Internet of Jabber Clients through VCSe calls

Hi Experts,

We have provisioned on CUCM 8.6.2 Jabber clients and Movi customers supplied on VCS control (X 7.0) and TMS (13.2.1)

We will deploy VCSexpressway soon to our society.

My request is that it will be possible for the Jabber Clients on CUCM to call outside our company. I know Movi would work, but not sure of Jabber clients.

Could someone help me? If it can work, how it is possible?

Thank you

Saurabh

Slim,

It should work very well. !! Once you make a call to jabber client that calls flow would be to track Express VCS de VCS control and then again in venture capital control of CUCM on the sip trunk.

the only thing is that you must develop with the numbering plan so that it should not conflict with other numbering on the vcs control plans.

Rgds,

Alok

  • Jabber (Internet) video->->->-> Jabber CUCM VCSC VCSE for windows

    First of all, I tried Jabber Video (Intranet)->->-> Jabber CUCM VCSC for windows, video and audio are fine, by establishing a SIP trunk between VCSC and CUCM and Zone rule settings and VCSC research.

    Secondly, Jabber (Internet) Video-> VCSE-> VCSC-> Video (Intranet) Jabber, audio and video are very well by estalishing TraversalZone between VCSE and VCSC, as well as the search area in VCSE and VCSC rule.

    There is an obvious idea comes... Jabber (Internet) video->-> VCSC VCSE-> CUCM-> Jabber for windows.

    I tried by two means:

    Option A: I try through Jabber video (Internet)-> VCSE-> TraversalZone-> VCSC-> SIP Trunk-> CUCM-> Jabber for windows, acutally, there isn't any configuration required in VCSE/VCSC/CUCM, because when you dial [email protected] / * /, the VCSE will route the call to the VCSC and then it will move the call to CUCM, but I couldn't get to this subject, the logging of the VCSC He always showed in the message below:

    1. received VCSC VCSE SIP protocol prompt, call [email protected] / * /

    2 VCSC answered VCSE SIP 407 Proxy authentication required.

    3 VCSE answered the VCSC SIP ACK

    I don't know what is the problem here, or additional configuration required, but the call to certainly VCSC already, but I don't know what is the way of the authentication of 407 proxy here... If the Jabber (Internet) Video-> VCSE->-> Video (Intrante) Jabber VCSC, it isn't this 407 proxy authentication in logging.

    Option b: I'm going through Jabber video (Internet)-> VCSE-> SIP Trunk-> CUCM-> Jabber for windows, with the rule of necessary research, in this way, when Jabber (internet Video) composition Jabber for windows, it sounds, and when picked up, one way audio (from Jabber for windows to Jabber video) set up, no video.

    It is normally an authentication problem. I think that you run a software X7.x on your SPRDD? If so, try to activate "treat as authenticated" on the crossing area 'Authentication policy' (both directions, if it is set to "do not verify the credentials") and see if you get the P - asserted-Identity "authenticated" a header then and make a call from the internet, routed throug the VCS - c to your CUCM.

    Are your rules of research on the VCS - c, the value "request must be authenticated = Yes"?

    Hope this helps,

  • Cannot call the Jabber Client customer Movi

    Hi team,

    We cannot call Jabber Client customer Movi using client SIP URI of Movi.

    Here is the photo of the back-end infrastructure: -.

    CUCM: 8.6.2

    VCS: X7.2

    TMS: 13.2.1

    CUPS: N/A

    The Jabber Clients are sized CUCM and CUPS. MOVI Clients are provisioned on the TMS and VCS.

    I've referred a case of TAC and TAC engineer informed that dialing SIP URI is not supported Jabber client on CUCM 8.6.2 Movi

    Could someone provide me with the Bug ID or valid document that says. ?

  • Random Jabber disconnections of MCU calls

    Good afternoon

    Hope you can help me. I've seen a few posts with these error messages in but they are not quite what is happening here

    My customer is having a problem, where a number of their Jabber users (for windows) is randomly calls MCU is disconnected on their server of telepresence. The disconnection occurs in less than a minute.

    None of the presentations are shared when this happens.

    The errors are:

    Operation BYE failed because the network error

    End of appeal because INVITE it transaction timeout

    Call due to the failure of closing invitations

    GST 320 - software version: 4.0 (2.8)

    Made - known Jabber clients versions 4.4 and 4.7

    Currently waiting for the client to update me on MSDS, blade of conductor and versions of software VCSE and VCSC

    I hope you can help

    Thank you very much

    In general, this is because of a network problem, where SIP messages are not sent correctly between Jabber and reliable TP server, in this case, I'm guessing the OK/acknowledgement of receipt are not sent to the head of the Orchestra/TP server and the server TP is disconnecting the call. Is there a firewall in the mixture, do you SIP ALG turned on? If I look at the firewall and disable SIP algo

  • Jabber client - encryption of VCS Expressway with MRA

    Hi all

    I'm working on the implementation of MRA for a video solution existing. Version CUCM is 9.1.2 (no IM & P server), vcs - c and vcs-e 8.2.2.  Client Jabber is 11.5.x

    I finished most of the introduction and I am able to call internally and externally through MRA.

    I still have a few things to tweak.  One is the encryption of video calling once jabber connects from outside.  From my understanding, the thigh jabber call end point and VCS Expressway uses TLS. But when I run wireshark on the PC with Jabber client, I don't see the RTP stream as being encrypted.

    CUCM my jabber device does not use a secure profile.  Is it ok or not?

    Please let me know if more are needed.  Thank you

    You can confirm the call is encrypted from the client of jabber MRA by doing as follows (I used 11.5 jabber client, if you are using an older client, I can't guarantee this method):

    1. make a call from the client jabber ARM, once the call is configured and media is established, you can end the call.
    2. create a jabber client problem report (help > report a problem...)
    3. Enter the required details and save the .zip file.
    4 extract the file "jabber.log" from the .zip file. Since this file (at least since the version of client jabber 11.5) has the SIP messaging included in this document, you can use TranslatorX to view the file (you can also use a text editor if you wish).
    5 generate a diagram of the log file.

    6. in the diagram of the scale, you should be able to locate the origin of the call. Search for an invitation, in my case a "RE-INVITE" and select it. A pop-up window will appear with the details of the SIP message.

    7. read the content of the message prompt of the SIP protocol (focusing on the SDP - the component of negotiating media). I won't go into detail about how to read SIP messages (there's a good article here, it is not for jabber specifically, but the same concepts apply).

    8. close the prompt message and open the message 'OK w/SDP' to examine the response of the VCS-E. The SDP response, we can confirm that the encryption settings have been accepted for the media (media will be encrypted).

    For re - apply point Jamie, unless you run CUCM in mixed mode and using security profiles, signalling/media encryption stops on the thigh of CUCM/endpoint and the VCS - C respectively. See the diagram below for reference (mixed mode not implemented).

    You need not applied to the device of CSF security profiles to obtain the encryption between the client of jabber MRA and the VCS-E. If you can decode signaling and media packets in Wireshark your jabber client, you probably will not connect via ARM (ARM is always encrypted).

    Please let us know if that helps.

  • Unable to connect to presence server Jabber clients

    Salvation;

    I am a newbie in Collaboration and to learn basics who set up a small laboratory including 11 CUCM, presence 11 and two phones 7821 Cisco. I have configured CUCM and presence and set up a SIP trunk between them according to the documents. I tried to configure the client Jabber on Windows, but in vain. first of all, I created some local users on CUCM and have some LDAP users that have been synchronized with a test AD in which both the presence and the CUCM are members of this domain. I set up a local users CUCM for Jabber Client and to configure as follows to configure the Jabber Clients according to the documents.

    My first question is the format of the user name that should be used with Jabber. client Jabber said we use "[email protected] / * /" format, but I saw the videos on the Internet using normal user name and password. regarding the fact that I have configured a local user for the Jabber CUCM, I entered in the form of "username" but Jabber said the format should be as "[email protected] / * /'." "

    the second problem is that even after writing the user name in this format, the Jabber said that 'not to communicate with the server'. I can ping the CUCM and presence server both by using their ip addresses and hostnames through my PC on which is installed the Jabber. also I wrote serves him the IP address on the Jabber client while trying to connect the Jabber instead of their host names. is there any requirement to be member of a single domain?

    I tried Jabber for iPad to connect to the presence, but in vain too. y at - it knows no question or tips about the present? Otherwise, I can explain the steps I went through them to set up the presence and the CUCM for Jabber clients.

    best regards;

    Because for the most part, allows you to know the details of connection SRVs and SRVs work based on the field.

    You have successfully configured your SRVs according to configuration guides?

    It is very likely that some missing config or a misconfiguration.

    I have videos on how to configure the IM & P as well as Jabber config integration

  • Jabber provisioning on VCSE

    Hello

    How VCS control decides to send the Public or internal settings.

    I'm having a problem at a single facility, where VCS control always sends the XML ProvData with the internal settings, even if the Subscribe message is mandated VCS highway.

    We are in short X7.2.1 and TMS 13.2.2 with TMSPE.

    Best regards
    Paul

    Paul,

    When video Jabber tries to get provisioning configuration, VCS provisioning will choose the 'Public' values in the configuration directory if provisioning subscribe was sent from the video Jabber client using the address defined in the external 'VCS' address field on the Jabber client video.

    Provisioning SUBSCRIBE contains a SIP header called 'Event', and and the end of this header, there is a parameter called "connectivity." This parameter will be set to '1' if the SUBSCRIPTION has been sent using the external 'VCS' address and put "0" if it is sent using the internal "VCS" address, as in this example where it is set to 1':

    SIPMSG:

    | Sip SUBSCRIBE:[email protected] / * / SIP/2.0

    Via: SIP/2.0/TLS 10.1.1.1:59784; branch = z9hG4bKe980a321dc3f55a2afa41d228f4182ca.1; received = 10.1.1.1; rport = 59784

    Call ID: [email protected]/ * /.

    CSeq: 201 SUBSCRIBE

    Contact:

    From: [email protected] / * />; tag = 2383a23476b4d6fa

    In: [email protected] / * />

    Max-Forwards: 70

    Directions:

    User-Agent: TANDBERG/771 (MCX 4.2.0.10318 (multistream))

    Expires: 3600

    Event: ua-profile;model=movi;vendor=tandberg.com;profile-type=user;version=4.2.0.10318;clientid="D919D74C-DCB5-4D63-BBC1-0FAD94B8820C";connectivity=1

    Accept: application/pidf + xml

    Content-Length: 0

    The VCS provisioning will give the values 'Public' whenever 'connectivity' is set to 1.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hidden video of the Jabber Client for SX20

    Hello

    We test on the jabber for Windows client and the only way we can get it to connect is by forcing the H323 Protocol (ie: H323:[email protected] / * /) and the launch of the SX20.  When we do this, we can only see and hear what is happening to the SX20 and the SX20 shows no audio / video from the Jabber client.

    We we try to connect directly on the SX20, it says that the device is in offline mode.

    The jabber client is able to support video and audio on H323?

    Thank you

    Hi Jesse,.

    Unfortunately, the free beta Cisco Jabber video service does not support H.323 calls.  This service is SIP URI based the appeal only.

    Kind regards

    iPhone - call you once it rings busy.  Good return resonates through her call.

    We have an iPhone 5 c and 5 s in the family.  I don't know if it's a phone number or a vendor number.  When I call my girls, it sounds occupied first (never show on their real phone) and then I remembered.  SOMETIMES, it really sounds through the second time, but not always.

    Is it a provider problem?  A phone number?  I don't know where to start.

  • Error when you try to use VoIPBuster to place VoIP calls: Client for VoIP calls has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.

    Client to make VoIP calls

    I recently started having problems, make VoIP calls from my computer.  I use VoIP Busters (and using it for a few years without any problems).  Evertime I try to call the destination phone rings a couple of times and then stop.  The next thing that happens is an error message that says: "Client for VoIP calls has stopped working.  Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.  It is followed by another screen that says: "a problem caused blocking the program working properly."  Windows will close the program and inform you is a solution available. "  Nothing happens.  How to overcome this problem.

    I finally had to resort to the re-installation of Windows.  This solves the problem.  But don't forget to back up your computer and email address / addresses before you do.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet via AP WAP54G through a BEFSR41 wired router

    I'm puzzled. This connection was working fine but something changed... I don't know how he did. I connect to the internet via a WAP54G through a BEFSR41 to a cable modem. I checked all the settings and even reset several times but nothing helped. I can connect wireless to the WAP54G but no internet connection. The signal strength is excellent. The Vista wireless interface signals that I am connected but only locally with no internet relay. What's wrong? What I forgot. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Solved the problem. Seems a sequence to these pair of power and even if I cycled power, I did not properly. Also, I created a new wireless network to ensure that nothing is associated with the former network that has been tampered contributed to the issue.

  • Windows Jabber client

    I strive to Jabber Windows installation client.

    I CUCM 9.1.2 and joined my announcement in CUCM. I installed Windows Jabber 11.1.1 and can login with my account AD information.

    But now that I get. I have a red bottom left of Jabber. I searched help and he says:

    Connection error. Ensure the server information in the PhoneServices tab on the Options window is correct. Contact yoursystem administrator for assistance.
    However, I looked and there isn't a telephone Services tab in the Options window. So I looked further and found a document saying configure the instant messaging and presence. But then I found another document saying that IM and presence has been fully integrated in CUCM 9 and later. I don't have a presence server right now and don't even know if I need one or not. Until the tinykitty am supposed to do? Completely lost in ass of Cisco. I well it might be interesting giving Jabber to everyone but is just a confusion and frustration and more I work with Cisco more, I hate it.

    You posted in the wrong forum, this forum was for the 'free' JabberVideo service that was received by Cisco, no Jabber.

    Suggestions you move this to the Jabber Client forum where you have a better chance of getting a response.

  • Cannot communicate with the server error 11.5 Jabber clients Windows and Mac

    Hi guys,.

    I recently installed CUCM 11.5 (No. Cisco instant messaging and presence) in my lab. Its a simple installation without the LDAP server using the internal directory CUCM to set up customers. I am successfully able to connect to Jabber via my iPhone and iPad on 11.5 Jabber clients or 11.6. I am also able to connect to jabber in windows machine if I use the version of the client Jabber 9.7. However, if I use 11.5 Jabber on the Windows client, it gives me "cannot connect with Server error." On Macbook, I get this error on all the versions I used including old version 9.6.

    The only thing that I noticed that it is option for iPhone Jabber Client forward to put the ip of the CUCM server on option Phone Service only. There are in Windows or Mac Jabber Client 11.6, arrangement for CCM 9 or a later version, where I put my CUCM server IP address.  Am I missing something?

    Kind regards

    Hello

    Just check that you have configured on the system--> the server on cucm entry. If its host name or the FULL domain name, I think your jabber for windows try to solve but unable to do so because of no connectivity to the DNS server or no entry in the DNS server.  Try it below to check if she.

    Change the host file on PC windows from the location below,

    C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

    Once you pass on the location and add the cucm entry in the host file, reset your jabber and mention the cucm for connection ip address manually and then check.

  • Disable the content on the Jabber client

    Hello

    Just thought that I had double check, I suspect that the answer is no - are there any way to disable the sharing of content (BFCP) on the Jabber client (without making any changes on the infrastructure)?

    Thank you

    Hi Darren,

    No you can not disable it on video Jabber. However if you have a sheath with a specific neighbor where you don't want users of content sharing then made a custom in VCS area and disable the option of BFCP here!

    Any special requirement, why you want to disable this feature?

    I pass the names of customers across the netConnection URI to onConnect sideways client-side Server and put the name of an object on the server side and then call like that. This is not tested, so you may have to tweak particularly this.acceptConnection (customer);

    client side

    NC1.createNetConnection ("rtmp://domainname/test/ins0", username);

    serverside

    application.onAppStart = function()
    {

    this.userObj = new Object();

    }

    application.onConnect = {function (client, userName)}

    client.userName1 = userName;
    this.userObj [client.userName1] = client;

    this.acceptConnection (customer);

    application.userObj ["joe"] .call ("serverDoDisconect");
