Laptop HP 15-ayo41wn: mad

I bought HP laptop laptop 15-ay041wn a week ago. When it bought I said specifically the people that the HP Notebook should be able to use a Pro Windows 7 operating system. The store that would work very well Microsoft said, it would be compatlble and so did a call to HP. After seeing all the problems, I find that works for DVD BUT the USB is not compatible with Windows 7. Why hell not telling me this from the beginning because I went through all the hassles and phone call to get Windows 7 Pro to work and software also got the company of laboratory, we work with as well, and NOW I have not found that the USB is not working. For this reason the lab equipment will not be able to become connected to the laptop.  The USB connection will work or I can't use the 40 k laboratory equipment $. My opinion of HP is not too high at the moment.

Your ranting is not making much sense, other then we get the fact that you are IN. would.

Were you able to get W7 to install, or weren't you?

If you W7 to install on your laptop, then all you need to do is to install the driver Intel USB3.

Download, unzip and run the file setup.exe from the link below.

https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/22824/USB-3-0-driver-Intel-USB-3-0-Extensible-host-controller-driver-for-Intel-8-9-100-series-and-Intel-C220-C610-chipset-family?product=65855

If you can not install W7 of a usb flash drive, then you must run this tool on a PC with W8.1 or W10 below.

There is a Readme on the link with instructions.

https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-creator-utility

You will also need to go into BIOS, enable mode inherited, that must disable secure boot so that you can install and continue to run W7.

W7 is not compatible with secure startup.

    reiffsm,
Here are a few things to try everything first.

1 disconnect all external devices (printers, USB hubs, USB keys, etc.) and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

  • Pavilion dv6700: Pavilion laptop computer under Vista: Windows does not start, the Startup Repair cannot fix it. What to do next?

    Hello
My laptop seven year old made me proud til yesterday, but now it does not fire upwards. Instead, it hangs for a minute or two (black screen, no HARD drive light blinks, nothing), while it charges to a screen with two options - either start the system restart or start Windows normally. The second option takes me around the loop again. The first option tells me that it cannot fix the problem automatically. When I display the error details, it lists all of the tests, as adopted successfully, but ends with the words: "Root cause found: failure so that the Setup program is underway.

I'm sure I know why she fell: two days ago, I left all my files on a portable player and defragmented the disk. The idea was to speed up the machine and get it running like new. He immediately started to hang when connecting, so I thought, well I'll go for a complete restoration of the system. I followed the procedure using the disks provided with the machine, and that's when it stopped working completely. I felt that this was more than the aging than HARD drive could take.

My attempts at rejuvenation have actually caused his untimely death? Or is there a difficulty - something I could undertake?

Or should I just bite the bullet and go and buy a new machine? When everything (screen, keyboard and trackpad) worked so well, it seems a shame...

Any help or thoughts welcome. Thank you

If you really want to resurrect, you could certainly purchase a new hard drive and try to restore the system of work using the recovery media - but then, even if it did work, you would have still lost all your data, settings, and applications in the process - and having to reinstall all your applications everywhere again.

Hey, don't feel bad, I'm guilty of this too - has recently attempted to resurrect an era Tablet XP PC so that it can run Win10!  He went from XP to Vista, Win7, for Win8 - and along the way, gains of new memory and drives hard - but the Win10 bet was too.  So, I got to a "give up to use it.

However, I also kept a cell phone 5 year alive by replacing the HDD with a SSD and adding more memory.  So now it is faster than ever, it has been and works like new.

But... He has NO touchscreen, there no USB3 ports, it doesn't have 1 GB ethernet - and the list goes.

Thus, it works very well for what we use it for - but it can't really be upgraded, so sooner or later, we will have to replace it.

Everything depends on how much you need 'new' - touch screen, stylus, handwriting, camera, 3 USB ports, display port jack, HDMI ports... etc.

  • Problem occurred down the Satellite U200-170

    Hello

I am new to this so forgive me if the question was already asked. I just bought a Satellite U200-170, it was the last in the store and I don't didn't want to wait 2 weeks to get the laptop so I bought the showroom model (which is in perfect condition). I did format the laptop because the store made 2 partitions Eaglets, I didn't. So when I was formatting the pc I have inserted the cd recovery (part 1/2) and the pc boots with all the necessary drives and utilities.

Subsequently I have insert (part 2/2) recovery cd but nothing happened so I thought that all utilities and drives has been on the first cd. Now the problem is that I have a few problems when I want to stop the laptop. The types of crashes screen when windows stops so I have to manually shut down the laptop by pressing the key. How to solve this problem.

I would also like to know what is on the second recovery CD.

    HI Grace,

Please check your recovery CD to see if they are labeled as the 1/2 and 2/2 Recovery CD. You must also have a CD "tools and utilities" that contains various Toshiba Utilities and extras.

If you do not have 2 Recovery CD then the complete installation process should ask you to change the first CD while the ANDS process loading install, after which the installation continues to load the second CD.

  • Equium A60-155: error of the Symantec antivirus

I have an error message from my anti-virus from Symantec that definitions of files are corrupt - this happens whenever the laptop is used - any ideas why it is doing this?

I tried different antivirus solutions... McAfee, AVG, Norton etc. but they all have similar problems - not loading correctly, errors in programs or just dropped.

I also reinstalled Symantec but which has not been set. I have also reinstalled the OS several times but it makes no difference.

I tried to live with the Norton Security 2004, delivered with the laptop, but that will keep not itself no longer updated, and when I try the update, it just falls and accidents - and it's the image came with the laptop without any change made.
This version of Norton also tends to make the laptop run like a 268.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

    Hello

As far as know license update Norton Anti Virus that has been pre-installed on the unit is available for 1 year. I think that after 12 months it of not possible update the file to virus definition, or you need to buy an additional license.
But I don't think it's responsible for the strange problem.

I put t understand this recovery procedure doesn't solve this problem.
Have you had a second partition? Maybe you have a virus on the second partition?
    Unfortunately I m of ideas. :(

  • iPod Touch will not connect to iTunes

My iPod Touch will not connect to iTunes. When I connect it to my laptop with the cable my laptop USB recognizes the iPod begins to charge and 10 Windows asks me if I want to open it to view files, but it seems to treat it as a camera and I just want to know if I want to get pictures on it and on the laptop.

I made sure I have the latest software updates on the iPod and iTunes and thought this would fix the problem, but iTunes still does not recognize my iPod because it never appears on the Panel for me to sync things for her, etc.

How can I get my iPod to be recognized by iTunes again? Very recently, it stopped connecting.

  • Interface Vista fault on satellite series

I have a satellite phone that I bought a few weeks ago but it's practically unusable, shortly after ignition due to a defect in the UI of Windows at the base address. Currently, I have six computers and three laptops running XP or Vista and have never seen something like this happen since the appearance of Windows.

What is happening is that, quite suddenly, you can be typing away or manipulate windows when the active window will maximize without warning when you press the key. Go to the very next touch on the pad, and no matter where you tap the screen, return the window to its previous state. You can type in a text box, a border, trying to remove a drop-down list box, tap the close, an empty area of the window and it will still do exactly the same thing. Sometimes, it minimizes rather and reverses between minimized and normal each time. The only way to stop it is to hit the ESC key - but who can work for a few seconds. Sometimes I have to restart to stop it that nothing will stop it occurring. Keyboard navigation seems to operate normally.

I have the last SP1 DVD (which works for me well on two other laptops) and installed but made absolutely no difference.

Someone has ideas, was a search but could not find something similar has reported?

I Don t have a lot of options for you. If you didn t installed a few applications that might interfere with the Windows Vista basic input system so I guess that some hardware malfunction around the subsystem of the keyboard/Touchpad.

In this case, I would first try a full recovery of the machine and if this doesn´t help then send the machine to the closest partner service available for a health check of material.

In my opinion: it s something with the hardware...

  • Problem with a Toshiba PX1267E 320 external drive

    Hi all

I have a problem with a Toshiba px1267e 320 external drive, when everything was ok with it I would like to move on and the blue led would come and change blue /violet as it was found on my laptop, a small vibration could be felt if I handled the case which indicates that the d/d engine was on.

After that fateful morning I turned on one explores in my computer and found no ext drive, checked the blue led disc on affected the case allowed to detect any vibration, eclipsed the reader of the case put my ear to hear low clicking.

I removed the device and connected to shopping cart, this time I could feel the engine goes, connected to the laptop, new hardware found made my computer explore and didn't find any drive, Device Manager enabled and found it so I uninstalled and reconnected the usb with the same result.
I don't know what to do next.

I had a Word with computer store if they could recover some time I wait they told at least 6 hours work, if possible (don't want to shop)
Bought me another model of the same digital Western not and new power to try to exchange the electronic circuit just in case he finds also the and/or possible fault we power/s but I'm clutching at straws here.

Anyone of you guys, here you have something like this happen? any suggestions?
I'm curious to know what they were going to try in the store to retrieve even if he said that he could not guarantee the results.
I would appreciate any helpful suggestion (not throw it in the trash)

I think that the external HARD drive is dead
Maybe it s a head crash which would explain the low clicking and other noises

  • Satellite A30 303 overheating and random stop.

Well on this laptop, it came out over a period of 20 months ago, the last year I had an overheating problem, I temporarily delayed by buying two desk fans to him but this summer I sent him far from being 'fixed' then after 1-2 months to be fixed the problem slowly began to re-occuring more often most of the time when I run the games.

Then I talked to some friends and they said on the incompatibility of the RAM somehow another ram of 256 in and it was not compatible with the original so I removed it and purchased a new 512 to go with 256. ALWAYS the laptop turns off, so RAM incompatibility was not the cause. I also bought a cooler laptop yesterday, that actually made it worse my computer now turns off a few seconds of a game being loaded.

I went into a store model, and they said to the ventilation systems for laptop as if they were defective when creating, they will continue to be faulty even when 'fixed '. What can I do about it? I'm looking for the cause.

I also had the computer under warranty for a year, but now the problem that was supposed to be fixed reappeared, but im now out of warranty, can't that ask something since the same problem they're supposed to difficulty is still there?
    Any help appreciated.

    Hi Bill,

Overheating and random power offs are surprisingly common on this model of laptop. The problem arises because the debris and dust is sucked into the grilles of the fan on the bottom of the laptop and is then trapped in the heat sink CPU effectively blocks. A thermal cut-out will work when the CPU temerature becomes too high and turns off the phone to avoid any damage.

Regular clearing of debris in the heat sink is necessary (I do mine a week). Usually a domestic pipe against the bars of fresh air fan will be sufficient, although in severe cases, it may be necessary to remove the radiator (accessible by removing a panel of access at the bottom of the laptop) and manually clear the debris.
