impact of connectivity of disabling DCB on N4064f

Hello. We use N4064f as ToR switches. We have connected additional without EQL to the network and the new EQLs are complaining of DCB misconfiguration on the switches. We don't use of DCB, as well as literature, I read, you must disable DCB on switches.

I found the commands to do this in the configuration of switch guide (why can't do you it from the GUI?), my question is if this will have an impact on connectivity.

Both N4064f switches are not stacked, but connected using the QSFP ports ISL (static gal). RSTP is also configured.

Our network guys said there could be up to 2 minute break, which is not true, I hope.

Someone who can confirm?

If we do not disable DCB on switches, there should be no effect on the functionality of EQLs, right? (with the exception of the warning in the Group Manager)

We did a quick laboratory test and doesn't see any loss of network DCB to disable. If you do not see it yet, this is a good document.

  • A Wi - Fi (Wireless LAN) connection is disabled in Device Manager

The laptop is HP Pavilion G4 running Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit).

I just re - install my laptop Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) for Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit).

But I just realized that there is no "HP Connection Manager", so I downloaded it from the internet.

When I turned on the wifi of "HP Connection Manager", he says "Wi - Fi (Wireless LAN) is disabled by the Device Manager".

    What should I do next?

    Thank you!

    Hello:

You will probably need to install the driver for the wireless card there.

If you see a device network controller listed in the Manager of devices, then you certainly need to install the driver for the wireless card model that your laptop uses wireless.

  • HP 2710p - stop connection to disable wifi wired

I have 2 different laptops that I use for work. Both need to connect to our company via WiFi network but I need - also - to connect to a private network back via ethernet (for management remotely via RDP). Both use Windows 7 Ultimate (the Lenovo is 64-bit, the HP 32-bit). It works on a single machine (Lenovo Thinkpad T61p) and not the other (HP 2710p).

On the Thinkpad, it works. I assigned the wired connection (become) an IP address static with no gateway and then connected to the wifi as usual. Perfect. I have a Gigabit ethernet connection to RDP with this machine.

On the HP 2710p, whenever the ethernet is plugged it disconnects from the wifi until the ethernet is unplugged. He also did this on the 2710p when I had Windows XP on it before.

I guess it's because of something with the driver on the HP trying to be "smart" about how it happens. Anyone know where the parameter can be disabling this feature?

PS. 2710p wifi is the Intel 4965AG and ethernet Intel 82566 MM.

    Hello:

Refer to the system (BIOS) configuration guide in your service manual to change the setting, so it will not disable the wireless, an ethernet cable is plugged. You must disable the LAN/WLAN change. See Chapter 5, page 78 for where this setting can be found in the menu setup.

Hello testrat.  I understand that a problem the reactivation of your wireless card.  Is this correct?

The error message that you received on another utility used to configure the device is probably the cause of your problem.  This looks like a software application to manage wireless connections is your wireless card hostage.  You will see to set Windows to control the connection.  You will need to determine what program is currently set to manage the wireless.

I'll need to go to the Add/Remove programs in your control panel section.  Sort the list by name and look for anything with the name of 'Intel' or "Broadcom."  What do you see that these two brands are concerned?

    I'm waiting for your answer.

  • last version of Firefox can not ensure a secure connection without disabling the firewall, why?

I've upgraded to the latest version of Firefox and now whenever he goes to a secure connection, it debits far and doesn't connect or said that the connection was refused. I'm under Firewall PC Tools and strangely when I turn off the firewall, it connects. I don't really like it. I tried to remove Firefox to the list of applications and add new, but it did not help.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

No, DCB is never required for any version of firmware EQL.   DCB is always optional.   If you run ESXi, then please make sure 6.0.6 members is upgraded to at least 6.0.7 as soon as POSSIBLE.  VMFS datastore corruption risk is possible with any version lower than 6.0.6-H2. FW

It turns out be lack of Fast Access. I had turned off its feature "Internet connection" in the quick access application, but this is a not disable its complement in Firefox. I manually disabled the add-in and that seems to have solved the problem. I'll inform the fast access of the problem.

  • Problem connecting Wi - Fi on Windows 8.1 - Satellite C70D-A-11F

    Hello.
I just bought a Toshiba Satellite C70D-A-11F (PSCENE).
The integrated Wi - Fi adapter is a "Qualcomm Atheros AR956x Wireless Network Adapter", but I can't connect to my private even when WiFi (WPA2-PSK-AES key).

Color of the Wi - Fi indicator light is orange in front of the computer.

When I try to connect, its status will change to 'Not connected' to 'Disabled', then back to "not connected".

I can't understand the origin of the problem, or what to do, besides this Toshiba product is not listed in the list of elements supported...

    Any idea guys?

    Thank you.
    Damien Paris, France

The amber light indicates that the network WiFi or Bluetooth is enabled.
This means that even if the light is orange, the WiFi could be OFF and BT can only be activated.

You should check if the WiFi is enabled. You can do this by going to settings PC (Win button + C, and then click Change PC settings)-> network-> WLan slider On / OFF

The WiFi network can be configured too using the old method you know Win 7
Go to control panel-> network & sharing Center control-> on the left click eat Wireless Networks
Here you can add the network news and can start the configuration.
