• Vista Home Premium SP2 installation problems

  SP2 says its installed but Windows Update shows it as an available update. When I view the system information, it still shows only installed SP1. I tried the standalone install and I got error 0 X 80070564 connection failed. SP2 shows as has been properly installed on Windows updates the history but it shows also the lack of installation after 2-3 hours to install, restart, then back to sp1. I stop all AV, Spyware, adware, Windows Defender by other items on the SP2 installation problems. I also ran system preparation and the System File Checker.   I would recommend trying to create a new user account with administrative privlages and you try to upgrade to SP2 from here. This will tell us if it has something to do with the internal components of your user account.

• SP2 Installation problems

  I have difficulties to obtain Service Pack 2 for x 64 Vista install.

  I tried to install SP2 previously but my computer has been damaged somewhere in the process and would not start windows. I used the Windows installation disk to repair Windows and so I was able to boot my computer, but SP2 cannot be installed accordingly. It has reached stage 3 of 3 before it failed.

  I didn't realize that SP2 was not installed until I started having problems printing. I could not print anything because the print spooler kept to stop when I try to print. I could start it easily thanks to administrative tools > services, but when I try to print it stops. Now, I realize that this isn't the only app that fails. The Director of bureau will stop when I hit the switch between the windows key in the lower left corner of my screen.

  When I try to install SP2 now it completes phase 1 of 3 only to say that "some of the evolution has failed. Restoration of the changes. Retries at startup. "Then the computer will restart and get to the same point to say"cannot install Service Pack. Returning from the changes. »

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  • You try to download Service Pack 2 manually or through Windows update?

  Sometimes, when I type on my Lenovo laptop g550, the letters sometimes will stop.   Hello, I have a problem installing Audio driver on my new S10e 4068 - 4JG netbook as follows:

  I bought with Novell Suse Linux, but I decided to install Windows XP SP3. I tried several times to install the driver Realtek High Definition Audio, but it was not successful. Audio Realtek High definition has not apper in Control Panel-> sounds and Audio devices or in-> audio, video and game controllers Device Manager.   Product Key Finder programs, if someone advises to use, is found only on your operating system preinstalled a Levono multiple factory facilities and will be of no use in these circumstances.

  You will need to contact Lenovo and request their assistance.

  Or a way around this is to buy a Lenovo recovery DVD to reinstall the operating system or use the built-in recovery Partition containing an image of your OS and reinstall Windows like that.

• Suggestions for Vista SP2 installation?

  I have the window update the value "warn me before to download and install".  So, I have been notified that SP2 is available.  Need suggestions on the best estimate how to install without problems.  Must I download/install from boot.  Should I disable all applications security same Win Defender and Firewall of Win.

  I installed SP2, the easy way.  I used the free Microsoft support available for SP2.  Microsoft took control shared my PC and downloaded/saved/ran/installed Stand alone packaging and analysis tool.   They holding me hands and accompanied me every step and I got SP2 installation without flaw.

  I have a problem with my tocuhpad. The touchpad in question is of the Alps. At the time wherever I have to connect the charger, the touchpad stops working & the cursor becomes static.

  At the time wherever the charger is removed, the unit works normally.

  I tried & updated the driver Alps several times, even tried with system restore to the day I bought my laptop. The problem still persists.

  Pls suggest what needs to be done to solve this problem.

  Looks like that the isn'tcompatible touchpad with your version of Vista or if you have some sort of hardware problem.  Confirm the touchpad is compatible http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/ or from the manufacturer.  If this is the case, then it sounds like a hardware problem and you will need to place a claim under the guarantee, while it is still new and has a.  It's a USB device?  Have you tried a different USB port?  Confirmed that it does not reach all USB devices?  It's bluetooth, the same applies as far as confirmation of what other bluetooth devices is not the same problem.  It can also be a kind of hardware with the touchpad problem, but I don't see that as likely.

  I can't think of something to see in Vista to this problem which you haven't already tried.  Well, maybe one or two things:

  Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

  Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.
