  • printing from usb 1102w

I have been using a 1102w wireless but has recently moved to a place without wifi and tried to print using a usb cable instead but were unsuccessful. What is required to print via USB? Thank you!

    @newlaserjetuser

Just to clarify, you want to use this printer via the USB cable only. If so, then please uninstall all SW downloaded and installed from your laptop.

You can uninstall the SW by going to the start menu > HP folder > p1102 folder > uninstall the printer. Go to your C: / / drive > Program Files > HP folder > delete a folder that has the name of the p1102 on that file. Clean up your trash. Restart your computer.

Download and install a new driver for the product on hp.com page. This will ensure that you have a new updated driver. Follow the instructions to install SW. One of the first screens you will be asked what you want connection/installation method, choose USB. It will tell you when to connect your printer. The installation will be slow, so be patient.

  • Cannot print through USB on Windows 8 router, but can through windows 7 and Vista

    Problem:

I have a printer that works for both computers windows 7 and vista.  I have two computers windows 8 that do not work.
    Material:
    laptop Toshiba P50 brand new.
Router Asus RT - N16 rooted with the TomatoUSB firmware.
    Printer/scanner color Samsung CLX-3180.
    Symptoms:
I can get the printer to operate if connected directly via USB.  The new Samsung universal of the generic drivers work.
Even the driver connected via TCP/IP causes the printer to beep and the power wheels to run but nothing comes out.  It looks like windows and the printer think print things.
    What I've tried so far:
Uninstalled all printer drivers and ports.  Then reinstalled with fresh downloaded drivers.  I had to erase the registry because pilots and port were considered to be in use.
I have disabled the firewall without result.

I fixed it finally I think.

    Here's what I did.
-Deleted all drivers in the system.  (1) remove the 2 devices) remove the driver through "(propriétés dele de serveur d'impression 3) delete all created ports through"the print server properties""
-Download the new drivers. type 64-bit
-printer installed using Samsung universal driver 2 and player USB connection as required by the manufacture.
-installed the TCP/IP port using the TomatoUSB facility and former driver of windows 7.  (wrong system to not check to see if the printer is online)  The pilot was CLX-3180
-Changed the driver properties Advanced printer to "Sansung Universal Driver 2" tab
-Change of printer model for Samsung CLX-3180 in the printer - Options tab of the device properties.
-L' printer select clicked the button when changing the port.  Don't know what it does.

  • Suddenly unable to print: Vista, Canon MP460

We can now print from our PC's X 3200 Acer Vista for our Canon MP460 printer/scanner.  The PC is around the age of 2 months and feel initially worked well.  However, for these last days any function related to the impression siezes up as unresponsive, leading to having to use the Task Manager to close it.  This applies not only to send a doc to print (the doc is displayed as "printing" print queue, but nothing happens), but also try to display Ports in the printer - properties.  We also have problems of suppression is not the queue documents - even if we can force by restarting the PC.  The USB connection between the PC and the printer looks OK - we are able to scan the docs who then normally save on PC, and the copy is too thin.
    So far, we tried:
    (i) uninstall/reinstall print two drivers CD supplied and the Canon Web site.  Some attempts have been frozen, others said that they were unable to completely uninstall.
(ii) if stop/restart the spooler via a command prompt CMD.  Tried this because some discussion forums referring to known issues with Vista and printers: http://www.vistax64.com/vista-print-fax-scan/75468-printer-always-offline.html

Don't know what else to try, any suggestions welcome!
    Thank you

    I'm stuck,
Here are a couple more things to try.  First of all, try to plug the USB cable into another USB port.  If it is connected to a USB hub, try plugging directly on the computer.

Go to services: click Start > Control Panel > administrative tools > Services and check to see if the service "mpservice" is running.  Make sure it is set to automatic and is started.

If you have not already, see this download:

Now have a computer of a1430n of hp with Vista sp2, software loaded Epson 1520, including updates.

Had to change the connector cable 25-pin to 25-pin too USB cable. (cable attaches h/f for conversion too USB.)

Cable gender changers can be problomatic, some work better than others.

Assuming that you have a desktop computer and your old Epsom made Vista drivers available, your best bet may be a PCI card with the corrrect series / parallel port to connect directly to your Epsom

  • LaserJet 4 does not print via USB

I have a Laserjet 4V that I recently bought a USB cable so I could connect to my HP M9252p under Vista 64-bit Home Premium computer. When I plugged the cable U he said it had detected new hardware and install. However, he didn't add the printer to the printer list. Then manually, I have added the printer and assigned via local port USB001. When I went to print test page it says it was sent to the printer, but neither made an impression or even appear in the queue. I checked the pilot site and it says that the driver is under Vista so I am current. Just to be safe, I disconnected and connected to my laptop HP 6910P XP and he acknowledged and I could start printing immediately. Would like to print from my desktop machine.

It may be under Vista, but you did not say that you have installed the

  • Windows 7 connection parallel printer laptop USB - someone at - it managed?

I want to connect my printer Deskjet 722C for my new laptop Windows 7 USB port parallel port.    Has anyone linked successfully an old HP parallel port printer to a Windows 7 computer.  If so, what cable did you use and what have you got to do to make this work?  The others don't seem to be for Windows 7 and also seem to indicate problems in general.  Apparently, it is not as simple as a connecting cable.

There are two possible problems here.  First of all, if you are using the 64 bit version of Windows 7, you need to apply the patch here.  There is a bug in the supplied driver that causes the spooler crash in x 64 versions of Vista or Windows 7, the patch corrects this problem.

Second, as mentioned above the USB-parallel cables, converters can be problematic.  Make sure that the model you have is supported in Windows 7.  The links here have jobs where people are models of converters used successfully with Windows 7.
