• Corrupted incoming for Gmail account mail server settings

  After the upgrade to El Capitan, Mail was working fine, but then stopped working for my account Gmail after a few reboots of the mail app and maybe a reboot of the system.   I'm an Admin for a treatment centre and one of our psychiatrists has a BB tour. He asked me the other day if I could set up his email account on our server for him on his phone. Through the messaging configuration wizard, I selected "Other" account and configure for IMAP, and then he asked me his email address and the password. He took the domain name and assured that the names of mail servers have been so. Now in a perfect world, this would not be a problem. I recently picked up a complete idiot and this guy has our MX records pointing to a 3rd party company where all of our outside emails go and then Outlook clients are set up at the pop of this box, in addition to the installation of Exchange (I know its totally lame). Ive done everything everyone what just configure an IMAP account with the IP address of the server and mail works very well for them. I can't for the life of find me where I can actually change the names of e-mail server for the IMAP account, I have create on his tour of BB. Is this a limitation of the phone? Or I'm in the right place. Thank you!

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  You must use the Advanced Integration, via the BIS carrier site, and you may need to 'false' on the first step... give the email address valid but a false password... then you'll be able to get to the screens that allow you to indicate the specific server names.

  Every time I closed Windows mail (in vista Ultimate edition), and then restart, the incoming and outgoing mail, password and exit default port from a former Executive of a previous hosting company I had set.

  I deleted the box mailbox and returned it, but it always changes back the settings I used 12 months ago. Becomes a real pain to reset these things whenever I start windows Messaging.

  1. open Windows Mail > tools > accounts > is the "old account" again on the list? If Yes, 'delete '.

  Dear friends,

  I solved my problem with the process posted in the next treatment.  The manual does not provide sufficient details to complete the process.

  

• BlackBerry Smartphones can access not again e-mail server POP of CompuServe.

  This week, CompuServe moved their customers to a new mail server, "pop.csi.com" on the standard port 110.  We managed to update all our other e-mail clients to use this server without any problems.

  Ah Ah... the trick is to put in a 'false' email account to begin, IE. [email protected] and then to let it fail and ask you the real parameters, rather than letting "detect" the Compuserve account settings.

• BlackBerry Q10 Q10 deleting Email from my mail server, Email disappeared!

  It's new to my Blackberry experience.  It only happened on the "BOLD".

  Ofter when traveling on the road I clear my mails to my Q10, before you delete it.

  Emails have always been available from my laptop when I need to access.

  However, now, surprise me, when I delete e-mail from Q10, they are removed from my POP mail server

  So I lost some valuable email when I tried to use my laptop to get back them.

  What is happening here.  This is not good.

  Is there a setting to fix this?

  If you can follow simple instructions in this link, you can update your operating system and have the option to remove only on handheld or both.

  If you don't feel that you can follow these instructions or don't want you will have to wait for your operator to release the update.

  Hi... very new to the Z10 and work through some issues.  I'm trying to get my Z10 to delete the message on my mail server, when I remove the phone is off.  For example, to delete Gmail e-mails into the phone, but if I connect to Gmail deleted messages are still in my Inbox.  How can I fix it?  Thanks in advance!

  How long can you wait to remove? It is a low-priority task and can take some time.

  I just deleted one and it took about 20 minutes to remove webmail on my gmail account.

• E-mail from Q10 peripheral blackBerry control the Server - / unread and delete!

  My problem is that my BB Hub seems to have complete control over my web mail server.  In other words, whenever I delete an email in my Inbox BB Hub, it removes the enamel on my server as well.  It is a huge problem for me, with regard to the last ten years, I was in the habit of deleting e-mails on my device once I read them and then to remedy later in my office, where messages were also pulled down by Outlook (or, when I travel, I can go online and see the messages online through my web server directly).  It is more than a mere preference: it is essential to be able to read some emails on a normal sized screen.  The small screen of a phone just doesn't cut it sometimes.

  Another problem I have is that my BB Hub inbox marks all messages as "read", before even that I read them.  And, when I mark not 'read', it makes them pop back up on my server.  It is also more than a minor annoyance: when you get 300-500 emails per day, it's really hard to keep track of what you've read and what you do not have when all of them are marked as 'read '.

  Is it possible to divorce my server online ordering of the Q10?  Put on 'manual' and 'push' sync will not work.

  If you are unable to use Outlook and BB10 and yet messages come not "read" for your device, then that adds a major drawback.  Maybe I'm not fairly warned with Outlook, but I don't think that it will allow you to pull down messages from the server and let them still "no read" on this server.  You can leave a copy of the original message on the server, but you can't leave it in a State "unread".  This will prevent the Z/Q10 have unread messages on its screen (if you use Outlook on your desktop).

  And you're on the dangerous territory to be able to permanently delete the messages from the server, removing them from your device.  The BB has always been an additional tool, not a replacement for the desktop environment.  If I can no longer delete messages I've read the until I'm sure that they have been pulled down from the server and saved by Outlook, this will result in a much more crowded Inbox on a daily basis and so more time it cleaning at the end of each day.  BB was supposed to add for convenience, not diminish it.

  BB10 is nothing like inheritance, so expect that it would work as legacy is for the disappointment. Legacy devices used BIS, which provided all the functions you mention. BB10 doesn't use BIS and instead has a client full email on the device, which works the way it is designed.

  It is clear from everything you describe, WAD - works as expected. The mailbox on the device and the server are supposed to now be images of mirror each other... whatever you do one account to another. There is no way to replace it, since it's WAD.

  Workarounds exist using the server folders to move things rather than delete them. Workarounds are heavy, but they are what they are. The design of the device, it's what it is.

  Many hope that future updates can bring some of these features to the BB10 platform, but no one can say if/when this will happen. For now, it is what it is.

  I just installed a fresh copy of vCloud UM 3.2 and by setting the outgoing mail server field setting is not retained.

  I enter the host name of Server mail in the host field, none for the authentication and the inlet and to e-mail addresses.

  I click on save, tried clicking on save 2 - 3 times but if disconnect me and back again the host field is empty.

  If anyone has experienced this problem or is it possible to fill in the field when editing a file maybe?

  There are two save buttons, I never noticed that directly under the host server field, port information and credentials.

  I kept clicking on one at the bottom of the page.

  I completely missed the middle of the page, could not see the wood through the trees.
