iPhone bluetooth questions

My iPhone 6 does not display my colorlink Bose speakers, although he has done in the past.  I cut and restarted without change.  He said that actually it is connected to the iPhone, but the inside diameter of the speaker appears on the bluetooth screen.  That is what it is?

Check the instructions for the Bose speaker and reset After the reset of the speaker, put discovery/torque mode and activate Bluetooth for the iPhone. See if it appears.

  • iPhone bluetooth name 7 incorrect

Hello. Through background I have recently updated from iPhone to iPhone 6 7. I followed the normal process "full backup using iCloud" copy that whole, including the name of phone (in general/about/name) which initially was "iPhone 6" but I modified manually to "iPhone 7". "

Today I went to connect to iPhone using bluetooth to attach new 7 and I could not find my iPhone anywhere (even if I could see my iPhone 6 on the list of known devices). After much exploration, I found that despite the iPhone bluetooth 7 screen saying ' now discoverable as iPhone 7 ", its been always seen as the iPhone 6. So, I deleted my old relationships and reconnected to "iPhone 6" (really my iPhone 7) and it worked.

Am I missing something, or is it a flaw in the operating system that needs fixing?

    I use:

    7 iPhone with iOS 10.0.1

MacBook Pro 13 "with MacOS 10.11.6 retina

    Hello Joe,

Thank you for asking questions about the name of the device here in Apple Support communities. I am pleased to offer a preview of it and then help you to change the name of the bluetooth connection, so that it matches the new iPhone 7.

There is nothing wrong, it's just that some areas of the aircraft (such as the name of the phone) will change since you have a new device, because it happens that the information of the current system, as well as the serial number and other information for the personal. That's how he'll distinguish your iPhone backups 7 former iPhone 6 and all other backups device iOS that you bring in iCloud or iTunes. Other areas, such as the name of a device on your Mac, will not access these same areas. If you actually see the name that was saved from the old device in the backup and presented the new device. Fear not though, we can manually change this.

Please open this help link: change of the name of a Bluetooth device. I'm sure this is the article that you need to change the name of the device on your Mac.

  • firmware for the iPhone bluetooth headset original work with the 5s iPhone

    Hello to our community,

I have a beautiful original apple iPhone Bluetooth Headset model n °: A1221

This helmet does not work correctly.

When I connect the headphones to the computer (iMac 27 "mid-2011, el Capitan 10.11.3) with the original Headset USB travel cable, headset LED is bright orange and the LED color changes to green after a few minutes.

When I disconnect the headset no lights are bright and the headphones does not work.

After charging more then 1 hour the same answer.

When I put the headset with the USB cable connected in my ear, I can hear the sound signal very low volume of pitch high e. When I push and hold the button of the headset tone is stronger.

When I disconnect the cable, the helmet is instantly dead, no lights, no sound, nothing happens when I push the button on the short headset, for a second, four seconds, 10 seconds or even longer.

Is there a possibility to reset? A new firmware? An Exchange program? Any help?

    Max

The helmet has been abandoned, I think that 2009. So, it's long after the warranty. BT headsets have come a long way since then. The Apple headset does support A2DP, now standard. I he write off and buy something current.

  • with IOS 10.0.2 - 5s iphone Bluetooth problems

Since upgrading ISO 10.0.2 my M50 from PLT Plantronics (helmet unique headset) do not reliably connects with my iPhone 5 more. I have to go to the settings, activate bluetooth turned off/turned on, touch the device on the bluetooth page, etc. Once it connects successfully, it will reconnect (if I turn off the headset and turn it back on) for a short period. The next day he does not connect itself but I play with bluetooth on the iPhone again.

It has always worked perfectly before the 10th of IOS.

And, as I noticed others mentioning, the volume is much lower with IOS 10. The maximum volume is much lower. I can barely hear it now, more normal background noise, while driving.

    I did:

Forget this device for the PLT M50 and paired again (several times)

I did a Reset Network Settings

    I don't know what else to do - but it's a 10.0.2 IOS issue.

  • iPhone Bluetooth SE delivers

I have a new iPhone SE and have so far combined with a 2014 BMW 328i and a 2011 Kia Optima and a Kia 2015 Santa Fe. In any case, I have terrible quality bluetooth call front desk... the audio during a phone call is very scratchy and distorted.

If I pair a 6 s iPhone for each of these vehicles (same iOS version – 9.3.1), I suffer these QUESTIONS and calls are clear.

When I use the iPhone SE to make phone calls outside Bluetooth, I have no problem and calls are clear.

The bluetooth on my iPhone problem IS is NOT Bluetooth music streaming. Only the scratchy sounds / distorted by phone calls.

So far, Apple, is blaming the automakers, although there are several models of vehicles and brands involved.

BMW and Kia state that it must be an Apple problem.

Apple Genius bar is absolutely no help - they claim that they cannot report "software issues" to Apple and are not able to replace bad iPhones.

I'm at a total loss as to how to get this to the attention of Apple, so they can solve the problem.

For now, I don't know what to do. As far as I know, it's that Bluetooth audio is very important for me in California since it is illegal to use your phone except for a free way to hands.

Anyone know how we can get that information to someone at Apple who can actually do something?

    Robert

    Hello

Normal Bluetooth range is about 10 meters/33 feet. Actual range varies in practice because of wireless interference, but you don't need necessarily to have your iPhone on or just around you (scope of arms, for example) for Apple Watch and matched iPhone maintain their Bluetooth connection.

Your watch can still carry out certain functions when it is not connected to your iPhone, including some that are available when your watch is connected to a known Wi - Fi network.

  • iPhone bluetooth connectivity 7

I've recently upgraded to the iPhone 7 and have had problems of intermittent connectivity with Bluetooth pairing, especially in my vehicle (Kia Optima), but also sometimes with my bluetooth (Jawbone Jambox Big) speaker. With my iPhone 6s, I could always count on turning on the car or speaker and connect it without fail. Now, my car bluetooth could pair one out of every 10 times. My speakers will pair about 75% of the time. When I try to re-pair the car (a much larger issue) often the iPhone will not see the under its section discovered in Bluetooth Handsfree device. This is not the case with my wifes 6s iPhone (it's also on iOS 10.0.1). Does anyone else have this problem?

Finally someone who has the same problem as me! I had noticed the bluetooth icon blink when I was on the phone setting up ApplePay with my CC company but I just thought it was restore my Apple Watch. Then when I left work I set up my iPhone 7 to work with my stereo handsfree in the car. It is remained connected for a little, but then randomly, he disconnects and refuses to reconnect. He does occasionally with my Apple Watch as well. Yesterday, I feel as if I had a stroke of luck using my BT headset since they worked for a good 45 min before I have them cut.

I spoke with AppleSupport on Twitter and I did the steps that they told me to do. I reset the network settings and I have not matched and repaired the stereo several times. The only thing that I did is a complete restoration of iOS which seems odd because it's an iPhone brand new. I hope that it is just an annoying bug in iOS 10.0.1 and that an update will come out in a few days to fix. Worst case is a bad chip BT and I need to swap out for a new phone.

  • IPhone Bluetooth pair with car even when I do not have a call

I recently started having a problem with my IPhone 4 s automatically picking up the sound system in cars, even if I did not call. This happens as soon as I turn on the car. When I press the keys on the phone I hear the click key in the car sound system, and the radio is removed. This happened with a Chevy Volt and a Ford CMax, then this is the phone, not the car. The only way I can make the radio work is to turn off the Bluetooth on my phone. It started only in the last week or two and I downloaded an update of the phone on the right, then, that could be the problem. Any suggestions?

If the phone is paired with the car, it will happen.

  • iPhone Bluetooth Headset open iBooks?

So I use my Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset for listening to audio books of every night.  My books are in the iBooks app is where I play.

I'm now noticed something really annoying that I can't fix.

Now, whenever I connect my Bluetooth headset, it opens the iBooks and starts to read an audio book.  It does this without any prompting from me.  The iBooks app is not really open in this case, it shows just at the bottom of the screen as a bar in the narrow application screen.  It shows also in the Control Center screen.

There are no settings for my bluetooth headset.  I looked at the settings for the iBooks, and there is nothing about it.  I went through all other screens of settings that I can find and I can't find anything on how to stop this.

It may not seem like much, but it's really annoying, and when I'm driving and I turn on my headset to answer a call, iBooks automatically begins to play on top of the current phone call.

I searched and could not find anyone else with this problem, so I don't know if this is specific to my bluetooth earpiece/headset or what, but there must be a way to stop this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

In fact, I have this problem too, and everything has happened today on my iPhone. However, I do not have a Bluetooth headset; just Sony headphones with a 3.5 mm jack. Whenever I plug my headphones in, the suggested application that could be opened appears iBooks and not music. At first I though it will be fixed by just open music, playing a song and then to pause the selected song. Later, I'll disconnect the Atria, then quickly reconnect. Then, the app suggested turns to music (as I wanted). But the proposed application back to iBooks when headphones are not connected for a long time.

  • My SE Iphone bluetooth cannot find any device. I think it will be ok when I upgrade to IOS 9.3.2 but it does not always find all devices.

My bluetooth on Iphone is not all devices. But if I pair of the other site, it gets conned. When I want to join bluetooth in the President, I can't find it. What should I do?

    Please help me the best.

If you're on 9.3.2 already try a reboot forced. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Others have reported the same problem after 9.3.2 and a FR it is resolved. Worth a try.

  • iPhone SE question 9.3.2

    Hello

I updated my iPhone to the latest version (9.3.2) SE. I use this phone in my hands free car of Mercedes C-Class (2012). Before the update, he has worked with a few minor issues (not the best sound quality, but I understand the appellant). Now, the sound is very bad. I have already removed the connection and associated with the phone again. His has not changed the situation.

Anyone else has this situation or some ideas how to fix?

    Thank you!

There are known sporadic issues with Bluetooth and IS - no satisfactory solution has been proposed but it works in all cases

    Try the following

    1. Make sure that each device you're trying to pair is in "discoverable".
    2. Control Center - tap bluetooth and turn it on again - 8 - 10 times
    3. Force restart the iPhone - after stopping applications using the app Chooser - invoked by fast double pressing the home button and drag upwards on each app until it disappears from the screen. Meet the sleep/wake and home buttons down until you see the logo  - then release and allow normal start upward
    4. Update to the latest iOS if not done
    5. Settings - general - reset - settings Reset network will need to re enter the WiFi passwords
    6. If the pencil of Apple is connected - "Forget it" and try again
    7. Backup the device to iTunes - restore as NEW (no) - see if solves problem - if yes - restore backup
    8. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

  • 6 s iPhone Bluetooth will pair with El Capitan Mac but does not connect

My employers very kindly gave me a brand new MacBook Pro running the most recent version (10.11.4) of Mac OS X.  What finish set up I need to pair my iPhone staff 6 (running iOS 9.3.1) to the computer I want to use MacID to secure my computer when I'm away from him.  While the phone would pair (pairing being initiated by the Mac) it would be briefly apply status 'connected' before going to "not connected".  When I then tried to establish a connection, I received the following message on the iPhone:

    Connection failure

    'MacBook Pro' is not supported

and the only option to close this dialog box click the device forget .

I therefore looked on my personal Mac which had previously been paired with the phone to find that he was is no longer listed in the devices Bluetooth, but when I looked in the settings for MacID running on my Mac it says "Looking for iPhone 6 s.  I tried to re-pair 6s iPhone to my personal machine and had the same results.  When I called in my TI guru we tried with his iPhone 6 (also installed 9.3.1) and had the same results.  As it's been a few months since I used MacID on my computer that I don't know when the link has been broken - after an update iOS or OS X update.  Bluetooth linking to my Apple Watch still works perfectly.  I was unable to try this out with any other Mac, I was looking for one with an older version of Mac OS X.

Everyone is aware of this problem or have an idea for a fix?

    TIA

An iPhone will not pair Bluetooth with a computer (Mac or Windows) for one use other than personal hotspot and it will only do that if the carrier is supported. However, there are a number of things will be using Bluetooth between the computer and the iPhone where the devices are NOT matched. More information in Bluetooth: why can not connect my iPhone or iPad with another iOS device or my computer?

The following link for MacID support site has instructions on how to do the installation. It requires Bluetooth to be turned on in the computer and the iPhone, but the rest of the configuration/connection is done inside the MacID app on each device, not normal Bluetooth pairing as follows: http://macid.co/help/?c=Setup & sc = Pairing % 20A % 20device
