• Problem blackBerry Contacts application launch Smartphones and tasks after update of the device on the air.

  Hello

  I have problem launching Contacts and applications Taksks on my BB Bold 9900 after OS updated on-air 7.1 Bundle 2508 (v7.1.0.912, platform 5.1.0.641).

  The Contacts app is crash after trying to launch it's and not display anything (previous armored content is displayed). I have to press to close the application and return to the screen notrmal.

  The tasks app isn't launched and display error message: Eception exception: context of entry has a component of input null - apparentely focusGained has not been called by UiEngine.

  It's not disappear, even I reboot the device, remove the battery or wipe it.

  Can someone help me?

  HM, if I try to start tasks app with English as the language of current entry - this app has started without problem. Current developments in Russian language - prevent to start this application. Also if I delete files from Russian support of device using desktop - contacts and tasks soft application works ok without problem. May there are Russian software bug in support files.

• BlackBerry smartphones software update to the device to 4.5

  I have a new curve 8330 and I've updated the desktop v4.5 software.  I could not update the software of the device to 4.5 however.  The instructions tell you run Desktop Manager and click Update, but there is no option for it on the desktop.  Here, any help would be appreciated because I want to use dataviz documents to go, but it takes v4.5.

  Code 4.5 for CDMA devices are not yet available to the general public.

  I don't even think THAT RIM has just introduced them to their CDMA carriers for certification yet.

• BlackBerry Smartphones DTM & software update to the device

  I was always under the impression that I needed to download and install the latest software for my carrier device (for my PC) before I can update my BlackBerry OS.

  However, I had a PC brand new, installed the latest 5.0.1 BlackBerry Desktop Manager software and then plugged a device with an earlier version of the operating system installed.

  A more interesting question would be - could I update #3 à #4?  I doubt it, since I don't see that you can update CentOS 5. anything for CentOS 6. anything by just RPM installs, and it seems that the ability to update VMware Studio device is driven out of RPM.  Although there might be something else that I have not yet triggered in my experiences.

  Here's a tip for the user on the problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest from the top and bottom. Maybe one of them will help you.

  (1) restart you device.

  (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

  (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth). Channels 1, 6 or 11 are recommended for 2.4 band.

  (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4
