  • dv7t-6100cto: which improved processors will work in this notebook

I'm getting a new computer in the near future or upgrade the one I have. I don't know which processor upgrade path has this computer. Here are the specs: Chipset HM65, taken G2 (rPGA988B), 165 m, I7-2720QM card mother HP.

On the Intel websitethere are some of the sandy Bridge and some processors Ivy Bridge that will work with this chipset, but I don't know if HP has imposed a stricter paramiters on what will work the cpu on this forum. Any direction you know where I can get pertinant information.

I appreciate this info. I am influenced to go ahead and make a new version of a desktop when the need arises, because they have more potential for a faster processor. I can wait the Skylake finally surface. have not found much info on it yet, just a lot of speculation so far, it seems. Thank you for your help.

  • If the processor will work with computer

I have the HP s5610f and I was wondering if the AMD Athlon X 2 280'll will work in my computer without modification? I'm trying to get the cpu faster than can handle my stock setup and it seems to be.

    Hello

Upgrade processor specifications can be found here.

This list of AMD processorsshould work with the exception of the 'B' models This list is on the official website of AMD.  The processor you have selected is not yet listed.

Know what the return policy is before you buy anything.

  • This processor will work in my CV?

I took a chance on this processor on ebay cause the price was right and the hope that this will work but HPs specs on my mobo leaves scratching me my head... the model of the proc that I bought is (AMD Athlon II X 4 620 2.6 GHz Quad - Core (ADX620WFK42GI) processor) my computer I want to put in is a HP pavalon p6203w

the motherboard is a M2N68-(Narra5), it has an AMD Athlon II X 2 215 2700 MHz @ which is an AM3 socket and on their spec for proc upgrade page it says

    TDP: 95W
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
NOTE: only the socket AM2 processors + are supported with this motherboard.
    AMD Phenom II Quad-Core
    AMD Phenom II Triple-Core
    AMD Phenom Quad-Core (A) 9xxx series (AM2 +)
    AMD Phenom Triple-Core (T) 8xxx series (AM2 +)
    AMD Athlon X 4
    AMD Athlon X 3
    AMD Athlon X 2 (B) (AM2 +)

that those are my options, so I hope someone can get to know if it will work, before I try to install it thanks

It looks like it might, but keep in mind that when Windows detects that you have a new processor, it could decide to-authenicate your license if it is an OEM license.  I know it would make if you change motherboards, but perhaps someone else can talk to the processor being changed.  Whatever you do, don't forget to do a full system backup on an external hard drive before making any changes.

    Good luck.

  • Graphics cards (what will work?-Minimum to run CS6)

    Hello

The community has been very helpful so far, thank you!

I'm looking for purchase first CS6 and run it on a computer with a processor AMD Phenom II 6 with 8 GB of ram. The video card is a Radeon 2 gig model, not on the list supported for graphics acceleration. It'll work at all, or do I need to have a new graphics card (I don't like on the GPU acceleration)? The rest of my configuration meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.

Keep in mind that I don't do much in the way any type of newsreel of the effects etc., shoots and interviews for my portfolio. CS6 is the only version available in my school at a discount and will be going to the service cloud in may, so I want to act now and get a copy to use in the coming years.

    Thank you

Your system should work OK but will modify you half-resolution instead of the full resolution when you use AVCHD. You can watch the video link. An i7 and inexpensive GT 640 would work well for editing native AVCHD but a GTX 650 it would be even better.

Two of these GPUS are somewhat unbalanced with a processor i7, mainly due to their relatively low graphics memory bandwidth: 28.5 Gbps and 86.4 GB/s, respectively. However, there is a new version of the GTX 650 it which just introduced: the GTX 650 it Boost (make sure that it says specifically "push" after the "GTX 650 Ti"). This GPU has the same 768 hearts CUDA as the regular GTX 650 Ti, but with a lot more bandwidth memory (144 GB/s against 86.4 GB/s).

You are incorrect about the GTX 650 it. It can read several layers of matttes of track using native AVCHD in full resolution. The GPU GTX 650 it is infact a bottleneck by the CPU. The i7 will choke and 100% after four layers of native AVCHD. The GPU GTX 650 TI could easily reproduce only 8 PIPs provided native AVCHD i7 CPU can decode as many layers, but it may not. Don't forget that the original poster of this thread won't do a lot of fancy effects. As the GT 640 might be a better buy based on the users needs. I agree the GTX 650 it boost would be peform better than the standard GTX 650 it but the i7 would be the neck of the bottle not GTX 650 it. I just wanted to correct Miss information.

  • The Intel HD Graphics drivers update

I have a laptop sony vaio vpcy216gx. I'm running on 64-bit windows 7 Professional. I noticed that the sony intel hd graphics driver supports opengl not like its supposed to. When you use an opengl extension Viewer it says it only supported 1.1, I then installed the stock intel hd graphics driver from their site and they had opengl support up to 2.1. However, I could not stay with her because he has caused my computer too unstable and crashed.

my current sony driver version: 8.15.10.2202
the version of the driver intel stock I tried: 8.15.10.2321

I was wondering if there was more old or new, drivers preference of sony that would support better opengl. Thanks in advance!

    Hello
Thank you for your comments, but at the moment, there are no more recent or separate updates to the intel HD Graphics, other than the original driver.
