HP2015 define printer orientation and 'worthy of paper. "

I am trying to create a printer that does only 1 thing.  the printer landscape and adjustment of the text on page whatever happens.

I know this may seem impractical, but it will be used to print only 1 report which is slightly larger than a landscape page at the pt 8 fonts.  6 pt is too small.  I works wonderfully when I choose the printer go through the customization, even to save a quick set task named for the report.  When I print it, it looks good.

but, even after you have saved the settings, next time I print 'default' to the printer some my task quickset info is gone and it returns the default values for the hp2015.  I thought to delete all quick games except the one I made, but it wont let me delete the 'default' settings.

someone knows how can I do this?

Thank you.  Jim

Open your printers folder. Right-click on the printer icon and select Properties. Click on the tab advanced and clikc the button 'Default print' downstairs. Now, to make the necessary changes you here and see if she is recalled by the printer.

My HP 309 g perfectly print a picture on A4 paper without flaws. However, whenever it prints the exact image even on HP Premium Plus photo paper, the colors are weird - not black, but the yellow blues and roses. I removed the print head and carefully cleaned and aligned the printer nothing helps. Verification of diagnosis HP shows no failure at all. The obvious flaw must be with the photo paper, but I am not convinced that this is the real problem. Can someone help with this really weird problem please?

    Hi @Quackers,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I'm happy to help with your PS C309g

I would normally be with you that photo paper would be at fault, but as HP paper, it should be good. I realize, this may be irrelevant, but make sure that you load the face of photo paper (print side) down so that it prints on the right side of the paper.

If you load it properly however, which I am sure you are, I suggest that you try the steps in this document to solve the problems of quality Print to the HP Photosmart Premium all-in-One Printer Series (C309) .

  • stop printing and releases then paper

I have a HP Officejet 4500 - 510 a. fact not matter if I try to print the PDF or a Word document, the printer will start printing, and then freezes.  Sometimes it will display a little more and then stop again and after a long time, it will reject the paper.

Then, it will start to try to print again and does the same thing.  I have to manually cancel all documents to get it to quit smoking. In addition, once it starts to try to print the led starts to Flash. I ran doctor Scan and completely uninstalled and reinstalled - twice and still get the same problem.  This time it's worse now.  I even ran into Command Prompt: sfc/scannow and it doesn't show anything wrong as doctor Scan shows nothing wrong.  What else can I do to fix this problem?

I tried all your suggestions and always had problems.  But I left just as you suggest and uninstalled Forxit Reader (a replacement for Adobe) and tried to print 7 copies from a PDF file.  They are all printed.  Assumed it was my problem all along. I will keep you informed how be it changes.

Thank you very much for your help!

  • Difficulty for eFax print on Photo paper and not ordinary paper

If you have recently faced the issue where when you receive an eFax, it is print on photo paper and not ordinary paper, it is because your account is configured to receive jobs as a .tiff instead of .pdf files files. If you wish to have this resolved, send me a Message private with the following information:

  • Illustrator by changing the orientation and size of prints.

I recently got a new computer for work and install a new copy of Windows 7 64 bit with a newly improved Illustrator CS6. I am now unable to print correctly. I have a Xerox Phaser 8860 printer which is used on the network. What happens when I print is in print preview, all is consistent with the way in which he expected to be. However printed once, the file gets shot and it seems to only print on one half of the page. I copied the same exact settings as were on my computer before moving on to CS6 with no luck.

    I also tried the following:

    Re-install CS 6

    Re-installation of printer drivers

    Reseting printer spool

Remove the printer from the registry

Try all possible corrections in the printer drivers and printer in Illustrator dialog box

I also noticed that it prints the same way in Adobe Acrobat X as well. It was thus printing in Photoshop as well, but who herself seems to have corrected through all the other troubleshooting I did.

I have no orphaned path outside of the artboard. It also prints the same way on all files. However, I can save the file as an image and print it very well, it prints websites very well, everything works normally outside Illustrator.

I was not able to meet all the patches, CIHI or elsewhere, or any other person having a similar problem. Ideas, any help would be appreciated.

    Update:

    Problem solved!

I deleted the printer again, uninstalled all drivers, stopped my printer spooler, remove all printers from the registry under:

    Printing services HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Print/providers/LanMan /.

    as well as

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Print/printers.

Then used Global Print Driver for Xerox to re-download and install the drivers.

I think what happened was I installed Illustrator before installing the printer drivers on this new computer, and maybe, somewhere, somewhere, this has involved. Who knows, it's the computers... Haha so, fortunately, that everything is resolved. And if someone else has this problem, I hope they find this thread

  • Pdf creation from Word 2007 with the layout, the 'Landscape' Orientation and document Pages, 'two pages per sheet.

I am trying to create a PDF from a Word 2007 document with the layout, the 'Landscape' Orientation and Pages, 'two pages per sheet.  The document was created in Word 2003.  The entire document is four "pages" long, but each of these "pages" is half of an 8 1/2 x 11.  So it's really a pages document two and prints on only two sheets of letter size paper.

Acrobat does not seem to 'see' this document is set up to have two pages per sheet, is it really just a two-page document.  He created a four-page pdf file.

It arrived not with Word 2003.  The pdf file created from this version is an exact copy of the document word - two pages.

    Any ideas?

  • PCL5 printing codes to turn off paper tray switching when the tray is in the paper

We have a HP P4015n with 3 trays, tray we letterhead, tray 2 has plain paper, tray 3 preprinted forms (all dimensions 8.5 "x 11" paper ").  This is related to a Linux system with printing from a legacy software - they are mainly text documents that have integrated the PCL control codes.

The problem, when a drawer is empty, print will continue to the next state bar, which can have a header of letter or preprinted form, etc.

Can I turn off automatic tray switching?  Either using a code printer PCL or via the printer control panel?

If I print on tray 3, this tray is empty, I want the printer to wait until the tray has paper once again and do not use a different tray.

I played a bit with the 'document type' (letterhead, pre-printed form, etc.) setting found on the built-in printer web page, but when I send a job there, the printer needs someone to hit the 'OK' on the printer. I guess that the printer is looking for the paper incorporated in the corresponding document type.  Is there a print PCL code for that?

I have done research on PCL5 printer control codes and can not find, or another command.

    Thanks for any help,

    This should help you:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&ObjectID=bpl05272&JumpID=reg_R1002_USEN

On the other hand moving up to the next plateau, depends on the printer.  Some let not work continue to the next bar if the paper type is defined differently, but it is more common that the printer will just continue.  The only solution I have found is when big jobs you know will exceed capacity of the tray should just make sure that the right paper is in all stores.  The other thing is too, to keep the full trays (just make sure to put the fresh paper under the paper that is in the status bar to reduce interference issues).

I am including the link to the history of PCL/PJL because inside under the additional Documentation, it links to PDFs of the technical manuals detailing everything that you could ever want to know about hand coding for printing using these languages:

  • Why print preview and print lose lines of text from the image to the screen in the browser

When I bring up (for example) a magazine article in my browser and you want to print it for future reference, print preview and printed image 'lost' lines of text between pages compared to the original image in the browser. For example: visit this link: http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Feature/408318, how-to-make-windows-admin-easy-with-powershell.aspx?eid=2 & edate = 20150828 & utm_source = 20150828 & utm_medium = newsletter & utm_campaign = weekly_newsletter & nl = weekly and select 'Print' from the menu. Print preview that appears - poster in portrait mode or landscape - loses one or two lines of text for the print version wraps useless. Where the missing text? pagination is not identical, and Firefox seems unable to handle it.

I use a HP desktop with Intel i7 CPU 8 GB of RAM and Win 7 Pro SP1. Firefox is V40.0.3

I do not see "imposed by the system of page breaks" encoded in this Web page. It would be difficult for an author of a Web page with an international audience.

You use A4 paper, but what about those of us using letter-size paper? Page breaks may screw up page print to LETTER, from a Web site to THE like this.
And what about the 'zoom' different levels? For printing which is called scale preview of Firefox and Page Setup print.
I put systematically "modest" when printing to save paper, to keep the last page to only a few lines, or when the font size in print preview is too great (IMO) for printing on paper. And the size of police appeared to have worsened as monitor resolutions have gotten larger over the years.

The only time wherever I lost lines of text between printed pages was when I was "pushing the limits" with the paper up and down / page margins. IOW, too small header / footer trying to get on each page as possible. By default, Firefox a. 5 "margins (left and right) with. 5 "header / footer (top and bottom margins) = letter-size paper. With 'A' type of paper using metric would be tantamount to the margins of 12.7 mm on all four sides. The /metric of inches "toggle" is with the size of the paper, the user has selected.

Check the Page > margins & header / footer to see if you have the parameters of ~ 12mm or it they are smaller.

  • Photosmart HP 6520: Printer work and print a blank page, on its own without input from any computer or device.

I use a configuration of Photosmart Printer series 6520 linked to a Comcast Cable modem router /wifi.  I use WPA2 security with a long password. (I also tried setting by using the system of the WPS - with changes in symptoms). With this router, the wifi connection I share with

    1. MacbookPro computer
    2. iPhone 6SPlus
    3. 12.9 inches iPad Pro

    The symptoms are:

At random times during the day or night, you can hear computer works as if someone sent a print job.

    1. You go to the printer, and the front panel display is on.
    2. There is an empty of leaves paper ejected from the printer.

In the night when in bed and all devices are disabled except router and of course the printer, I can hear the printer works and then I wake up the next morning and there is a blank sheet of paper in the output tray.  I'm off to put the paper in the paper tray.

I keep the printer on 24 hours a day, because as ink jet printer inks tend to dry out the exposed to natural air. And HP recommends keep printer to prevent dry ink clogging in the head. I understand everything power is suspended unless the circuit warming (and it appeared to work that way until quite recently).

Although it made no difference, I just update the HP Update version 5 driver sent from Apple.  It turns out that it is the wasted effort, and I lost my custom configurations because the driver for my printer has not been updated for at least two years. He always uses the version 4.2.5 of the driver. (El Capitan is X.11.6 with the latest security updates).

    Printer works fine otherwise.  Suggestions?

Yes, it made no difference. The façade has finally exploded but ocassion, it still ejects a sheet or two of paper.  Guess it's irreparable. I can live with. Works fine in the case.  Just close it as insoluble.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500: print heads and things

OK, maybe it's a bit confusing. I have three printers Officejet 8500. No. 1 went into a never-ending cycle of clean print heads (after more than 30,000 pages) and without me being in the room the right side of the printer depot of ink on the table. Tried the reset but not good. Bought a second hand and after a few weeks, it came in paper jam mode. Could not resolve so finally bought number three. Works a treat and has no problem. Numbers one and two are for recycling. Print heads removed and stored in an airtight box with damp cloth. What is staging. Now after spending all that money, the last thing I want, it's having problems with number three. However, I have three cartridge sets new and unopened from PC World (their own brand) which cost £39. They came with the number two of the machine. They are not dated and has no way to know at what age they are. They are not oem, I can't any advice on their likely performance, but what worries me, is can the ink begins to solidify and block print heads as they age? Like I said they are still sealed. If I change the cartridge and use a spare set of the print heads to check the print output and that something is wrong if I can swap cartridges and print heads back without the printer enter the cycle of constant head cleaning. I know there have been issues with these printers but mine is on 27 000 pages and all tests are reports back in good health. I have also several chips of HP cartridges genuine that I can use.  Sorry as that a little long-winded.

    Hello @notahappybunny,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you have some questions and concerns about your ink cartridges non OEM 8500 and some.

    I would like to help.

The following document explains on the expiry of the ink.

Consumable inkjet HP - ink Expiration

From what I've read, it's I think I understand that the ink may change over time.

Because ink is sealed I don't think they're going to solidify, but the pigment used in the ink may eventually separate from water. This will certainly cause print quality problems.

In addition, your first 8500 printhead might not be good.

A bad print head may cause the impression of entering the cycle without end cleaning.

I hope that I have answered your question.
