'+' in the url

Hi, I connect using http.

My url has '+', it looks more or less like this:

http://mydomain.com/AJAX.php?req=MDM/something.php¶m1=¶m2=name+name2

and I get an error "java.land.IllegalArgumentException."

where url is without "+" it works...

My question is-i can't use '+' in the url for the http connection? the strangest thing is that I wrote this url in the browser of my camera and it works...

You may know what is the problem with that?

concerning

You must encode them the + is a special character

Also: Historically the '+' was handles as spaces escaped prior to % 20.

Try to replace + % 2B

The browser does the coding itself

Summary: Ability to copy the url from an email in Apple Mail lost since the upgrade?

    Hello

Sometimes I copy the url from an email in Apple Mail in an event in the calendar to find emails that I need quickly at a meeting. I then simply click on the link in my calendar of events a be returned directly to the email in Apple Mail.

However, the ability to copy the url from an email in Apple Mail seems to be lost since the upgrade. Anyone with the same problem or solution?

    Best regards

I can provide a workaround solution. Use Wunderlist. It's free. Once you have validated your email, you can forward the email to me@wunderlist and a new task will be added with the attached email.

Select this option to add items Wunderlist calendar Wunderlist Preferences > accounts.

I even tried dragging an email on the desktop and choose to share. Calendar was not an option.

  • AppleScript to create the thumbnail of the file selected with hyperlink to the URL of the file

    Hello

I need an AppleScript script to copy to the Clipboard a thumbnail of a selected file (s. picture 1 below) with a hyperlink to the URL of the selected file.

I have a script that allows me to get the URL of the file and copy it to the Clipboard. But then I have to paste the URL into my Document, back to the finder, make a screenshot of the thumbnail of the file, paste this screenshot and enter the URL (manually copy) of the file (choose the context menu of the image) (s. image 2 below):

Is there a way to automate this?

I could do the screenshot manually, this is actually no problem, but then I would need to attribute this screenshot on a Clipboard 1, go back and get the URL of the file and attribute it to Clipboard 2 and then go to my document and paste Clipboard 1 first, chose the menu popup "hyperlink" and the Clipboard paste 2.

I would be grateful for the help!

(I am a high school language teacher, and it is a task repetitive Daylilies)

    Kind regards

    Kai - Uwe,

OpenOffice or LibreOffice aren't outwardly scriptable with AppleScript or Automator, as to exclude these two applications that support. They are inwardly Python scriptable via their respective SDK.

I became aware of a solution of AppleScript that invites for the input file, then uses a custom (port) application that uses QuickLook to generate an image thumbnail jpg to your specified output destination. I added a line of AppleScript that sends the URL of the file to the Clipboard.

After running the script, I can paste the URL of the document in LibreOffice and follow by drag and drop the jpg thumbnail afterwards.

Do you want me to post the directions for this solution. In its current form, it is not written for processing batch.

  • How can I change the new behavior of the location of the drop-down menu on the subject which the url comes first?

Since the upgrade to FF43, the address bar behaves differently. When I type a letter, URL that contains this letter. FF42 the first result would be any url, I visited the most, that contains this letter in its url. Now in FF43, it's always a url that starts with the letter I typed. Often, these are not the same. I now constantly, click on the wrong entry because I'm so used to everything fast click on the first person by habit.

If the url of a site starts with the letter I typed and is also the site that I visit most, it now serves as the results! For example, if I type the letter H, my first result is: 'visit hardocp.com', and directly below there is an entry: "www.hardocp.com. This result of 'Visit hardocp.com'everything is new behavior that I want to turn off.

Also, the deletion of an entry in the address bar does not seem to work (one that appears first, still and always starts with: 'Visit [url]'). I pointed out the entry and press DELETE on my keyboard and it disappears. I then my url most visited my first new result. But when I can cool off and come back on the address bar and type a letter, the entrance is back! It's infuriating.

How can I go about fixing this?

This is a new feature in Firefox 43. To turn it off to do this:

    1. Go about: config in Firefox
    2. Click on the I'll be careful button
    3. Locate the Boolean browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
    4. Change the false value

Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

  • How to: Disable the new 'Visit what you type' in the url drop-down list. FF 43

So with the update of FF 43 Mozilla is still destroying my workflow. While browsing I have I'll especially out of muscle memory. And the new updated through upward in the top position most of the url drop-down the search with the option. I disabled that within 5 minutes but now instead of it's me give "visit"url what ever I can partially be hit". I wish that this new item disabled and can't seem to find an option for her.

I never understood why the url bar allowed for searching the Web when there is already a dedicated search bar.

You can set this pref to false on the topic: config page.

    • Browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete = false

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

Location drop-down menu bar may show items from the history, as well as pages of a bookmark and sites currently open in tabs.
You can define what suggestions to show when you enter a URL in the address bar in "Options/Preferences > privacy".

    • Tools > Options > privacy > address bar: when you use the location bar, suggest:
      History
      Bookmarks
      Open tabs
    • choice of browser.urlbar.suggest.history.onlyTyped must be modified directly through the pref
    • choice of browser.urlbar.Suggest.Searches is present in Firefox 43 + as 'See the search in the location bar results suggestions' in "Options/Preferences > Search" in the search parameters
  • Suggestion of domain in the URL bar

This new feature of the 43 version, as shown in the image, is not very useful for me, because I am more often than not visit a page on a site, instead of the domain of the site itself. Whereas before I would just have to type a letter and press ENTER, I must now hit the down arrow and click on enter. I know this isn't a lot of work, but these things annoy me. Is there a topic: config to get rid of this new behavior change?

Hmm, interesting. The first item on the list, which for me is preselected, seems to provide information on what will happen if you press enter or click the Go button. For example, if you have the URL bar auto-complete enabled (which is the default value), a corresponding site is displayed. If you disable the feature AutoFill, you could get an indication that will search in Firefox for the characters you typed. I have attached the screenshots contrast for reference.

I think that if you want to use an item in the list, you must always press the arrow pointing to the same number of times as before.

If you do not want this visual cue, it can be removed by disabling a preference, but this preference may have other important aspects that would be also disabled, so be on the lookout for unexpected changes in the behavior of the bar, and let us know there are problems.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste URLB and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete to true to false

    Who help me?

Alternatively, you can probably use a custom style rule to hide the explanatory entry, but I have not dug into that yet.

  • How to select only the URLS in the same page

I'm used to be able to select only the URL with right click of the entire page. After reinstalling Firefox, I can't use this feature more. Please let me know what kind of add-on, I need to have. Thank you

I looked in the Wayback Machine for an older version of this page. He said:

Multi links allows you to open, copy or favorite of several links at the same time rather than having to do them all individually.

To open, links copy or bookmark, you simply right-click and do to drag a rectangle around the links to the desire to act. When you release the right mouse button, you will open/copy/bookmark these links.

Note: The Wayback Machine does not cache downloads real extension due to the limitations of robots.txt on the site of modules.

One of these current extensions could be partial replacement:

I have not tried any of them myself.

  • How to change the URL of google?

    Hello
Currently I use Mozilla Firefox & Google Chrome for my navigation. But recently (4 days ago) it's URL has changed. Whenever I want to search anything through these two browser the URL appeared in 'Hong Kong' site. In search bar "https://www.google.com.hk".
This thing happen. But I don't want to "hk". How can I solve this problem?

Try to clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that are causing problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

    How can I do?

    You can watch this extension:

  • I type kickass.to and it removes the url and remains on the current page.

So, I've heard of Mozilla blocklist. Normally, I can choose to ignore a warning and connect anyway, but for this particular site, Mozilla seems to know what's best for me in not letting me even enter in the url. That is what it is?

    Hello Daryl95,

Can you try disabling the built-in phishing protection.

Type in the address bar: Subject: preferences #security

Clear the check boxes under 'Général'

    Try and keep us updated.

  • Firefox continues to change the url that I entered

I've updated a Web site. When I paste the url in Firefox it keeps changing and display a different page.

The one I want is http://megalithmovers.org/blog-2015-10-24.htm
Firefox continues to change it to http://megalithmovers.org/blog-2015-01-24.htm
The two pages are valid (they have the date in the url as YYYY-MM-DD)
I know that the url is valid, that I stuck in other browsers. Somewhere FF has cached the page in January. Being too smart for that is good, it's settled I've mistyped the url and displays this page, not the one October.
I deleted all the history of this site, but that makes no difference.

Please don't tell me to restore the FF default settings - I'll have to re - install all Addons then.

I had no problem with this link.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the < shift >

key and then from Firefox. Is always the problem?

  • Force firefox to open, not save the .url files.

    Hello!

I need a way to Force Firefox to open, not to save the .url files. These files are generated by an application. The application is listed in the list of software and has the setting to open. But when the. URL link is clicked it will ask only to save. I need to open the file. not to save it.

    Thanks in advance.

A .url file is a type of special file created by Microsoft.
Firefox is a cross-platform application and can't stand all the platform-specific files as does a browser that is designed for this platform.

Try to ask for advice on forum of stack overflow's website to see if they know of an alternative.

  • I need the URL for the default home page so I can put it in my homepage protection, because all I get when I open the browser's "about"white."

I'm going to hell to get just the URL for the browser/Firefox start page. I just did a recovery image factory and all I get after downloading and installing the Firefox browser a tab that says 'about white." I don't get the URL in the address bar so that I can put this URL in my homepage of protection (I use Advanced System Care ultimate). Once I get this URL and place it in the area of protection of homepage of my security software, I'll be ready to go, because I want to use Firefox as my default browser. I searched the frequently asked questions and asked the question in every way that I know, in English, and there seems to be no one there who can tell me just the URL of the start page. While I do not understand why it is so hard to get, I certainly need and would be grateful for a solution to this problem.

It is actually called Subject: Home , but the only way to know would be if you were viewing the page and called to the top of the Page Info dialog... who, for future reference you can get using one of these methods:

    • Right click on a box empty page and select View Page Info
    • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info
    • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > more information
  • How can you keep the url displayed in the address bar?

With some (but not all) URLs of links display briefly but disappear when the page loads. (Example, I was able to capture is: < < http://www.eaa.org/en/eaa/eaa-news-and-aviation-news/2015-news/08-20-2015-tuskegee-next-teen-flies-with-young-eagles-chairman > >)
The address bar then return to "search for or type the address" (in italics).
There are many who suffer from this problem (see forum "Urls are no longer visible in the address bar") but no useful responses are given, only tips to "Start in safe mode", which does not solve the problem.

Hmm, I've not seen this before.

Normally, I expect only the text placeholder to appear if the address bar has been selected and you press on delete or BACKSPACE to remove the URL of the page. In this case, you can press ESC to restore it. The next time you see this, you can try pressing ESC?

There are a few different keys that can move focus to the address instead of the page bar, in which case it is a keyboard problem. These include:

    • F6
    • CTRL + L
    • ALT + D

If you notice any pattern to it, which could help improve the diagnosis!

  • Cannot set the URL to the new tab from windows 10 update?

With windows 7 I had edited the subject: config so that when open a new tab it always open a page of google. Since I updated to windows 10 it now only shows top sites, even if the subject: the configuration file shows that he has set to open google. I even reset it and re-entered the url, but it did not work. Does anybody know a solution for this?

In Firefox pref browser.newtab.url 41 disappeared. This pref was taken hostage by malware too frequently for Mozilla decided to remove this pref to eliminate this kind of diversion.
You will need an extension like this one to restore.
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

Or to have your home page as the new tab page, try this extension.
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage/

If you're using Classic theme restaurant, go to the options of CTR > general UI (2) and set your preference for the new tab URL there.

  • Firefox doesn't load the URLS of sites window, but will charge by search engine

Firefox will not load any site that I type in the URL window. It loads any location of the tile to start or Google search results page. But never directly.

The problem started a week ago.

The problem persists in safe mode. I have a few extensions and plug-ins (No Add ons) but I have not installed new in the last year.

I uninstalled it and installed a clean place. I did a refresh. Hardware accelerator is disabled. The only thing I have not tried is to create a new profile.

    I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 64 (although Mozilla is x 86).

My security system is provided by Zone Alarm, but it has been the case for at least five years and never had a problem before.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

The most likely cause is a bug in Firefox that has not yet been set.
You need to rename a particular profile data file. Your browsing history will be lost, but the browser working again. It is hoped that there will be a better fix in Firefox itself soon.

Current fix suggested. (Bug 1180419 partner)
Rename the places.sqlite file as explained in this recently revised article.

    For more details, please see

    P. S.
Please post to say how you're going.
I know it's rather unlikely survey solution.
I don't know if this particular problem standard reinstall, reinstall clean same standard don't fix it not she. The Firefox update also does not resolve it.
