Internet subnet mask is invalid - RVS4000 - error on the wan configuration

Hi, I am trying to configure my RVS4000 to have access to the internet and get this error.

I have my DSL ISP (585v7 - latest firmware bethere.co.uk) modem set to bridge mode and the internet connection is up (under the lights).

I then plugged my RVS4000 him and through the browser interface management I try to configure my static IP using my allocated (and proven - I use them now on a router netgear & modem) Details.

I'm going to 'wan configuration' and choose 'Type of 'static IP' Internet connection' and then enter my known IP, subnet mask, gateway by default and DNS details and as soon as I select 'save' I get the error "Internet subnet is invalid. (Please enter again". To avoid a problem with browser field validation, I tried this in IE and Safari.

Can someone point me in the right direction please? It seems such a simple thing but I can't make it work / accept the correct values.

Thank you!

Well, I finally got your TIFF files, and noticed something really weird...

You have your subnet mask shown in the screenshot for the RVS4000 as 225.225.240.0.

This is an incorrect subnet mask. Did you mean to put something in the direction of 255.255.240.0?

    Hello

    I can't add/subnet mask 31 255.255.255.254 ISP WAN > static IP setting in VPN Firewall SRX5308. When I try to apply it, I get the popup error message like "invalid IP subnet mask. Please enter 0/128/192/224/240/248/252 for octet 4 ". I try to add provider NTU fiber optic internet service in one of the 4 WAN settings. The vendor gave me a 31 block IP and the subnet as 255.255.255.254 mask. It is a limitation in this firewall? I have to ask the provider to give me a 30 block the IP instead? With 30 block IP subnet mask will be 255.255.255.252 who is authorized by this firewall setting. I tried this on another (SnapGear SG560) firewall and it works without any problem. See the screenshots below. Can someone please?

    / 31 would be used in specific scenarios where you * really * need to keep the address space and on links only point to point. To be honest I've never met anyone, or any ISP that uses it. It works on point to point, because, well, there no need to broadcast address because there are only two devices on the link (one on each side of the cable)... IP address ranges would be;. 0-. 1,.2-. 3, etc.

    Most (if not all) Netgear devices will prevent you from setting 31, but you will probably be able to use without problem in all 30 cases, according to the setup of the ISP I do not think that it would cause you problems really. But if you can, I would certainly ask a 30 instead.

  • Connect-VIServer throws the invalid URI error in the Studio of Powershell, but is very well outdoors

    I don't know if it's a problem of Powershell Studio 2014 or PowerCLI, but other people have reported the "invalid URI: the hostname could not be parsed" error, so I'll start here.

    I have a PowerCLI 5.0.1 on Windows 7, Powershell v2.0 and Powershell Studio 2014.

    In my script, when I run the Connect-VIServer-Server $server command, the command fails and generates the invalid URI error.  However, when I run my script in the command window PowerCLI, the script works fine.

    I guess I have a problem of environment in the Studio of Powershell, but wonder what circumstances causes PowerCLI to raise this error.

    So far, I have not had much luck with Studio 2014 Powershell and PowerCLI, don't know if it's powershell v2.0 or something else.

    It looks like a Studio of Powershell environment problem.

    I have many ps1 files and use the point of supply to load the files ps1 in support which includes the call to connect-VIServer.  When I put the connect-VIServer in the file main ps1 I can connect to my vCenter, but when I put in the origin file, I cannot connect, nor can fact the fitting of test-work order.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

    You can copy the SQL code generated by ODI (for the stage which gives this error) and then try to run it through any SQL client like toad / developer sql etc.
    This will help you find erroneous data.

    Also is LAST_MODIFIED and LAST_ACCESSED have as VARCHAR2 data type? The name it seems that it is lying do DATE.

  • INVALID IDENTIFIER error in the statement ON

    I have problems with this SELECT statement in a report with the search items. The item sought in Question matches the string "Email". Any activity record that 'Email' in the field of the activity_type must be selected. The line of code is:

    Select user_name, total of (select user_name, count (*) total from eba_ver2_cust_activity where activity_type = group e-mail user_name)
    order by 2 desc, desc 2

    There are some substitutions here. The 'Email' value is: P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE on the page.

    The error I get is:

    Failed to parse the SQL query:
    ORA-00904: "EMAIL": invalid identifier

    The problem is that the string constant is interpreted as an identifier name. Some sbustitutions are made to the general SELECT statement that fails. The relevant part of the code generating the wrong SELECTION is:

    If: P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE! = 'null' and: P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE is not null then
    If: P23_START_DATE is not null or: P23_END_DATE is not null then
    l_sql: = l_sql | "and activity_type_id = ' |: P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE;"
    on the other
    l_sql: = l_sql | "where activity_type_id = ' |: P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE;
    end if;

    Anyway, the content of: P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE are treated as means of identification instead of a string. Help, please.

    What is the error you see? It can be as Tony said above, that you do not close your last statement. Here is what should look like this block of code:

    if :P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE != '%null%' and :P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE is not null then
    if :P23_START_DATE is not null or :P23_END_DATE is not null then
    l_sql := l_sql || ' and activity_type_id = ''' || :P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE || '''';
    else
    l_sql := l_sql || ' where activity_type_id = ''' || :P23_ACTIVITY_TYPE || '''';
    end if;
    end if;

    Note This is a series of simple "quotes.

    I think that you have changed the system library JRE to your project of the BB JRE to the Oracle Java JDK.

    For your BB project, you should have in your Java Build Path libraries the JRE of BlackBerry. (Delete the rest and then add the library - JRE - Alternate JRE System Library and select BB JRE).

  • ACL subnet mask

    I read an article and excerptted a section as follows:

    "access-list 10 permit 192.168.3.0 0.0.0.255.

    This list allows the traffic of all addresses in the range 192.168.3.0 to 192.168.3.255

    You can see how the last entry looks to a subnet mask, but with the Cisco ACL, they use reverse subnet masks. ..."

    The above statement is correct? If so, that the subnet mask means if I put it in:

    access-list 10 permit 192.168.3.0 255.255.255.0?

    Thank you for helping.

    Scott

    192.168.1.0 and 192.168.2.0 always refer to the subnet itself and it is not used by any host. In addition, 192.168.1.255 and 192.168.2.255 always refer to broadcast to the subnet, and it is not used by any host.

    That's why I dit.1-.254 only. However, please don't be surprised if voir.0 is used in a network as it is possible, but not very common.

  • Target subnet mask and the gateway in different subnets and clock error

    Hi all:

    Need help. I have a standalone PC operating a direct VI on a CFP with a crossover ethernet cable (developed on my laptop, compiled and installed as a standalone on the PC). When the VI runs on standalone PC version, everything works (click the button, analyzers are read), but the time being pulled from the CFP is wrong, and infact resets to December 1969, a default value. I am error checking, and no error is marked with the CFP, slaughter programmes. When I go to the MAX function, the time playing of the CFP is the funky time. Looking at the IP addresses, I generally use a very standard protocol (192.168.000.001 for the PC, 192.168.000.002 for the CFP currently running on the subnet for the pc and the PSC 255.255.255.000). However, when I apply this Protocol on the CFP through max, it gives the error "the subnet mask you entered puts the target and the entry door to different subnets." I am not versed enough well understand this, and what I read in 2 postings here, I tried to harmonize the IP numbers and the subnet, and they do not seem to help. When I put intentionally in false numbers IP or subnet default time synchronization time correct (pc), but functions block (as expected). It is certainly not an issue of PC zone.

    Anyone can offer any guidance?

    Currently runnig LV 8.2 with drivers of 2009. PSC 1804 with MAX 4.6.

    I appreciate all help.

    Best regards;

    GIS.

    OK, I solved it. FYI: for those who are not aware of the IP: IP of the host and default gateway server to the same value. My work for the host computer are 192.168.000.001 and subnet masks can stay 255.255.255.000. The CFP has been set to 198.162.000.002 with a 90.00.00.03 DNS. Time server has been blocked by the Norton 2009 Firewall (even with an exception) and thus the cruxt of this issue together. I had to uninstall completely from this "software". I hope this helps.

    You can get in trouble with your device drivers, firmware and/or software.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get the drivers (and you shouldat least make the modem and everything you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

    Try to uninstall and then reinstall the modem again.  Remove the modem through Control Panel > phones and Modems, then uninstall the modem in Device Manager. Once the reboot is complete and it is reinstalled it should work (as long as you use the update of the above paragraph).  Make sure that you uninstall in this order.

    Are you sure that the modem is compatible with Vista and the rest of your system?  What is the manufacturer, brand and model?  You can find here:http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

  • To change default Internet connection sharing IP address range and subnet mask

    Hello

    When the ICS (ICS) is enabled on a NETWORK adapter that is connected to the direct Internet line, the second NETWORK card automatically gets the 192.168.137.1 IP address and subnet mask 255.255.255.0. As the first IP address in the address range is located on the second NIC in the computer, the other client computers receive the other IPs in the same range, for example 192.168.137.2, 192.168.137.3 and so on.

    In my case, I already have the static IP network using Network 10.0.0.0/8, I want to change default IP of 192.168.137.1/24 to 10.0.0.1/8. I managed to change the IP in Regedit - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAcces - parameters - ScopeAddress / StandaloneDHCPAddress

    that works, but default IP 10.0.0.1 has the subnet mask 255.255.255.0, how to change the subnet mask of 255.0.0.0.
