HP pavilion touchsmart d020nr: replacement motherboard

I have a hp pavilion touchsmart d020nr.  The motherboard is dead and had to be replaced.  The motherboard in the laptop was part 737148-501 number, which has an AMD processor.  So I decided to replace this motherboard with one that supports an Intel processor.  This reference is 737137-501.  The problem is that I also need to buy a processor intel CPU.  Since laptops are very picky with what processor is used in each motherboard, I was wonderfing if someone kinew which Intel processor is approiate.  I know it must be mapped to the chipset.  Everyone can offer a suggestion.  I was considering an I3 or I5 a.

Make sure you've got the right part number? Your manual lists this part:

Graphics UMA, chipset Intel HM76, Windows 8 Standard 747137-501 but not 737137-501

You can use the - 3230M or the i3 - i5 3110M

  • HP Pavilion Elite e9180t - replacement motherboard

So some time, HP has done a service to replace motherboards on defective Elite systems.  There was even a Web site configuration to help with it (www.hpelitedesktopsettlement.com).

Unfortunately, the site is no longer active and all links to HP's internal documentation are not valid as well.

One of my clients has long lived with the random blue screens, and we're finally going through the review process it.

Who should I contact to get this replaced motherboard?

Please see the information available on the HP Pavilion Elite Desktop Class Action Lawsuit settlement on the LWSEP for the HP Pavilion Elite e9150t, e9180f, e9180t, m9600t, m9650f, e9280f, e9280t and computers e9290f. "If the court approves the proposed settlement, HP will post on its website a notice on repair program with instructions on how to make eligible arrangements to receive a repair. You will have 90 days after this notice was posted to contact HP for repair repair. "It seems that HP has posted the LWSEP notice on or around 12/01/2011 and that's why you got until about 01/03/2012 to take advantage of the LWSEP.

Previously, I suggested that people "contact HP customer support directly and see if they will replace the Commission under this program has expired." Please post back with your results. If you are not successful, I can try to contact HP on your part.

  • Pavilion 17-F037cl: laptop motherboard replacement

I got this laptop was given to me by my aunt. I love the look of this laptop, but I do some light games, and I would like to know if it is possible to buy a replacement motherboard for an other motherboards series HP 17 F, as cases seem to all look pretty much the same. The idea behind what some of them have much better form. I googled around for that matter and have not anywhere near an answer. I've already upgraded to 8gig of ram and an SSD and moved my stock HARD drive in the optical drive Bay. These upgrades he accelerated, but being the gfx integrated apu, nothing works with it. So was my thinking just replace the whole motherboard with one who enters my case and has much better features. MY budget is about $ 200 for the motherboard.

$200 won't even touch a whole new motherboard of HP. These recent Pavilion 17 models may look similar, but you must use one of exactly of the same series. Your mobile PC is an AMD A8-6410. The CPU is soldered to the motherboard. The stronger and better compatible motherboard would be:

    AMD M260 A10 - 5745M (2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz, 4 MB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L, quad core, 25 W) for use with Windows
Standard HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC 763428-501

That would give you a little more fast processor and graphics card.

    HP gets $311 for her:

    PartSurfer

    Your manual

The part is too recent to be available anywhere, but at HP. Maybe 6 months, it will be available on the secondary market, perhaps as low as $200.

  • HP Pavilion HPE h8-1114 Deskto: replacement motherboard on HP desktop PC

Given there are too many problems with the motherboard of Pegatron IPISB-CU (Carmel2) on a HP PC that is 4 years old as my blu - ray player and dvd player not working not both at the same time, the video card fan died won't spend countless hours searching the same replacement of a video card that will not play new games. Recent maps have new bios UEFI which are not compatible with the map of Pegatron that I and most of the companies do not have BIOS custom to make the card work with the motherboard. I thought about replacing the motherboard and try to push it another 2 years. However I have a few questions about this process.

First, WILL the Intel Intel Core i5 2400 processor currently on the HP PC will work with another different Board or is LOCKED to the current configuration of the motherboard and will not work with any replacement motherboard? How about the memory sticks? I know that Intel makes their products compatible with their own products and the upgrade/replacement by other non approved parts HP will not work with their products.

How will be my Windows 7 installation is affected by the replacement of motherboar? I have to do custom / clean install of Windows 7, or I'll still be able to use the Suite of recovery in the PC to re - install Windows 7?

I'm not planning to upgrade the power supply on the PC because I'm shopping for a low-power video (not the means.) map And I also know that if I update the motherboard, I know that I lose the wireless/Bluetooth card and the card reader because it has a secondary power supply that I did not see in any other configuration of the motherboard.

Or simply scrap system and start from scratch. I can't believe my $900 luck down the drain in less than 4 years.

Upon reflection, while I do not normally give replacement Advisor, these two motherboard will work with the CPU and the memory that is currently in your PC

    Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1

    ASUS P8H67-M LX

Being that they are not current models, so that he may be uneven buy locations.  I will leave that option open.  These form factors (case plug Assembly) is not compatible with the present case.   Check the mounting options in the current case vs buying a new case.

    Other issues, keep me posted.

  • Pavilion TouchSmart 23-f364: Hp Pavilion 23-f364 BIOS "finds it difficult to" hard drive Detection

I have a HP Pavilion TouchSmart f364 23 for Christmas in 2013 and in 2014, the hard drive has begun to act. I would like to turn on the computer and it does not detect the drive or does not see the files it contains. The CD drive is detected and works all the time. I've updated the BIOS, I replaced the drive with a brand new, and since the old is in an external hard drive enclosure works like new money. The computer will always have problems in windows being blockages, then crashes. I looked for the reasons of the accident and they were due to mistakes of disk access. After reboot, the drive is not detected. In Ubuntu, the drive is detected and accessible (but I can't get the windows partition to mount, with the error "Windows is put in hibernation," even with the quick start off and a full stop). The point is that Ubuntu can see and access the drive to boot from the drive itself (if possible) and a live USB. Ubuntu will crash as or experience access errors, but when restart the BIOS sees not the disc. The disc turn and accesses a little bit, but nothing happens. In addition to the exchange of discs, I also swapped sata ports on the mobo with no luck, and power connectors are different, so no swap it. I want to know now if replace HARD drive cable may solve the problem or if I need to replace the mobo or this computer is just cursed. (Father: when I asked for a desktop I do not mean all in one)

TL; DR: The Bios does not detect hard drive or detect but once at random, at random, windows crashes because of this, Ubuntu works perfectly well and has access to disk drive and boot Live, bios does not always detect drive. Tried upgrading BIOS, replacement drive and swapping mobo ports sata, no luck, CD player works great every time. You want to know if buying a new HARD drive cable works or if it is the mobo which is bad.

Also note: when I updated the BIOS it says it resets the CMOS and I repeatedly loaded by default in the BIOS settings. I have found but not yet tried the CMOS clear jumper.

Thank you for posting. I read your post and I understand that the old hard drive can operate as an external drive, but the new drive and the old disk cannot be detected in the BIOS. You can run hardware diagnostics to test the motherboard and hard drive. If the motherboard and the hard disc as well spent, you can consider if it is a cable problem.

    Hello

No, you can't upgrade graphic on your machine. You need to replace the WHOLE motherboard (= purchase new machine). Please read the mnual from your link, it is clearly stated on page #1:

The processors are attached to the system board (means soldered to the motherboard)

  • Pavilion Touchsmart 23: Pavilion 23 Touchsmart screen dim after sleep Windows 10

    Pavilion Touchsmart 23 all-in-One model f339

    AMD Radeon HD D 8670

My screen is too dark, after that the computer "wakes up" fashion "sleep" I can read only now my face one inch away. Reboot brings the brightness back to normal, only to happen again the next time that the computer sleeps. This has only started happening since the upgrade of Windows 8 to 10 of Windows.

    -All drivers are up-to-date

    -All Windows updates are up-to-date

-There is no brightness slider in power options

-I have no brightness control on my keyboard

Please help me solve this problem, so I don't have to go back to Windows 8! Thank you in advance.

I think I might have made some progress with this problem. I had a friend call me and he suffered from these same questions. The partial solution (and probably most) I've discovered is that there is a critical update of the BIOS that had not been done. Because Windows 10 was already installed, it didn't appear on the page to Support HP or HP update software. The way I had the time it was to say the HP website that I had Windows 8.1. The update then appeared. I downloaded the BIOS for its model was last updated and installed. (BTW: it worked great in Windows 10). Once I've upgraded, the dark screen problem has been resolved. However, as long as the screen saver, night light or auto Hibernate still does not work. You can manually put the computer to sleep via a button or the start menu, and he returned very well. His was an AMD based all-in-one and I don't remember not if someone had problems with the Intel based platforms.

So, to summarize... If you have not installed 10 still make sure you BIOS update first. If you have goto, the Web site and enter your model. Replace the Windows 8.1 operating system. Download and install.

If anyone has more of an insight, please answer others to take advantage. Good luck and enjoy Windows 10. And if anyone has a solution for the problem of sleep/sleep/screensaver please respond.
