  My C4780 will not install on my computer laptop dv7. I downloaded the current software on the HP site and tried to use the disc that came with the printer. In both cases, that the installation program begins to run, goes through four steps and when it is installing updates, it disappears from the screen. I do not understand that because it has been installed and operating at once through my wireless network and still work on my desk. I totally uninstalled all the software before you try to reinstall.   Sorry it took so long to get back but things have been hectic. I really believe that my problem was one or more files that are damaged somewhere, so I took the easy way and installed Windows 10. After that I installed the printer and everything is fine now. But I really appreciate your help.

  HP Photosmart 3210 will not install on a brand new desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  I downloaded the latest software, and when I run it, the installation window disappears shortly after it starts.  No error message.  I ran into several related issues lately.  I can't install a ScanJet 5590 on a new laptop running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.  Said it ends, but nothing is installed.   Could the fact that there are other HP printers installed on these computers (network printers) installed using driver only before attempting to install the software cause problems?  I spent hours trying to solve these.

  If the software is always installed, tell him you'll connect later.

  • How is the printer connected, wireless, Ethernet or USB?

  • What is the operating system you use, Windows or Mac? What version?

  Help! Bought a new laptop, tried to install the Photosmart B8350 printer, and it fails. I had email HP support and followed their instructions, used the link to download the driver, tried to install it in the selective startup, etc etc, I tried to many times (HOURS), each time starting from scratch. The last email from HP told me to ring a such no (60 p per minute) that I did, to order the CD of form pilot because he could not install driver downloaded. First time it cuts me, second time that he told me that I could not order CD driver, they would not help. So why HP told me to ring their? He told me that I had to order website, so I followed the link, and it took me to a third party site, who said they couldn't help. Where should I go now? I have an expensive printer, a new laptop, and absolutely no functionality! Microsoft Help referred me to HP, Toshiba (laptop) refer me to HP. Please someone take pity. Should I give up?

  Thanks to this forum! I have read thousands of threads and can't remember who wrote that worked for me, but I know that I am very grateful. This worked was going through the Device Manager, show hidden devices and clicking the printer, hey presto, I am in business.

• HP Photosmart C6380 will not install on windows 8.1 after upgrade. Can print but not scan.

  I recently updated my windows 8.0 to 8.1 Dell desktop and my 6380 photosomart would not work.  I downloaded the updated driver, and the installer hangs on "rotating disc icon" who then disappears.  It seems that the print function has been installed, but the printer doesn't scan.  Multiple level 4 uninstalls, restarts as well as disabling the firewall during installation;  I can print but not scan.   I know that the printer works fine I can scan my laptop.

  If you are still having the problem with the installation of your printer on your system Windows 8.1, I would try to help out. I read your post and saw that you tried several level 4 uninstalls and still have the same problem installing. I'll post you a few of my recommendations.

  • First of all, I would recommend a clean boot. How to make a boot in Windows (click on Windows 8.1 and follow the steps).
  • After you restart the computer from the boot, complete an uninstall of level 4, you have done previously.
  • When the computer restarts after uninstalling, reinstalling the software: series all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart C6300/6324 full feature software and driver
  • Afterwards, return to the clean boot procedure to activate the disabled services.

  Recently, I upgraded my modem and in the process lost my Photosmart C4280. For reasons I can't remember and am curse - I uninstalled the software and have since tried to reinstall, but every time that it says that it cannot find the printer. All my cables are fine. I use a Mac 10.6.8.

  Any help appreciated.

  We will try to launch the scrubber, and then reinstall the software.

  1) click the Go menu (click on the desktop, then watch the menu in the bar at the top of the page)

  (2) select Applications

  (3) select the Hewlett Packard folder (if it is not there, then you can skip this step all)

  (4) to select the program to uninstall HP

  (5) click on continue

  (6) select the printer.  Press and hold down Ctrl + Options + order at the same time the keys on the keyboard (Apple).

  (7) click on uninstall

  (8) you will get a pop-up window - "Are you sure want to uninstall all the HP software"

  9) click OK to continue

  After doing the above, reinstall the software via Apple Software Update.

  My two printers of HP Photosmart C4780 will not install in windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit.  I tried 3 different computers

  using the specified software PS_AIO_06_C4700_USW_Full_Win_enu_140_175.exe

  And the computers refuse to install this driver under win7.

  On windows xp, these same printers to install without any difficulty.

  Open Windows Update by clicking on the button start . In the search box, type Services and then in the list of results, click Windows Installer. Check to see if it is manual or automatic.  and if the service was stopped.  Must they be status type Windows install (middle of page): automatic

  The service status should say Started.

  Then try to reinstall download of www.hp.com/support.

  I have an iMac and upgraded to Mavrick. Now my scanner, Photosmart C4780, does not scan. I have HP scan, 2.4.0(5), that has worked well before.   I saw your post on the problems you are having with a sweep on the Mavericks.  I checked the drivers available and there is no driver available for the Mavericks scanning. However, there are solutions to analyze.

  Click on the link below and choose 'How to scan with the Apple Software Update driver?' and then you will see 3 methods, choose one of them.

  In my view, that it is a software HP printer problem. Please, try the following:

  If you have the HP software on your PC support (printers, etc.)
  the disc when the pop-up window displays a location '1'. Click Browse
  then open the HP disc in the CD drive. A named icon status should
  appear. Click on this icon and load. This will get rid of the
  Status.msi loop.

  If you do not have the original disc. Uninstall HP Photosmart all-in-One Driver software and HP update program - then only reinstall the HP Photosmart all-in-One Driver software. Do not update, just live with it. The web link for the full features of the software download is provided below.

• HP Solution Center will not install

  I installed the F4180 Deskjet on my Windows 2000 computer.  Printer works fine but I wanted to check the ink levels and could ' t find the HP Solution Center software.  No registration under program files.  So I released the CD and tried to install again.  There was never an indication that he was installing the Solution Center or HP photosmart software.  So I clicked on run and entered in D:/Setup/SolutionCenter.  It finds the file solutioncenter.msi and a list of zip files that are identified as central to solution.  I have dbl. solutioncenter.msi-click and I get the message "Setup has encountered an unexpected error installing this package.  This may indicate a problem with this package.  The error code is 2732. "So I uninstalled everything and only reinstalled under mode in advance where I am supposed to be able to approve all items being installed.  Well it has finished installing and the last screen said there may be additional screens that appear to guide you through the intstallation of additional software.  No screens never not appeared, and I still haven't installed HP or HP Photosmart software solutions Center.  The CD is damaged?  How can I get this software?

  The Solution Center will not install on Windows 2000. It is not a bug/problem, but that's just the way it was designed (don't ask me why). If you need to check the ink level, then you have to go to the Toolbox of the printer on the printer properties page.

  OS X El Capitan is already bundled with AirPort Utility v6.x. It seems that you try to install the older v5.x for the utility. Unfortunately, this older version will not install on later versions of OS X.

  If you require administer an older 802.11 g AirPort access point you will need a Mac running OS X Lion or earlier or a Windows XP or 7 PC.
