Installation Mavericks: Temporary unavailable

Hello

my friend gave the MacBook Pro A1278 with the Mavericks. But he told me that I have to reinstall OS X.

I booted to the OS X utilities and erase the drive. Then I tried to install OS X Mavericks, but was an error:

"This article is temporary unavailable." Please try again later. »

I read, it may be because of that my account is not linked to any OS X. And I have to go to "get help online", connect on iCloud and then I install OS X.

Unfortunately, it didn't help me.

Then in my Windows PC, I burned the file dmg to USB and tried to install it. But I got an error: prohibitory symbol

How do I install OS X Mavericks on this MacBook?

Thank you!

A friend. It was their responsibility to reinstall OS X for resale or gift.

The only source for OS X is OS X App store, or Apple starting in recovery recovery/Internet servers. Given that you are suggesting that you tried to burn a dmg to USB on your Windows PC, and it wouldn't boot - this means that you get a full installer of Apple's OS X and illegal software - that goes beyond the framework of help here with bootleg software.

Schedule an appointment with your Apple store nearest, or certified Apple Reseller and see if they can get a legal copy of Mac OS X installed. Mavericks can simply not be an option, and El Capitan will be all that you can get.

  • Internet recovery installation Mavericks not El Capitan

    Hello

I am trying to reinstall OS X of the recovery of the Internet. I had been running El Capitan, but when I boot to the recovery of the Internet, it installs the Mavericks.

I can easily update from here, but I'm trying to understand why this happens? It will always return to the operating system that comes originally on the computer? Or is there a way to change this?

    Thank you!

It is supposed to return to the origin of the computer OS.

  • Installation on disk external USB - "Closed circle" after the first restart of the installer

I tried to install on my MacMini Sierra (end 2012, Mavericks) to an external Seagate USB 3.0 drive 3TO. The drive is freshly formatted with utility disk (, logged, etc. extended partition GUID) and retired in good health.

Installation always fails on the first reboot. On the first reboot, the screen goes black, there is a white Apple and white progress bar that moves two or three times to the right and then clears the screen and dreaded him circle with a diagonal line appears. Force reboot simply repeats the process.

So, I decided to try and install the Mavericks (the OS on the internal SSD flash of the Mac mini disc) of the partition of the USB 3.0 drive recovery external. This eventually ended up with a white screen, the dreaded circle of diagonal and a widget of rotation for several hours. Force restart it worked and a new Workgroup installation Mavericks was now hard disk external and implemented to date.

Another attempt to install Sierra on the external hard drive, but this time the Mavericks running on the external hard drive is not in the same way with the dreaded circle and the diagonal line.

Near ideas, I tried to install Sierra on an old Seagate 500 GB disk firewire external hard. Shock, horror... it worked without any problem.

Sierra is simply not install on an external USB 3.0 :-(3 TB drive

Someone has it successfully? Any ideas?

    The saga continues...

I tried the USB of the FW - same problem Imaging reader drive.

I tried to start the Sierra - same problem recovery partition USB drive.

    WORKAROUND SOLUTION:

I plugged the USB3 drive on a cheap Chinese USB2 hub and... Sierra, booted from the USB3 drive! Obviously not ideal speed wise, but it'll do for now.

Sierra really dislike my external Seagate Go Flex Desk media USB3 drive when it is plugged directly into a USB3 port on my Mac Mini end of 2012.

[Keep in mind, the Mavericks had no problem installing and running on the drive USB3.]

Your identifier Apple never bought Mountain Lion, so you can't install it.

You can buy a DVD of Snow Leopard from Apple and buy a code thus avoiding lion to be used in the App Store.

If you Ctrl-click on the button update are he gives you an option to hide the update?

The App Store is to notice that there is a copy of the Mac OS X Installer Mavericks somewhere on your Mac

or on an external drive connected, do you think you might have a copy somewhere. It's called Mavericks.app

you could try a Spotlight search.

Or you can uncheck automatically updates in the App Store preferences in system preferences.

    Hello Viposhan,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

Looks like you want to reinstall OS X on your computer.  I will try to help you with this.

MacBooks 2007 came with OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or OS X 10.5 (Leopard) installed.  To reinstall the OS X on a Mac 2007 you need discs that came with the computer or the discs for any version of Mac OS X upgrade you bought.  Place the disc in the disc drive, hold the C key and turn on the computer.  It should boot from the disc.  Follow the prompts from there.  Recovery of the Internet did not become available until that models Mac later.

If you don't have the original disks, OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) would work for a computer in 2007 and is available on the Apple Store online here:

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

  • My Mac Pro came with Yosemite. Is available everywhere for download?

    Hello

I put in error to El Capitan without realizing my backup Time Machine disk was not good. I hate El Capitan. Is there any where that I can reinstall Yosemite which I was perfectly satisfied?

Restart with the Option keys and command R keys, erase or repartitioning the internal drive and install the operating system from it. If this installs Mavericks and you did not previously download Yosemite from the Mac App Store, go to a physical Store and ask.

New drive HARD & OS errors---> HP 8000 Elite Small Form Factor PC

Can not install Win XP on another hard drive

I know that the software works with Windows XP.
Do not want to remove the original HDD, I tried my win7

When I re - install the original HD loaded with Win7, everything works as it
    expected.

Any ideas on what] s going on here?

    Hello:

The problem is that you must incorporate the necessary sata ahci drivers for windows XP to see the hard drive.

Has Windows 7 and XP is too old an operating system to make them.

Read the info at the link below, section of Intel and then read the downloadable PDF document for instructions on how to integrate all the drivers.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/SATA-drivers-for-XP-solution-on-0x0000007B-BSOD/m-p/114120#M17758

The only other way to install XP on this model is to go into the bios, the storage section and change the setting of sata ahci to ide emulation, save the setting here and once again, when you go out.

The problem is that if you do this, you cannot change the setting for the preferred setting of DCIS, unless you know how to install the correct ahci sata driver after installing XP from the controller.  If you try to just change the setting back on ahci without having to install the controller driver, the PC does not start upward.

Try "slipstreaming" the drivers first and if you can't swing, install XP in IDE mode and I'll help you get the drivers installed, so you can change the BIOS to ahci setting.

  • aGPS cannot automatically updated to 2.1

After upgrade to 2.1 - update1. I noticed the aGPS feature are of very little sensitive.

My setting is 'Use wireless networks' has been activated only in «Location & security»

Google maps cannot automatically update the location until you restart the phone.

"Location temporary unavailable service" always displays.

PS. erasure of data were carried out after 2.1 update.

    Can anyone help?

It should be a serious bug, try to switch to wifi (no need to connect what either), AGPS work and displays your current location. Swtich off wifi, Google map will show the place you start up your phone first and will not update your current location.

  • Conspiracy of the orbit

The plot of the orbit has a "curious" feature that I can't move.  If the probe angle is less than 180 degrees, the position is correctly mapped on the chart.  If the probe angle is greater than 180 degrees, labels x and go!   The graph is plotted correctly, phases are calculated correctly, but the plot shows reversed labels.   Any suggestions?

I discovered that the "OA orbit Plot.vi' has a Subvi in which the angle of the probes are compared and then cancelled if the angle between the probes is greater than 180 degrees (not a useful feature in my case).  By changing this Subvi, I disabled successfully this 'feature '.

More specifically, inside the orbit Plot OATS .vi (filtered), there is a Subvi, called "Arbitrary OAT probe Angle Compensation.vi".   Inside of this VI there a Subvi, called "probe Angle Preprocess.vi".  The logic in this VI transposes the probes when the angle between X and there is greater than 180 degrees.  There must be a reason for this Automation, but it interferes with what I'm trying to do.  I just bypassed the logic in this VI, put the signal across the field from the multiplication of the degrees-to-radian, to define the Boolean to always 'False' (do not change the channel) and saved it.  It works now, the probe labels are not reversed when channel is greater than 180 degrees.  In my case, the probes have been implemented, keyphasor to X channel, Y probe located at 270 degrees of the probe of X.

This information can be useful if, in the domain, during the installation of temporary probes, one chooses the X probe to be low-rotation of the probe of Y.
