  Have you tried to download the drivers for Vista ? Or maybe try this basic driver you mentioned previously. Additional drivers are no problem to the system, so just try it.

• Conflict of scanner HP software

  Firstly my stats. I use an iMac 2.8 GHz and running OSX 10.5.8. A lot of memory.

  I have been using a scanner Scanjet 3800, used to use in Photoshop using the TWAIN plugin.

  Also have a wireless Photosmart c6380 all-in-One that I purchased and installed after the Scanjet.

  Initially, I had problems to get both to co-exist but resolved after googling a solution. Recently, I had a problem with my Mac and had to do a clean install. Now my problem is old back - the computer automatically opens the Photosmart software, he choose instead the Scanjet.

  Anyone know how I can get these two separate scanners live side-by-side without a fight like that? Should I uninstall/custom re - install, no one knows the best set-up to use?

  Always best to get the software more recent updates available for your device/OS on-site support.hp.com.  I would recommend you try the latest version of the software for both devices and see if that solves the problems of conflict.

  Before installing the new software, please open HP uninstaller program (part of your installed software) and delete everything.  This will ensure that you start from a clean slate.

• Can not find the power supply HP Scanjet 4850

  I found that it is virtually impossible to replace the power cord (AC adapter) for my Scanjet 4850.  Appeal of parts of HP (800-227-8164) led to the order and payment ($22) for a single power cord that fits nowhere on the 4850.  It's the wrong cord.  My daughter is having a similar problem, try to replace the power cord for his range of HP printers.  What I'm missing here?  (I mean other than the power cord).

• HP Scanjet N8420 - paper feed stopped working

  Just out of the blue one day, that my HP Scanjet N8420 has ceased to recognize the document feeder.  I put documents to be analyzed and it is as if she does not yet recognize in there, there is paper.  I push the right buttons to the tray extra paper.  It's just the noise as it does when you use the flat bed scanner and then does nothing.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, and that did nothing.  My one year warranty is in place and the online HP chat people do help me no more.  Can you help me?

  Here is some information on the manual which can be useful.

  The ADF cover cannot be locked. Open the ADF cover and then close it by pressing firmly.
  
  A problem with the hardware ADF may exist. Use the following procedures to test the ADF:

  • Unplug the USB cable and the power cable from the scanner. Check that the power cable is still connected to the power source.
  • Make sure that the cable is connected to the accessory port scan and that the ADF has at least two pieces of paper in the input tray.
  • Reconnect the power cable to the scanner and then turn on the scanner.
  • Try to scan another page through the ADF.
  • If the ADF doesn't feed paper, contact HP customer care.

  IM interested to buy the HP scanjet 1000 for helping me go paperless what im wanting to know is the software included in this "Naunce Paperport" which version it is and it is a trial version or full?

  Just an update... I bought the scanner hp1000... He was supplied with paper port 11 and 17 omni and a biz card application. I am very satisfied with this scanner. Even if it's a simple scanner power supply you can feed multiple sheets in a row. Even by hand its waaaay faster than my hp7500a not so all-in-one.
  Overall, I'm super happy with the hp1000 scanner and software, but not happy that I had to buy another scanner. To solve the end. Now, I'm on my way to go paperless in a fast and effective way.

  I just had a scanner HP ScanJet 4850 to a friend.  The scanner doesn't have a power cord or the software.  I can't wait to buy a power supply module or software when I don't even know if it works or is it are abilities.  Any ideas on how I can feed this square to see if it even works?

  Sorry that you are having a problem with your scanner and don't know if it works or not.

  There is not a way to know if the scanner is working or not, unless you have the power plug in it so he can put in operation.

  Yes it is possible, we coulb be also a matter of power, in order to check the power supply. If it is the lamp that the unit will have to be repacled.

• Missing optical drives after removal and reinstallation of the only power cables.

  I had a problem with my cd - rw (plextor px-5224ta) and dvd - rom not opening not readers.  I opened my case and only disconnected the power cables, leaving cables ribbons connected, so that I can drag players a bit and work with trays to correct.  Once this was accomplished, I reinstalled the screw on their trays and reconnected power cables.  I start and the discs are recognized only in the Setup, nothing in the Manager device or workstation tab 'manage '.  Once XP starts they disappear completely, no yellow exclamation point, no code error 39, etc just disappeared.  I searched through endless forums and this site and tried everything that has been mentioned previously (double check all physical connections, remove case filters in the registry, the thing FixIt from Microsoft).  When none of that worked, I figured that the discs themselves were dead, even if they would be open, close and turn.  I cannibalized another pc with a cd - rw to hitachi and who threw in there without change.  I booted from the cd - rw with no problems, but windows is not yet anything optical displays on my system.  The cd - rw and dvd - rom are configured as IDE primary master and slave, respectively, although I've tried in the secondary without success.  It seems to me that I have completely a software problem.  I think I'm pretty computer savvy but I am down to a reinstall of XP MCE and I wanted to check with the experts, if I had missed something before.  And if it doesn't I'll throw him off the roof :-)

  Thank you for your message.  Your troubleshooting steps are healthy, the only thing that I would recommend before you resort to the "roof" or "Reinstall" would update the firmware or drivers.  You should be able to find this on the part of the manufacturer of your computer or the website of the manufacturer of the CD - RW.  Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.

• where can I get accompanying scanjet G4050 photosmart software

  I bought my scanjet when I had XP to scan slides and it worked very well.

  Have not used in a few years. Now, I've upgraded to windows 7 (64) and I have several slides to be scanned.

  The scanner is not recognized by hp or scanvue (I used both a couple of years) even when I downloaded a new driver for windows 7.

  When I plug the scanner in, the computer says it recognizes, and windows is satisfied with the order, but not only!

  I tried to unplug power source disconnected and reconnected a half hour later. I tried all usb ports. I tried the scanvue software, but I guess that this machine is no longer compatible. I tried to restart the computer...

  I tried to uninstall and then install driver for this scanner for Windows 7 hp.  No recognition. No software.

  I can't find my original installation disk

  I can't find the photosmart software on my computer.

  Try to reinstall the full features software once again, but only after you have uninstalled the software/driver corrupt first and ScanVue.

  Install Revo Uninstaller (free version) and run the program in Advanced Mode to find any left over files in the registry.

  Clean all Revo concludes in the search.

  Manually search for folders/files rest for scanner HP in the AppData folder (in Windows Explorer, go to view options and check the box show hidden files to activate the folder AppData be seen).

  Go to the folder programs and find a HP folder to scan and delete

  For VueScan, also.

  Now redownload them and reinstall this software complete features again. Follow the prompts during the installation.

  Let me know how that turns out.

  The HP imaging device was not found. Try the following steps. After each step, try to scan the image.

  -Turn power off and then unplug the unit, wait 60 seconds and plug and switch on the device.

  S ' ensure that the power cord of the appliance and the cable are secured, plugged in, and turned on.

  -Restart the computer.

  -Uninstall and reinstall the device.

  -Reinstall the HP photosmart software provided with the unit.

  Disconnect the scanner, install the cd HP scanning software and follow the instructions.

  There is nothing in a win7 default installation that prevents the scanning software installed correctly, only other software/utilities third or a damaged win7 installation can cause such a problem

• ScanJet G3110: Scanjet G3110 turns is not on

  It was a gift.  I have not used.  It not turn on if the computer does not recognize it.  I plugged directly into a wall outlet, and it won't always turn.  I don't know if the power cord is the problem, if the power button is the problem.  All I know is that it doesn't seem to work.  I can't say diagrams online if the parser must be unlocked or how to do it.  The operating system is OSX 10.10.1.

  suddenly the scanjet adfc7670a stopped automatically feeding paper.

  It scans from the glass distillers. the OS is OSX 10.4.11.

  a console error message indicates an error with USB which led me to believe that he could be on low power USB.

  (why all of a sudden don/t know).

  to test I used a powered USB hub. No not the USB message in the console and the adf does not always work.

  I checked for paper jam. Although no paper jam, I went through the hatch opening procedure etc. still no go.

  There is a mention of the worn rollers. How will I know if the rollers are warn out before I go and buy a roller kit?

  the problem was that the ADF cable in the back (apparently) not completely took place.

  Is it possible this admission control would allow a machine virtual can be powered on when there is no available slots?  I don't speak HA initiate a failover, but manually power on a virtual machine of the vSphere client...

  My current settings of the laboratory are:

  -vCSA 5.5

  -5 x test VMs

  -3 guests x ESXi 5.5 with 2 processors and 4 GB of RAM each.

  -Admission control policy = host failures tolerates the cluster = 1

  -Fixed CPU slot size = 2000 MHZ (yes I know it is huge, but I am doing this to force a slot by ESX host since resources 'hidden' PR of each host ESXi brings only 3800 MHZ)

  -Then, the slot machines, 2 3 total used, 1 failover, with 2 under voltage VM.

  It is my understanding that once you run out of slots, admission control should leave you not MANUALLY power on the new virtual machines. I could do something wrong, but in my case, I am able to power on the other 2 VMS with 0 slots available. I enclose some screenshots for reference.

  Could I be missing?
