I should order a 2 GB or 4 GB a stick to get up to 8 GB.  That being said, someone knows if HP would be put in a 6 GB stick or run a 4 GB and 2 GB as a whole? IM assuming they put in a single 6 GB and I just need to buy a upgrade 2bg. Thank you

Moreover, it would go better if I just replaced it and got a bar of 8 GB of RAM?

I can tell without looking or read whatever it is, that it isn't just a 6 gig of memory because those who are not 'a thing' as the kids say. You can actually get a software called Belarc Advisor to do the dirty work and interrogate the locations of memory and tell you what is in it or them.

    http://www.Belarc.com/free_download.html

But since there is no 6 concert sticks; only 2, 4 and 8, we know that you have a 2 gig and a 4 GB and you can mix the 2 and add a 4.

The laptop will not support 8 modules of concert and it will work better with 2 of the same size due to something called mode memory dual channel which is only used when you have two identical modules. So yes, you need to duplicate the existing 4 GB module for a total of 8 and you will see a modest but noticeable improvement in speed.

I'm a little curious as to why you want to upgrade to a BluRay burner.

You can watch movies online without additional expenditure on this issue.

Here is a link to the guide for maintenance and Service of your laptop. He has illustrated parts list that gives the part numbers of the units that will fit your laptop.

You can upgrade to an SSD. It provides incredibly fast access times that make it a true performance upgrade. Consider buying an SSD in migrat kit which includes a usb cable to sata and cloning software. I highly recommend the Samsung and SSD Crucial players.

  • HP Pavilion 15-p263nl: 2nd HARD drive cart, replace the optical drive for HP Pavilion p263nl 15 Notebook PC & Windows 10

    Hi all!

I intend to add an SSD for my HP Pavilion p263nl-15 Notebook PC. I found some sites that I can remove the optical drive and put a second drive using a caddy adapter in the optical drive Bay. I found that some people on the forum did it successfully, but nothing on my PC model. I want to know if he could work with my product.

In other words, there is my plan:

1 remove the real disk HDD hard bay and replace it with the new SSD.

    2. remove the optical drive and replace it with the adapter caddy containing my old HDD.

    3. do a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD using a USB key recovery made with my real Windows 10 system (which has been updated from Windows 8.1 July 2016).

I already have a 120 GB OCZ SSD (OCZ Vertex 3).

I have a few questions before buying the adapter:

1 - the two drives (my old HDD and the new SSD) are recognized by the motherboard / BIOS and the operating system (Windows, 10)? Is there a limit to a unique HARD/SSD disk drive on the computer?

2 should. What size the card be? I found offers for 9.5 mm and 12.7 mm that are supposed to be suitable for HP Pavilion in general

3 - these parts work together and with my computer (size, compatibility)? You can expect any problems with this upgrade?

4 - clean install Windows 10 quote, because I intend to install it on a different drive than the one I used to create the key USB recovery flash? I have never done a clean install of Windows before.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Alessandro

p.s. in this section of the forum (where I took most of the post), the solution worked almost perfectly, but it's a different product of the Pavilion 15 ^^

    Hello

    1. Yes,

    2. your machines use 9.5 mm SATA Tray,

3 problem? I can't answer this question because who knows nothing until the track.

    4. I don't know how you create USB recovery but a good new installation should work.

  • HP Pavilion g6-1304sv Notebook: RAM upgrade

    Hello, again!

This time, I would like to ask a question about RAM. I have this laptop... HP Pavilion g6-1304sv Notebook... and I want to add some memory to my 4 GB I have already. My laptop is a RAM like this... AData 4 GB 1333 MHz PC3-10600. So my question is: do I have to add an another AData, exactly the same thing? Can I add a RAM from another manufacturer, I don't know, like the one used... MUSHKIN 4 GB DIMM DDR3 PC3-10666 1333 MHZ... ? They are basically the same, I think, I mean 1600 PC3 is like PC3 10666, right? Is there a problem here?

I would like your opinion on the matter, thank you!

The Mushkin from newegg for $15.99 works perfectly. The Adata and the Mushkin as you note are essentially the same and will work together.

  • HP Pavilion g6-1313sh Notebook: dual Radeon graphics card - cannot enter bios mode fixed

    Hello!

I recently bought this laptop apart from my friend and is struggling with this for a few weeks now.

I was on the forum every day for a few hours without result.

so, my laptop is HP Pavilion 1313sh g6 with Win7. I have the latest version of the bios, so I could put my gpu bios mode set instead of dynamic.

Here's the problem... When my setting was dynamic, I got the "switchable graphics" option and I could put the preset by application. as many people pointed out, it really does not work, so I went back to fix.

This option is now missing. so I tried in CCC, following this: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03048374 in the fixed bit.

It is, I have no change option... I only get the graphics card AMD Radeon Dual 'activate' or disable... but not the button to switch permanently to the highest performance card... checked in CCC, it recognize my 2 cards under hardware (1st HD6520G 2nd is Hd7400M).

I start to tear up the rest of my hair. Please can someone tell me what I miss? as said, the most recent drivers from the site is all settled.

    Thank you!

    Hi @SmokeyJohnny ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion g6-1313sh Notebook and issues with graphics switchable. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

If this does not resolve the problem would be to uninstall the graphics drivers listed in your device manager. Reboot the laptop and it must be reinstalled the proper drivers. Yours is the AMD Radeon HD 6520 + 7450 Mr. here are your drivers if you need.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion tx2117cl Entertainment Notebook - driver problems

We have a tx2117cl, HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook originally shipped with windows Vista 32 bit.  At one point a year or two before, I had a disc of Windows 7 and installed.  Later my husband started having problems with the machine - either by malicious software or something else.  We have a 2nd computer, so I really don't have much with it until last week.  We decided it would be a computer good work at home for 10 years.

I erased the disc using KillDisk and reinstalled Windows 7.  We were not able to access the partition of recovery... that was part of our original problem.

In any case, now... it seems that almost everything works when I look in Device Manager... with the exception of what we call a coprocessor.  Indicates that the driver is not installed and the device does not work.  When we try to play video games crash, the system sometimes stops on us.

In my view, that it is a map of nVidia GeForce 6150 chipset driver.  I tried to install some drivers that have been proposed in other threads forums here, but I always get a message at the start of the installation of nVidia that it is incompatible.  I also tried to run the installation as an administrator and run the program in Vista and XP compatibility mode... same message.

I'm at the point now that I'm almost ready to recovery disks order and clean the disk and restore factory settings.   Can I still use the Win7 OS on another computer.  But I thought that I would try once more to find someone who has an answer that could help me.  Any help would be appreciated.

Also... If I can't find an answer, and I order the recovery disks... I have a question.  The Vista operating system on drives will have a product key included.  We cannot find the discs or the documentation that came with the machine... and he now has the product key Windows 7 low.  We must have pasted on there... on top of the Vista one, and now I can't not to him.  Sigh...

    Thanks in advance!

    Diane

    Hi, Diane:

This should be the driver that you need for the coprocessor.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-56970-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2100&Product=3691981&sw_lang=

You probably also need the video driver because windows installs a generic video driver and you may not notice this isn't the one you need.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-70238-2&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2100&Product=3691981&sw_lang=

If the pilot does not automatically install, you can try to install manually by going to Device Manager, click the display section, click standard VGA card, then click the driver tab.

Click on set to update driver. Select travel it my computer for the software method, navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.

    Who will be in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

When you restart, you should have the correct driver installed for the video card.

You should not need the product key when you use Vista HP recovery disks.

  • HP Pavilion p076sa-15 Notebook PC with i5?

Hi, I'm looking for and I like the blue on the HP Pavilion p076sa-15 Notebook PC but the i3 processor is not enough because I'm looking for. I was wondering if there is any way to upgrade the i3 processor i5 but keeping the color? Of course, I have to pay for the i5. To clarify:

With the color of this laptop: http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=7244390

If someone could comment on if this would be possible and how I could do that, then that would be great.

    Hello

    Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04402649.pdf

    Page 28: 29-
You have to change the motherboard of the system to achieve this.

Your current CPU had 1.9 GHz clock with no technology speed turbo boost.
Boards with compatible high i5 processors are 4210U, 4200U with clock speed lower 1.7 & 1.6 GHz with turbo boost up to 2.7 and 2.6 which is good to see.

This is the processor ultra low voltage ones, I'm not expecting a major boost in performance however.

    Its your opinion,.

Rather I can plan for upgradation of SSD instead of HARD drive to get a major change in the performance,

I have listed compatible SSD in your manual, but I don't see it's any question by going to improve you have to choose only compatible SATA II or III those with identical pin & dimensions as your current HARD drive.
Samsung 840 EVO/PRO is known to be a good market today.

    Kind regards
