imaging devices removed

I don't know if it's in the jury of the right, but anyway, there are a few moments, I got tired of my brother using my laptop for his dirty skyping, so I disable my imaging devices, well I thought I did. Turns out I may be deleted it altogther, which really sucks because I need to use my portable device for a project I'm doing. Any ideas on how to repair or reinstall?

I have a Pavilion laptop dv6 with HP TrueVision HD camera and it has Windows 7 top.

Help, please! PROJECT MUST BE DONE TONIGHT!

Hi dAnna3323,

I have a couple more things to try. Go back to your device manager go Action and then search for the hardware changes see if he find the webcam.

If this does not work then I would recommend making a full System Recovery that will bring you to the factory settings. I would recommend that backup you all your data on an external hard drive or USB key.

  • HP imaging device was not found.

For some reason, I now find that I can not scan from my HP Office J6410.  When I start my PC, I get the message "the HP imaging device is not found." with 5 options to try.  Extended error information are presented as "8 [(1, 0,-2147221496)]", which I guess means something to someone.

I tried each of the five data options, but I still get the error.  I ran the Diagnostic Utility Scan, to see that the process fails when checking "Windows (WIA) Scan.  The text of error I get is:

"HP scan Diagnostic Utility cannot scan using the service Windows Imaging. Save your work and close all applications. Turn the product off, turn it on again, and then click on restart the computer. If the problem persists, you will not be able to scan using the applications that use this service, such as Microsoft Paint. HP scanning software applications can still function. If you want to scan with WIA, remove the driver by clicking on the software uninstallation. Reinstall the software with the product CD or by downloading the most recent full features software on the HP Web site (recommended)".

I tried all that, but still, I get the original message.  I've never had this before, but it appeared only recently.  Anyone know what is the problem and how to fix it?

    TIA

That's what I ended up doing. Connection of the USB cable to get the installation program, then leave for a week or two. I then tried setting up in the wireless and removed the USB cable. Everything worked well. Thus, it seems that you need the connected USB so that you can fully set up the printer. Happy that you guessed it work. Duncs

The device icon and text missing in the imaging devices Manager

    I'm running MS Vista Ultimate.

The imaging device icon and the wording are missing in Device Manager are missing. A device is listed in the box as installed missing icon.

The other devices in Device Manager normally appear and I can compare what is supposed to be there for another computer running the same version of windows.

However, the device will not work and will not reinstall.

When you try to reinstall the device an error indicates that Setup does not work and to contact the manufacturer of the device.

Yet once, however, this happens when I try to install any imaging device.

I'm unable to locate information about the imaging devices in the registry.

I think that some registry entries are missing.

It is not the missing peripheral individual. This is the section in Device Manager.

    The image error is logged:

    Hi henrymullersr

What imaging device do you use?

We can try a few steps and check if it helps you.

Try to run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Hardware-and-Devices-troubleshooter

If the result of the Troubleshoot utility is negative, then reinstall the device. And also be sure to uninstall the previous contents of the device driver by running utility windows install cleanup:

    http://download.Microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

    Now follow the following steps:

    1. Save the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package on your computer

    2. right click on the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and run as administrator

    3. follow you prompt in the installation wizard. Once completed the installation, click on the Start button

    4. click on all programs. Click on Windows Install CleanUp Utility.

    5. click on the device driver (if on list) in the list of programs.

    6. click on Remove. Click OK

    7. click exit

Restart the computer for the changes to take effect

Then try to install the device driver and check the result: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Install-a-USB-device

After back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem.

  • After you disable the built-in webcam, imaging devices disappeared from the Device Manager. How can I make it reappear if I can activate my webcam?

    Hello

After you disable the webcam integrated my laptop ASUS N80V, imaging devices disappeared from the Device Manager.  I use Windows Vista x 64.  How can I make it reappear if I can activate my webcam?
    Thank you
    Chris

First try a system restore to a date that precedes you disabled the camera, it could allow the camera back.

    What is system restore?

Try reinstalling the camera driver. On my previous Asus link there is a click to download on that link. You must communicate your model number or click on 'Auto-Detection model '.

There is also a forum on the Asus Support link, you can try to ask your questions here.

You can also try the update of the BIOS available on the download link and then check if the unit is on.

  • The HP imaging device not found... Error 8 [(1, 0,-2147024770)]

-New installation of Windows 7 64 bit with all the updates of Windows installed.

-HP OfficeJet Pro L7500 connected via ethernet / DHCP.

-I get the following error message after you install the full version of the software:

The HP imaging device not found...  Error 8 [(1, 0,-2147024770)]

-Two other computers on the network, they get the error and can scan

    Troubleshooting steps already taken:

    1. uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version full

2 carried out allong uninstall_L3 and uninstall_L4 with a reboot and reinstall about 4 times.

3 sanning via 'Paint' works very well.

    4. the 'Windows Image Acquisition' service is started.

5 Windows firewall is turned off.

    6. print jobs.

7 watch Jet Pro L7500 Office properly in the device under "Imaging devices" Manager

Nice try, but this isn't an answer very nonsense similar to most of the HP answers I've seen on the forums.

-J' already have the l3 uninstall and reboot, as already indicated in my original post.

-L' computer already has the latest version of Flash - over this software has nothing to do with communicating with the scanner.

-The software is already downloaded from HP.

However, I have repaired and it is perhaps what made him.  I'm not positive:

-J' ran 'bpd_scan_Carrier.msi' which is in the folder "setup\bpd_scan" by right-clicking and choosing "update".

-J' also ran "BPDSoftware.msi" which is in the folder "setup\bpdsoftware" by right-clicking and choosing "update", but I don't think that it did.

-J' have also installed the Photosmart program but I don't think that that had nothing do with it.  When you run HP diagnostics program, it is said that what needs to be installed for scannig work.

Thanks HP for all the major recommendations, I read in aid groups...    It is sarcasim in case your wondering you.

    Hi Amit,

Please answer the following questions so we can help you
    best:
    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    2. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check the issue. Proceed to the following method if only the problem persists after completing each.

    Method 1
Run the fixit from the link below and the question.
Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

    Method 2
Run Windows update and install if you can find the updates for the Webcam. You can check out the link below to do so.
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Update-driver-hardware-ISN

    Method 3

Install the latest drivers for the Webcam from the manufacturer's Web site and check the issue. If the problem still persists, you can install the latest version of BIOS and drivers from the chipset manufacturer's Web site to solve the problem.

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
