Another question is there another way to see if the disc is encrypted again?

    1. hard drive can be reused, (you may need to clear the entire hard drive before reuse) HP recovery discs are the best way to re - install Windows.

    2. one way is to remove the hard drive from the laptop and use an adapter of drive hard usb to connect to another PC, then see if you can browse the files on the hard drive.

I need my laptop to someone for a few days, so I need to make sure that my data is definitely missing.

I can use the disk Sanitizer or present secure erase option in the BIOS. But I don't know how long it will take?

Can someone please tell me which disk-disinfectant time and secure erase option will take to a passage?

    Hi all

I just went ahead and did it. So for other people like me looking for the answer to this question, I will share my experience.

When I clicked on the option of disk Sanitizer, he gave me several choices like, 1 pass, optimum, gutmen and custom. I chose optimum, it is has had warned only that data will be permanently erased, there was no estimate of the time, I had to do, I did. After 22-23 hours of waiting, he did. And the optimum had 6 cycles of option. He showed the result below.

  • HP Probook 4530 s: Error Message 'wireless module not supported 702.

I have a HP Probook 4530 s standard stock I had since then and all of a sudden in the last month it comes up with this error at startup "this wireless module is not supported then was disabled 702. I have not changed a thing since I've owned this laptop so I use the card wireless that put HP. I can occcasionally work around (reboot several times) but it is very frustrating, especially when I want to get something done quickly and I have to plan restarting, disconnect the battery etc. game. Is there a solution? I was looking for a solution. As I understand it there is an error with the BIOS and the wireless card is not on the whitelist. Which is ridiculous because it is what came with the laptop!

    Any ideas or suggestions?

There is a update the BIOS of your system as dated March 2015 [F.60 Rev.A]

Although it does not specifically address your problem, it may be useful and HP 'recommend' the update.

  • ProBook 4530 s LW800ES: no driver works for me.

    Hello

    I have notebook probook 4530 s LW800ES of the year 2011.

I have intel pentium B940 bicoeur amd and graphics processor.

Not sure what GPU because it shows me 7470, sometimes 7600 and so on.

I could not find working drivers for my laptop. I already tried autodetection showing my product number and drivers. I also looked under battery who confirmed the product number and serial number.

I downloaded all the drivers for windows 7 64 bit.

    Install any drivers.

The amd driver that I found under windows 8.1 drivers. Can I know why is under 8.1 driver and not under windows 7? in any case, it doesn't work, it shows the yellow mark under amd 7470. Error 43 and other.

If you please show me drivers for the drivers of my Exact LW800ES including my (b940) CPU and GPU model (amd 6490 or 7470) please. Thank you very much.

    You are the very welcome.

Yes, I guess that's what you have to do.

I encountered the same problem with trying to find a graphic driver for my notebook 6910p.

Fortunately, I was able to use the W7 of Intel driver.

But because your laptop is the switchable graphics, you have to use the driver of graphics customized on the support page.

I have no idea what's going on with the support pages, but they have had problems for the last 2 years in one way or another.

I learned that HP pretty much closed its doors for 2 weeks during the holidays of Christmas and new year, so it could be a while for them to get this issue resolved with only a skeleton crew.

You can try this graphics driver of HP consumer class specifications which has the same configuration of Intel/AMD switchable graphics adapter as your model.  Maybe it will work.

This package provides the AMD graphics driver high definition (HD) and Catalyst Control Center for models of laptop computers that are running an operating system supported. For laptops equipped with switchable graphics modes, this package contains the drivers for the two graphics (GPU). Switchable graphics allow users to switch between a graphical power mode (normally used under the power of the battery) and a mode of graphics performance. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    Hey!

I have similar problem as this guy

    It's a HP Probook s 4530 with processor intel i5 2450 M, 4 + 2 GB of RAM and switchable graphics (intel HD and Radeon 7470 M).

My graphic card driver guard crashing when I try to play a game (summer do BSOD with THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER and WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR). Resources and performance monitor gives me 2 errors on drivers is not installed:

The Device Manager shows my basic system devices do not installed the drivers. One is "PCI Slot 2 (36 PCI bus, device 0, function 3)" and other "PCI Slot 2 (bus PCI 36, device 0, function 0).

P.S. I can't find my phone on your Web page so I'm not really sure of what to do about these drivers. If I search for Probook 4530 s I get 3 different results and I don't know which one is right, and if I search by product number I get some computers laptops Pavilion as a result.

  • Need a dual band card WiFi AC for Probook 4530 s

We have several laptops ProBook 4530 s (less then 2 years) in our society (product # A7K05UT #ABA) provided with stock simple strip cards and will not recognize the 5 ghz band.  I have a 5 yr old DV5 which has an Atheros card that recognizes them both and a DV7 new desire that I just put an Intel card in which works perfectly.

When we put the Intel card in the Probooks - at startup, BIOS flashes instantly that it will not recognize the card with a 702 error.

I can't believe that HP would be intentionally block the ability to update their products.  The ProBooks run the latest BIOS Upgrade and have no driver card dual band listed.

Does anyone know a double card strip 2 x 2 with BlueTooth that works?  Or y at - it an easy way to unlock this paralyzed from the BIOS?

If this upgrade problem cannot be resolved - looks like we get a different provider of portable computers.

All THE news will be welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

Yes, unfortunately, there is a BIOS "whitelist" on this model that locks the unsupported cards.

HP seems to have put an end to this practice recently (maybe in the last year or so), as consumers have indicated being able to install any model wireless card they please.

This helps any questions with the 4530 s.

According to the maintenance manual, Chapter 3, the card only dual band with BT that works is the Intel Centrino® Advanced-N 6230 - HP 636672-001 part number.  This isn't an AC card.

Due to the restrictive nature of the BIOS, you should also get this card with HP number thereon, or it won't work.

I checked the HP part store for availability, and HP has more article for sale, so my recommendation would be to look on sites like eBay and query by part number and buy a card used, but tested and functional.

    Specifications on the Intel 6230...

  • ProBook 4530 s: Windows will not start with bad secondary hdd

    HP Probook 4530 s

    Windows 10 64 - bit

    Hi all

I have my windows installed on a Samsung 840 Series SSD 120 GB and a WD 320 HDD as secondary drive in a basket in the dvd disc space. The two worked very well.

I got 301 MB of unallocated HARD disk space and the rest as a partition.  I used MiniTool Partition Wizard 9 wish that one partition with all the space unallocated. After the changes have taken effect, it showed the hard drive as a 'bad disk '. I thought that I should restart windows to solve this problem. After that restart the laptop is stuck on the start screen that you can access the BIOS, the caps lock light flashes 5 times several times and then stops. The hard drive seems to be on and I can't access BIOS.

When I remove the disk hard windows starts very well.

    I solved it myself.

    Set quick start.

then the drive gives a letter.

  • HP ProBook 4530 s - fresh out of the box installation SSD

    HI -.

I think to buy a HP ProBook 4530 s for Christmas and had the intentention of installing a 120 GB SSD.  I have installed SSD before office towers, but never in a laptop and that's why I wonder if I need mounting kits or brackets in order to do it properly?  Also, the HP ProBook s 4530, there in an area of the Bay of extra hard drive that I could place the SSD to use as a boot/OS drive or I better just to replace the HARD disk provided with the laptop?

I try to buy / change the laptop the fastest possible for general use / web browsing for parents for Christmas.  I'm open to other reccomendations but this latop resembled a great value / performance

Edit: Finally, this laptop / particular processor does support 64-bit Windows?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello:

The attached link for the quickspecs 4530 s should answer most of your questions.

    http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/13948_ca/13948_ca.PDF

There is that a single HARD drive Bay and all you need to do is remove the caddy and put it on the SSD.

It supports 64-bit and you should be able to buy a model with a 64 bit OS preinstalled.

Here is the link to the service manual if you want to read before on how to remove and replace the HARD drive. Chapter 4.

  • How can I get my Hp probook 4530 s

I have hp probook 4530 s and I want it back to the original factory setting, I've already converted my dynamic disk at the base form, but its still does not

This can runif you still have the recovery hard disk partition. I suggest that you try this first.

Source for Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 ISO images with links to required software and tutorials also generously provided by the Member of the forum AXSHUN JAXSUN

You can download the ISO image of legal Windows 7 64-bit file and then create an installation DVD.  You can use the Microsoft DVD\USB download tool to create a usb installation media. You will need a 4 or 8 GB USB flash drive to create the installer. I find the download of Microsoft DVD\USB tool to be the most effective solution because a USB installation is so much faster. You can have the installation done in thirty minutes.

Use the license activation key located on the COA of Microsoft Windows to activate the installation.

You can download all the drivers from the web support for your mobile portal and install them.  Install the driver first and then audio chipset and card reader drivers.

You said that you have installed Windows 7 in the C: partition

Was that a factory image install via the Recovery Manager, or was it a facility own fom a Microsoft dvd installation?

The error you are getting means that the UEFI system partition problems. Can still call you the Diagnostic tools to the power upward with the F2 key? If this isn't the case, you must reinstall UEFI. Follow the installation instructions.
