  Does anyone know if it is possible to hide a folder in Explore view workspace? For example, we have a bunch of reports Associates-content which we do not want users to access directly. I would like to put these in a folder hidden somewhere tried to do this by modifying the permissions on the folder (but not those of the underlying report), but it threw an error message.

  Hello

  For this you can GB workspace, select the folder, right click on folder and go to properties of the folder-> tab advanced-> hidden point.

  This allows to hide the folder from users.

  Add an entry ACL for Apache (read, user www) and developers (reading / writing, whatever name short (s) use the developer (s), or use the name of the user group that contains the developers if they have been isolated in one that is not shared with other users).

• Can't choose Bridge CS6 hides folder on another drive/partition

  I just installed Photoshop CS6 and noticed a no criticism, but nevertheless annoying problem in Bridge (platform: Win7 x 64):

  When I try to move the folder cache (Menu: editing-> Preferences-> Cache-> location, and then pressing the 'Choose' button), the selection of the path that opens is actually incomplete dialog.

  In other words, it shows all my records. In fact, it shows no partitions. It just default to the user usual directory (on partition C :), but not will not appear (and therefore: won't let me choose) any other partition.) To be more precise: the folder root tree shown is the 'Office' folder in my home directory of the user - and that's all there is.

  Since there is no field were I could enter (type) the path directly, I'm basically stuck now having my cache on C:. That is not where I want to. (I don't have enough space here)

  For comparison:

  In Bridge CS5, the same dialog box works as expected: that is, when I scroll down, I can also see the other partitions and choose a path somewhere, say, drive F:

  BTW: I also noticed this behavior even with the beta version of CS6, but was not concerned then because, well... it was just a beta, and I thought this somehting is also obvious that this would be fixed at the time the final version comes out... :-/

  Is there another way to define the path to the cache?

  Should I file a bug report?

  Until someone asks: Yes, I uninstalled the beta version before you install the final PS CS6, and Yes, everything seems to work as it should.

  UPDATE: I just solved my problem - in a way that seems strange, but here...:

  1. It dawned on me ' if I can't choose anything outside my home directory of the user, perhaps I wrong Bridge by using another drive by putting a (aka shortcut) link it on my Windows desktop.
  2. I clicked on my desktop, created a new shortcut and chose the directory that I wanted to actually for the bridge cache (in my case: F:\caches\bridge_cs6)
  3. In the Bridge preferences, under Cache-> location dialog box, I hit the 'Choose' button again and chose the shortcut created earlier.
  4. And there, the path statement indeed seemed to search for the location on my F:\... by car.
  5. Now for the really strange part: after you closed and reopened Bridge (to see if it actually work and always be in the folder I want), I found that the opening of the path selector (i.e. the 'Choose' button) once again, it shows NOW EACH folder on EACH drive - just like he suddenly has (and always wants in CS5)

  Conclusion:

  My little hack 'shortened' seemed to have somehow "fixed" Bridge CS6 inability to go beyond the C: drive (and my home folder) to the file cache.

  Strange... but I won't complain.

  Forgive me if this is what you've already tried, but I want to just make sure that all these measures have been taken:

  1.	Click Start and then click my computer .
  2.	On the Tools menu, click Folder Options .
  3.	On the view tab, find Advanced settings , and then follow these steps: one. Click Show hidden folders and files . b. Clear the Hide protected operating system files check box. c. Clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box.
  4.	Click OK , and then close the window. If the method above doesn't work for you, you can run your virus scan. Finally, some people have found a solution in this article: Show hidden files and folders not working not Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. • BlackBerry Smartphones display text messages in the message box

  I just got my Blackberry Curve yesterday and I'm stuck. I figured out how to separate my emails to my text messages in the 'Messages' box, but it is always default to my email messages when I opened the box "Messages". How can I make the text message folder? (There is no "hide folder" option I can find it, and when I separated from email and texts no new record did come on my homescreen).

  If you have changed "SMS and Email" to separate boxes? On my machine, I had to look in my Applications folder to find the icon 'SMS and MMS '. After that I found it, I was able to move on the home screen.

  Cannot start the program. decided to make a great red wine.

  This morning adobe has been updated with patches.

  Always the same situation but the program works now.

  I went in option files and merge conflicts unchecked hide folder and all the files appeared.

  Don't know why it should influence the demand but hey ho sound now work

  I imported my bookmarks from Chrome folder, but it contains far too many bookmarks to sort/tidy, them (it contains other unorganized folders too) so I was wondering if there is a way to 'hide' or 'lock' the folder so it's always there in the bookmarks menu/unsorted bookmarks / whatever, but any of the bookmarks show when I search something in the address bar.

  I know that you can disable suggestions for bookmarks, but I still want to use this feature.

  The point is not to mark these bookmarks in bookmarks (library) Manager, but store them in a HTML file that you open in a Firefox tab, or possibly in the sidebar using a bookmark to open this file and have this option checked.

  For this example, create a folder on your C drive named HideTest.

  Right-click on the newly created shortcut, and click Properties.

  Change the race: from the normal window to reduced.

  Click on apply, and then click Ok.

  Restart your computer.

  Note: In the line above Choice.Exe c:YN t:Y, 30 are looking for files to hide, 30 is the number of seconds it will wait before checking the new files. This can be from 1 to 99.

  Seems if you rename a folder or a file with a name that begins with a period, you can hide it.
