Laptop will not turn on or charge

My laptop only turns on when I press the power button. It will be not too to recharge the battery. I've had this phone for almost 2 years now, a this is the first time I have had this problem. I tried removing the battery and pressing the power for 30 seconds. I don't know if I need to replace the battery.

My laptop is Windows 7 Home premium.

How can I solve this problem?

Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your question on the Forum of Support HP

It seems that you are not able to turn on the laptop and tried to solve the problem

Please perform steps listed to find out if it is a hardware or software problem below:

1. remove all cables and devices, disconnect them and try to turn on the device

2. check the LED light situation and ensure the action of the spring button / stop is normal

3 Exchange with a well known power cord and the AC adapter

4 Pack no adapters are available, check if the power adaptor is slightly warm

Note: This will give us an indication that the power adapter could be good

5. do you know if the laptop was in battery or power adapter when you used the last time

Note: Make sure that there is no spill of liquid or cutting

6. check if the Port of the AC adaptor is loose/broken

Note: If the laptop is not on even with a power adapter well known, this confirms the hardware failure with the system board or power DC Circuit

  • K010 ENVY: my laptop will not turn off

    Hello

When I shutdown/hibernate/standby/resume my laptop, it will die completely.

All programs will be closed (when stop or restart) and I think that OS will also close. But the laptop will not turn off. Power LIGHT and fan will stay on.

And when I try to Hibernate, everything is ok, but I have the same problem.

Whenever I have to turn it off by holding the power button, otherwise the battery will be discharged.

After manual turn off, when I turn it on again, everything works correctly:

-If hibernation: OS will continue to last situation.

-If start/stop: OS works normally without error or warning.

After sleep, OS works from the beginning. Because the data stored in RAM and will be deleted after power off.

Perhaps a portable automatic perevent equipment turned off. All the drivers are up to date.

Is there a parameter/software to check and fix my problem?

    Thank you

    Hello

    You are welcome

On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.

You can use the following method to install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.

Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

If the computer shuts down correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

  • Watch will not turn on or charge

Two days ago, I bought my watch and it worked perfectly. I left to come from overseas and I couldn't load it while on the plan so it is dead. When I'm here I plugged it in and now it is not turn on or charge. What should I do?

    Hello

Try restarting your watch force: hold down the side button and the digital Crown for about 10 seconds, until you see the logo.

If this does not help, then try to charge your watch for about 2 hours, making sure that you follow the instructions from here:

After this period, if it has not already restarted automatically, remove it from the charger and:

    • Try restarting it (by pressing the side button until you see the Apple logo).
    • If necessary, then try force it restarts again.

After that I'm home from work yesterday I decided to go for free my BB, but unfortunately what happens always was that whenever I plugged in the charger, a red light appears flashing on my BB and it would not turn on or work, I decided to let it charge all night to see if that would be the case. Later this morning, I checked out my Flashlight again to see that it would not even turn on again. I tried to connect to the computer to see if he could load from there, but no luck was found. I contacted then technical support from Rogers to get help, they first told me to do a quick pull out the battery and put it again to see if a reboot might solve the problem, no luck. They then told me to do the same thing, but this time when the red light shows that I would hold the space key for that BB would be start in safe mode, no luck. He then too try to reload the OS of my BB by BB Desktop Manager. Too bad, I could not even connect my laptop to my computer.

So now I ask you guys to see if there is something else I could do that would fix my BB. Note that I would like a way in which I have to erase the memory of my BB, since I have not backed up the data again (I just bought it 2 days ago). But if I have too, I will.

    Hello

There seems to be a defect with your handset, you just need to know where it is. What you explained I see that you have tried your feeder area and USB so the problem is not with the charger.

If possible is that you can try using a battery of another torch? If you don't know anyone with your handset, you should be able to try this in the store one of your suppliers. This battery swap will show where the fault is, if the handset works with another battery, it means that your battery is defective - and if not then it's your handset.

You will need to contact your network provider to arrange the repair or replacement of the defective material.

    Hi Yemel,

This question could be either software or hardware partners. Start safe mode and check if you can close properly.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Safe mode is an option of troubleshooting for Windows that starts your computer in a limited State. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started. Mode safe mode appears in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you are using.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:

If the problem does not persist in Mode safe then the problem may be due to a third-party program/application. To determine which program or application is causing the problem, try to place the computer in a clean boot state, and check.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Follow the section 'More information' to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting.

    Please refer to:

Note: changing the BIOS settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
